I ate there recently a friend recommended it. The service was exceptional and the food was outstanding.

Unexpected gem! Super friendly wait staff. The pancakes are literally as big as the plate. The tater babies were great. And they have gluten free bread!

Just had the best cheeseburger I’ve had in quite a while. The tater babies are PHENOMENAL. If you’re up for dessert, they have buttermilk walnut pie. Yes, please!!

Amazing food, generous portions, excellent service. Everything was home made and fresh. And the Buttermilk Walnut Pie was super delicious.

Great little place. Great service. My burger was great, but half my fries were literally raw potato and no salt on them. I suspect this was just a fluke. Ill be back next time I need to get food otw to Missoula!

My Son and I drive over to Avon Family Cafe from Helena ever chance we have 👍. The food is delicious home cooked meals and each pot of coffee ☕️ is made from freshly ground coffee beans. The local people who own and serve each order are kind and greet you like you are family when you walk through the door! We wish they were in Helena so we could go more often 💕💕🎯🎯🎯🎯

I was brought to this cafe after i had just gotten rescued from my truck after it rolled over on the side of the us141 the emergency employee took me there to wait for the highway patrol but the lady who was the cashier was outstanding with her customer service skills i’ve traveled across the us a lot but never in my entire career time have i ever been to a cafe like this one here props to them and i hope to come back someday when my truck gets fixed. Best hospitality i’ve ever experienced much love to the owners and the community out their in Avon County Montana

Wonderful breakfast. Biscuits and gravy were delightful-nice fluffy biscuits. Corned beef hash was delicious, as were the hash browns. Just what you’d expect in a family diner. We’ll be back.

Best breakfast ever, and the pie is to die for.

We were on holiday in Montana from Scotland, and were passing through Avon on our way to Glacier national Park, having seen the reviews of this place we decided to give it a go, so glad we did. We arrived at 1.50 not realising it was due to close at 2 pm, but Sue who was working the tables told us to sit down and take our time, no rush. Food was excellent, as was the service, we got key lime pie to go which was fantastic. A great place to stop for breakfast or lunch, the only thing I would recommend is to advertise more before you arrive there, as we drove by it, and had to turn back. Apart from that, no complaints.

A Montana must stop and eat. Good family food with the best desserts this side of France! Do not miss the walnut pie or the best cinnamon roll ever. The food is traditional Montana with large portions. Eat like a local, and you'll understand why this place is a little bit of heaven when traveling over McDonald Pass.

Ordered take out of hamburger soup and pasty around lunchtime, on 4th June 2022, while driving north from Galveston, TX, to Tuktoyaktuk, NT Canada. The soup was fantastic. The pasty was average - even salsa could not make it tasty.

This place is so homey and the staff treat you like family even if you aren’t a local. Every time I walk in the smell brings me back to simpler times and reminds me of a cabin resort I used stayed at while growing up. Make sure you save room for dessert!

While on the road trip saw this place and decided to stop by and have a quick meal. It's just a simple shack that had some SUPER AMAZING food. Most of the desserts are made in house. I ended up getting a simple 2 egg and biscuit breakfast and a vanilla cheese cake slice. wow! They also had some amazing local artists works for sale.

What a nice surprise to find this restaurant on our drive between Helena and Missoula. The service was great and the food was delish. I think that may have been the best Huckleberry milkshake I've ever had. Everything tasted homemade; you can't beat that.

Good vibes. Immaculate grilled chicken. Local art for sale on the wall. Delicious BLT (add an egg on top for a level up). The ambiance is homelike, you’ll hear the staff greet folks by name when they walk in. You have to love it.

This place is always amazing! I always stop here on my way to Missoula or back and they never disappoint. The service is great, everyone is so friendly, and the food is awesome. You always get way more than you can eat and it's definitely affordable. Plus they have local artist's pictures on the wall you can buy if anything catches your eye! A must stop if you're driving through!

Always delicious meals here. Rural and homey cabin like setting with country western flavor. Good service, friendly, clean. I had a cheeseburger with homemade tomato soup that was gluten free. My friend celebrating her 95th birthday had a dinner salad and toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Everything cooked perfectly and nicely presented. Delicious decaf coffee with reasonable prices!

Great food and very friendly, helpful staff. We really enjoyed the bacon and cheddar burger, plus the fries were homemade and delicious. We also had a grilled ham and cheese with a salad that was fresh and tasty. The best part - isn't it always! - was the Huckleberry Shake for dessert. It was sweet and creamy and one of the best shakes we've had! We look forward to visiting again.

One of those places you call hidden gems or a sleeper. Food was good and Danya our waitress was a joy. Lemon blueberry pie was fantastic.

Stopped in here on our way home from Glacier. We are so glad we did. This cafe is older but clean and the food was delicious. My son got the philly sandwich and my husband got the brisket sandwich and both said they were one of the best they’ve eaten. Our waitress was just the sweetest and we will stop by again if we find ourselves out this way. One added bonus is that if you are traveling with your trailer there is enough space for you to park.

Oh my goodness, this place is absolutely amazing. We stumbled upon it while looking for a place to eat during a drive, and aren't we glad we did. Everything we had was absolutely terrific, it was fresh, cooked to order, and amazing. Had never had tater babies before but they were awesome. Great menu, good portion sizes, and reasonable prices. Don't skip out on dessert either, we split a piece of pie and it was so good, we got another (and a cinnamon roll) to go. On top of all of that, the waitress and cook were just super nice people, really pleasant and friendly. One of the better places we've been in a while! If you're driving through, stop by even if only for dessert, you won't regret it.

For anyone born before 1990, you might remember the diners and family restaurants that made communities special through the amazing food they created. The menu didnt change, nor did the staff or customers. It was quality and you couldnt find the taste anywhere else. That's exactly what this cafe is. If you're fortunate enough to have the opportunity to eat here, do it. And if you can return, do it again. These are the types of establishments worthy of our support. Because once they're gone they dont come back. I consider myself fortunate to have shared a dining experience here with my family. 10/10, the best.

Good food, reasonable prices, clean bathrooms, great service. We will keep this in mind for our next Glacier vacation. Oh, if you turn the menu over, you can still get breakfast. Sausage scramble hit the spot. Coffee was great. I turned it down, but was offered a to go cup for more coffee on the road.

I love this place. I've been going there for probably twenty years, give or take. When I'd go over the Pass regularly I always stopped in for caramel rolls - they got so they'd begin packaging up a couple when I walked in the door. Great staff - great food - what else could a person ask for?

Great friendly atmosphere. Like any small town Cafe good food great price. Easy off and on access from highway 12. Lots of parking and large enough to accommodate larger gatherings. If you are in the area and want a great meal stop in and say hello. I love having the biscuits and gravy but bring an appetite. It's a larger portion at 3 biscuits and not for the faint of heart. I also had to have the hash browns and sausage gravy as well as a side. Yummmm
