Ribs were good . Mac and cheese not so good and portion size very small for 15 bucks will not go back . Very nice man running the place . This is not considered slander. I was very nice with my review . I should change it since you can't deal with anything other than 5 stars ! I still don't see anyone saying your mac and cheese is out of this world . You seem like the only one that thinks so . Like I said the portions size for the price was terrible . You really gotta stop accusing people of slander just because you took offense! People are allowed their personal opinion . I actually was there. I have people that can can verify if you want .

Food was good, portions were small. We got 1 lb of brisket, 1/2 rack of ribs, and 2 sides and it was a $129 lunch. I've eaten BBQ all over the country and that was by far the most expensive meal.

Fantastic ribs and brisket! A great selection of side dishes also so delicious. We went as a group of 6 and will go back for sure.

I’ve been wanting to visit this place ever since I got into town. It’s a cash only business which I can deal with, however I travel for work and I’ve ate bbq all over the US and have never paid this much for so little food. Makes sense why the place is always so empty. This place is located in a small town I don’t assume the locals come here much either. There is a big construction project going on for the next few years next to this restaurant yet no one on site wants to come here for $50 to $60 for a small rack of ribs. The potato salad is lacking what you’d expect from a bbq joint as well. Overall for the price and atmosphere of this place I would not recommend going here. I’d go over to the NODAK CAGE down the street.

The food was okay nothing special at all about this place or food. I’d probably go somewhere else. Won’t be back! Food was dry not much flavor didn’t fall of the bone at all. I’ve never paid so much for a rack of ribs and the quality so low. I’ve at plenty of places around the states and this one was worth a review letting people know to save their money! The place is always empty and I see why! Atmosphere is gross, everything is dirty. RUN! DON’T GO !! 🛑

The ribs are fantastic. We had Saint louis star ribs chicago style ribs and texas barbecue style ribs.

Now I’ve had BBQ from the west to the east coast and Memphis to North Dakota. Let me say that Kelly has to be one of the best people I’ve met on the road. When you talk about eating soul food or food that makes you say wow. This is your place. I’ve drove 2.5 hours out of the way to get lunch. Mac n cheese is to absolutely die for. Ribs are 11 on a 10 scale. Can’t say enough good about this stand. You may pay more than your use to buy I promise you it’s worth every dime. Take home food for your family or friends because you’ll regret not doing it I promise. Top 2 in my eyes in the entire country for BBQ.

The spicy BBQ sauce is to die for. I don't know what he has done to the Mac and cheese but WOW!!! BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. The chicken was moist and smoky. He was also so nice and wonderful. Y'all have got to get some food from here!!

Always tasty. St. Louis and Kansas City ribs are favorites. Potato wedges top off for a great meal.

If you pass through or near Ellendale and eat anything else, you will be making a mistake. BBQ pros for sure!!

Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious! Kelly offers incredible customer service, he even texted us that he was open again for the season! Worth the trip up from Aberdeen. A must try!!

One of the BEST customer service! This is our first time here. We did not know what to order and Kelly Hinton helped us by giving us a good size samples of everything he had to offer. Asking us what we like and didnt like then customize it to our liking. Not only ribs, you need to try his Miracle Macaroni and Cheese! My 10 year old daughter loves it! It's a surprise in your mouth! A nice creamy cheesey sauce with a miracle sprinkled sweetness and let me tell you, you'll never eat mac and cheese the same ever again. We sure are going back!

These are the best ribs and sauce that we have ever eaten! Kelly really knows what he's doing with that smoker and the charcoal! Even makes homemade cornbread and the coleslaw is delicious to! Ron and Tammy Aberdeen South Dakota

As you walk through the front door, don't be distracted by the menu above the cashier: what you're after is the "Hall of Flame!" It's the wall directly to your left where you'll find all the best barbecue options from around the country. I had the Tennessee style baby back ribs with (and without) Kelly's secret barbecue sauce. They were just the right amount of chewy but still tender enough to pull away from the bone. Now while they were pretty tasty on their own with the perfect blend of smoky charred rib and juicy seasoning, his barbecue sauce is finger-licking good! The dining area is rather small but you can easily see the owners take pride in their business. Even the bathroom is well-kept and practically fit for a luxury hotel. There is one major problem with this place though: the dining table didn't have a roll of paper towels. After all, once you finish licking that delicious sauce off of your fingers, you can't just walk around with slobber all over your hands. Once this place adds some southern music tracks for the background music, you won't find a better barbecue in the upper midwest! I can't wait to eat here when I visit Aberdeen again. P.S. Don't forget to grab a toothpick on your way out!

Closed in February or at least not open on Monday. Disappointed, cause it looked like a fun place to try during our Aberdeen visit. Easy to find.

GREAT RIB TIPS!!!! Best ever, I keep telling myself I'm going to try other items on the menu, but when I open my mouth to order.....it always comes out RIB TIPS! Fries and greens are awesome too!
