THIS IS TAKE OUT ONLY! The food smell wonderful, but I was looking for a dine in restaurant this time. Will visit another day!

This is a true New Orleans food experience! Tiny hole in the wall place with hours and menu that constantly change. The atmosphere is eclectic, from the decor to the music to the chef himself. Absolutely check the ARS menu page on Facebook before you go, it will let you know when they're open, what the day's menu is, and what's left. There's only street parking available, and there's usually a line. They take cash & card. All food is to go, but they do have a picnic table outside if you can't wait to dig in! Everything is made fresh, right in front of you, and the flavors are immaculate. Today I had the seafood fettuccine in spicy tomato sauce, it's so difficult to get scallops and mussels cooked this perfectly! The sauce was spicy, but full of flavor and not just heat. The Meyer lemon & summer berry ooey gooey was the perfect balance - zesty, creamy, tart, and dreamy. The tollhouse pie was so good I wanted to cry, I want that salted caramel sauce on top of everything for the rest of my life. Do yourself a favor and go check it out, it's worth the wait!

The wait is a miniscule price to pay for this incredible food.

Always check his schedule before dropping by. Menu is always changing as well. Queues take forever… and it is all damn worth it. I went twice in a week… will return next week because I NEED to try everything I can. Food is absolutely amazing. If he ever has tapas on the menu, its a MUST. His curries are also terrific. Don’t get me started with dessert. Key lime pie was out of this world.

This is probably the best “hole in the wall” type of place that I’ve ever been. You will probably wait a while for your food, but it is so worth it. I ordered the pasta with the meatballs and the chicken curry and my goodness. Food was so DELICIOUS. I believe he has a seasonal menu, so food might be updated every now and then. Credits to the chef, this is a one man shop and he does it all, quite literally. It is a VERY tiny place, so you won’t be able to dine in, but this place is a must if you are in The Point. Give it a try and you will not regret it. P.s.: didn’t take pictures of the place/food because I was so hungry and I devoured my meal.

Peter's food is terific -- just be in line before he opens if you want to ensure he hasn't run out of the particular dishes you want!

We stopped because the door was open. He was only serving falafel. It wasn’t just falafel (3) ,but a dinner with salad,humus,stuffed grape leaves,(2). 2 of us split the dinner. Also bought tomato-basil tortilini soup. He told us he wasn’t supposed to be open. People show up when they see the door open. The food was wonderful.There were several types of soup available.

I can't even begin to explain how good this is. Everything the guy makes just blows my mind. I go there every Thursday, normally he opens at 5pm but in summer 6pm Thursday-Sunday but you won't really know unless you like the fbook Appetite Repair Shop Menu group. Any curry the man makes is sooo perfect - especially the lamb shank curry. Salads always have a twist. Pork is perfect. Plant-based is out of this world. He really creates great food. The deserts he makes are fan freaking tastic! Thank you for reading my review.

One of the most memorable meals I've had in New Orleans. Everything that I tried was top notch.

The place was closed and completely dark when we arrived on Saturday around 8:00 pm?! No note of any kind, so I am leaving a neutral 3-star for others to save their time and call first. I am happy to remove or change the review if owner comments.

I feel extraordinarily blessed to have been able to eat the fine dining from this hidden gem. You will absolutely be satisfied.

Never eaten here. The owner trolled me on Instagram and left me several antagonizing comments. I hope by writing a 5 star review, more people will see this establishment , chose to spend their money with him and he can stop being so angry. Hurt people, hurt people and he is clearly in need of some love...

This place is amazing. Finally swung by after my neighbor raved about the food. The menu constantly changes and I had to check the FB page to see the days menu. I ordered a few dishes and stood around talking to Chef Pete. This guy is awesome. It does take a while for the food to get cooked but if I wanted fast food, Id have gone elsewhere. This stuff is legit. Be prepared to wait and just enjoy the experience. I will forever be a repeat customer after just 1 experience here.

If you want a unique menu that changes daily, fantastic food cooked right in front of you, and a dedicated chef who knows the locals and welcomes the "not quite locals," follow the Facebook group and stop in for an amazing treat!

Hidden deliciousness spot in a low-key neighborhood that I wish I lived in

Pete is an amazing chef. We walk to ouch up dinner multiple times per week. Save room for dessert.

Showed up 3 minutes before opening. 4 people in front of me. 1 person showed up with a call in order. 40 minutes late, 2 people still in front of me. If you have an hour to stand and wait for food, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, find another option. OK, so after waiting an hour and getting the food, I can say it was with the wait. Still 4 stars for the inconvenience. But man, the food was great.

Amazing food!! Yesterday I noshed on country fried cauliflower steak, pasta and mushroom gravy (among other delectables). Shut the front door.. this dude is incredibly inventive.

Awesome little hole-in-the-wall take out place. It’s a one-man show and the line can be long, but it’s worth it. The food is very high quality - really at fine dining level.

Pete will make you delicious f*#&!ng food and nothing else. He won’t ask you how your day was or if you think weather is nice. His passion is for food. Portion size is generous. The place is tiny and you can barely fit four people standing inside, maybe go to the levee and eat your feast. His hours and menu change in surprising ways. He is very active on Facebook so go there to track his menu as it evolves through the day. Sometimes I will plan my entire day around Pete and I have never regretted it.

Stopped in for some Mac N Cheese and Cheesecake and had to stop myself from going back and finishing and buying more. The best Mac n Cheese I’ve ever had and some of the tastiest and most flavorful Moroccan salad!!! Major major love

I normally can be as picky eater. Even I know when I should just let go and trust the chef to tell me what I should eat. I've never been let down and it's some of the best food I've had in years. I would give him more than 5 stars if I could.

I tell people about Appetite repair shop when they’re visiting my shop, because being a local and a foodie I think it’s really important for visitors to our city to get a true experience. In my book that has not been published yet the very opening chapter is all about chef Pete, His contributions to pop-ups and the culinary changes that took place after Katrina here in New Orleans, andthe appetite repair shop. This is a very fabulous locals in the know kind of place.

Absolutely amazing! So glad I waited. The curry was bursting with flavor! And butternut squash salad, Turkey, blue cheese was superb!
