I haven't ordered from here in a while, but I must say that standards on all fronts have taken a steep dive. After standing inside for 20 min after my pickup time, I noticed how dirty the interior of this place is. I got my food home and my COLD margarita pizza was in no way what it should be. No ball mozzarella, no basil, just pizza sauce and slices of tomato on 4 totally separate thick crust squares. Not even close to what this 100% italian knows as a margarita pizza. And my mother's gyro, just meat, and huge chunks of tomato and onion. Front of house looked frazzled and rushed, and back of house looked lackadaisical and slow. Sad to see a staple of Ambridge go so far downhill.

Didn't have what we ordered but charged us for the for when we canceled the order. We will never order from there again. I will make sure to never recommend this place to anyone. Ambridge Italian Villa is the worst

Superb food! A tiny bit more expensive than your normal pizzeria, and that's because this is a restaurant. Look at the selection of Italian, Greek and whatever you call USA standard fare- and they serve an amazing breakfast! YES, BREAKFAST! Your local mom and pop pizzeria doesn't do that. AIV has actual recipes and I'm pretty sure everything is made in house. They do have a dining room. It's very...... we'll call it intimate but I really mean small and under-used. Very small and one of the tables typically has paperwork on it. It's a little if-y about bringing a date here. You and you mom and dad wouod be fine. They are SO nice here. I just love the people that own and operate this place. Very sweet, nice people.

The salads here are very GOOD BUT the meatball sandwich is another story. I ordered it because it was a special for the day. The worst meatball sub I ever had. The hoagie roll it was on was almost inedible. Mealy and dry with no flavor, tasted old. The sauce was mediocre and the meatball was low quality and tasted ...tasteless. They need a higher quality frozen meatball. Certainly wasn't homemade! Threw it away.It should not have been one of the specials.

They prepare the order of the suppliers very late. they told me 5 minutes, but I waited more than 20 minutes. Those who came after me left before me, that's too bad. I know if I cancel this order, another driver will come, I just want you not to cheat us by saying wait 5 minutes.

Service is slow and poor, but the food is decent. Decent diner food. Definitely opt for the Greek dishes as opposed to Italian. The deserts are very good. If this were in a cosmopolitan city I would give it a 2, but since the pickings are so slim in Ambridge, I am giving it a 3 just for existing. And also the rice pudding and pies are pretty good.

Used to be great, had huge gyros but the original owner passed, new owners took over, exploited loyal patrons, reduced portions, reduced quality, increased prices. I called about not enough meat being on my gyro and they said they weigh out the meat on a scale, so I weighed the meat on my kitchen scale and it wasn't half as much as they claimed they put on it so I drove back and returned the gyro for a refund. They've also since reduced the size of their grape leaves by 50% without notice. I know its hard to turn profits these days, i hope the food industry can survive all this inflationism we are currently experiencing.

2nd time getting pizza 1st time burnt and worse than paper thin on an extra cheese. They told me they will credit me a larg extra cheese.. Finally did tat and got nothing but RAW DOUGH AND WHEN I CALLED THEY FELT THE NEED TO DEFEND RAW DOUGH!!!¡ I HAVE PICTURES. SHAME ON YOU.

We ate at their food truck and it was amazing. So we decided to try their restaurant and the food was just as amazing. The restaurant does get very busy with carryout orders. But it's worth the wait. I got the large calzone and my wife got the gyro. Both were great and we both took home leftovers for lunch.

Placed takeout order and had it within 5 minutes of arriving. Hands down the BEST gyro we've had since moving to Monaca. We've been to 3 or 4 recommended places and they missed the mark by far. We also got Alfredo with broccoli and mushrooms which was delicious as well. Dessert was the Swiss roll and a slice of colossal cheesecake, both of which were delicious. Will definitely be back!

Was told delivery would be an hour we waited two hours for two gyros and grape leaves. The grape leaves are so small! A great amount of gyro meat but barely any lettuce tomato or onion on them.

Never consistent here. Food is never ready when I do a pickup order. I’m not talking a few minutes…. 20 minutes plus. Food is average but can be better. Atmosphere inside is very cramped and not the best to dine in.

Just a simple dinner, we have never been to this place but had heard good things. We both ordered hot sausage sandwiches. the hot sausage was a flat patty rather than traditional tubulars shaped, which would have been okay if it had some flavor. To top that, it had a cartilage, or something, that was impossible to bite through. Both sandwiches were the same. It was disgusting. We left with two sandwiches in the trash can. Absolutely will not return.

Hot Italian Sub is the best! Went there for lunch today, got the mushroom burger, it was huge and delicious. Best burger I've had any where near here. Friends got the Gyro salad and loved them.

The delivery driver was decent. The food was sloppy like it was thrown together, but it did taste good. They always forget to put bacon on my burger, but it's not extra for it so I don't really care. Food is good, but when dining, it's not much room, your arm or leg is going to end up touching someone else's, it's too small and gets busy very quickly. The food is never done by the time they say it's going to be done, so I suggest that if you are picking up, leave 10-20 minutes after the pick up time they give you.

A small establishment that is usually busy, best to call in ahead. Things seem "rushed" when picking up To-go orders due to the amount of customers which is understandable. The building has moderate amount of seating, but is quite cramped due to a small (old fashioned) building (which is pretty usual for ambridge dine in resturants) Although, it does have some of the largest selections of food available locally!

Always seems to be really hot in here but the food and service is amazing!!

I got Italian hoagie. It was roast beef turkey salami and pepperoni. With Swiss cheese. Never really had an Italian hoagie that way. But wasn't horrible. The bread was kind of dry for the bun tho. Also tried the baklava. It was delicious. Would like to go back and try some other dishes. Coming into the location you could smell a variety of things the were cooking. And it smelled great from 50 ft away.

Had the Chopped Bermuda Steak (12.00) which came with salad,roll, mashed (real) potatoes, and corn. There are other veggie and potato options as well. The steak was excellent. Tender and smothered in delicious brown gravy. Topped with a generous amount of mushrooms. The garden salad was crisp and fresh. The cheesecake. (6.95) was outstanding. The serving was huge! We chose to save a few bucks by doing our own toppings (1.50) though. The service was excellent as well. Overall an excellent first experience at this local establishment.

This was our first time there. They are a very busy and popular little restaurant so there was a bit of a wait for service and food BUT it was totally worth it!! My burger had fried onions, mushrooms, ham, bacon and American cheese! It was phenomenal!! The fries were hot and crispy and the waitress was very attentive! Will definitely return!!

Always good food. If you eat in they get to you fast and if you order for pick up its always ready. My uncle used to come here. I love coming here.

This place gets worse everytime (used to be so good). Will never bother again. From waiting a good hour for ordered food, waitress couldn't get it right (we all have bad days but this was not the problem). Had to ask for my salad after an hour and when food came bread was undercooked and bun was falling apart. It looked as though it had been tossed on the ground - not to mention wrong cheese on burger. My spaghetti was ok. At best.

This is a small place with a LOT of choices. We typically use them for catering, and decided to stop in for lunch. They have pizza and Capone's, sandwiches, soup, gyros, wings....many options. The gyros, Reuben, and calzones are really good. The table next to us said the soup and pizza is good as well. Reasonable prices and good service as well.

We ordered breakfast the waitress never came back and we waited “32 Minutes” then we went to the counter and was told they didn’t know we were in a hurry! Was told takeout orders came first! I paid for our drink and left. There were TWO (2) other people in there!! Oh, there were 3 people in the kitchen!!

OMG. This place went down the toilet. Lasagna had no sauce or flavor. Raw onions in the carbonara with only 5 bits of bacon. Roast beef hoagie had thin scraps of meat. And 1.5 hr wait. Never again.

Got chicken tenders and a gryro. The gryro sauce was spoiled and the chicken thenders were so burnt you could not eat them. Absolutely would never go back an the meat was dry an tasted old. Sad part is I used to love this place

Ordered lunch for delivery. Ended up being dinner as it took over 2 hours from the time the order was placed. Its a shame that I heard great things from some people, but food was dry and very little taste. The pasta was over cooked with watery sauce. We spent about $75 on food and no one was happy. Maybe dine in is better, but I wont be going for a long time. I tried to call and talk to someone but no one would pick up the phone. Very disappointed.

This food can be hit or miss. Sometimes I order and it is amazing, other times down right sickening. I am not sure what they are doing in the kitchen but consistancy is king and they are not always reaching knight territory.

Waited over two and a half hours for a simple cheese and pepperoni pizza. One that could be compared to a two day old chuck e cheese pizza that was made from old ingredients found in the back of the fridge. ZERO STARS....

Their food is good and priced reasonably. The staff could be friendlier and the food always takes longer than they quote. All in all a good place for food. Their menu is pretty big so there is something for everyone. Update: last time I ordered food they told me 35 minutes for a pick up order...I got there after 40 minutes and waited another 20 minutes for my order. My French toast was raw and not edible. This place has gone downhill since the last time I've gotten food here.

I always enjoy getting their gyros and gyro salads. I've been coming here for years with my family and we always get a good meal. We came to dine in during dinner time and the only negative was the service was slow because our waitress was doing a lot by herself for the other diners and pickup orders. Its understandable in this day and age and I will say she was very nice and apologetic; we didn't mind.

I worked there for about two weeks. I walked out when the owner went absolutely ape$hit on me for hanging a pot up in the wrong place. There were customers in the dining area, so it caused a scene. The guy would always talk about how "nobody wants to work anymore". Everyone else was super nice, and they bust their a$$es. It was like they walked on eggshells when he was around, and I think they legit had PTSD.

Just spent almost $50 on food , left a $10 tip and Still managed to to mess up 2 of our orders after the lady read the order back to me ovlver the phone! Ok

When in doubt…ambridge italian villa! I absolutely love the Gyro Platters and Salads from here. Their Alfredo is top notch as well.

The lettuce in the salad was cut with stone age utensils in chunks that even a horse will have hard time chewing...servings not big enough according to the price..flavor of food was AVERAGE

Ive enjoyed my meals from here every time I order. They deliver and at times can be slow but reasonable. They offer online ordering and call in orders. I've only had pasta dishes so I cannot speak to their other dishes but I'm always excited to order. The pasta mill size is generous and always plenty of sauce with the noodles cooked well not over or under cooked.

I’m going to round up this review to 5 stars from 4.51. Overall, this place is a small miracle dynamo. Good food at great prices. Ordinarily, when a place has such a large menu(do yourself a favor and check out that menu), you start to think they can’t do everything well. And they can’t, and they don’t. But they do almost everything well, and they give very good value for your takeout dollar. Speaking of which: there are a tiny amount of seats for indoor dining, but I have no idea why you would eat there; it’s loud, and busy, with no atmosphere. You’d be better off to take your meal to your car and eat it there. And your home is so… homey. ORDER TAKEOUT is all I’m saying. My recommendation to you: Order takeout from this place. Order more food than you can eat, because the leftovers make delicious breakfasts / lunches / late night snacks. Oh, and check your order before you leave. Because they are human. If you don’t like what you ordered, don’t order it again. Tip well. With prices like these, you can afford it.
