Def a hidden gem in the heart of Linden, NJ. I pulled up and was unimpressed but from time I entered it was a nice chill spot. Service was terrific food and drink options were nice with a hefty potion. Overall def recommend and I will revisit.

You wouldn't think much of this place when u pass by...oh, but what a hidden gem! Whole different story when you go inside. Greeted by friendly faces always. The dishes are worldly and absolutely delicious. Their drinks are very good, the stars being their different types of sangria! $25 per pitcher specials on Thursdays! My favorite appetizer is the shrimp and scallop in a cheesy sauce. Favorite entree is the shirt steak with chimi sauce & veggies. We always leave full, mildly buzzed and happy. :)

Tonight we had a waitress who was pregnant and seemed drunk. She couldn't understand basic English and seemed dazed and confused. We waited 45 minutes for soup and then our main meals came out 2 minutes later and cold! She obviously forgot to put our soup orders in as she was too busy playing on her cell. This place has broken lights that flicker and have been like this for over a year now, be careful if you have epilepsy! This place should learn their trade.

Went to nice establishment food was great servers were great up untill I went to the bar the bartender Val was a snippy person rude to most customers only seemed nice to some regulars

Been there twice now and the food was so good both times. The star for us and we got this both times we went was the Hungarian pancake wow! The dish is soo perfect. Cristy potatoes on outside and flavorful soft and the beef goulash really takes it to another level. The service is really good at this place too and atmosphere is very clean. And they are not shy either when making cocktails.. hehe.

1st time here 5-17-24 and will def be back. The food was amazing. The cream of carrot soup was so good and a huge portion. The salmon was also terrific and of course the sangria was great. We sat outside and the atmosphere was so nice , our waiter was super great. Def recommend

Do not order takeout, it takes twice as long to get your order then they tell you and the staff is just rude

So quite an amazing and unique restaurant. Very diverse menu. I had the Abigal special-perogies, kielbasa, and cabbage roll for only $20. Wonderfully cooked and tasted homemade! Must try the warm cookies for dessert or the 8 other options. Don’t go to a chain restaurant when you could come here instead. The prices were very reasonable. My server was awesome very friendly and the food came out really quick. I think I may go back one more time before heading home! Did it! Went back for the filet in madera wine sauce-a must try!!!!

Food was beyond fantastic. The waitress was very kind and pleasant. Overall, 5 stars I would 100% come here again.

Everything from the bread, appetizers, sangria, and main course was simply amazing. Tonight my husband and I had the Calamari, Peach Sangria, and Braised Short Ribs. This restaurant did not disappoint. Awesome place for date night, meet up with colleagues, or just a casual night out. The service was impeccable. Kudos to the owner Cristian.

I love going to this place, food is good, workers and customers are usually nice. Their sangria will give you that extra kick you need after a long day. Please be aware, after a pitcher of sangria and you paid your bill; make sure you save your receipt. I am not sure how long they've been doing this but I happen to Check my credit card bill, and saw that and extra 10$ was added for tip by the waitress/ manager; mind you this is after we paid 20% of the tip. She was confronted a few days later regarding this, 😳 she stated it was a mistake and wanted to return the 10$. I think she was hoping, after a pitcher of sangria, people will be too loopy/ tipsy to care about their finance. It was not about the extra 10$, it was about DECEIVING and stealing. I walked a way and left the 10$ on her hand, since she needed it more then I do!! 🤨🤯😠!! Again, please SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS AND MAKE SURE IT COINSIDE W. YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD TRANSACTIONS. Devious and deceitful people out here; while they smile in your face.. Be safe and aware!!

Cozy Polish/Portuguese cafe. Delicious Sangria. Varied assortment of Polish and Portuguese dishes. Excellent service, nice atmosphere and well prepared dishes. The food exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. Parking available along the fence across the street. Worth a visit.

Went here for lunch with a group from work, I think 12 of us. Despite our group size, everything came out as ordered and hot. Everyone loved their dishes and commented how flavorful it was. The pierogies, garlic butter shrimp, and kielbasa were all great. I’ll be visiting again with my family in the future.

Love the white sangria! Cuisine perfectly prepared! Enjoyed my broiled salmon with potatoe dumplings! Great service!

The shrimps in lemon butter sauce ,man ! Amazing ! App or dinner,very tasteful. Switch the shrimp for Salmon, thank me later ! Pretty chill atmosphere. Service was great.

The food was plentiful but lacked a bit of flavor... The alfredo dish could use a little more sauce as it was kind of dry... After adding a little salt & pepper it was good... I definitely will be back to dry more dishes... Prices are very very reasonable!

Excellent food with good service. The downside was how loud and obnoxious the music and overall vibe was. The charm wore off when they turned off all the lights to sing happy birthday to a table the first time…and they did it twice.

I absolutely love this place. We feel so at home with Val, Monica and Amanda. The best bartenders ever. They make us feel like family. We love to come back to see these gals and tell our friends which have told us that they feel the same way. Carolyn and Pumpkin 🥰

Abigail's chicken in piri piri sauce was flavorful but very salty. Steak sandwich my husband had was very dry. Calamari appetizer had a nice flavor, but most peices were over-cooked.

The wait staff is horrible, borderline clueless. Service is horribly slow, especially for lunch. Two hours for lunch and only serving a Turkey Club and soup? They can't even get the order correct - twice! No mayo means NO MAYO! On the plus side, the bar looks well stocked. I wonder if it takes two hours to get a dram of Scotch?

Top notch in every way! Food was absolutely delicious; service was excellent; calm, relaxing atmosphere for a fantastic meal. For parking, be sure to check gas station across the street for dedicated parking for Abigail's.

Food is excellent but sitting in a tent, in mid October, was gloomy. There were heaters. I hope they find a bigger place.

Was very excited to try Abigail's for the first time on 11/25/23. We had a 7PM reservation for a party of 4. Our table was not ready so we ordered drinks from the bar. The bartender messed up our order but it was eventually corrected. I checked with the hostess multiple times about the availability of our table. She kept blaming a couple for taking too long. Meanwhile, there were other tables available. They remained empty until 7:45. I checked one last time with the hostess and asked if there was any possibility of being seated. She continued to blame the couple for taking too long. No apologies, no "can I buy you a drink at the bar" NOTHING. We were starving so we left. SHAME ON YOU!

I had the Abigails Plate that had stuffed cabbage, grilled polish sausage and pierogis..it was excellent!!. This place seems always packed.. mainly because of good food and nice bar area, but partially also because there are not that many tables.. also there is no parking lot so we had to drive around to fi d parking (which we did like 3 blocks away).. BUT would recommend.

This was a very nice place, I heard about this restaurant at the car lot from the employees, so glad I stopped in before hitting the highway to Connecticut, the food was hot, tasty and the service was amazing, the owner seems really nice.

I absolutely enjoyed this place from a service stand point. The waitress and personnel here are extremely friendly and know the definition of customer satisfaction. The meal I ordered I didn't care for much but this won't be the last time I stop by because they have more on the menu.

It was ok off back it gives the impression it's upscale from the linens. However, it's NOT dress up or casual. You still blend in to enjoy a nice meal. Server's depending on who you get can be distant but pleasant. Food was alright it came out hot, which is great and seemingly quick.Sangria was on point !

First timer I ordered the sausage was amazing comes with a spicy sauce also ordered steak Alfredo. I had one mozzarella stick was good. I enjoyed the mojito pitcher with my friends celebrating October bdays the young lady server natalia was amazing on point. They also have outside seating that looked inviting but we sat inside was nice I do recommend this place but it doesn’t have parking that I know of we parked on the street not to far from the place which I don’t mind because a brisk walk after eating is good.

Disappointed. Have been there before and always pleased with food. Howver, I think they cannot keep up with a menu has become too diverse . Three of the four of us ordered seafood. We all agreed that the dishes featuring shrimp that had been frozen and the lobster may have been also.

Usually have dinner here but decided to come for lunch. There was a very large group of at least 16 people seated plus a few other tables of 2 or 3. Took forever to get our food which finally came out luke warm. Still good, though, but won't be going back at lunchtime. We'll try again for dinner.

The lobster was tough and the service was so slow - they forgot to input one of our meals and spilled two others on us.

This place has no parking, however, there is parking across the street in a gas station according to a sign on the door which didn’t help as I was driving. Only saw the sign after parking a block away on a side street. We entered into a bar area that seemed quite loud for such a small area, but it wasn’t an issue at that moment. We were greeted, seated at a two top, one of several in a row which were pretty close to each other. Being that the tables were so close, those around us appeared to be part of our table. Plus the noisy bar area does interfere while talking at our table. The place is ablaze in orange, different, but was still very nice and enticing. Now to the food….the bread and butter that was served was not very good. The bread was stale and the butter did not taste like real butter; so we skipped it altogether (a 1st). We ordered two entrees, filet mignon with Madeira wine sauce and steak Gorgonzola, both were fantastic. The filet was accompanied by sautéed green beans, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, yellow squash and a copious amount of mashed potatoes with a delicious sauce. The filet was perfectly cooked to order and was actually larger than usual. The skirt steak, as pictured didn’t seem to be that much. When I began to dig in I noticed that the steak was folded over which was actually about three to four times larger than shown in the picture. Again, the steak was cooked perfectly to order. Both dishes were excellent and based on the entrees we had, we would like to go back again to try several of the other enticing dishes on the menu. The parking, noise and the bread basket kept it from being a true five.

Abilgail's was ok. We had a nice dinner. We sprang for the Tomahawk steak. Just don't spend your money on that. Go for something else. Overall, we had a nice time.

Good food worth whole stop for a hearty meal.

I went on a Thursday for their $25 pitcher of sangria. The sangria was so delicious . I had a passion fruit sangria but then i saw them make a coconut sangria and that is my new favorite now. The shrimp appetizer was delicious as well. Had a great first experience. I will try them out again.

My husband and I really love this place , the food and drinks are amazing and I’ll never get tired of it , the staff is very friendly this is so far our very favorite restaurant in town!!!!

Came here with a family of 4. Had 1 pitcher of sangria, some potato pancakes and perogie for an appetizer which were very good. Dinner was a skirt steak, a sample plate, Hungarian stew in-between 2 potato pancakes, and a pork snitzel. All the food was good but we couldn't figure out the menu. Is it polish? Spanish? There is definitely something for everyone here. 3 star for atmosphere because we sat outside with some pretty noisy trucks, cars and motorcycle

Delicious Spanish, Portuguese and Polish food

Delicious!!! Strange combination,Portuguese and polish, my family had some of both. I’ve tasted a bit of everything. It was all great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We all loved it there! Prices were very fair. I Highly recommend. We’ll be back for sure!!!

This place is amazing! The surroundings are not impressive but the actual restaurant — the food, the staff, and the ambiance are excellent! This place is great for most occasions — a date, a birthday celebration, a family meal. I even walked in with my toddler and I’m sure they weren’t happy but they acted very welcoming and accommodating and I am grateful that I was able to have a delicious meal in a nice setting, even with a little kid by my side.

Wifey and I just got home from valentine's dinner. Fast and cordial service. Waitress are on point. Food is fantastic. The sangria is delicious and packs a punch. This is my new go to spot. Simply marvelous.

A great small place with great food and service.

All 4 of us who dined at Abigail's opted for the Polish menu items. The dishes (Abigail's Special and Hungarian Pancake) were some of the best expertly-prepared Polish / Slovakian food items I've ever enjoyed!! The portions are generous, so plan to bring home some. The atmosphere was comfortable, fun, and casual. It has a very local feel, nothing over-the-top fancy or hip. Our server and the service overall were exceptional. The only drawback (and it's minor), I wanted an Aperol Spritz and they didn't have Aperol at the bar. If you're in the area, or even driving by on the GSP or NJT, Abigail's is well worth the visit or side-trip on your journey.

I love coming here to grab a quick drink and bite to eat. The sangria is amazing and the food NEVER disappoints.

Located on W Elizabeth Avenue in Linden and named after the owner’s daughter, Abigail’s is a casual environment with great food whether it be celebrating an occasion or catching up with colleagues which we came today for lunch. Parking could be a challenge but lucked out with spaces across the street at the gas station. Our server, Martha brought us some bread, water and took the beverage orders while providing the menu with the mixture of Hungarian 🇭🇺, Polish 🇵🇱and Portuguese 🇵🇹 cuisine. We ordered Tuna Steak Avocado Salad, Abigail’s Chicken, Vienna Schnitzel (Pan seared veal cutlet seasoned), Schabowy (a tender pork cutlet seasoned and coated with breadcrumbs, Hungarian Pancake (Beef goulash served between potato pancakes and topped with sour cream and trio salad), Abigail’s Plate (Mix pierogies, stuffed cabbage and sauerkraut with Polish kielbasa), Salmon Burger, BBQ chicken sandwich, and Sea Scallops and Shrimps Scampi over Linguini pasta. Some of us even had room for some desserts and shared the chocolate lava cake and carrot cake. Everything we ate was fantastic, tasty and well seasoned. This restaurant has been around for awhile now and caught on by just neighborhood buzz. The difference between Abigail’s and other restaurants is that this is owner-operated. It really shows. You are treated well in every respect which we can continue to recommend it.

The pierogies were delish. Potato pancakes were different and not greasy. I have to say the espresso martinis were out of this world that I had 2. Definitely would go back

Went to Abigail’s for a late lunch (3pm) yesterday and when we got there the place was fairly empty with just a few guests seated at the bar and a few tables occupied in the dining area. We were greeted and the waitress took us to the table by the fire place which was crammed in between two other tables with guests having their meals. I noticed that the table wasn’t even in front of the booth type seat against the wall and my girlfriend wold be sitting off the edge on that seat. I immediately asked the waitress if we can have a different table since there were so many available, her response was: “no because I’m waiting for people”. I was a little confused as to who or what were were so I explained to her that were were people too. She explained that all other tables were reserved and that this was the only option. When I pointed out that in the many times we have been there before, there were usually “reserved” markers on the tables, and this time, not one table was marked reserved. She reluctantly took us to a different table. We were there for about one hour and guests came and went but no more tables were occupied than when we arrived. Who reserved all the tables and when were they showing up? It felt horrible that a place that we visit very frequently has such poor service. The food is always great but the way we were treated is shameful. This isn’t the first time this happened, but it was an experience I wanted to share and hopefully somehow it gets addressed internally.

I went to dinner with a great friend of mine. It started of a bit rocky because they sat us at a small table, they were short staffed, and it was raining but it was so beautiful in the patio. After it stopped raining they sat us at a much larger table and they more than made up for anything that seemed less than great. They even made me custom piri piri. 🙏🏽🖤 The food was amazing! The waiter was so apologetic and kind. I wouldn’t have changed anything. Except maybe the crazy motorcycle show-offs outside. 😆 Absolutely amazing pastry and spiked coffee. We were stuffed, happy, and had tons of laughs. You made two Chicagoans very happy. 🌟✨Also, the Sangria was delightfully fruity. 🥰

Food was very good and with lots of Polish / Eastern European food. We went for dinner on a Saturday and the place was packed. It is also a bar as well. Service was OK for such a busy place. Atmosphere is ok as well, but beware that this place is very very loud. Impossible to carry on a normal conversation with all the yelling going on. Lots of birthdays the night we went which meant lights turned off frequently to sing and blow out candles and all that stuff. Got annoying after the 3rd or 4th celebration at different tables. I would definitely go back but during a less busy time as the food was very good with other entrees I'd like to try.

Let me say, this place is definitely a gem — the food, service, and ambiance was fantastic! Our server was so sweet and attentive. It felt grande but also so lowkey. It’s a cute spot to go as family, date, or just by yourself. Everything was cooked to perfection. I’d certainly come again.

Used to be such an excellent place but quality and portion size went downhill under new ownership. Food is still decent but a shadow of it's former self.

This place is unfortunately getting worse with every visit. My husband and I frequently either dine in, celebrate events or order to go, we used to love it but last night the experience was so poor I think we will no longer be giving them our money. For starters, the person who answered the phone “Val” made it feel like I was bothering her by calling in my order. Made me feel stupid for double checking she got something in the order right. Very condescending tone but whatever I chalked it up to it being a bad day, we all have them. But the food which we usually order the same thing - Portuguese steak & steak and shrimp - was horrible. The steak was so hard and difficult to cut into and chew and it wasn’t over cooked it was just incredibly poor quality meat. Both steaks were equally terrible. Rice was flavorless and dry the only thing that saved it was the sauce from the meals (rice also doesn’t come included for sides anymore so to pay for tasteless rice is insulting). The taste of my meal was very off, it was not fresh and I had to stop eating in fear that something was spoiled. Although this place isn’t the most expensive I still expect quality for the price point it’s at. I know things are difficult for the restaurant industry and everyone in general but something’s gotta give. There’s definitely better places around.

Glad I found this hidden gem! Sangria special on a Thursday night, full bar, delicious food , great service !! I had a house salad with salmon and the shrimp tostones appetizer. Delicious 👌🏾 they also have an outdoor patio area with heaters. I’ll be back !!

Went there for lunch very disappointing. Only good thing was the abigail salad with the citrus dressing. Potatoe pancake were horrible so was the potato and cheese pieroges. Cornbeef Ruben wasnt they way i ordered. I think the kids meal was the best thing grill chicken and mashed.

Worst place I've been for lunch. First of all, our server took 15 mins just to get out drinks. I took a glance on where he might have been and saw him watching tv. Second, took a whole hour just to get our food, we all had lunch special sandwiches, people who got there before us got their food first. Ended up taking it to go since we had to go back to work. Disappointed, def wont recommend it to the company i work for.

Abigails is the best restaurant in Linden. The best thing about the restaurant is the ambiance and the management. During the summer their steak on a stone is a must. I never had a bad experience here and the staff is very sociable and friendly. If you ever visit Linden you have to try Abigails. The owner is also a super friendly guy and knows how to run a business. Abigails keep up the great work!

Polish and Portuguese....who thought they would work together....but it does! Had the Borscht and Abigail's Plate. Always yummy

Oh Yes I am back! This was my first trip to Abigail’s in about 2 years if not more, but let me tell you something, nothing has changed. The food is still phenomenal! I met two old coworkers for lunch, we were all equally satisfied with our food & drinks. The only complaint was our rice was cold, the waiter offered to heat it up, however we declined because we were getting ready to leave. My food was even better as leftovers. My favorite thing about this place is their Sangria, I had the Pomegranate Sangria & my friends had the Mango Sangria. If you are looking for good Sangria, this is the spot, they have a variety of flavors, not just Red or White. As for the price, this restaurant is moderately priced in my opinion and the portions are perfect. I urge you to give Abigail’s a try, I don’t think you will regret it.

How about?! We have passed this tucked away gem on the corner of Stiles & Elizbeth avenue for YEARS- and just made it inside….. talk about spectacular! There just happened to be a drink special ( fab choices of sangria ) and tons of dinner specials. The soup, dinner and service were amazing. But - we gotta talk about the FLAN…. Do NOT miss the Kaluha Flan!! This spot is perfect for date night, I don’t want to cook night - or any other reason to dine out! Go TODAY & thank me later
