One of the best indian restaurants in ATX, especially their biryani.

The taste was terrible, and the cook showed absolutely no interest in preparing vegetarian dishes.

My bf and I loved this place for a long time, but our last visit put us off forever. I mentioned my food was really spicy, but the waitress and chef tried to convince me it wasn’t and gaslight me, even though it had chili peppers in it…The chef was rude and defensive instead of trying to make it right. I was nearly in tears because of how bad it was. They refused to remake the dish and charged us in full, even though I sent it back. Horrible service. It’s sad because we were big fans and even left great reviews before and told everyone about them. Super disappointing.

I've wanted to try Indian food for a while, my husband and I decided on a random Monday to finally try it. I'm so glad we went here. The staff was so kind and answered our questions, was fine with how long it took me to settle on a dish. The staff started the experience off delightfully. The food was amazing. I loved the flavor, the beautiful presentation, and the amount was more then we could eat. To me, their skill shown in things like their perfectly cooked rice (it was tasty on its own) and the tenderness of the meat. But the flavors have made this a new favorite. I will be back, and I hope you will check them out.

Had 24 hours in Austin and so glad I found this place. Best Indian food I've had. I ordered the chicken korma. Very generous portion, couldn't finish it all in one sitting. I'll be back.

We ordered onion pakoda which costs 8$ and they gave us honestly less than 6 pieces -wish they honor prices and give good quantity.

They added a tip to my bill and charged my card without informing me. This lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable. Make sure to check your bill carefully if you decide to dine here. When I called the restaurant about this, they admitted it was their fault but said they can't do anything about it

We went out for Dosa and Idli on Sunday, June 6th -2024 We used to frequent this place before COVID when it had a different owner. Although they have improved the interior seating and other aspects, the service was poor. When we were ready to order, I asked for a Masala Dosa and my husband wanted Idli. The waiter informed us that they didn't have Idli. My husband then tried to order another type of Dosa, but the waiter said they didn’t have that either. I asked why these items were on the menu if they weren't being served. We had some questions about different Dosa options, but the waiter had no answers and just said, "I don’t know." At least he was honest. I requested my Masala Dosa with the masala on the side, but it was served stuffed inside. The Dosa tasted bad. My husband ordered Masoor Dosa, which was also not good, and the chutneys were terrible. The waiter never came back to check if we needed anything else. The Sambar tasted like Daal, and I left half of my Dosa and the Sambar untouched. I usually enjoy going out to Indian restaurants for Dosa, but this was our first and last time at this place. Sunday evening was ruined, and we won’t be returning.

Ordered via Uber Eats. Despicable food, to say the least. Chicken in all chicken dishes - Chicken Tikka Masala, Malai Kebab as well as Schezwan Noodles was uncooked. Each piece of Butter Nan was unevenly cooked (and thus, raw portions at several places). Side note - Not my concern but made the delivery person from Uber wait for more than an hour. Very disappointing, overall. I urge the owners to pay some attention. Adding proof of order as a picture of the bill.

Okay ish vegetable biriyani (too many raw spices) or Gobi 65 (was slightly uncooked )

Since when tandoori chicken is wet and with gravy drizzled on it. It was a big disappointment. The chicken had an unpleasant odor. I have never seen a tandoori chicken cooked like this. Absolutely disappointing. I have frequently visited your restaurant before the pandemic, never saw tandoori chicken in this form and taste. Over powering hotch potch of marinate flavor.

2024: Haven't been in the building a while but still get take out frequently. Interior has been updated and looks great and the food is still the best Indian I've had. Literally everything is phenomenal. Original: Hands down the best Indian cuisine in town. The lunch buffet is so good and has so much variety. Well worth it.

We loved this restaurant 5 years ago, when they catered our son & DIL’s wedding. Didn’t think the food could get better, but it has! The staff is very professional & attentive, too. This is now our fav Indian restaurant in the Austin & San Antonio area. We look forward to coming back when we’re next in “town”.

Food was good, but not telling about group charges upfront was a downside, we were 15 group but different family, we ate our own ordered dishes, still why the extra service charge was levied on us, advise to tell upfront if you are going to charge extra due to the group , that was NOT expected..... Thank you for courtesy gulab jamun but the previous thing need to be taken care of.

Items were decent. Chicken was a little undercooked. I would recommend to go with noodles and fried rice.

Mutton biryani was awesome!! It reminded me of Awadhi style biryani. Flavor, texture everything about biryani was awesome. Also I loved paneer kulcha and vegetable pakora. Food and service were excellent. However, the restaurant needs to improve their restrooms.

Had lunch portion of chicken korma. It was delicious and tender the platter is really nicely presented on metal platters and comes with other sides and dessert. Good portions and great value. I love the remodel. It has a good modern vibe now. The wait staff were excellent.

I went to dinner at Asian today for the first time. The food was good and the service was excellent. Ali recommendation of dishes was spot on and I liked all the food. Ali had an excellent service and he was really attentive.

We came here after a long time and was surprised with the fast service and delicious food served by Ali and Ana.

Taste of the masala dosa, potato filling and accompanying coconut chutney was fresh and exquisite - spice level well balanced. The vegetable samosas were delicious and different from what I have had in other restaurants - crisp and not drenched in oil at all! The waiters, especially Ali, were efficient, attentive to individual requests and most courteous.

The best Indian Food in Austin, in my opinion. Their Cauliflower 65, saag paneer, and tikka masala are incredible. We get take out from here a couple times a month and absolutely love this place. Haven't dined in so can't rate the atmosphere. My only suggestion is for them to switch to all compostable packaging, but we do reuse their plastic containers, as they're pretty durable. We had lunch here after more than a few months, and were pleasantly surprised by the new decor, ambience, music, food, and service. They have redone the interior and have rehashed their menu, which has selections from both north and South Indian cuisines. The food was not overly spicy, yet delicious. Their lunch special Thalis are good for more than a meal, with saag paneer, naan a dish of your choice and a surprise vegetable selection of the day. The dosa came with gunpowder and ghee along with the usual Sambhar and chutneys. All in all, we had a great experience, including the ambience and quality of service. Would highly recommend the place if you haven’t been here in a while.

I recently visited this restaurant with a tight schedule, arriving close to their closing time. However, I had called them 45 minutes prior to ask if they could accommodate us, and they kindly agreed. Despite the late hour, the staff warmly accommodated us and even kept the kitchen open. Their kindness and dedication ensured we enjoyed a delightful meal, including flavorful dishes like veg pakora, cheese chilli naan, kulcha, panned tikka masala, and veg tikka masala. Throughout our dining experience, the team consistently checked on us, enhancing the overall satisfaction. It was truly a great experience dining at this establishment, and I highly recommend it for both the delicious food and exceptional service.

I ordered the lamb curry. The lamb had no flavor to it and left a disgusting after taste. The curry was runny full of oil. Not sure if this was old but this will be their last time pulling something like this on me because it wasn’t the first. Ordered garlic nan and was disappointed with that as well. Very hard and tasted nothing like garlic. I use to frequent this restaurant often before the pandemic & it’s very sad to see the direction the food has gone. Asiana in Austin ¹consistantly serves excellent Indian fare! And the combination platter graciously suggested by Anna, our server, was exactly what the doctor ordered! As usual, the vegetables were cooked to a turn, the naan bread was hot and fresh, the Sang Paneer is THE best in the city and the goat and lamb Korma offerings are unparalleled. As a long time patron, my only regret is that their legendary buffet is no longer available to enlighten all to their wonderful dishes!

I did my catering from here for my college’s cultural festival and the food was very delicious. Biryani was very yummy and the chicken lollipops were very flavorful.All of my friends and professors loved the food. I will definitely recommend everyone to try this restaurant and check out their indian flavors.

My favorite Indian restaurant got even better! Love the new remodel. The return of the dosa! Amazing malai kofta and Saag lamb. Goat and more. The garlic naan, I could eat it all day. Generous portions of everything and super helpful staff. Some of our party hadn't been there and had questions and the waitress was awesome. Love Asiana.

Disappointed. Visited this restaurant after several years and not sure if the owners have changed. The quality and taste of food was sub-par. Out of all that we ordered, chicken biryani tasted ok. Naan was too dry and thick and unpalatable. Kadai paneer lacked its peculiar flavor, it was more like paneer tossed in a onion-tomato curry.

Best Indian Food in South Austin, maybe in Austin as a whole. I love Indian food and am so happy this place exists in South Austin. We almost always order to-go, but the food is outstanding. We do always over order because I can't decide what I want to eat and what to save for next time (hint, never save for next time). All of the curries do come with rice, so keep that in mind if you want to order naan bread. You just end up with TONS of carbs and not enough delicious curry and sides. Huge fan of the Kashmiri naan and all of the lamb delicious are spectacular. I hope this place never closes, never moves, and never changes. Asiana fan for life. Update: 3/18/2024 I wish I didn't have to write this update, but things have seemed to really go downhill since the new ownership took over. I have ordered a few times from Asiana and the flavors, execution just aren't there like they used to be. I ordered a few month back and the when I called about an issue, the response was "our main chef doesn't work on Tuesdays" and was offered a refund for my entree onto my CC, which never actually happened. I understand that restaurants have off days and decided to try it again last night, a Sunday. Both my wife and I were unhappy with our curries overall and agreed we'd not come back. Her chicken tikka masala tasted mostly of cream with almost no spice and my lamb roganjosh, a dish I've had 20+ times, didn't even looked properly cooked down, nor was it the right color. In my experience, roganjosh is more of a red color whereas last night it was very brown, the tomatoes were not cooked down, and there was no spice to it. Really sad to see a great restaurant go downhill. Will try the new place that used to be run by this chef.

Just stopped over for a quick bite on our way to Dallas. Ordered two platters and amazed with quality and meal portion. It is not just like other restaurants with lot of cream, butter,oil or added color. They are serving real Indian home cooked food with balance of flavors and spices. Is restaurant ko 5* to banta hai. Staff is very good and friendly. KC is here today evening and loved her service. Thank you

Paneer butter masala was good, malai kofta was okay, had too much coconut, daal makhani tasted stale, but garlic naan and paneer kulcha were good, also the service was good. So over good to try.

After picking a car up at the nearby Carvana, we went in search of Indian food. We do not have any Indian restaurants near us, so we were thrilled to find Asiana just a few minutes around the corner. The service was amazing. Our waiter was very friendly and took the time to explain the dishes to us. He accommodated my dietary needs by making a few changes in the menu items. The food was just as amazing as the service. It did not disappoint and anytime we are within an hour of Austin we will go back. 💚💚💚

I recently found this place. It was a perfect blend of authenticity and delightful. You will get a taste of indian spices when you enter the place. My server was really good. She explained all of the dishes and even made recommendations. The food was amazing. I really enjoyed the food with Indian music being played. 10/10

The food is just 🤌. I kid you not, they are the best Biryani hub at Austin. Navaratan Korma was too good as well…creamy, well spiced and delicious. And the service was very good. I remember KC, our server was very sweet and she made sure we were comfortable before taking our order, also, she recommended the finest dishes of the place. I loved the food, the service and the ambiance of the place. 10/10 must visit place for me…check out this place when you have a chance!

Dont know how good their food is because their host/waitress said she couldn't serve us because they were "almost closed." We came in at 9:30, they dont close until 10. We wouldn't have taken more than 30 mind to eat, FOR SURE. Just looking for a quick bite and would have tipped generously if it weren't for being turned away. Sad, I was craving Indian food :(

We were excited due to some of the recent reviews but we walked out really dissatisfied. We had chicken tikka masala, but it wasn’t good at all, it tasted watered down and it had no flavor nor salt. I love Indian food but this place has been so far my biggest disappointment and me being so shy I didn’t send the dish back.

The food was great but the highlight was rishi. He was so kind and just an all around good human! Really attentive service throughout our dinner and really appreciated the level of attention! We will be back!

Naan was great, matter paneer was tasty, samosas hit the spot. However, the butter chicken was absolutely forgettable with a mildly flavored broth and large cubes of chicken which were dry despite residing in a broth?? It seemed most of the stuff is pre-made and heated to order. Service was good, atmosphere was meh. Overall, for the price, it is a good place to stop and fill up. This place is average at best, and I was quite disappointed due the expectations I had based on the seemingly stellar ratings.

Place was very clean and the staff were amazing. Answered any questions I had and very friendly. And the food was fabulous. I had the samosas, saag paneer, and chicken curry, and will definitely be back.

Rishi was the most knowledgeable sherpa we could have for dinner. He was very attentive & helped us with everything that we could possibly need. 6 outta 5!

Rushi made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed the Parle-G cookies with our masala tea and Rushi made some wonderful suggestions for us. We got to try so many good things. The Tikka sauce and korma are so delicious - milder but full of flavor. Our dishes came with mountains of naan, rice, saag, vegetable of the day, and a little soaked donut for dessert. The service was the best. We'll be back!

Celebrated a birthday at Asiana last night and it was fantastic! The food is wonderful and the staff was incredible. This is already a favorite of ours and with the recent renovation, it’s very pretty and comfortable. Highly recommend!

This spot right here has the most amazing food and you will know the moment you enter!! I had my favorite dish, Dal Tadka, when I tell you it was out of this world, I mean it!! Try the hot and sour soup for sure!! The garlic Naan was the best I've ever had! Our service was even better if you can imagine!! Rishi(I hope this is the correct spelling) was the most gracious host and we could not have been happier!! Thank you!!

We've been dining here for about 10 years. The food and service have always been exceptional. Management recently changed and with it the quality of the food improved and the dining area remodeled. Today's experience was our best yet and worthy of bragging about. The food is always fresh and authentic. If you like a variety of meats, I recommend ordering the Mughlai Special Dinner for two. You also can't go wrong with Chicken 65. The dinner is the best value for your money and it comes with dessert ...get the mango ice cream, they make it in-house.

We first tried Asiana during the pandemic and fell into the habit of ordering to-go from them ever since. We decided to go in-person a few days ago on a whim and we had the most delightful experience! The service was wonderful and everyone was super warm and welcoming. Our server, Rushi, who had the friendliest energy, recommended that we try a dish called Gobi Manchurian. We gave it a go and were blown away by how flavorful and savory it was! We never would have tried it without his recommendation and now we'll never not order it. We also ordered the Shrimp Dynamite (the shrimp were cooked to perfection) and the Saag Paneer with garlic naan which really hit the spot. 10/10 recommend visiting Asiana and asking your server what they recommend if you're not sure what to get or want to branch out.

Took my girlfriend here on a Tuesday. We both went home full and happy with leftovers too. The food was amazing! The Gobi appetizer was spicy and delicious- generous portion. My goat biryani was great. Her chicken dish was good too. Our server, Rishi, was really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Very nice guy.
