food ordered 1. Seafood and green onion pancake: 4.5/5 points, tasty but small quantity compared to the price, seasoned soy sauce is delicious 2. Stir-fried squid: 3/5, I wanted it to be spicy, but it wasn't spicy and was too sweet so I was bitten. 3. Egg stew: 4/5, the soup is refreshing and delicious, the eggs inside are not fresh, small and tough. 4. Tofu stew: 3.5/5, it contains a lot of tofu, but is somewhat lacking in the taste of red pepper paste stew. It is edible. 5. Beef fried rice: 3.5/5, too much oil, greasy, will eat something else next time. Overall review: Not enough waiters for the size of the restaurant (you can't ask for anything because the waiter doesn't look at you), and it takes a long time for the food to come out.

Went for lunch yesterday and really enjoyed the meal. I had the LA kalbi and it came with several nice side dishes. The atmosphere was pleasant and they had the tv playing music and videos from a K-Pop channel adding to the experience. Service was great as well. All my questions were answered on the details of certain dishes helping me make a good choice. I will be back and will bring friends to enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Social media has made people too comfortable with being disrespectful, but it also allows for exposing some of the negativity. During a long road trip, I was excited to visit a Korean restaurant with positive reviews. Unfortunately, my dining experience left me infuriated due to the subpar service and food quality, coupled with their unapologetic "take it or leave it" attitude. When I asked about black residues coming out of the grill, they simply replied, "We clean our grill." I had to dispose half of the pork belly until they replaced the grill, with no apologies offered. The Gamjatang deviated completely from my understanding. They seemed to interpret "gamja" as just "potato," turning it into a potato casserole. There were no pork neck bones or accompanying meat, just a few pieces of pork and a lot of potatoes. May I also comment on the old rice that was served? With the rise of K-pop culture, I am extremely grateful that people are genuinely interested in trying out Korean food. However, the food and service at this restaurant do not align with my experiences and could mislead others about Korean cuisine.

Asiana garden never fails to impress. We always enjoy sharing the scallion pancake, which is both huge and incredibly tasty. Our go-to orders are bulgogi and pork bulgoli, which are always served piping hot with delicious rice and a variety of fresh dim sum. You won't leave here hungry, that's for sure!

Been here a few times, tried the kimchi pancakes, kimchi fried rice, kimchi stew, fried dumplings, and tteokbokki. Everything has been delicious. Atmosphere is nothing fancy, but owner gives it a warm feel. Very friendly.

Love the beef bulgogi - super tender and flavorful.

It may not look much from outside but boy the food tasted like delicious home cooked meal, very authentic and no holding back to cater to local tastebuds. Everything was good and tasty except maybe the fried dumpling (tasted like supermarket frozen dumplings). The Korean owners were very welcoming and friendly.

Visiting from NYC where the Korean options are strong and plentiful… so, sorry but a little spoiled. Banchan were terrific and flavorful. Japchae was decent. Kalbi was nice. The chicken was too dry. Mandoo (dumplings) were not plumply filled and were also a bit dry, skin too thick. Very friendly service and local vibe. I’d try again next visit.

One of the BEST hole in the walls of Memphis. Amazing & authentic Korean dishes, god they’re so good. We always do the kalbi and bulgogi with the japchae and it’s more than enough. Dumplings and seafood pancake are a must for apps.

My first time trying Korean bbq and the food was delicious. The whole experience was very fun and unique. The space had a homey feel that made you feel at home rather than at a restaurant.

Been coming to Asiana Garden for almost 15 years now, and it is hands down the best Korean food in Memphis. Great food, good variety, great service! Mandu, kimchi jeon, tteokbokki, bulgogi, samgyeopsal, bibimbap, kimchi jjigae, tofu jjigae, all the awesome banchan… We know we’re going to have a great meal any time we come to Asiana. It’s an institution, and anyone who’s interested in Korean food should definitely put it in your regular dining out rotation.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Memphis! Korean food is hard to come by here, but Asiana Garden does it authentically and so well. The bulgogi is top notch and their banchan is always fresh! I would also recommend the japchae, mandu, and kimchi jeon. It’s highly underrated and the staff is so nice and willing to teach you about any of the food you might not understand or be knowledgeable about. Love Asiana Garden!

This is the best Korean food in Memphis. My 8 yr old daughter and I love the tteokbokki, bulgogi with the best sides, and the tastiest japchae. The seafood pancake was really good too. My son had the huge plate of chicken fried rice and left nothing and . The service is wonderful and they even have camera monitors on the parking lot for extra security!

Is this really a Korean restaurant or an American restaurant? I was able to taste Korean food appropriately suited to American tastes. Of course I'm Korean. When I come to the United States and want to eat Korean food or have no appetite, I often come here. The young female owner may seem a little cold, but you're going to the restaurant to eat, not to see the female owner, right? Still, if you get to know her, she is a warm-hearted woman! (The coffee served by the female owner is excellent.) Anyway, if you want to eat Korean food in Memphis, I recommend this place. Galbi beef is the truth~

The quality of the dishes are starting to decline, while price is increasing. Ordered pork & beef bulgogi. Both now come with NO sides or lettuce, only white rice & meat. For $30 each, I wont be returning.

We went to this place for dinner. The place looks so authentic and it was quite packed with Korean people when we went. You know the place is doing something good when you see a number of people ( native to that culture) is actually eating there. This place surely checked off that criterion. We didn’t order any appetizer and directly jumped into some Korean bbq. They brought a bbq portable on table. We ordered beef bulgogi, pork belly and some marinated chicken. The beef was great, and so was the chicken. However the pork belly was quite underwhelming without any seasoning and spice. We ordered some mackerel too ( a separate dish, not a part of the bbq experience). The stewed fish was spicy and tasty too. They gave kimchi and rice with everything. Overall the food was fresh, and filling. The experience was great. Can’t wait to go back.

It was great to be able to enjoy the Korean food I missed so much in Memphis. Especially when eating the hotpot menu, I was happy to be able to eat hot soup that is not available in the United States. The owners were friendly and we ate in an overall friendly restaurant atmosphere. This is a restaurant I would definitely recommend to those who have not tried it.

To be honest, I didn't have any expectations because it was such a rural area. I ordered seafood and green onion pancakes, tripe hotpot, LA galbi, and salted fish, and it was delicious above average and the owner was very friendly. The owner is very pretty. I'll go again♥️

I came to Memphis on a business trip and there was no Korean restaurant nearby, so I came here even though it was far away. It's delicious like a local Korean restaurant. Although it is old like any other American Korean restaurant, the menu is diverse and delicious. Kimchi stew and soybean paste stew cost about $15.

Day trip to Memphis Ikea resulted in an unexpected lunch in a hole in the wall! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food! Everything tasted great! The kimchee was one of the best and the fried squid was perfectly cooked! Not too much sauce just the right amount of spice. There were really cute rooms in the back that looked fun to eat in- unfortunately I didn’t sit there because it was taken. The vibe of the restaurant is casual -no frills just food! My family loves Korea house in Nashville and it has a similar feel. The sides were delicious and the service was okay- considering only one gal working. If you are in Memphis and would like great Korean food try Asiana Garden!

I have missed bulgogi since moving to Memphis. Tried it at several other places and it just wasn't exactly what I'm used to. This place is it!!! I actually tried kimchi for the first time. Omg. I've been missing out for 36 years of amazing stuff! I get the bulgogi lunch special! I can never finish it all and take home like half of it! Now to discuss the service. There is a new lady. She doesn't understand much. She seems to be trying to learn. Previous visits tho it's always been the lady from the back who takes my order. So she is running back and forth to not burn people's food. Which some may seem as rude, but I just think she is concerned about the food quality. Overall: Give this place a try! It will NOT disappoint at all!!

The food here is amazing!!! If you want an authentic Korean restaurant, look no further. For service, please remember that the lovely lady who runs it is Korean and she is not the overly attentive server that is typical of American restaurants. The food comes out quick and hot. I go out of my way to come here when I crave good Korean food.

I dined in here twice and both experiences were bad. We had the same server both times and she treated us like we wasn’t welcome. First time we went people who came in after us but got the same thing got their good first. Then when I asked for a drink the lady slammed the things she had on the table and stormed off as if she didn’t hear me. Me being who I am. I was like okay and let it go but my BestFriend got her attention and told her that was very rude and asked for a drink for me. Second time we went she didn’t even ask us what we wanted to drink and just brought everyone at the table water. As if we can’t afford to get everyone a drink. Then she continued to be rude & I finally spoke up and another lady came to the table after I complained that she was being rude and she had the audacity tell me she wasn’t being rude that just how she is & tried to tel me my experience as if she was me. My best friend is white with mixed kids and Im black. I guess she hated that part. You shouldn’t treat people bad based on their skin color. We pay well over $100 whenever we went there and still wasn’t treated like less. I will never go there again. They don’t deserve my money. Especially since they racist and treat black people how they do and act as if she hated to see my with a white woman whose been my BestFriend for 10 years. We’re family at this point. So if you mistreat me you mistreat her and we felt that mistreated both times we went. Do better.!

Asiana Garden is by far THE best korean food I've had in memphis. I stopped in for lunch before heading to the airport. I'm super happy that I stopped in to try their Korean food. I enjoyed bulgogi with banchan. Served with lettuce wraps Upon my request. The banchan included cabbage Kimchi, cucumber kimchi and 3 other banchan dishes. The customer service was good. The atmosphere was good, the food was beyond delicious! Each time I'm in memphis this will be my go-to for korean food! Kudos to Asiana Gardens! Your korean food is amazing!!!!!

From the the waitress giving personal one on one interactions with the serving of my kids' soup in each of their bowls, to making sure our request for No Garlic beef fried rice was granted to my eldest for allergy purposes, this restaurant is a diamond that we will be visiting for many occasions to come. This is ours first time visit at labor day. The food was so good but too spicy. We asking the lady first she said not so spicy turn out it's really spicy and make us to had diarrhea after ate it. we try Haemul jjigae (spicy seafood combination stew), haemul pajeon (korean pancakes), doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and house fried rice. We wait 1 hour for the food to come out, it's really slow. only 1 lady working in front. she not refills ours drink , She charge gratitude 18% for the tips. bad service and the price is pricey. I don't like to give a bad review but that's really bad experience for us.

Some of the best Korean food I've had since I lived in Korea. My only complaint is they could have given us a little more kimchi with our meal so that we didn't have to ask for more.

Single waitress, she tells everyone that ordering will take long and food will be ready no earlier than 40 min.. This is after I called 30 minutes prior to I arrived. Too much msg in there food. Ridiculous rule about serving their side dish with main course. I understand that this is Tennessee, but come on. Any other city these kind of restaurant don't last a month.

First time trying, AMAZING KOREAN FOOD. Nice, clean, warm, inviting restaurant. The hot pot with the potatoes sooo good. The lunch special bulgogi you'll never want to stop ordering this. I’ve been coming here for over 20yrs and I can’t believe this is my first review… this is by far the only Korean restaurant I consider to come and recommend to anyone even though we have very few here in town. Food is always on point and never have failed me. It is as authentic as it can get and yes I’m 100% Korean 😆. Amazing service every time as you would if you are in Korea. Variety of menu items unlike specialty focused restaurant and there’s not one menu item I tried and didn’t like it. Don’t focus on those Reviews based on their own first time experience here but instead try to understand what I said about this place that I’ve been consistently coming once or twice a week for last 20yrs. You won’t able to get authentic Korean food anywhere in town beside Asiana garden.

I’ve been to S Korea 20+ times. This is my favorite time Korean restaurant in Memphis. Just had the best grilled mackerel tonight ever here. Always the best. Plus at the other end of the center is where I buy my Korean groceries.

I use to come here often th food and prices were excellent. I bought some vegetables fried rice the price was way to high and the rice tasted awful. The service on the other hand was very good. I won't be coming back again. Btw I asked for extra vegetables on the side and they gave me two side dishes which were better than the rice.

I am so food happy! I love good Bulgogi! Yum, yum! Enjoy! The pork was perfectly cut and minimal fat, the sauce was not too spicy for my wife (2 star), I like spicier, but I was wonderful. All side dishes were excellent. Daeji Bulgogi, and the kimchi are awesome!
