The ox tails are amazing! Good ole comfort food!! My husband enjoyed his smash burger and the frozen drinks were excellent. Highly recommend!!

It was so fun, the karaoke was great and all the outdoor seating was perfect! The Sausage link basket was delicious - sausage was juicy, fries were crisp and pillowy

I went on Soulfood Thursday for the first time and the chicken and dressing was the absolute best I have ever had! The greens and sweet potatoes were amazing as well! Can't wait to go back for more!

I visited for a bike night. I had no idea this place existed. The vibe is a whole mood! The fill-in bartender kept apologizing for not knowing the drinks. I appreciated her being there to help out so thanks Sis! Please stop by if you can. Kid friendly

It was Mt 1st time there. It's a chill vibe with great food. I ordered the oxtail plate. You get 3 oxtail on a bed of rice, collard greens, and candied yams. Now that's some good eating. The people there were all bibing with each other. I would definitely come back.

Hyder's beer garden is like being at the family backyard picnic where they are serving you food and drinks and if you need a hair cut you can cross the park and go to the barbershop A good time with good people

We had a blast. A whole bunch of family got together, and this what is the place we ended up at. Went to just have a drink and we were pleasantly surprised when we found out they serve food as well. We had a plate of fried bass with some fries that plate didn’t last too long and we ended up having to order a couple more.

I tried the Oxtails plate and I never ate Oxtails. They are the BEST FOOD I have Ever had. Also the best owners in the World. I had a great time and the DJ playing great music. I will bring all my friends from work. We went to Sign Bar down the street but I prefer this place much better. I will recommend to all my friends and family. I forgot about the kids area and jump house, brought my kids last week they had a blast on jump house and play area🎉🤗

Hyder is a hidden gem in East Austin. The owners are some of the nicest people that you’ll ever meet in. The service in food is always on point. They always have a great vibe with music, and there is a play area for your little ones to enjoy. They have a variety of food, including a Birria truck and a American/soul food truck. Admittedly, i’ve gone to the American truck and when I tell you that this food is bomb, it’s bomb. Come support a small business!

The vibes at this spot is overall chill, patio vibes with a dance floor, positive atmosphere, they have karaoke nights, a moonwalk & little play scape for the kiddos, we tried their 6 piece Bone in Wings which was fresh and delicious and can’t forget the affordable drinks ! The owners there treat you like family & super sweet ! I found my new chill spot <3 :)

I finally stopped by after driving by and seeing the cool lights and lounge area lit up every night and it did not disappoint! The drinks are decently priced, the food is made with love, and the owners are very hospitable, kind, and welcoming. The wings were the best I’ve had in the area. I love a good crispy wing and this was perfect. I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

This place rules. The food is great. The Long island ice teas from the bar are basically 16oz of somehow delicious pure alcohol for $10 bucks. The vibe is right.

This is exactly the kind of place we love to discover. It’s an empty lot near the road that has been transformed into an awesome community space with delicious food and a relaxed vibe. I’m happy to have found it, and omg the food hit the spot!

This place is a mindblower, not what you would expect, I mean come on a bar with a delicious Mexican & soul food truck on a spacious patio, well decorated. Hyder’s is Austin next top rising place. The owner very welcoming, had drinks with them they’re so freaking cool! I will be recommending all my friends, love it here!

I visited this place not knowing much about it but was really impressed. I loved the arrangement of the seating and outdoor furniture along with the lights. It was clear thought was put into the arrangement and making it comfortable. I was there on a quiet night so there wasn't a lot of activity but the place is clearly set up for entertainment as well. The best part was really the owners. They were warm, friendly, accommodating, and clearly took pride in their venue to a level I haven't seen in a while. If you're looking for a comfortable outdoor spot with food and a solid drink selection, run by the friendliest people, then I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

I was there for a graduation party on a Saturday night. The dj was amazing.. playing 90s-2000s r&b and hip hop. I love the scenery and they had a bouncy house for kids... might just be on the weekend. They have a TV up near the front for games, but not much seating by it. They did cater and the wings and dirty rice were good.

Couldn’t ask for more from a local beer garden. The staff are super personal and genuine. The drinks are strong and the vibe is just right. Highly recommend stopping by on your way home!
