Flying in tomorrow so sad they are closed because it’s always my first stop but I’m so excited so I had to write another review. The food is always good and I can say since I been going here since I was about 7yrs old and I am now 35 and live over 700 miles away in SC lol. The customer service is top notch and they treat you like family cannot wait for my hug and kiss….I really think yall need one in SC lol see you soon

I’ve been working in Jersey City (EMS) for two years and just discovered this gem. The soprano sandwich- sopresata, prosciutto, mutz, sun dried tomatoes, olive oil. THE FRESHEST meats and mozzarella. Each menu item is *perfectly* crafted. You’ll often find an ambulance outside as we’re buying lunch- the photo on Google maps can confirm!

Came across Andrea's on a food tour, and loved the Soprano so much, we went back after to grab one to go. It's become our favorite italian deli.

Always awesome. Such a tremendous variety of the best quality imported goods - olive oils, balsamic vinegar, cheeses, etc. I'm personally addicted to the Italian honey. Every inch of the store is filled with delicious things to try. I've never been disappointed. Pete (the owner) has exquisite taste and is a font of good food info and advice. His selection of pannetone (Xmas) and Colomba and chocolate Easter eggs (Easter) are varied and delicious and required holiday items for my family. Every year he outdoes himself in sourcing new and delicious items for his customers!

I don't know. They have what they are supposed to have for an Italian Deli and the quality of what Italians expect, but every time I go, the personalities in-store SUCK ni matter how friendly I am as a neighbor-and Im Iatalian and I speak Italian. I leave, hoping not to visit again for a while. Rather go to Bayonne to see Chiro at Bernantis. ❤️

The owner is so nice and attends to all his customers with such great service. And every time that I have ordered or a friend would bring sandwiches for us to eat, it's always fresh deli meat. The mozzarella is so good and fresh. Hands down, Andrea is my new place cause everything is fresh and super good. And the owner is so nice and goes over and above for his customers.

Heard good things for awhile finally went and it is all true. The sandwiches, olives, and stuffed pepper shooters the best. Really enjoyed it definitely a great place to eat!

Andrea's has always been a favorite in my home. I was brought up eating italian sandwiches from there and now it's a family thing. Staff if super friendly and they know all of their customers. The food is always fresh and delicious for sure. They have a very wide variety of everything. Highly recommend giving them a try you wont regret it. Definitely my go to spot.

Ordered an Italian combo with mayonnaise, oil vinegar and oregano. Bread to meat ratio didn’t look great but man o man what a tasty sandwich. Absolute freshness. Also got a pound of tuna … and again wow ! Super super fresh !!!

My mother put me on to these sandwiches almost 20 years ago. Same thing everytime , Turkey mozz sun dried tomato balsamic mayo . I started getting them everytime I’m in Jersey city for work , and they are fresh everytime … I love how the shop looks like I stepped into a little piece of Italy with all of the foreign goods on the shelves

Another place I’ve been going to for decades! As soon as you walk in, it has the feel and smell of an oldskool Italian deli but it’s so much more! Their antipasto is amazing! Lots of times I settle for the classic pepperoni and fresh mozzarella on some delicious crunchy Italian bread. I recommend ordering early, it will get crowded! Enjoy!

Family's been going here for 3 generations, and for good reason. Fresh cold cuts, fresh baked bread every day, homemade mozz, so many imported products from Italy. You'll walk in wanting something and walk out with that plus 4 other things. Voted best deli in NJ multiple times, and it's well deserved. This is a must visit if you're in the area, a neighborhood staple that many hope will stay forever.

i truly love andrea, it is exactly what you want your local spot to be. i get the soprano (but with sweet peppers instead of sundried tomatoes, so good!) and the pete's special tuna. we also often order the antipasto platter with mozzarella to bring with us when we are invited to other people's homes for holidays/etc, it is always a hit and so much easier than cooking an appetizer myself. any day i visit andrea is a good day!

Andrea Deli never disappoints. Always an effort to get back to my roots but going to Andrea Salumeria is worth the trip.

As good now as it was 30+ years ago. So happy Andrea's exists ❤️

I've known Andrea Salumeria since 1972. I've known the original owner Andrea who was a wonderful gentleman and his wife bless their souls. A good friend of mine since the first grade now runs the place. Peter is a good man, and they serve some of the best sandwiches in the state of New Jersey. The cold cuts , The freshly made mozzarella cheese, all the ingredients in the store very well kept. It is a hot place and little old Jersey City New Jersey it's incredible I must stop if you're in Jersey City.

Going to sound crazy...the BEST CHEF SALAD YOU WILL EVER HAVE! I mean their hero's are fantastic, but you would be missing out if you don't have the chef salad with mozz atleast one time before you die!

Visiting from Florida, my friend takes me to this place. Said they have the best sandwiches in NJ. Bold statement I thought, so let’s give it a shot. He wasn’t lying. The Soprano sandwich, which is what I got, was out of this world. The man behind the counter made a joke saying that the only thing about that sandwich I should know, is when I finish it, I’ll be able to speak Italian. Might not be able to do that but for a moment I felt like I was actually eating food over there. Every time I come back to NJ I’ll be getting a sandwich here. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

Sorry, I do not agree with the "Best Sandwich" hype...The bread was hard and rubbery. The sandwiches (Combo, Tuna, Turkey/Prov) were tasteless. I thought it was me getting Covid (i.e lost of taste) but my co-workers agreed. We threw them out. Never Again. Kudos to those (friends and family?) who like this place

Best place to get a cold-cut sandwich. Roast beef with mozzarella is my favorite. If you want to ruin regular tuna sandwiches for yourself order a “Pete’s Tuna”, it is fantastic. Nicolo is my preferred employee to make my sandwich as well as the owner Peter. If you aren’t a sandwich person they also have salads as well as pasta salads. Whatever you order make sure you add mozzarella, it is freshly made daily. If I lived closer I could easily eat here everyday 🥰

I Live in Bethlehem , Pennsylvania. I used to work in Kearny NJ and after retirement in 2017 I really missed getting my Italian Deli sandwiches with fresh mozzarella from Andrea. I recently had a Sandwich Panic attack stopped at the fuel depot on the Jersey side of Rt 78 and drove 80 miles to Andrea Salumeria. You may say I am insane for driving so far because there are Italian deli here locally Allentown, Easton etc. None of them come close to the way Andrea makes them. I drove almost 2 hours one way to get the sandwich and the fresh pizza on the counter with just sauce on certain days. Nobody does that. Andrea is # 1 in America. NYC can't make a sandwich the way Andrea does. Best Homemade Fresh Mozzarella too. Retired USPS KearnyNJ DVD

A Jersey City Heights' staple of love and hospitality. I always get myself a Cold Cut Pasta Salad with Fresh Mozzarella. The marinade is to die for. Also love the Anti Pasto Salad and ask to add the mozzarella. The What's up is a great sandwich and the bread is great. Pete.....he's the man. That is all I can say. 5 Stars and can't miss.
