Delicious food , great service , very nice place

The food and service here is always fantastic! The best sushi restaurant in Ashburn!

Delicious sushi and very reasonably priced. Quick service the past two times we got take-out. We’ve tried a bunch of different sushi restaurants in the area, this is quickly becoming a favorite.

Food was amazing, tried for the first time! Service was quick too :)

The tempura was delicious and the pork cutlet rice was a generous portion.

This is always our go to for sushi. We’ve had many others in the area but we always compare them to Akira and they hands down win. Their temp on the fish in sushi is perfect. Not too cold. Great staff too!

We were there for my daughter"s birthday. Great wellcome,very very kind,helpful,sweet staff,wonderful tastes.They brought out ice cream - cakeas a surprise for my daughter's birthday.Thank you so much Akira Sushi Bistro.

Surprisingly good, I enjoyed my meal much more than I expected too. The fish and Jalapeños used were very fresh and the sushi was very flavorful overall.

The food is fantastic! Loved the don katsu and tempura.

Did pickup here and absolutely loved it. The special rolls we got were awesome! Look forward to dining in sometime as the place looked really nice and the staff there were friendly. Highly recommend!

Our favorite sushi place! We say it every time we finish eating here. When we are invited somewhere else for sushi, my husband and I always miss Akira and compare it all to Akira. Their sushi is fresh, flavorful and so so pretty. There are so many different rolls to choose from, which I just love. It is always delicious with such friendly service. They are so fast, too! Their special rolls are my favorite, but the hamachi nigiri is up there as a favorite. I love the Morgan Roll and Paradise Roll, but when we dine in, I get to pick off the special board. I recently got the Red Carpet Roll and the Sunny Roll, and they became my new favorites. Tonight they presented our table with a special salmon plate. My goodness we were stunned. It tasted as pretty as it looked!!! Incredible! The dinning area is comfortable and nice. We eat here quite a bit, and I can’t recall ever being disappointed. We are in love each time we finish, happy and full. We actually do take out more often, but try to dine in when we can. We really try to take family here when they visit. Now visitors request to go here!

Akira this is the only Japanese restaurant that has authentic Japanese food in the entire Loudon County I have went everywhere else and they don’t taste Japanese I have been eating Japanese food since I was young. My parents were brought up in Japan I have been to Japan and their Japanese food is authentic and this restaurant is authentic. Their staff is extremely nice. Please check out the restaurant. I confirmed this is the best Japanese restaurant in the county.🎌🇯🇵❤️ akira

Came here on a whim after work, after seeing the high ratings. It did not disappoint. Pricing and flavors were on point, service was excellent and friendly. Can't argue with any of that! I look forward to my next visit. Update, 5 years later, all the above still holds true!

I decided to try this place today and it was amazing ! I ordered miso soup, edamame and 3 rolls of sushi (California, Alligator and Tutu) they all were so tasty and delicious. I’ll come back ! Service was great !

The food overall was delicious, especially the ashburn! It was a very satisfying meal with a large portion👍🏼 It was a pleasant meal due to the clean store and friendly staff.

My family and I have been coming here for years and the service and food have always been phenomenal! The servers even took it upon themselves to remember our faces and orders. The fish is always fresh and the staff always make us feel at home.

I have been in many Mexican restaurants all over the US and the food in this place takes the cake by far. First for me that is a dining restaurant and the tacos al pastor are amazing. Definitely worth every penny!!

Akira has been our go-to sushi spot for the past ten years. The staff feels like family. Their sushi is delicious and high quality. I have tried other local sushi restaurants but none of them come close to Akira. If you haven’t been, put it on your list of next restaurant to try! Akira is an LoCo staple restaurant.

My husband and I eat dinner here regularly, and it has the best sashimi and sushi. We have been to more expensive restaurants in Ashburn and Falls Church, and we prefer the taste, quality, and service at Akira. We share edamame, sashimi regular, and a couple of rolls. I love the Alaskan roll and the Akira Moonlight. My husband has tried several of their rolls, and they're all delicious. The staff always offer a warm welcome when we arrive, and they are extremely attentive and caring.

This wonderful restaurant is our absolute favorite place for sushi! The food is delicious and the service is terrific. They make us feel like family. At Akira, any special occasion is made even more so! ❤️

Just another average sushi place. Nothing special except gigantic pieces of sashimi which was honestly too much. It over powered the dish. I guess I’ll just have to keep looking for a good sushi place in Loudoun or just drive to McLean every time I want sushi.

Ms Sol needs to serve better. It seems like we were not welcome there. Not sure if I’ll come back for a long time as I’ve been going there for 6 years now. Food is good but very bad taste and experience today with the service from Ms Sol.

Service and food are in general very good. They have kids bento box which is awesome- the roles is definitely kids friendly. The soft shell crab appetizer was not as ideal, half of it was vegetable tempura.

I wanted to give the food a higher rating, but I love uni and ordered 2 pieces and it tasted horrible. The color was ok, but it had a nasty aftertaste.

Excellent Japanese Bistro! Tried the special firecracker roll that was perfect. Yaki Udon Noodles complemented with ginger salad and miso soup. Service was excellent and the store was very clean. Will return!

Very good. Small details like the amount of vinegar in the sushi rice and the flavor of the miso soup were really terrific. The eel dragon roll was a particularly great item.

They charged for teryiaki with rice but came with no rice!

Customer for years but they don’t need us. Declining service. I used to overlook some times said in front of me for my family but not now. Lost customer.

Fish was fresh, rolls were tight and tempura was crispy and hot. Service was fast and so friendly. We had a party of 7 and they took great care of us.

Delicious but they really need offer a roll or two made without rice, as most sushi places do for those who eat low carb. Eel dragon roll is my husband's favorite.

When spending anything over $25-35 / person I don’t expect to be rushed … the server we had tried to take plates multiple times before we were finished .. I felt like she was in some hurry to get us out even though the restaurant was mostly empty and it was only 830…. Food was 5/5 but the service really ruined the experience….

Food is always great, friendly staff. We are regulars here. They even put ice on the side for kids to use for hot soups.

I had some of the best service I have ever had here, everyone was so friendly and attentive. The servers and the sushi chef were so accommodating to my 2 yr old. The sushi was fresh, the handrolls were phenomenal, even their soy sauce tasted superior.

We ordered 4 rolls from Door dash. Honestly this was next level sushi. The best we have had locally.

Service was a little slow as take out pickups seemed to take precedence but we weren't in a hurry and the food was delicious.

I've eaten here over 10 times and it hovers between 3-5 stars. I wish they had some unique sushi fare besides the usual tuna, salmon, crab, shrimp and eel. My kids love the sushi served on a boat.

My favorite Japanese restaurant in VA! It has a very charming and intimate setting. This is my go to place as it never disappoints for both their lunch and dinner services.

Each time, shopping at home goods, we often have lunch here. Their lunch box price is reasonable. And basically delicious

Was very disappointed. The portions were not what I get at other sushi restaurants. The rolls were half the size. The prices were higher then anyplace we have eaten before. Not only were the shrimp super small they were fried and left an awful after taste. Maybe they were having an off day, but we will not be returning. The waitress was wonderful and that is why I gave 2 stars.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Loudoun County. The sushi is always fresh and the dinner plates are just as yummy. Their kid's bento box is super generous with a variety of items as well.

I ordered from Akira tonight (6/26/22) on Door Dash. They called and said they didn't have the Toro I had ordered, and asked if I wanted to substitute it. I swapped it out with some Maguro, and it wasn't a big deal. I picked up my order, and not only did they add my substitution, but they gave me two Mochi desserts and a side of Edamame (two of my favorite things that I just didn't order this time!!!) Needless to say, this service was impeccable! The sushi is consistently great here too, and the service is stellar! Check this place out to have a great sushi experience in VA!

Good food decent prices, the chef needs to be mindful of the textures in the rolls. I'm talking about you California roll. Lol got big chunks of fake crab+avocado but adding a few slivers of cucumber would make the roll better. As is the roll was like eating a very delicious wet sock. Fish was fresh and portions are good. I'd still go visit again. 9/10. Salmon skin handroll was amazing, salmon skin roll was good, dragon roll suffered the same issues as the California roll but still the flavors are all there.

Akira has by far the best sushi anywhere I've been to. Been going there for a long time and honestly think the quality (always fresh) is better than Nakazawa without the price tag. Def a must visit

I love the udon which is really good and hot. Sushi and sashimi are good too but select wisely.

Might be one of the best sushis I've had. Ingredients are fresh, the rolls are tightly packed and full of flavor. We did a few of Akira special rolls (Paradise, Alligator and Red Wing) and each one was phenomenal.

This has to be the best sushi in a 50mile radius. Staff is nice and always accommodating. I would walk barefoot in an once storm for their Spartan Roll.
