We love everything about Anna's!! Highly recommend!

We traveled from mn for fresh lobster and we found the best here! I asked the owner who catches all the fresh food, and she said my brother he's sitting right over there. A true family establishment. As fresh as it gets..when my friends and family ask about my trip I always tell them about Anna's restaurant it was a highlight of our trip.

Off the beaten path. Tucked in a cove right on the waters edge (the name is no lie)what’s not to like!!??

Food was incredible with a view that's to die for.

We arrived by boat. Tied up at their float. NOTE: Do not tie up to float on the left! That one is reserved for fishermen. Food was great. Indoor full service dining or picnic tables and they call your name when order is ready. The atmosphere is everything! Iconic coastal Maine. Water, working waterfront, boats, seafood! I had fried clam basket. Salads with scoop of crabmeat looked delicious!

Absolutely perfect spot for lunch today! Peaceful, beautiful views, and the food was delicious!!!! Highly recommend.

Reasonably priced and friendly atmosphere.

We drove down to Anna's for a bite to eat because the location is absolutely beautiful. Sadly, this was the most disappointing meal we've had in a long time. The location is a 10 BUT the dining experience was maybe a 2. The lobster roll we received certainly did not look anything like the one pictured here. Not sure where they found the smallest roll I've ever seen but it did not have room for more than a couple of bites of lobster. Included in "the meal" was the smallest bag of potato chips ever. Rest of our meal was no better......fries were old and cold. Maybe the dinner specials or just having a boiled lobster with a beautiful view would be OK but for us, sad to say.....don't think we'll be going back.

Lovely setting on the water looking over at Malaga Island. Friendly service. Overall good food. Very disappointed that the restaurant does not use reusable plates, flatware and cups. We generated about a half of a black trash bag of waste for a four person meal. A little shocking in light of climate change and the earths trash problem. I hope they change this practice soon! Then I’d be more than happy to recommend.

Friendly staff, good food, and classic decor. A huge bonus was the sandbox with toys for our toddler. Great views!

We have several fav lobstah / seafood shacks in Maine. Thought this would rival those based on reviews. But, alas, we were disappointed. Staff were friendly and location is nice, but food was just OK and portions were tiny for the $. A nice outing but we won't return.

Anna’s Waterview is a seasonal seafood restaurant with spectacular ocean views in a picture perfect location with a nearby lobster wharf. We’ve been here many times and have never had a bad meal. I almost always get fried clams, my wife a haddock sandwich. One orders food at a window or an inside. Punter. There is ample indoor seating but the best seats are waterside at picnic tables. Well behaved dogs are allowed. There is an ample beer list and some wines. The only negative is that Anna’s closes in August, in time for the college age staff to get back to school, and for Anna to resume her duties as lunch lady at Phippsburg Elementary school, where I assume the food must be tasty! If you ever get out to Phippsburg, Anna’s is THE place to have a great informal meal

Definitely a must try. Hidden gem went with and some friends if they were not from here you would never the restaurant was here, worth the drive from anywhere. Step back in time. Right on the coast eat at the waters edge or inside for some of tje freshest seafood around.

Don't like having no waitresses and having to clean my table. I go out so I don't have to do that. Food was great as always. I will do take out!

Went to Anna's while staying in Phippsburg for a week. 2 of us had lobster, one the stuffed haddock, the other a lobster roll and Cole slaw. The everyrhing was fabulous. Moat restaurants Cole slaw is terrible, but Anna's was awesome. The lobster was 1 lb and 20 bucks best deal we could find. The view is amazing as well. We liked it so much we went back for another evening. Thanks again for both evenings.

Pros: Food is delicious! Prices are very reasonable. Excellent selection. The view is incredible. Cons: Not enough parking. Not enough inside seating. They do not take reservations. Fortunately, it was a nice evening so we were able to eat outside. The wind was blowing hard, so our dinners cooled off quickly. It was challenging finding a place to park. I really enjoyed my baked stuffed haddock....this is the only place on the peninsula to get baked stuffed haddock and baked stuffed scallops now. It is served with a parmesan sauce, very good and filling. Their coleslaw is the best I have ever had in a restaurant! The fries are delicious as well. We also enjoyed the homemade desserts. Please consider taking reservations! We will be back next year.

I'm a Brit who lives in Maine and this was my first time at Anna's. My friend and I were looking for somewhere by the water. I was blown away by the neighborly atmosphere, the view, and the delicious home made vegetable soup. the band was great. Young and old were dancing. One man danced with his dog! Another danced with his baby grandchild. It was beautiful. Don't expect silver service and china plates. Do expect good simple food, a chilled , friendly, family atmosphere and the best view ever.

This was their last open day for the season, so they planned to stay open until the food was gone. Therefore, the menu got somewhat depleted, but the fried haddock sandwich that I had was tasty and fresh, and my friend's vegetable soup made her happy 😄. A live band was playing, some folks were dancing, and the atmosphere was friendly and convivial. The view is to die for. A sprinkle of rain didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits!

We recently ate at Anna’s and enjoyed fried clams and lobster stew. Everything was delicious and I think it’s the best place for seafood in Phippsburg. With changes at other places this past year I think it’s the only place with fried clams and a good crabmeat roll. The view is great and when the weather is good I like to eat outside at the picnic tables. My one wish is that they had a longer season, as the close for the season prior to Labor Day.

Great small local/tourist welcoming place! Good value and very nice staff. Our table had Steamed lobster, fried clam basket, and haddock sandwich plus beers. Good selection of bottled beer. Good spot to meet folks as they offer a U-shaped bar where folks gather and chat. Seat yourself, then order at the front with table service bringing the meal. They requested help bussing- these are the times; we’re so glad they could open!

Great lobster rolls and fried seafood with a fantastic view.

Location is beautiful but the meals were served in a tin pan like that were taken from freezer to oven. Like a TV dinner! Definitely not worth returning. There are so many better places in the area to spend your hard earned money on and get better quality food. No waitress and we had to clean our table before leaving.

This should be a special place with fabulous lobster and crab in a picturesque location but unfortunately it really isn't. The service is friendly enough but the food, though nothing seriously wrong with it, is disappointing and the overall impression, in the end, depressing.

We stumbled upon this special spot during our recent trip to Phippsburg Maine. The food was outstanding, the views were spectacular and the view was breathtaking!

Had a delicious fried scallops basket for lunch in the dining room. (The last time we were here, we had to eat outdoors at the picnic tables which was fun too!) The restaurant is just what you'd expect on the water's edge - simple and functional. The staff is friendly and service is very good.

This awesome restaurant sits overlooking the picturistic harbor, with tables to eat & enjoy the view....the wharf for unloading the fishing boats is along side. one can also buy fresh seafood there. You can eat inside, buy takeout on trays to eat on the outdoors tables, or bag it to take home..The seafood here is fresh & delicious...there is also great burgers, fries, & superb onion rings anywhere. This little gem of a restaurant is off the beaten path, but easy to find. FRED says don't It. BUENOS

Friendly, welcoming quick service, good casual food, comfortable scenic outdoor picnic area. Didn't eat inside but looked very warm, homey traditional new england seaside restaurant.

Quirky spot with mostly fried foods.

Amazing homemade seafood and desserts. Fried clams, lobster stew and fries shrimp were great. Portions aren't huge but prices are reasonable. We had the mint ice cream pie, blueberry pie and peanut butter pie for desert and all were fantastic. Even if eating inside (although there is tons of outdoor seating also) you have to walk up and order your food at the register/counter and they bring it to you when ready.

I absolutely will drive several hours to have a meal here!!! I am already planning a trip in the next few weeks. Friendly, spacious and right on secluded water with a great view! Plan to take some time to relax!

Unbelievable location oh, I must go back!

I was excited to try Anna's after friends who had fished this area for years told me about it. Lunch for 3 cost us $95, and was mediocre at best. Service wasn't pleasant, everything was on paper, and there was no sense of "welcome" to the place. We had scallops- over fried, haddock- flavorless, and clams- tasty but gritty.

As always delicious and the service is always the best!

Another wonderful dinner at Water's Edge. We had dinner tonight for Valentine's Day and the 4-Course Pre-Fixe was perfect. Having a Pop Up restaurant during the winter months is a great idea and we thank you for doing it. We can't wait for them to open for the season.

Hidden little gem! Great food, drinks, and a beautiful view! I’ve lived in Maine my whole life and have never been to this place until this year. The picnic tables outside by the waters edge were nice, many also had an umbrella for shade. We will be back for sure!

Definitely a come as you are but bring a big appetite! Kids are welcomed with things to keep busy. Friendly owner, there almost 24/7, answers questions with expertise and a smile on her face. Food is Excellent with the freshest lobsters that my husband Bob, brings to her daily. The most beautiful view around!! Don't forget the great deserts!!!!

Great place due to COVID they have adjusted and offer picnic tables to eat outside attire limited inside sitting. Food was great and the view great.

Anna's is takeout only. They have several tables outside that over look a pretty bay, with lobster boats. The lobster roll was reasonably priced and loaded with lobster. Also, the people are very nice. I called ahead because they have strange hours because of the pandemic. Lobsters are available with mayo or butter and made fresh. Everything was ready when I arrived. After our experience at Spinney's, we visited Anna's twice during our visit to Phippsburg.

then order a clam basket. The clams will be few and the French fries a plenty! Service is relaxed and you will need to ask for silverware,salt, ketchup etc. Coleslaw is different ...more vinegary than typically available. View is great although no shaded areas so it can get quite hot.

We tried Anna's Water's Edge Restaurant for the first time on our recent visit to Maine, and we enjoyed it so much we returned for a second lunch. Chowder, haddock sandwich, lobster roll and fried clams were all fresh and tasty, served by a friendly staff. Its unique decor includes all kinds of nautical paraphernalia. One of the few places to dine near Popham Beach, its definitely a good option for a casual lunch or dinner.

We have enjoyed Anna's for a LONG time and was always a family tradition. We stuck out good and bad cooking and different family owners, and basically seen lots of changes. I think there was a good stretch though where not only the service was consistently good, so was the food. There was a time that everything tasted very homemade. Maybe the changes go with the moods of the owner? The last few years we noticed a different vibe. The servers seem to do the best they can and I can say they usually are very good and friendly. Now, why did I rate this as average? If you want basic lobster, a baked potato, and a lettuce salad with packaged dressing, then it is fine. Somedays it is nice to have a lobster meal inside especially on a rainy day. The prices are not that bad. I would not bother to order the other items though because those seem to be expensive for what they serve. The soups used to be a lot better maybe 5 or more years ago. Let me now share with you my most recent experience which was August 2018. I had booked for my family a reservation since it would be 13 of us. We were told to come only at 5pm which is fine. I entered the restaurant early. The server showed me the tables and I asked her if it would be ok if we took some photos outside of our family before the sun goes down. All the servers were so friendly and positive and said "of course" and "take your time"! Then we heard this loud scream from their front door. The owner or whoever was yelling at us to get inside. She could have walked over and spoken to us and asked us to come in because it was just a few minutes after 5. She could have explained kindly that we had the table for 2 hours and they want to make sure they serve us well and not to lose time. Instead, I quickly ran up to the restaurant and the owner continued to speak harshly to me with a frown, not neutral bland, but outright rudeness to me. I could not believe how we were treated! The next thing was I had a fish hook in my haddock. I nicely showed it to our server and who took it to the back. At first she apologized (of course it has nothing to do with her) and then nothing. No one said anything. No one came back to the table after that except to quickly serve us and get away. We spent a lot of money in 90 minutes. Most of our party ordered meals around $25 and up, ordered alcohol and even a bottle of wine, appetizers, etc. Then not even a thank you. I think what bothers me the most here is that our family has been loyal customers for many years. I don't remember not going there. We had private dinners and rehearsal dinner, etc. and my daughter always said how she expects her wedding rehearsal dinner to also be at Anna's. At a small place like this, they should recognize the families that come year after year. Sadly, this chapter is done.

I enjoy a lobster roll here. Neighbors paddle across from Cundy's Harbor to eat here. The outdoor spot is peaceful and enjoyable. It is only open seasonally. They, like most have a hard time keeping labor when school is in session. The seafood is fresh and good.

I've been coming here for years, love Anna's food and the view is hands down amazing! Prices are very reasonable and portions are huge...I love this place, it's become a must do whenever I'm anywhere near the area.

Really enjoyed this place. Headed back to Bath after some time at the beach and we found Anna’s. They graciously seated us just before closing and we enjoyed a yummy dinner. My kids enjoyed the complimentary goldfish crackers.

We tried Anna's because it was local to where we were staying. We ordered Lobster Rolls which were basically lobster in a roll nothing added to spice it up. The clam chowder seemed watery but the Service was Good. No complaints. Would we go back? Only if we were staying in the area again.

Went tonight and it was the Firefighters fundraiser..very busy, but we were in and out of there in an hour. Amazing food...I have seafood alfredo...tender pasta and full of perfectly cooked seafood. Awesome view.

We find ourselves returning again and again to this casual oasis with fantastic seafood. We eat at the outdoor picnic tables that overlook a quiet waterway. Indoor tables are also available.

No spot in the area offers a more beautiful setting than this. Anna's captures the rich feel of a real maine fishing community along with the finest cooking around. Truly a gem and worth a visit. We can't wait to go back.
