I go here 2-3 days per week for lunch. Food is delicious and well priced. The lamb plate is my go to, no clue how gets the lamb so tender. The owner is super friendly and clearly cares about his customers and you can tell how popular he and his food is by the number of people who walk past and say hello to him. If he moved his cart to another part of town, I'd seriously consider finding a new job in that area.

Amazing food with great service and a great price. Awafi was close to my hotel so gave a try and really enjoyed it. I’d recommend it anyone looking for a good bite to eat.

Absolutely delicious food! 10/10 would eat again. Also, the tzatziki sauce was fantastic - definitely one of the best versions I've ever eaten!

This place is tucked away in a corner. However, the guy takes pride in what he makes and the food is very well made. If in need of a burger, I only go there

Just finished eating the falafel plate. The falafel was crispy on the outside and tender--not mushy-- on the inside. The vegetables were fresh, the garlic and hot sauces were just the right balance without overpowering the falafel. The owner was friendly and service oriented. If I lived in this area, I'd come back every week!

Awafi is a great food truck. The falafel is superb and always fresh. I appreciate all the different options. I have enjoyed everything I've ordered from here. Good prices, vegetarian options and friendly service. There is a reason they have such a high rating on Google Maps. I can't recommend Awafi enough.

Was here a few weeks ago and had the BEST meal. I chatted a little with the owner, I believe his name is Ali. The owner Ali does everything and runs the entire business. As he was cooking, I was looking at his kitchen/cooking setup. The place is kept extremely organized and clean. He had very clean preparation, used gloves, things were kept in the refrigerator until need, all the produce was fresh. The tomatoes were ripe and the lettuce was green and crisp. A lot of middle eastern places I go to have the rice as an afterthought where the rice may be dry or overcooked, but Awafi's rice was soft and fluffy and perfect. The Tzatziki was creamy and garlicky and full of flavor. We ordered a lamb plate and a chicken plate. The lamb was spiced well and delicious, but the real standout was the chicken. Some crispy and soft bits and it went so well with the rice and veggies. Ali gave us a baklava when he heard I was from Hawaii and went out of my way to try them out. The baklava was so good! Soft delicate crispy layers and an intense and sweet center. It all was held together with the gooey sticky sweet topping. You can tell the effort that is put into this business with how good the ingredients and food is. I wish Awafi's was close to where I lived, I'd be going there at least once a week haha.

Discovered this place at lunch and got the Kofta plate with Tzatziki! Amazing! So good in fact, I went back and got the same plate for dinner!

Really amazing taste. Looks like it’s made fresh. One of the best food truck foods I have had. Add hot sauce and get taziki sauce. Visiting Portland for a couple days but I will be back here any chance I get.

I got the lamb plate this time, as always full of flavors and delicious, I've tried few of their other dishes and honestly its always good and really appetizing to look at. The owner is always super friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in to try the lamb gyro, grabbed some baklava and fries with it - fast, great service, awesome prices. I had one night left in town and was impressed to the point of returning before they closed the same night to buy more. Can’t wait to come back again

I always get the Falafel Saj and it is excellent!! Highly recommend. You can't go wrong with whatever you decide to order. Everything is made fresh to order, always. Even if there is a wait it is very worth it! The owner is extremely friendly, hardworking, and takes immense care in his food. The pistachio baklava is also exceptionally delicious.

Awafi is the best Mediterranean food in Portland. Freshest ingredients, best thinly sliced lamb, and the best service. I have tried close to ten different gyros in Portland and Awafi is the best by a long shot. Fantastic food.

Absolutely delicious, brings me back to my childhood days. My best friend growing up was a Lebanese immigrant, and his mother always cooked the most delicious meals and invited me to stay to eat with them. I feel the same friendliness and hospitality from this place as I did back then.
