Orange chicken was terrible. Make it better myself. The Orange pieces i did find were burnt , not a very orange flavor. We also ordered sesame chicken . Seemed the same minus burnt orange pieces. Staff was more concerned with each other than the customers. Food was so much better years ago, maybe Mrs MiMi isn't part of it anymore??

Gem of an old school Chinese restaurant. A hundred different items on the menu, swimming in whatever sauce you wish. Plenty of seating, quick service. This isn't a flashy upscale place, it's more of a neighborhood style restaurant where you won't be out of place bringing your kids or showing up in flip flops.

If you have a chance to eat here I would. It was so good and they are very nice. I will go back.

The food is consistently better than other restaurants of the same cuisine. I have yet to receive anything not prepared very well. It's also a positive that when you get the extra rice which every Chinese restaurant gives you the extra rice on the side the Asian pearls is actually like fried rice

This is one of the calmest and most welcoming restaurants ever, the staff is very friendly. They give you large portions for a great price, as opposed to paying a lot for a tiny bit of food. Also, most importantly the food is DELICIOUS. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

My "go to" Chinese restaurant. Always delicious and very friendly service. Highly recommended. I've been going here for years and it's always great.

I know I see a lot of locals who really love this place. Great for them but I was very disappointed. I ate there on a Sunday so ordered from the menu. The fried food tasted like the oil was going bad and the bed of vegetables was 2 stalks of broccoli and a lot of onions. For the price I was very unhappy. Even the fortune cookie was stale. I'm local for a while with work but will not be back.

Can't believe I've never properly reviewed this place. I mean, what can I say? Food is amazing, I recommend the steamed dumplings and the Singapore Meifun as they are my go tos, but everythin, and I mean everything, on their menu is outstanding. The service is great. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and remember loyal customers. Atmosphere is great. Laid back and chill for a great dining experience. My favorite Asian place in Zachary and one of my favorites in general. 10/10

Food is delicious! We are usually very happy with what we order. A couple of weeks ago, we ordered meals to take out and were disappointed to find we were given another’s order. I called and spoke to the owner who credited what we paid. A few days later, we ordered again and the owner was very nice, added some extras. The food is exceptional.

I am revising my last post. Although the restaurant made lots of errors and the food was subpar. Mr. Echos did attempt to resolve the experience. Although I won't dine here again. The effort is worth 3 starts

Upon entering the restaurant we were directed to sit in a rickety old booth. Every time the person seated behind me moved, the back of the booth seat shoved me forward. The menu, like the restaurant, was old and tattered. There was only one server who was friendly and worked fast but looked disheveled dressed in old baggy clothing. Then the food arrived. The teriyaki beef was flavorless and so tough we had to use a pocket knife to cut it. The sesame chicken was an unappetizing almost black color with no discernible chicken. I tried cutting every rubbery piece looking for something that resembled chicken but it was mostly overcooked batter. The Asian Pearl (Zachary) was disappointing to put it nicely.

Consider finding a new supplier for your orange chicken. All batter with little to no chicken Terrible.

First timer and I ordered the beef and broccoli and sesame chicken with fried rice and crab Rangoon. Beef broccoli 2/10 tasted too much like gravy and the portions was really small. No sauce for the crab Rangoon which is what it really needed. Sesame chicken was burned and didn’t taste right also small portions. Okay service but wouldn’t return.

My church group meets here regularly. Ecco the server is excellent. The portions are large and food is delicious. My favorite is Egg Drop Soup snd No Strings Attached, which is a green bean & shrimp dish cooked in a Chinese sauce served with rice. The service is extremely fast and polite.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by my town local Asian cuisine but it seemed processed. The tempura looked like it was bought prebattred and a lot of the sauces on some of the dishes looked the same even though they were very different

Best Chinese food. The owner is great, best customer service in 5(I'd even go as far as to say Baton Rouge).

The owner cares about his customers. He will remember what you ordered a year ago. The service is great, and the food is almost as good. Far better than the industrial waste served at most Chinese buffet places. This is fresh and flavorful. Every dish taste like it was handcrafted by an expert. I love the cripy duck, and it supports my efforts at keto. Your glass will never be empty here.

Excellent service from Echo. The sesame beef was extremely tasty and exceeded our expectations. The interior is a bit dated and could have done with a good thorough mopping but otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

You will not find better staff, better Asian cuisine, or a more charming place for lunch or dinner than the Asian Pearl. The service is awesome just like the food.

Very nice little place. We were greeted very warmly and seated. The place was 1/3 full on a Wednesday evening. Drinks came quickly, we ordered both egg drop and hot and sour soup, both delicious. Then shrimp toast, I liked it but my wife thought it was too greasy. Lastly steamed dumplings, very tasty with a flavorful filling. We would definitely come back.

Lo mein is over cooked and soggy. Fried rice is bland and the general tso chicken is 95% breading 5% meat. It also lacks any heat whatsoever.

I have been eating here for years! I have tried some of everything they have, normally I love Asian Pearl. My husband really enjoyed this duck they do that meal alone is almost $30. I should have stopped coming when my husband got the cold duck, but NO everyone has a bad day right? Wrong it's like since Covid they've just went ALL WRONG! I had them about a month ago spent almost $100 & NONE of my crew of 7 ate any of the stuff we ordered most of it seemed COLD & OLD! Didn't complain, we threw that crap away & ate LIT PIZZA. Last night my husband & our sons were all out & it's just me & my 2 daughters. We decided to eat out & they wanted Chinese, so I call Asian Pearl. We place a $60 order for pick up they say 18 to 20 min til ready so this time I COME WAY BEFORE 18 minutes, our meal is NOT READY, I WAIT INSIDE about 10 minutes BUT not mad at least my food is freshly prepared & hot RIGHT? WRONG! I live less than 5 min. away from this place & we get home to THE SAME CRAP! Hard, old, rewarmed egg rolls. Crab Rangoon were tuff not crispy inside was not even warm & I love those. We also got lemon chicken, sweet & sour shrimp, Mapo Tofu, Pao Pao Platter and terriyaki beef. The only thing we had last night that tasted freshly cooked was the shrimp & chicken. My daughters (16 & 13 who paid for this meal night themselves) decided to pack up all the Asian Pearl & save it for their big brothers. Since they were not home when we got it, then it wont matter that the food is cold! It mattered to their mom, so I just threw it ALL AWAY & WE WENT & GOT SONIC! Sonic was AMAZING! We should have went there 1st. We wont be wasting another dollar there! Oh, and why do you give us FREE donuts EVERY TIME our order is messed up! Like they know part of our order was filled with old cold food BUT here we gave you FREE donuts! We threw them out too! I'm writing this review eating Mary Lee's DONUTS, we get them every Sunday morning. So when I want donuts, I buy donuts but when I want a good, hot meal that's what I want.

Always fresh fast and I've eaten from here 12 years always consist great prices and now that I have moved to the other side of Baton Rouge I continue to drive 30 miles just to enjoy their food and family atmosphere, from birth to almost teenagers, their kids are always well behaved and cheerful. This is truly a great place to eat and enjoy your dinning experience.

This place is PF Changs meets a dive bar. The food is simply amazing and authentic. We try to go here every time we are in town. Not much to look at but you will not regret your choice. Pro tip: call a couple hours before you arrive and reserve the Peking Duck.

Food was amazing! We had the Pao pao platter, pork lo mein, steamed dumplings, chicken and mushrooms, beef and broccoli, and shrimp and broccoli with brown sauce. Staff was very friendly. Good prices. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in town.

Had a wonderful Sunday dinner after church at the Asian Pearl! The hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever tasted. Both my husband and I had delicious entrees that were beautifully presented. Asian Pearl is the best restaurant in Zachary, by my account. The amazing staff always is incredibly friendly and knows everyone by name, no matter how many customers are there. They will offer plenty of recommendations and knows many of their customers orders by heart. Personally, I am partial to the hot and sour soup alongside a lo mein or Singapore Mei Fun. I have had multiple birthdays there and our waiter always makes it incredibly special, in his own way. Please visit Asian Pearl if you are nearby, I promise you will not regret it.

Delicious food, friendly service. Thoroughly enjoy dining here and highly recommend to others. Food preparation is consistent from visit to visit. Don't be put off by the unassuming exterior. Best dish to date: General Tso's Chicken; crispy chicken morsels under a spicy sauce.

On 1/7/21 I came into the restaurant to treat some of my employees to lunch, and this is where the place that they wanted to eat from. This was my first time but apparently not for them. All I want to say this is the best Chinese food that I've eaten since leaving California in 1998.
