It was our first visit to this iconic restaurant, and it won’t be our last. Every element of our meals, both food and drinks, was perfect, plus excellent attention paid by two servers. The Oysters Rockefeller, which were invented there, and Baked Alaska aren’t to be missed. Afterwards, one of the servers also gave us a tour of the facility. An exceptional experience, from beginning to end.

My husband and I had the coolinary dinner meals and it was all delicious. He had the Rockefeller soup, pork chop and crème brûlée. I had the tomato and crab salad, soft shell crab with asparagus and rice and peach crumble with ice cream. All outstanding - soup and soft shell crab the favorites. Large portions. All wait staff very professional - stand out was our main waitress, Lyterasia (not sure of spelling), but said she had been there for 3 years. Will definitely go back.

We had a reservation on Friday, August 23, to celebrate our anniversary. The servers were very attentive. Becky was a true gem. Very funny and kind. We had a lovely meal. We have never been disappointed when dining at Antoine’s. The fish dishes my husband and I ordered were delicious. The fish was fresh and the crabmeat topping was tasty and sweet. As always, the Oysters Rockefeller were phenomenal! We also ordered the Baked Alaska. It is the size of a football. Quite impossible for two people to eat. A delicious treat one doesn’t see often these days. Thank you for the lovely evening. We look forward to dining with you again very soon!

We were told that our order of osyters rockefeller was the 4,106,000 order for this Antoine's original since the dish was first "invented" in 1889! The alone were worth the price of admission. Our waiter, Chuck, provided excellent service and provided some of the restaurant's history.

Excellent service, waiter Murphy and assistant server Megan were very professional and they at our request split our coolinary entrees so we could sample and share both entrees. Food was delicious. Enjoyed walking around the various dining rooms especially the Rex room and viewing the history of the restaurant and the photos of celebrities. Will definitely go back.

In NOLA for three days and cancelled another one of our favorite restaurants to eat here twice! Chef Jerome Johnson truly is an amazing chef that is passionate about his works of art! The restaurant offered a Coolinary menu and it did not disappoint! The tomato salad was piled high with lump crab meat, the soft shelled crab was delicately fried and placed on a delicious crab rice pilaf and sauted asparagus. We also enjoyed the pompano that was topped with crab. To finish our evening we enjoyed a vanilla-peach crisp with peach ice cream. If you get the opportunity to enjoy a starter of “chocolate oysters”, (not really their name, and there is no chocolate in them) they are to LIVE FOR!! Everyone made us feel a part of their family and we thank you. Ziggy and his partners were extremely attentive! We will be back!!

Celebrated our anniversary and everyone made it memorable! From Chef Jerome Johnson’s cooking with passion and love to Bryce’s excellent service and warm smile. It was good experience but not worth the hype and expense. The food was average, the service was nice but very very slow. So many reach overs from the wait staff while I was trying to eat. The waiter forgot a few food items we ordered and had to go back into the kitchen and scurry to get the original order or compensate and provide more/something different than originally requested. Would have preferred they just took the mistakes off the bill rather than give me more food or beverages I didn’t want. Jazz was great. Maybe it was an off day. I wouldn’t go back. Recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Not worth the cost.

The food at this restaurant was truly exceptional—each dish was a delightful blend of flavors, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. However, the service left much to be desired for a fine dining experience. We waited 30 minutes for water, and our main course arrived just three minutes after our appetizers, disrupting the flow of the meal. The quality of the food seemed more like what you’d expect from casual dining, not the upscale experience it was supposed to be. The service was below average compared to other restaurants we visited in the city. The burger was really good and stood out, but the rest of the food was subpar. We ended up not ordering additional desserts, only having what came with one set menu and were eager to leave. Overall, we did not enjoy the experience. The only reason I’m giving this restaurant a rating of 2 is because of the ambiance. The restaurant is authentic and nice from the inside.

Antoine’s was terrific once again. We visited for our one year wedding anniversary and Brandon was our server, just as he was for our wedding dinner. He was an excellent server and provided five-star service. The restaurant has changed their recipe for the oysters Rockefeller, so that was an adjustment for the flavor profile, but everything else was perfect.

I have always found Antoine’s to be consistently excellent until last night. The soufflé potatoes were cold. The service was good, but what I ordered was not what I thought I ordered- It was a vegetable dish and was not hot and mediocre at best. My husband got the softshell crab and said it was delicious, but a very small portion and he is a very small eater. Another friend at the table ordered the pork on the coolinary menu and ordered it medium, as was suggested by the waitress and it was raw in the middle. I encouraged him to send it back, but he did not as he was annoyed. Another friend had trout almondine and said it was delicious. The crème brûlée was watery - like soup! I am shocked at how the quality of the food has declined. I hope that Antoine’s will take note and return to their previous level of excellence.  The coolinary menu will not help with slow summer business if local diners’experience is so poor.

Asked for water and immediately they were upset. Brought 2 warm 16oz bottles waters. People that ask for wine or drinks, receive iced water with a water servers. Imidiatly put at our table escargot. No bread or plates. Long time later, she brought a bag with some bread. No plate for the bread. escargot was delicious. Took our silverware which we had to beg and wait for us to get some forks. Fish arrived! But no silverware, Fish had a used sliced lemon. To whom she explained chef had squeezed to my non lemony fish. The Pampano Pontchartrain Fish was very disappointing! TOP LINE SERVICE AND SPECTACULAR THREE COURSE LUNCH FOR $25. This months “Coolinary” lunch selection is incredible. The Rockefeller Soup, Des Allemandes Catfish and Frites, and Pecan Bread Pudding were generous and delicious! Our server, Latesha Ancar, was very attentive, reinforced that we were dining at a five star restaurant, and gave us her card so we could request her at future visits. Commander's Palace wins this match up. Actually, the Royal Cafe on Canal is a better value. Very surprised and just a bit disappointed that both host and waiter failed to acknowledge our celebration. How difficult is it to simply say, "Congratulations" or "Happy" whatever? Entree and dessert were delicious, yes, but for the price, the servings were comparatively below average (of course, we're from Louisiana, so a bit spoiled with respect to portions); nonetheless, no value here and below expectations here with similar tastes and experiences abounding in the Quarter. So you're primarily over-paying for the history of it. When my spoon, "ding," hit the bottom of the shallow bowl, "Opps, wrong decline. No digging a little deeper here [meant metaphorically with respect to the overall dining experience]. Well, that was deceiving." Waiter wasn't particularly helpful in suggestions and merely seconded choices. With white linen, a waiter's duty usually includes crumber (built in at Ruth's Chris for instance), usually a higher end expectation, surprisingly missing here, considering.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The service was impeccable, I wish more restaurants had service comparable to Antoine's. The appetizers were great. We ordered the charbroiled oysters, and they were so great we ordered a second round. The mains we ordered were not the best. We ordered the filet and the fish on the half shell. The fish mostly tasted like butter rather than fish. The steak was good, but I suppose we expected it to be over the top. The baked Alaska though, that was hands down the greatest! When it arrived we thought there was no way we could finish it, but don't let size fool you. Although it is huge, it was light and quite delicious. Glad we made it to a restaurant that's been in operation since 1840!

TL;DR: There are better establishments in New Orleans to visit for incredible food, Antoine’s will never be it. We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at Antoine’s on a Friday night - ambiance is rich with history and culture but that is about all Antoine’s has to offer guests. Let’s get into the service - there are two servers that will touch your table (great - two people taking care of us, we shouldn’t have any problems). That was an incredibly wrong assumption on our part. It took around 20 minutes for the first drink to arrive, a little excessive, but didn’t phase us considering it was a Friday night. When we put in our appetizer order, only one of our apps arrived and we figured the oysters were wrapping up. We assumed wrong here too. When the oysters finally arrived, they looked like they had been sitting in the service window for quite awhile. Our server ended up coming over to confirm our assumption, asking if we did not enjoy the oysters since she said they had been sitting in the service window but they were never ran until later. For that reason, they were very underwhelming considering Antoine’s is known for oysters rockefeller. We decided to move along with our dinner, maybe a bad night, you never know. We ordered two entrees, the lightly breaded fish with a crab addition (which was phenomenal) and the chicken which was something I could’ve recreated better at home. The chicken thigh was so dry that it was hard to even properly even swallow. No apologies were given by either server. We ordered another round of drinks that were different from our first round and the server was very confused about my order - Hendrick’s, club soda and a lime garnish. She asked me to repeat the drink order multiple times and still came back again a few minutes later to ask another time what my drink order was. When my drink arrived, it was not in fact what I ordered (shocker), they used tonic instead. Overall, terrible experience considering a $200 tab.

We chose this restaurant without knowing any of the history! We were surprised to hear and learn about it more with a tour of the entire place after our dinner. Our server, Latesha, was outstanding. There was a mix up during service which caused our food to be delayed but she made up for it with a round of champagne :) The food was delicious and I discovered my new favorite wine. I will definitely return here the next time I am in NOLA!

A great dining experience all around. It is a treat to eat at Antoine’s and walk through all the different dining rooms and look at all the memorabilia and historical items on the walls. The food is excellent, and the service from our waiter, Mr. Chuck was outstanding, and he went through the dishes and the history of the restaurant. Always an enjoyable experience!
