I stopped in for a gluten-free pizza for a second time this year today. I informed the kitchen that I have Celiac's, and chatted with the friendly staff while they made my pizza. When it was served, I once again found it hard to believe it was gluten free. The crust was great, even doughy, which is usually impossible for gluten-free pizza or baked goods. The owner took the time to come over to my table and ask how it was, and then, to my amazement, told me where I could buy the flour online so I could make the dough at home as I live over an hour away. He also offered that if I had questions, I could call him and he would walk me through it. Talk about going above and beyond to make your customers happy! Not only will I be back, but next time I will be sure to bring the whole family to enjoy his delicious food. Thanks again!!

Wow! Although I am not an easily impressed person (because I cook well myself and am very picky in my dining experiences) this pizzeria unexpectedly blew me away! When you pull up to this place l, the outside of the building and surroundings are NOTHING like the experiences inside! I was submerged into a little Italian family cuisine. We ordered a bunch of different chicken dinners, a large pizza, a large salmon salad, non-alcoholic drinks, and even deserts! The bill came up just a little over a hundred. The dishes were big, tasty, and cooked with love while using good quality products. Many pizza places (and pretty much all chain restaurants) use frozen prepared ahead meals/meats. This place was nothing like those other places. The food tasted better than pricey 5 star restaurants!! I was truly amazed, and really didn’t expect to have such a high quality meal in Scranton PA! From now on. we will plan on stopping at this place when traveling. What a treat. Even the desert (warm, soft and huge brownie topped with tasty French vanilla Icecream) was divine . I don’t even like brownies but this one I ate to the very last bite and had hard time sharing! LOL. ! The food and service at this place simply makes you happy. A Little Pizza Heaven…Thank you, thank you, thank you for your wonderful service and delicious food. What a well managed family business. ❤️❤️❤️

The pepperoni and sausage pizza was decent..I was told to get the mozzarella block appetizer and it was delivered all messy. Was not happy AT ALL. gotta be better than that..all the cheese damn near all came out

I can’t figure out all the positive revues for this place, I have given A Little Pizza Heaven the benefit of the doubt, easily a half dozen times & every time it gets worse. My latest order Gnocchi dinner, sauce was watery & terribly bland & definitely not home made, I am use to light & fluffy, these were very gummy. Large tray of round pizza, terribly bland, wasn’t cooked all the way, could have used about 3 more minutes. Large order of Zeppole’s, they tasted like someone took them straight out of the fryer & dipped them in sugar, disgusting & terrible, they went in the garbage. Large order of Garlicky Zeppole they were the same way, not drained properly ( total incompetence & total inexperience) , they were a total disappointment because they smelled great & the flavor was good, they went in the trash. All in all it was $50 worth of trash, I won’t recommend this place at all, I recommend you stay away & spend your money elsewhere. A Little Pizza Heaven should be ashamed to call themselves an Italian eatery, that’s an insult to Italy & Italian people all over the world. I omitted this…… I got a cannoli also, one bite & tossed it, wasn’t made fresh, the shell tasted like it was refrigerated for several days. All in all, terrible experience, this was the very last time I will step foot in that establishment.

I really enjoyed the Gluten Free Calzone. I will be returning to try some of the other GF options.

After Kit Dwight and I wandered about Steamtown, National Park Service Historic Site for 2+ hours we visited our First Pizza Joint of the Lackawanna County Pizza Trail. After perusing the menu and getting some recommendations from one of the owner's, Darrel... We decided to try one of their Gourmet Pizzas, the "Italian Stallion". It's made with fresh dough, crushed tomato sauce,topped with pepperoni, sausage, prosciutto, sopppressata, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil added after baking. The pizza was huge, the crust was crispy with it's fair share of fluffy outer ring, thin with considerable flop for the first inch or so of the center tips... Knife and fork was necessary to eat that portion and the rest could be folded for eating the rest of the slice. All ingredients were top shelf, the toppings were delicious and all of it melded well to make it a pleasure to eat. The right amount of spiciness from the sauce, buttery with good texture of the melted cheese and the seasoning was well balanced. There's 60+ location's listed in the Pizza Trail Passport Book that receives a ink stamp from each of the restaurants upon your visit and your purchase. The vernacular or lingo differs for what you call the pie or slice. They call a Pizza Pie a "Tray" A Slice is called a "Cut" Tray of Red is a "Plain Pizza with Red Sauce" Tray of White is a "Specialty Pizza with Cheese Only" Now the Red or White can have a second Crust on top and it is usually seasoned with Olive Oil and herbs like Rosemary... That's how I have it in "Old Forge, Pennsylvania" which is called the "Pizza Capital of the World"!!! I would recommend anyone if not everyone take a trip out into Pennsylvania to give their regional Pizza offerings taste!!!

My husband and I came in for lunch and it was the best experience either of us have ever had at a restaurant, hands down! Our waitress, Elena, was so attentive and helpful. They were able to accommodate my pregnancy in terms of using certain ingredients in my meal (Try It, You’ll Like It! Stromboli), and were so happy for us! There was a family celebrating a birthday and we all sang for them, and the family offered us and another couple some of their cake. The restaurant truly felt like everyone in there was family. GET THE GARLICKY ZEPPOLES - I am STILL craving them and it’s been two weeks.

This was our first time at Pizza Heaven and it was amazing. The service was great, server attentive AND child-friendly. My son felt comfortable ordering his own food (5.5 years old) for the first time! The older kids ordered too. The food took a little long, BUT came out piping hot and gluten free separately! The only CON is I wish I would have known about their gluten free dessert menu before getting/eating our meals. It would have taken too long to wait for the desserts to be made. Other than that, I highly recommend! Everyone enjoyed their lunch and prices were incredibly reasonable.

I rarely Post- but for this meal I must. Chicken Parm made from whole chicken breast not pounded, not even thin sliced- like Kentucky Fried chicken. Sauce was pizza sauce, not pasta sauce. And not good- tasted like old, dried oregano and tomato purée/paste. Pasta was dead/overcooked. Pasta e Fagioli- was beans and pasta cooked into the Pizza sauce. Sad. Salad- meh. I know people talk positively about this place, but I was seriously disappointed.

Me and my husband went here for a lunch date. Our waitress Elena was completely amazing. She was funny, attentive, and extremely polite. The atmosphere was wonderful. A group was celebrating a birthday and the whole restaurant sung in celebration. The penne and vodka sauce was extremely flavorful. The garlic knots were addictive. The overall flavor, atmosphere, and price point was great.

I’ve never been disappointed and I’ve been at least monthly for 2 years now. The jambalaya pasta is my favorite but the pizza and other pastas are all amazing. Then you have desserts. The tiramisu is heavenly and the cheesecake calzones are delectable. If you are in the area and don’t try it you are missing out. Just make sure to call for a reservation so you have a seat.

I order for work regularly with the guys. The order is always ready and hot when I get back to wherever I'm working. The portions are good and I can't eat it all in most cases or I'd have to take a nap and can't finish the day in construction. Lol

Pizza is omg 🤯 good. I haven't tasted a Sicilian pizza like this (ever) Give this place a try. We had a little bit of a wait, was about 30 mins. Well worth the wait. These pizzas are humungus!! Very satisfied.

Best gluten free pizza I've had in a long time

My son and I stopped in to grab a bite in-between his basketball games. Neither of us guessed we would have the best pizza we have ever had. We shared the Italian Stallion. It was indeed "heavenly." Absolutely would recommend.

This was the first time for me. I was here with a group of friends. We came here for dinner, which was good and reasonably priced. While there, I also noticed many people picking up orders. The service was also good. I would recommend this place.

March 29, 2024 Plain pizza to go. Tasted like Ragu pasta sauce with cheese on a slice of white bread. Never again.

My son and I love to go to A Little Pizza Heaven for a quiet dinner out. The food is always good. The wings are delicious!

Great little pizza joint. My wife had house salad as well. Both were great. I can’t remember name of my pizza but it had pepperoni, onions olives, it was supposed to have anchovies but I did t get those. It was very tasty. Toppings were fresh. I would definitely go back. Everybody was saying the desserts were really good but we were too full. So we didn’t try one.

It’s not often you see restaurants step up so that you don’t feel like a second class citizen because of an allergy. These folks hit it out of the park. We ordered gluten free Stromboli and it was amazing. The crust was perfect and not the normal gritty that causes me to avoid most bread when eating out. My husbands Italian aunts would have loved the sauce it was perfectly seasoned This will definitely be a place to stop in our travels

We ordered from here a few months ago, when we found them following the Lackawanna Pizza Trail. Pizza was really good, wondered if it was always like that. We ordered from there again last night, OMG... it was AMAZING. Easy one of our top 3 favorite places! Always have a Happy Staff. Great food. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Picked up for a second time tonight (2/23) and the two blonde girls behind the counter thought it would be cute to snicker and talk about my family member who was picking up the food, all because they didn’t understand what I was saying. They even had to talk about the fact I asked for plasticware to go. They were super unprofessional. The food here is good but due to the service tonight, I don’t think we will be back. Sad.

I had the Margherita pizza which was AMAZING!!! I Also sampled the seafood pasta dish. YUUUMMMM shrimp, crab & scallops were all a very good size. No teeny tiny pieces here. The cheese sauce was great too! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this golden gem hidden in Scranton.

Two consecutive years this has been our family Christmas gathering place, as well as 96 yr old matriarch's birthday celebration. 25 to 30people, with 5 little boys, all coming from afar and it's perfect! Table for gifts, table for cake, and tables set for meal, food ready to go as soon as we all arrive, and it's all delicious! Couldn't be happier with Little Pizza Heaven!!

This is the third year in a row that we have held our family's Christmas get-together here. There are 27 of us. They are so accommodating and allow us to take over the dining room before they are open. The food? What can I say except that it is always exceptional quality. Salads are fresh..strombolis and calzones hand made. .generous portions....large gluten-free options...excellent sauces....and so much more. Highly recommend their authentic Italian fare and exceptional service. Ed was so attentive to our needs and constantly refilling beverages and cleaning up. One of my favorite places to eat in Scranton!

Crust too thick, crust too soft, not enough sauce on buffalo chicken pizza, takeout is weird dont even have a counter to go to just standing near the door. Takeout time takes longer than they mention. Not good enough flavor to order again.

I'm leaving some constructive criticism, because I love this place, the food is fantastic, and I will continue to regulary order here for as long as I live in the area. I got the Chicken Nepoli with Angel Hair, and my goodness it was delicious, especially for the affordable price. The dish comes with whole chicken breast, and while it was perfectly cooked, all of the tendons and cartilage were still on, making it a total pain in the butt to cut and eat with the amazing pasta. I would gladly pay an extra dollar for the chicken to properly be trimmed of all of the crunchy and chewy bits haha. I would personally just go for a boneless skinless thigh for extra flavor. The dish itself was fabulous, and even with the breast retaining those bits, it was still amazing too. The quality of food that comes out of this little place never ceases to impress me, and it makes me wish you guys would buy out that stupid cigarette place next door, and add more seating space. It's always jam packed when I come in on a weekend haha. Thanks!

This was our 3rd visit to A Little Pizza Heaven, and we have NEVER been disappointed. I had the chicken marsala, and my husband had the seafood Pompei. Both entrees were plentiful and delicious. Both of us took half of our meals home to enjoy again the next day. Do yourself a favor and stop in, you will not be disappointed!

After reading a bad review and me being a regular I felt it was my obligation to present my opinion. No the location isnt the best , no the parking can be a little tricky, and dont expect great ambiance but that doesnt make a successful restaurant. If you are looking for a place to go with friends and have great food great service at a great price then its here. Even gluten items. No finger bowls here but i will be back with family and friends keep up the good work and dont take the chicken picatta off the menu.

My wife and I went there for lunch today. By far the best pizza we've had in years. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the owner was friendly and helpful, and the "Little Pizza Heaven Special" was loaded with quality toppings.

Weekday late lunch; was not busy at all; small dining room. Waiter (older gentleman) was friendly and efficient. We ordered pizza, fries and sandwiches. Everything was excellent especially considering the very reasonable prices. Wish I were a local and could go there more often.

My wife and I were both disappointed in our entrees. My wife sent her veal picatta back and were not charged for it. My penne with marinara was edible but nothing I would order again. We did not try the pizza and will not return.

We decided to give the #1 pizza place a visit while passing through town. If I was local, I would not go back. The dining room is very small and we did not have reservations. Despite this, a younger guy said he’d get us seated after cleaning a table (3 tables were empty). In the meantime, another man told us it’d be at least a 20 min wait because we didn’t have reservations, the other tables were spoken for & he needed a large party to leave before he could seat anyone else. There was no one else currently waiting on a table, just us. The first guy seated us a few min later & was stuck behind the counter the rest of the time. The 2nd guy, who wanted us to wait, was the ONLY waiter. They were busy and his attitude showed, as he was short with everyone. After getting our drinks, he took our order, asking if it was going to be long and if he needed to write it down. He should have because 5 minutes later he came back asking what we wanted on our pizza. Only 2 toppings to remember… The pizza was good, thin crust and light. A drink was spilled at a nearby table. The waiter half cleaned up the liquid off the floor with a rag and his shoe. I was mortified to see him pick up the rag and proceed to wipe off the table with it!!! He then refilled drinks and I’d almost bet he never stopped to wash his hands after handling the dirty rag. Our drinks were switched when we got refills, not getting our same cup back. I’m thankful he wasn’t making our food as all of this was completely unsanitary!! Regardless of how good the food is, the service was subpar! Again, if I was a local, I wouldn’t go back.

I come into town for business four times a year and I try to eat at different restaurants to get a feel for the area. Why did I not know about A Little Pizza Heaven before this? I was cautioned to be careful when driving there because it was "a little hole in the wall" and you might miss it. I almost did but luckily I found it. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Sorrento. My dinner came with salad, pasta and bread. Everything was amazing. The portions are generous and the service was spectacular, especially Eddie with his wit and friendly nature. This may be a small restaurant but the food says, "Amazing". I will return to this place in the future and I highly recommend it for an enjoyable dining experience. Every meal is finished with a kiss. A Hershey kiss that is. Oh and did I mention that I took a cannoli to go? This is one place that you wont want to miss. I'm glad that I read the reviews and listened.

We love small, family run restaurants. This was one. I had the Chicken Sorrento, tender boneless chicken topped with eggplant, tomato sauce and mozzarella. My husband had the Lasagna. Both were big portions and absolutely delicious. The owner and chef told us he uses his mother in law’s recipe for sauce. She’s from Naples. Our waiter was attentive, funny and efficient. We loved him. We were on a road trip to Canada and hoped to stop here on our way back, but unfortunately, they are closed Mondays.

Everything was amazing. The chicken wings (honey bbq) were my personal favorite of the night. I did not take a picture unfortunately 😥 will be going back before I travel back home thousands of miles away. I'm big on not eating the same food twice when I travel because I like to try everything in the region/area. BUT I will be back 🤤

We’ve had countless visits here and they have never disappointed! Literally everything on the menu is great! Some of our go-to favorites are the garlic zeppoli, veal sorrento, shrimp and scallops con vino, and cannoli. Very friendly and personable staff, and you can’t beat the prices! I recommend making a reservation because space is limited and this place fills up quick! We ❤️ Little pizza heaven!!
