An absolute MUST if you are in Charleston !! The food is beyond amazing and truly an authentic "Lowcountry" food experience !! Very casual and comfortable for an easy dining experience on the Isle of Palms. The drive across the IOP Connector just adds to the scenery !! Service and Management are so welcoming and attentive ... Travis is wonderful for a relaxed dining experience ! I'm a "local" and we all know when it's real .... and this is it !!

Fun place just off the water in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. Had the pecan haddock with collard greens, pimento cheese grits and bacon jam. With a side of Mac and cheese. It was so yummy! Key lime pie was really good. Wanted to try much more on the menu. Will be back. Mitchell our waiter was great.

We went on a holiday and of course they were very busy. We were told an hour wait, but ended up being 20 minutes. Very tolerable time! And the wait was worth it! Bloody Mary with Charleston mix started things off. Farmers omelet ( asked for swiss), English muffin and grits w/ gouda! Perfect! I'm looking forward to the next time....maybe tomorrow

The Creole Seafood was One of the best Seafood dishes (if not The Best) I have ever had. Also, came here during a very busy time, on a Labor Day weekend, and the service was still very quick and so friendly. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have loved this place for years!! Today we went after the beach ( first time going for dinner we usually go for breakfast) and I had the roasted scallops with grits… OH MAN… the most amazeballs grits I have ever had in my 40 year old life. No it was not my first time having grits. These grits were creamy and cheesy and from heaven. I could not recommend them more. The scallops were outstanding as well, I wish I could cook like this at home. If you ever see it on the menu, order a St. Ruby and thank me later!

Another great breakfast at acme lowcountry kitchen had our daughter, son-in-law and three grandkids there. Everybody just loved their pancakes, french toast, shrimp and grits eggs and bacon. Fantastic breakfast as usual. I love going to this place. We're in Isle Palms and it's always our favorite and a go-to for breakfast and brunch. I rate this as one of my top breakfast houses I've ever eaten at with a selection of dishes on their menu from Bray's short ribs with grits to a variety of other great dishes. Our server, Chloe Holsingor shy was fantastic taking care of our grandkids every need. She was great and definitely going to sit in her area. Next time we're there we'll be back Chloe. Thank you!

Love IOP Beach! We discovered this low country cooking restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. If you decided to go, definitely make a reservation.

We ate an early dinner here, and made reservations, so we were seated immediately, and within minutes had drinks and ordered an appetizer. We had the she-crab soup for the appetizer and it was delicious. For the main course, my wife ordered the Isle of Palms (with the blackened shrimp), and I ordered the Broiled Seafood. We were unfortunately not satisfied with our main courses. We had come from all day tours in Charleston, so perhaps that affected our appetite. The cost of the dinner was pretty expensive and our time in Charleston is limited, so I am not sure we would come back.

Amazing every time! Travis was great. We’ve been here multiple times for different meals and have never been disappointed. We’ll definitely be back!

Food is amazing. Suggest the young hostesses be given training on "first impression" management. Hostesses did not smile or seem friendly, they seemed bothered to help us when we arrived. Other than that the experience was amazing.

So enjoyed the place, the service, the food, you can bring your dog, sit outside. Everything we had, and it was a variety of their menu, was wonderful. Thr shrimp and grits, the short rib and grits, the crabcske, one of my top 5 crabcakes, and the breakfast platter. All delicious. The server was terrific. Can not wait to try more. Was excited to try this place bc I heard the shrimp and grits were good. We tried the Whistlestop and Charleston shrimp and grits..pretty disappointing. There were some friendly staff that came around and asked us how we were doing but I think our waitress was too busy or something bc she got our daughter’s order wrong. Probably would not go back.

This is our 3rd year visiting for The Hazelnut Hang at The Jammer. We will eat here BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER. Love it when a restaurant takes pride in what they do!!

Stumbled across this place & absolutely LOVE it. The food is amazing and the staff is great! Our Server David was super helpful! The manager even came by & spoke with us! The Biscuits & Gravy are to die for, homemade biscuits & flavorful gravy & fresh tomatoes …almost better than my family recipe! The omelets are HUGE & well worth it! Will be returning for sure!

I was disappointed when they didn't offer a classic low country shrimp boil, but everything we got was fabulous, from the acme salad to the collards. Would definitely go back.

Acme will go down as a staple for my trip from Maine to South Carolina. Food is delicious, great service at every turn, and the people make the experience top notch. We dined at Acme a few times and Mytch, Beth, Rachel and Subrina took amazing care of us on our numerous visits. We will 100% be returning to South Carolina and we will 100% be visiting Acme multiple times during our next visit.

Came here for vacation breakfast after seeing good online reviews. Really enjoyed it. Shared the special which was like French Toast with Peaches and it tasted fresh and delicious...not too sweet. Plenty for 2 girls to share. Excellent service from our waitress Chloe (shout out to the Roanoke Radford area) nice to meet you, girl. Thanks for a wonderful meal! Everything about ACME screams southern hospitality with down-home good food. There were 7 people in my group, we all ordered different dishes, we all raved about our dinner. Pricey and worth it. You have to get the Key Lime Pie for dessert!

Ordered carry out, unfortunately they forgot one of the entrees and we didn't realize till we got home. When I went back they quickly made our meal and without me asking they took care of us for the inconvenience. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!

Location by the beach is great. Service is pleasant. Now food. Price is priceyyyy. However, the portions will leave you hungry. I got the crab cake sandwich and as a Marylander I beg you do not do it. I’ve eaten huge $15 crab cake sandwiches that taste significantly better. Here, the crab cake cost $26 and tasted like nothing. All I could taste was celery. Plus, the crab cake was the size of a mini apple and NOT thick…SKINNY! Please save ur money do not get the crab cake. The crab cake sandwich buns tasted like cheap discount store bought hamburger buns. The pecan encrusted chicken what’s the point. The pecans do not add to the dish. The chicken is not seasoned. Pls season chicken.

Delicious food! This restaurant came highly recommended on the island and they did not disappoint. Be prepared for a 45 minute to an hour wait when busy. Our server, Travis, was great and made our very first visit a special one. Even the manager stopped by our table to ensure things were going well. We enjoyed ourselves so much we came back for brunch! Highly recommend!

We’ve been vacationing IOP for 3 years and acme is a go to restaurant for us. The food continues to get better every trip. Already looking forward to our next meal!

Came to vacation here from Ohio. Hotel was walking distance to this place and let me tell you, the food was just amazing. We were told it was going to be a hour and a half wait and then we got right in at the bar not even 5 minutes later and the bartender was great. The drinks and the food was out of this world. Crab cakes and shrimp and their Mac and cheese is to die for. And the cornbread 😮‍💨 would recommend anyone coming to this fine establishment!

Food was very delicious!! However, didn’t get much for the price of it. They were accommodating to our party size and did a great job at helping us throughout the meal. Like I said though, it was a bit pricy for the amount received.

Good food, good service. Menu is heavy on grits and shrimp, I liked it. There are plenty of other choices. Looked popular with locals and tourists.

Our server, Joel, was awesome & very knowledgeable about the menu. His pleasant demeanor made our visit fun & comfortable. He wasn't wrong when he told us that there were no bad menu choices. Everything we had was delicious. We bookmarked this place for when we make it back down to Charleston in the future. Just another great reason to visit Chuck Town.

Food and service were fantastic

Came here on a last minute "winging it" trip 3 weeks after having jaw surgery. Was so happy there were multiple options on the menu that suited a no-chew diet. Crab dip was superb, I could've eaten a pound of the pimento cheese grits, and the shrimp was tender enough for me to cut into tiny pieces to swallow. Kiddo loved the alfredo...super cheesy! Key lime and peanut butter pie to go! We'll be back...maybe tomorrow! 🤷‍♀️

My mom and I ate here on a quick little trip to the coast and it was so incredibly good. They source ingredients locally which I really appreciate. I am from a “foodie” town and can admittedly be a little bit hard to impress, so I had to get on here and review these folks. Well done! Thank you! 🙌

We were visiting the Charleston/Isle of Palms area for the first time and decided to pop into Acme our last night in town because it was really close to our condo! We had eaten our way around Charleston at some really incredible places—-Acme took the prize for the most incredible food we had the entire trip HANDS DOWN. I had the pecan crusted chicken and short ribs with truffle Mac and brussel sprouts. So incredibly delicious. The cornbread appetizer was so good too! But even more than great food—was the service! Our waiter, PJ was hands down the best waiter we have ever had. He was so kind, so patient with our girls, and was just really good at his job. Definitely a gem! Go to Acme! You won’t regret it!

This is a no frills low country seafood restaurant that is all about the food. They do not disappoint!! The IOP Shrimp and grits was excellent and the Creole Seafood meal was awesome too. The service is very good and everyone was super friendly. Will be back soon!!

Tip - go early and enjoy a drink or two before the meal. Their drinks are great even if a little pricey. We enjoyed our meals: Charleston shrimp and grits, creole seafood and blackened salmon. All were cooked very well and had great flavor. If you are in the Isle of Palms area, a definite great spot.

Was sat immediately for a party of 5. Food was out in 15 minutes after we placed our order. Food was incredible and our waitress was attentive. Great place to go while on vacation!

Best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Definitely suggest the Charleston shrimp and grits. Added the crab cake and started with the fried green tomatoes. Make sure to follow their parking directions to avoid towing of your vehicle.

This place is amazing! I cannot believe I’ve been in the area visiting and I found Acme Lowcountry kitchen! Their brunch/breakfast menu is amazing. The sweet bartender who assisted me in the bar area was awesome and highly suggested the short ribs. There were a few different options for specials, but I knew their short ribs were going to be fire! as someone who is from Michigan and doesn’t eat grits too often, the grits eggs, and short ribs were truly phenomenal. It’s been about a month since I’ve been in South Carolina and I’m still craving this dish as well as telling everyone here about it. I cannot wait to be back to have this again. Do NOT take this off the menu.

Absolutely delicious! We came late on the 4th, were told it would be 25 minutes, were seated in less than 15. I had the firecracker shrimp and the shrimp and grits that comes with fried green tomatoes. My wife had the shrimp crab cake and scallops. We shared key lime pie. Food and service were both excellent!

We ate here twice on our trip, once for brunch and once for dinner. Both times the food and service were excellent. Everything tastes very fresh and the portions are very generous. At dinner, Kyrsten was our waitress. She is the best waitress I have ever been served by anywhere. Although she had several tables, she was extremely attentive and met our needs before we knew we needed them.

Food was insanely delicious but equally expensive. Was just handy in Isle of Palms otw out so we stopped. Spent $80 for brunch for a kids meal, sodas, and 1 adult meal we split. Delicious but pricey.

Popular spot in Isle of Palm Beach area, very busy. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff. I had the Isle of Palm shrimp and sausage grits dish that was very good and a yummy biscuit.

After eating at a number of our favorites in Charleston, we decided to give Acme a try. We were so blown away by the food and service that we immediately rebooked for the following night, because there were so many great things on the menu. We had an even better meal the 2nd Night! The seafood is so fresh and prepared in such unique ways. And our servers, twin brothers Garrett and Travis were entertaining and excellent ! We can’t wait to eat here again on our vacation next summer !!

Came for my birthday dinner, met Byron! He was so professional and just gave the best service. Declan was the best ever as well. I had a great time and I must say it was a pleasure and I recommend that everyone makes there way there for great food and great service.

My entire experience from start to finish was fantastic. It was my first time visiting, but I had heard great things beforehand, and it exceeded all my expectations. Byron and the rest of the team were outstanding and very knowledgeable. I took my girlfriend out for her birthday, and she enjoyed every moment of it. We will definitely be back and recommend it to family and friends.

You absolutely should try this place if in town! My cousin lives here and was able to get our group a last minute reservation and I’m so glad he steered us this way! The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I got the Brussels and Gouda grit fries for some of us to split and then the surf n turf with regular grits and all were so yummy!

Walked in told hostess party of one. I was told..."your best bet is the bar" even tho they were seating 2. 2 hostess were dressed so unfit for tourist. Can't believe a manager wouldn't send that home. Tacky!!!!

The food here was AMAZING and I don’t give praises easily. My ENTIRE party of 13 loved their dishes. And they are very honest people. Unfortunately, I have no pictures because we immediately inhaled our food because it was that good. The grits… oh man…DIVINE! I wanted to thank the Chefs personally. I’ve had great grits but these were absolutely delicious. Myself and someone else ordered the Short rib w/eggs and grits and was a tad skeptical but I’m so glad our nice waiter recommended it as his fav. DELICIOUS! Someone else got the Biscuits and Gravy, he loved it and the flavors were dynamite. We are from the south so we know good down home cooking and fresh flavors and this was it!! Salmon salad and salad with shrimp were said to be very good. Reuben sandwich was too. Also, I took home a to-go order of a Fish & Shrimp platter. I don’t love shrimp but these were fried so nicely and succulent! You just don’t find gems like this often. I truly wish I could Uber Eats this place to my home because it was that darn good and they can have all my money. Alas, I’ll just have to settle for the memories of great food and service!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Acme on the Isle of Palms, a charming Lowcountry restaurant that has been a staple in the area for years. We made a brunch reservation for 2 PM, which was a perfect time since they stop serving brunch around 3 PM. The restaurant even reached out to us to see if we could come a bit earlier, which we appreciated and were happy to accommodate. We were seated in their exterior screened dining area. Initially, we were concerned it might be too warm, especially with the temperature at 92°, but they have about 25 large fans and ceiling fans that keep the space well-ventilated and comfortable. For our meal, my wife enjoyed the shrimp and grits with sausage, and she particularly loved the shrimp! I opted for the original breakfast, which included scrambled eggs, house fries (which were excellent breakfast potatoes), and sausage patties. The sausage was average and didn't stand out, but the French toast I ordered as a side was absolutely phenomenal. If I were to return, I would definitely stick with the French toast. My dad had the shrimp and grits with lobster and was thoroughly impressed. Our waiter was attentive and kept our water glasses full, ensuring we stayed hydrated throughout our meal. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we will certainly be returning. Acme deserves a well-deserved five stars for its excellent service and delicious food. —Opportunities for Restaurant Improvement— - Reconsider the quality of the sausage provided. - Invest in glass water pitchers instead of plastic ones to enhance the dining experience. - Add walnut wood to cover the spray insulation on the ceiling of the outdoor space for a more polished and modern look.

Love this place they had many options for specialty drinks and food. We couldn't make up our minds! My bf decided to have the French toast with truffle Parmigiano cheese grits and bacon. I had the pecan crushed fried chicken with grits, fried eggs, and collard greens with a bacon jam. I loved my bf's grits, and my entire plate was to die for! Best collards I've had in a while, and that bacon jam! Can't wait to visit again.

Great meal, always consistent - great gluten free gf options. In 20 years of coming to IOP, Acme always delivers! Got take out and aside from having to call in a few times to get through - meal was easy to pick up and delicious. Take out staff even helped carry out the extra bag while the place was packed. Great value for money.

I got my rsvp time mixed up on Father’s Day( of all days🤦🏾‍♀️) The manager was so nice and opened the back bar for me…My food came out fast and it was delicious, and the service was so awesome!! The Light House was worth every penny.

Food hit all expectations after being referred here by many. Everyone on staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, even though we walked in later in the evening. Succotash was quite a highlight, but from the scallops to collard greens and everything in between was very well prepared. Thanks ACME!

Our favorite restaurant on IOP hands down. They have the best shrimp and grits ever. My wife gets the scallops/ succotash every time and loves it. The calamari is also great. We wouldn't go to IOP without coming to Acme. Love it!
