Highly reccomend our family always stops in for breakfast and or lunch when we visit Cedar Key. My favorite is just regular scrambled eggs with bacon and a side of cheese grits.

The staff are wonderful. They are very nice and helpful. The food was hot, fresh, delicious, and made to order! I definitely will be back when I come here to fish! Thank you for the great service and food!

My wife and I stopped in to Annie's during a walk to check it out and decided to stay for lunch. We had the BBQ pork and grilled flounder with salad, coleslaw and okra and the food was served quickly and tasted amazing - one of the best meals we have had in Cedar Key. The owner seated us, was our server, answered all our questions and followed up in a friendly casual manner to be sure everything was good. It was refreshing to have very simple, direct and honest service as opposed to the sometimes "canned" and rushed standard communication from some wait staff. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing on the back deck which had a true low country feel. We can see why this is a place the locals go to. We will definitely go to Annie's again.

This is an authentic Florida restaurant. They even have Mullet on their breakfast menu. They offer three dining areas. Indoor dining area, a screened in area, and outdoor deck seating. And there is a separate bar area. Food is good and the prices area reasonable.

Good food, people, ambiance! Right on the bayou. Screen walls, picnic tables, pets welcome, good prices. No A/C. Shades of old Florida. Best cheese grits around. Fried grouper done perfect. Homemade everything. A+++!

It was wonderful. Wait Staff was outstanding. Love sitting on the porch eating. Margaritas were outstanding. Will definitely make the ride just to eat there.

Definitely need parking a cute little place thing on the corner property that allows pets has a nice little deck area over looking a little Bay the bar is Lively seating comfortable and there's artworks around you that's for sale price the food is reasonably priced nice relaxing stop

We visited Annie's in cedar key fla today.The food was wonderful,I had the grouper dinner,wonderful cooked to perfection with a great baked potatoes,and a wonderful salad,my wife did the flounder dinner.excellent too.

Our lunch date was absolutely delicious! She had the poboy shrimp sandwich and I had the famous classic burger and omg, we loved it!! I hope this date turns out to not be a dishonest heartbreaker like my last ex....Hate I'm having to take this new journey but it is what it is!

If I could give 6 stars I would. Great food, Great prices and even better employees. It is a destination for sure.

The food was decent, but the service was pretty bad. They seemed friendly in the beginning, but once the meal was over and they gave us the check, things went south. They overcharged us by FORTY bucks!!! Then they we're very rude when we asked for an itemized bill (they gave us their chicken scratch order ticket that was unreadable). Good thing we did... $41 was "mistakenly" added to our 4 person tab. Once it was all sorted out, she dropped the price to the correct amount, offered a curt apology and stormed off to deal with the other table. Definitely do not recommend.

Ordered tito bartender said ok and poured simnoff and charged for titos and dont have ultra but lady at bar was drinking it

The food was really good here! The buns for sandwiches were crispy from the grill, the mac and cheese bites were the right amount of spicy, and all the desserts were amazing! I will say that sides are an upcharge and the prices are a bit high for a small business, but the quality is worth it.

This is a small old school cafe serving a great breakfast. The locals eat here. Inside is all wood, and they have a deck where you can eat outside overlooking the water. They also serve lunch and have a bar.

Weekend getaway to Cedar Key & had lunch here. Really cozy & cute atmosphere and our server was amazing. Good food & shared a really good dessert. Ate everything so fast, we forgot to take photos but recommend. Dog friendly & nice water view.

We enjoyed a made-to-order breakfast and it didn't cost much. My bargain-hunting friends will love hearing about this place. The waitress was friendly and told us all about the cafe. The cozy dining room used to be a dance hall and the cook preparing our meal was Annie's granddaughter. One of Florida's governors from way back frequented the place and his framed portrait appears on the wall. We loved the stories as much as the food. The biscuits were my favorite but the eggs with both grits and potatoes were yummy too. We loved the casual friendly vibe in Annie's and it won't be long until we come back to experience it again.

Great breakfast, straightforward, casual service, bring cash to pay if you can…. Sign says “cash is queen”. Low key, not fancy. Not pretentious.

What a charming local cafe! Everyone in cedar key is super friendly. We had lunch fried flounder, grouper, fries, okra, and the best baked potato. How do yall make those baked potatoes so perfect??? Beer and cold mugs. Great service and golf cart parking. We will be back!!!

Food was hot but not much flavor.

We were initially disappointed we arrived after they stopped serving breakfast. However, it turned out to be the best decision! Ashley's suggestion of an egg on their hamburger was an excellent choice. The food is amazing: hot, fresh, made to order. The "small" hamburger was more than enough. The cheesy grits were excellent and perfect amount of cheesy. My friend loved the hot fries and fried pickles. They were out of mimosas, but they have a full bar. The drinks were refreshing and better than a mimosa. The homemade key lime pie was phenomenal!!! Seriously one of the best I have ever had. Absolutely one of the best places to eat on the island. Low key and perfect. The outdoor seating offers 6 large tables with fans at each table and an outdoor deck option for bringing the furry family. 🐕🐕 If you're not eating outside, why are you on an island? 💜

If you're looking for a place a lot of the locals eat at, Annies is it. We're from St. James City, Pine Island Florida. We were curious as to how Cedar Key, (lil piece of paradise) compared to our "lil piece of paradise". We loved it. We had a chance to talk with a young man who had what is referred to as a "Bird Dog" boat. The clamming industry is BIG at Cedar Key and is generational. Clam boats are referred to as Bird Dogs due to the operator being "perched" up on the high bow for a better view of "shallow" areas. The conversation was very informative. The young man was in a hurry and left before us. When we had finished our breakfast, the server told us the "Michael" had paid for our meal. So, THANK YOU Michael. Not only for breakfast but for great conversation. And thanks to Annies for a great atmosphere - we loved the place.

We've eaten here several times. Biscuits are delectable. Biscuits and gravy is excellent. Pancakes and eggs also great. Service is the best. Parking is first come first served. Atmosphere is rustic and dockside. No a/c but plenty of fans.

I've eaten here each of the 7 times I've been to the wonderful island of Cedar Key and the food and service is always great. There is also art by a very talented local artist that is always available.

Annie’s is a breakfast must when in Cedar Key. The pancakes and biscuits and gravy were absolutely delicious. Our coffee was never empty. The environment is classic old Cedar Key, literally in the back country bayou. We will 100% come back when we visit Cedar Key again.

Food is great. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was great although if you ‘need’ AC, this may not be the place for you. Outdoor seating, screened indoor seating and indoor indoor seating. All serviced with fans but no AC. Not a big deal to me but may be to some. Veggie and western omelettes were yum! Veggie omelet had zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes….so good! Hash browns were perfection. Thanks Annie’s for a great breakfast!

Great burger and fries really nice people

Food was delivered 1 hour after we ordered. Other customers came in after us and received food before us. Server gave the excuse only 2 people working the tables.

All the ladies running the front room were great. The food was like mama would make only tastier. A must stop when on Cedar Key.

We have frequented The BEST place to eat in Cedar Key for years it’s Annie’s Cafe!! Saturday 4/02/23, I ordered fried flounder & shrimp, french fries and homemade potato salad. Yes, I said homemade tater salad and yes I know the difference between homemade and store bought. As Always everything was absolutely delicious and that homemade tater salad was so good got some to take home. If/When you make your way to Cedar Key do yourself a favor and eat the best food on the island at Annie’s Cafe and Annie’s also has a fantastic breakfast. Shout Out to Layla & Robin for excellent service and the cook folks who make sure we keep coming back!!

We have been eating at the BEST place in Cedar Key for many years … Annie’s Cafe!! Today I had fried flounder & shrimp with homemade (yes homemade!!) potato salad and french fries and as always it was absolutely delicious!! If/When you make your way to Cedar Key do yourself a favor and eat the best food on the island. Annie’s also has a fantastic breakfast yes I’ve had that too!

We had an excellent basic breakfast here. Perfectly prepared to order eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, toast. We want to go back to explore the menu further; we hear that lunch is excellent as well.

Cedar Key is a unique place to begin with. Enjoyed my visit and enjoyed this little Cafe. Great food and service...and great conversation with some of the locals. The views in this area are great and lots of wildlife which I enjoyed as a photographer.

We went to Annie’s for breakfast during our weekend getaway to Cedar Key. It was one of the best home cooked breakfasts we’ve ever had! The waitresses were very friendly as well. There are tables available outside and on a screened porch area that overlooks the water, very pretty view!

This is a great locals hangout for breakfast. (Or lunch) They are frequently busy so if you're looking for quick city service, drive on by, not your kinda place. But if you appreciate a good local place that's been here forever, great food and friendly service, island style, this is it. No frills, no BS, but a great staff and a comfortable atmosphere on the water. LOVE this place! I love a simple eggs, bacon, home fries and toast bfast, yum, but great biscuits and gravy and corned beef hash (until it runs out) and pancakes too. Seat yourself and enjoy! A Cedar Key treasure...been going there for decades for vacations...and the staff remembers us , like old friends picking right back up. Don't miss the fried mullet with grits and fresh sliced tomatoes. Or a big stack of fluffy pancakes that melt in your mouth. And the views off their back porch are worth lingering over another cup of coffee or iced tea.

First time here. Food was good. Had grouper. The corn nuggets and onion rings were good. The fried green beans not so Will come back.

I went to eat breakfast 2 days in a row, it was that good. 2nd day, the same hard working waitress asked me if I wanted the same as day before, she almost had it down to the type of toast. I couldn’t believe it, as they were slammed. Who remembers a stranger like that. And even tho they were short staffed, quick service, wuick GREAT food.

Breakfast was served hot and fresh. The biscuits are light and tender, best I've had in recent memory. The usual breakfast offerings on the menu and they do a fine job preparing them. My corned beef hash was cooked just the way I like it, a little crispy on one side. I wanted to have breakfast here every day!

Food was pretty good. But the service was garbage. The strategy of all servers take care of all tables together is a terrible concept. When you apply this tactic. The servers automatically assume that the next open person will take care of the customer. Well when everone is in the weeds, its easy to neglect a customer. And let me tell you, my experience today was the perfect example of why this practice always fails. Keep the tables in rotation. Its not hard. I sat down for 20 mins before I got a drink order. Got my coffee. Then it was another 20 mins to order my food. I was never offered a refill on my coffee. I had to walk to the servers station to get more coffee. After about 30 minutes i received my food. I'll say the food was surprisingly good, compared to the service. Honestly they were not super busy. 70% capacity with 3 servers, only one server actually knowing what she's doing. The other 2 were lost. So I get my food and it was great. I finish the plate in 15 minutes. I stacked all the dishes and flat wear on the opposite outside corner of the table, signaling I was finished with my meal. I literally sat there watching servers walk past me for the next 15 minutes. Finally the super skinny lady that stays in the weeds even with one table, came by and took the used dishes and asked me if I needed anything else. I told her I was ready for my bill please. She said she'd be right back. So I sit some more. I watch her stomp by me, (because this lady doesn't walk, she stomps and is extremely aggressive) she's the one who brought me my coffee. Lol it was a half full mug. When she set it down. She was in such a rush, whenever she went to pull away she was still gripping the mug. Coffee spilled all over my table. Leaving about 40% of a full mug. She just yells at the mug. "(COFFEE STAY!) storms off. So yeah, I asked this high strung coffee lady for my check when she clears my table. So I sit and wait, then I wait some more, and wait some more. Honestly I could have walked out 3 times in a row without paying my bill. The coffee lady literally had 2 tables. By this time the dining room and porch was a dead zone. Yet this lady remained in the weeds. I finally got up and went to the register to pay my bill. Left a 9 dollar tip on a 22 dollar meal. Yep 22 bucks for breakfast for one person. Atleast the lady that cashed me out was nice. She was the one that took my order. Good food. But the rest was an absolute sh*t show. And that lady that I spoke about needs to slow down a few paces. That uneven energy ruins the atmosphere. It went from a cool looking Cafe to walking in and being thrown into a Charlie brown scuffle! I want to eat here again but my next order will Definitely be for takeout. Food- 8/10 Service 2/10.

Annie’s, its always yummy! Today I decided on just sides. Mustard greens, fried okra and baked potato. It was delicious, as always. Just open for breakfast and lunch. I have never had anything that was not delicious at this restaurant. 😊

Great place for a bloody Mary and their shrimp cocktail is blackened shrimp and super delicious. They also have great biscuits and gravy. The staff is super friendly!! Highly recommend.
