So much fun! The cats were super friendly and my kids had a great time. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My seven and eleven year old granddaughters loved their experience at the Aristocat Cafe. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed a peaceful hour with the cats. The tea choices are extensive, and my granddaughters enjoyed their delicious hot chocolate. We had a great time!

My daughter was too young to go in the cat area, but it was nice to have a long window and glass door that looked into the cats. My daughter loved it. I also like how the food and beverages area is separate from the cats. It makes eating food and drinking coffee easier

The best way to spend an hour of your day! It cost $15 to go inside the cat room, and oh my, it was worth every penny. Such an easy and fun weekend activity that gives back to the animals. 🐾

An amazing and fun time. We arrived a little early for our appointment and store opening, and they lwet us early. Amazing staff and adorable cats.

The staff (and kitties) were incredibly kind! They have good measures set in place to keep the cats healthy while still allowing you to have an enjoyable experience. They are definitely worth the visit and I would recommend them to all cat lovers or anyone interested in adopting the perfect feline friend!

These guys really take their tea seriously! Lots of different blends from all over the world, as well as some pretty stellar signature blends. (Intuition and Grandma Meme's Garden are the ones I've tried; 10/10 would recommend!) Of course, Aristocat's love of tea is matched only by their love of their cats. They take very good care of them and have proper measures put in place to ensure their well-being. This really shows in the cats' behavior - they are clearly well-socialized and comfortable around people. Heck, when they get into spats with each other (which is seldom), half the time I suspect it's over who gets human attention! Anyway, excellent tea + cats = easily one of the rising landmarks of Harrisonburg, VA. Check out their site if you haven't already!

Booked the entire cat room for a large family group on a rainy vacation day and it was a great experience. The cafe drinks are delicious, and the cat room is amazingly well thought out and run. Our kids (8-30) couldn't have enjoyed it more. Thanks for creating a neat space that helps cats get adopted.

New favorite cafe in town! I've only been once, and I LOVE this place. The space has a nice and inviting design, great for hanging out to do work or chill. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. And the drinks are AMAZING! My favs are the lavender cold brew, flavored lattes, and floral teas. There's a big variety of tea on the menu, and they have weekly specials. I'm not a cat person, so I just go for the cafe... But if you're feline inclined, you can make a reservation to spend time in the cat room. Everyone I saw with the cats seemed to enjoy it!

My husband found this place when we desperately needed coffee on a trip from Philadelphia back home to New Mexico. Oh how I wish Virginia and New Mexico were closer just so I could come back here easily! Great coffee, great tea, great service, and adoptable cats you can pet! Though I didn't get to pet them this time just because we had to hit the road again, just getting to view them through the window while we waited for our drinks was amazing! I highly recommend and I can't wait to visit Virginia again for a variety of reason, but this place definitely being one of them!

My kiddo has been begging to go to a cat cafe for a long time. While we were vacationing near Harrisonburg, we stopped in at Aristocat Cat Cafe to visit the cats and have a tea. It was everything she wanted and more! The cats are very well taken care of and the space is laid out thoughtfully and beautifully. I love that the cats are fostered for a shelter and are available for adoption. They do charge a fee to spend an hour with the cats, but that all goes to their care and keeping. Also, they have an impressive tea menu! We will definitely be back to meet more cats the next time we are in the area!

Beautiful place! The cats are so friendly- some cuddly, some playful. The cat room has lots of enrichment, and the whole place is gorgeous. I love the little things- the decor, and the little things to do while you wait for your time to play. I also like that you can just watch the cats if you don’t want to play with them. The coffee was really good too!

Love this cafe! You can watch the cats behind glass from the cafe or make a reservation to go into the cat area and keep them company. We had made a reservation so we bought a couple of treat pouches for the cats and a hot chocolate for myself that I’ll be craving for years. It was very clean and designed so the cats had a lot of areas to climb, hide, and play. We had a great time.

I've only tried the lattes but they are delicious. And even if you don't go into the cat room, there's a huge window where you can see them! Plus, when you pay for some time with the kitties, you are supporting the rescue organizations in the area!

Such a unique little coffee shop. We were on vacation and obviously missing our fur babies when my daughter found this little gem in downtown Harrisonburg. The coffee shop and cat playground are separated by glass walls so you can just watch the cats play while enjoying your coffee and there's no risk of cross-contamination or risk to the cats. There is a fee and release that must be signed to enter the cat playground, but as they explained it helps fund the rescues that they care for. It was such a great experience and definitely a place we'd visit again next time we are in town.

This is my favorite cat cafe that I have ever visited. I don't live in Harrisonburg, but will drive to visit Aristocat cafe when they are doing special events. Also, they serve great teas and have a fantastic variety.

Great selection of teas/coffee, friendly staff, good macarons, and adorable cats up for adoption! The set up for the cats is really top notch and they seem to be getting great care while they wait for their fur-ever homes!

When I came here back in January I was so impressed! It's incredibly clean and the cats were happily playing or snoozing in the sunny window. The tea we had was delicious and the service was great!

There is literally no way Aristocat Tea and Cat Cafe could be more perfect, unless it were open more often and later! If you're a tea afficionado the tea here is really top-notch; its Keemun is the best I've ever had, and their first flush Darjeeling is good. They make their own macarons (e.g. pistachio, passionfruit). They serve Vietnamese coffee! The cafe is warm and cozy, it's weirdly easy to meet new people there, and everyone who works and volunteers there is wonderful! But most of all--Madrid rules the house as the maitre d'! He is organized, suave, charming, and runs a tight ship! (May I say he's very handsome, too.) This is the best way to end your week, a delight to look forward to.

This is both a cat cafe with tea, and a tea shop with cats! The owner has curated an impressive selection of teas-- The puerhs and yellows on the menu show that she's knowledgeable about the good stuff. As for the cats, they're beautiful and well cared for, and hanging out with them is a relaxing treat. Aristocat Cafe is now one of my must-visit spots whenever I'm in Harrisonburg. If I lived nearby, I'd definitely end up adopting a cat or two from them.

I’ve been to a couple cat cafes, but this one is the cat’s pajamas! Unlike the other places I’ve been, this place could stand on its own as a tea house. But on top of that they have a very clean and well maintained cat play area as well. The tea selections were well described, the employee was friendly and helpful, and the cats were so fun. Love the mission of this place and the service, will definitely come back.

This was my second visit to the cat cafe- my family and I were not disappointed!! We really enjoyed playing with the kitties!! Our chai tea, lemonade and macarons were all excellent! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely visit again!!

They have great coffee. They were open to making a new mix for us! It includes an area where you can pet the cats and even do yoga with them. The atmosphere is pretty relaxing with seating in and out.

Our experiences at this cafe have always been wonderful. We’re blessed to have a great tea house and playtime with felines wrapped in one package. It’s such a lovely way to help find homes for cats who just need a little love.

Held a teen birthday party at Aristocat Café over the weekend and it was so much fun! The teens and adults all had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the cats, tea and coffee drinks, macarons, and space! We brought birthday cake, highjacked a couple of tables and the couch area to hang out, enjoy our snacks/drinks, and open presents. The staff were delightful to work with, the cats were darling. Seriously the best time, ideal teen party location, and so. much. fun.

So much fun! Spent a wonderful hour in the cat room petting and playing with about ten kittens and cats, then enjoyed some very tasty macarons.

Cozy cafe with lots a delicious crafted tea beverage options plus the unique opportunity to visit rescue cats from a local humane society. Matcha tea that Amanda recommended was awesome! Variety of locally sourced baked goods and cat themed items also available for sale. Love this place! 💕

This was such a lovely experience. I little piece of cat lover's heaven. We attended the kids "Kitty Time" for my son's birthday and had a wonderful hour sipping warm drinks and playing with cats. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the space is bright and beautiful.

Took my disabled aunt to visit the cats and they did not disappoint! The cats were so friendly! (Except Marbles, he was just hangry) The people were so kind and patient with my aunt as I was helping her meet the cats and she enjoyed every second of it! I didn’t expect much for myself until little Julius (shown below) snuck onto my lap and fell asleep! He’s precious purrs and pawing at my hands for more attention truly captivated my heart. We had a fabulous visit to the Cafe. The coffee and lemonade were fantastic, and the kitties were so friendly and fun to hang out with. It's clear these felines are well cared for in a great environment for anyone to enjoy.

Absolutely the best experience I have here had !!!!! The matcha is the best matcha I have ever haf (and I have had a lot). my mom got the Vietnamese coffee which had the cutest design ever and the service is absolutely fantastic. Not to mention how clean and tidy the place is. It's fairly cheap and totally worth it!!! Totally an adorable place, I will be definitely coming back!

I’ve been to a few cat cafes and I have to say this is a favorite! While I didn’t get anything from the cafe portion, the front room was clean and welcoming. I had an appointment to see the cats, which was a great time! While the cat room isn’t huge, it sure does the job as I didn’t feel crowded at all. The cats seemed content, most of them happy to be around the people:) I bought some cute merch before heading out. I’m so glad I stopped here, I hope to return some day:) I love that they’re helping cats have a better future<3

Ive been to a few cat cafes, but this one was the best decorated, absolutely gorgeous inside. There were plenty of friendly cats to spend time with, and friendly people as well. Ill definitely be back.

This place is amazing. I am a vet tech and was thrilled with the care for these kitties! Multiple water fountains, food bowls, climbers covering the wall, beds everywhere, tons of toys. There was hand sanitizer and shoe covers for the health of the kitties, and everything was exceptionally clean. Such sweet cats, I hope they all find homes but the cafe is definitely a little paradise for them! I had such a fun time and can’t wait to come back.

I drove 2 hours to visit Aristocat Café + Tea House and it did not disappoint! 10/10 - would recommend! I’ve worked in veterinary medicine for 23 years and understand the importance of cleanliness in an environment such as this. The first thing I noticed is how clean the café is! When entering the cat room, there is no odor whatsoever, which is quite the accomplishment for a space that has many cats. All of the kitties were healthy, happy and playful. It’s so nice to see a place where the health and wellbeing of the cats is paramount- add delicious beverages and this is the perfect little hangout for any cat lover! I’ll be back!!

Visited this café with my friend yesterday. We drove 2+ hours to get here and it was one of first cat café experiences. We were excited and we were blown away with the atmosphere. The owner, Amanda, greeted us, took care of us and was very attentive. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, I take cleanliness of feline spaces very important and this facility was spotless. The owner and volunteers take amazing care of these kitties and are very attentive to their needs and watching for any issues they may have. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

We enjoyed our time at the Aristocat Cafe with our three-year-old granddaughter. The cats were adorable and the tea was fantastic. We'll be back!

Wonderful owners have created a delightful atmosphere where you can sip on a cup of hot something and watch kittens in their playful space. We had a delicious lychee tea and adopted an adorable kitten at the same time

Absolutely amazing! Over 100 different kinds of tea and a very informed and personable staff that cares for their customers and their cats! If you’re like me and you still have an Earth and Tea Cafe sized hole in your heart (even though they closed years ago) please go give this place a try!! The tea was delicious, the cats were so fluffy, and the environment was perfect for relaxing.

An incredible way to spend an afternoon. There aren't many cafes that could technically "change your life" in the sense that you might adopt a pet. I legitimately feel better about the world after hanging out here for an hour or two. I had a lovely puer tea, and the owner is knowledgeable and open about the quirks of different teas and these cats' personalities alike. My only critique, which is really just a personal preference, is that I prefer to drink tea out of small cups, instead of the beeeg cups.

We had a great first visit. The atmosphere was great and comfortable. The lounge was very clean where we interacted with the cats. We enjoyed speaking with the owner about the adoption process. We definitely will visit again!

Had a lovely time coming here as a birthday surprise for my partner. The drinks were lovely and it’s so much fun playing with the cats for an hour. My only wish is that they had some food as well, but might just be that they don’t want the cats to get ahold of any

We had a nice time and enjoyed the cats. The chai was great. Staff were friendly. However we did have an individual with cat allergies in the glass enclosed Cafe side who had to leave early due to allergy symptoms. Definitely do not recommend the Cafe side as safe for individuals who have allergies related to cats, contrary to what the website suggests.

Macrons off the chain. Sugar cookie latte was magical. Staff was quite human and pleasant to communicate with. Don’t even get me started on the cats in the cat room. So many cats. All of them also pleasant to communicate with.

Wonderful atmosphere, tea, and cats. I would highly recommend to all! Amanda is such a caring, thoughtful, and amazing person with an extensive knowledge of tea. Without a doubt one of our favorite spots in town, and we come back often.

If you’re looking for a different experience, then I would highly recommend stopping here! If you’re in the area, stopping by for a nice selection of teas, and a very hot delicious cup of espresso would also be recommend for you. The unique thing that we experienced while there was that they had an area walled off that had many cats, some of which were up for adoption. You could enter into the area and play with, or watch the cats while enjoying a drink.

I love that they use rescue kitties that you can adopt! They aren't from a mill or chain adoption center, just some kittens that need loving. Not to mention it's super clean, the drinks are amazing, and the cats very obviously love being here. The decorations are so cute and so welcoming. 🩷

Beautiful cat cafe. I have been to over 10+ cat cafes throughout the US and Europe and this one was definitely one of the best. My husband got a delicious cider drink and we enjoyed an hour relaxing with the cats. I didn't smell cats at all, the whole facility was sparkling clean and all of the cats were clearly very well taken care of and happy. Wish we lived closer, this is a great spot.

This was the perfect spot for my cat obsessed 4 year old’s birthday party. He had a fabulous time and it was clean, well run, and the cats were so well cared for. The kitties were playful and happy during our visit and the environment was relaxing and inviting. The owner was flexible and accommodating with our mostly 4ish year olds who were accompanied by parents. I highly recommend this lovely place for a kid party or just a visit!

This is the best place in Harrisonburg!!! They have an extensive coffee and tea menu along with some great treats. There cats are very well behaved and very well taken care of! One of the most amazing places I have ever been too, I will seriously never forget it!!! The cats are super well taken care of, with several water and food bowls, none of which were empty. They are also well groomed and not stressed at all. One of the best cat setups I have ever seen. I would give this place even more stars if I could!

My children loved their time with the cats. The drinks were perfect, I'm a tea lover and the selection was excellent and the tea was strong. The treats were delicious and the staff was lovely. We will come again.

This is a wonderful cafe! The cat area is clean, organized and nice smelling. I highly recommend getting the monthly membership online ahead of time and booking an appointment online to ensure your spot. So glad to have this spot in Harrisonburg!

They have a delicious tea selection, all loose leaf and specially selected. I really loved the pumpkin spice chai it was a fall favorite! The sweetness was perfect!

What can I say about Aristocat Cafe, except that it is my favorite place to visit in Harrisonburg. The drinks are the yummiest, the kitties are the snuggliest, and the staff are warm and welcoming. The only thing I don’t like about it is having to leave. If you haven’t been there yet, you really should go. It’s a must!

Omg- I can’t say enough good things about them. This is the only legit tea house in Harrisonburg and they have so many deeeeeelish blends on top of the classics. Their coffee is great too. Love the staff. On top of that, cats. Mostly kittens!! Heads up- you need to pay $15/person to go into the cat room and play with them. But if you don’t want to do that you can watch from the cafe side through the wall-wall mirrors. I LOVE THIS PLACE 😭

I can count on one hand the number of places that 1. know how to brew tea at the right temperature, 2. have a menu of teas that actually contains the good stuff, 3. know the difference between tea and tisane, 4. do not pretend tea should be a fruit-flavored candy. When Starbucks bought Teavana and promptly ruined it, the number of places brewing good tea dropped to almost nothing. So, imagine my surprise when I find Aristocat Cafe makes tea right! There’s coffee here too. But, there’s lots of good coffee in Harrisonburg. So, I was not surprised to see people fresh grinding beans and making espresso from a regular machine (instead of some impersonal automatic). There are cats. I am allergic to cats. But, the cats are a safe distance away from me in their own room behind glass. The cafe space is spotlessly clean, so I can sit and watch. People and cats seem to be enjoying themselves. 5 stars: amazing tea; cuddly things are far away from my allergy; comfortable and clean.

Best Chai in the city hands down. I'm not a coffee drinker but I'm told that's really good too. Watching the cats is very enjoyable and the drinking area is kept super clean that people I know with allergies are not affected. I highly recommend the cinnamon apricot chai.

For my first time, this was an amazing experience. The cats were cute, the building looked nice and clean, and overall it was really fun and chill to be in there. The staff were awesome and friendly. I didn't try the food or drinks, but they looked really good. Also, free stickers!

I visited Aristocat Cafe for the 1st time on September 10, 2023. I loved it, I ordered a Chai Latte and the sat down on the cat's playroom and watched and rubbed the kitties in there. Awesome atmosphere.
