Went there for years and the new owners changed it . The sauce taste like they put something spicy in it. Been going there since 1981. Will not be going back

This time I only came in to ask just for sauce and dough so I could have a pizza party with my kid and make pizza at home. They were super friendly and sold me enough to make 2 pizzas. Great friendly service and my kid had a blast.

I have been going to babe's pizzas since I was little in my opinion the best pizza ever the management and the employees all very friendly and nice

Well, end of an era....we have been coming here for almost 30 years....you used to have to line up at the door 10 min before opening just to fight for a seat.....we were there today and the place was empty an hour -2 hours after opening....there was 1 other rable of people....the double decker looked the same but definitely did not taste the same.....thats the new taste I guess.....not the same......not as good.....maybe the empty restaurant is an indicator......hope you can get back to the original taste back.....if the recipe is the same then the cooks need to be trained.....

I've heard about this place for a while. The pizza was great, just like the New York hand toss I used to get else where. We got the 14" pizza and the small salad. The salad is just a basic salad, the house dressing was good. The back parking lot is small, and the decor inside was red, white, and black. It was very outdated and tired looking. Our server was very nice. She seemed to have some regulars there she knew them. I will go back for the pizza, I just might take it as a takeout instead.

Sadly I’ve given this place their last chance. Babes has been a Brandon institution for years but my how things have changed. The new owners have changed everything that made this place unique. Sauce is horrible and the crust is salty and dry. I’m done wasting anymore money here. Too many better choices

Sonal was the best server made us feel like family and this was our first visit .The Greek salad, meatballs, garlic bread and double decker pizza are a most. They even made a thin crust pizza for my son and it was amazing. Their sauce is delicious. All the staff works together to make everything perfect. Thank you for a yummy dinner.

Haven’t had Babes in a very long time. Decide to get a large Babes Special single decker to go last night. I would have been better off getting a frozen pizza. Crust was super thin as were the toppings. It was more like a thin crust Pizza Hut pizza only a lot less toppings for a lot more money. (A lot less toppings and a lot more money.) Yeah. It might be called Babes but it’s not. If you’ve never been to the real Babes and have nothing to compare it to, if you have money to burn on over priced food, if you like only a few topping on your pizza then this is the place for you. If you prefer more bang for your buck go to Mellow Mushroom, or buy a frozen Red Barron Supreme. Your wallet and hungry stomach will thank you and you won’t be at home looking at a skinny pizza asking yourself, “What the $&@/ is this?”

Been coming to this place for years. They now have new owners. It took a bit but they are now serving what we have always loved. Great atmosphere and food. Really glad we didn’t lose this spot in Brandon.

I went to Babe’s pizza because I’ve never been there before. Heard great things. We got there about 6:30pm and ordered pizza,Greek salad, coke, and sweet tea. We got the salad a few minutes later and the lettuce looked 3 days old with minimal toppings. Then at 7:50pm with no pizza decided to leave and asked for the check. Waitress said she asked “14 times “ about the pizza with no answer. So we paid for the drinks and nasty salad and was walking out the door when she said pizza is ready…no thanks and will never go back here again. Poor experience all around.

Been living in Brandon for 20 years and always heard about Babe's Pizza, but never tried it. So, the wife and I decided to try it on a Friday evening. The first thing that snapped my neck back was the Price!!! Over $60 for just two 14" pizzas! ($3.00 per topping!!! Really???) To add insult to injury, we ended up waiting over and hour! Good food is always, worth the wait... right? Well, this wasn't! Look at the picture of our pepperoni Pizza. How many pepperonis do YOU see?? Didn't taste all that great either. Like I said, this is a very popular place in Brandon; but not for us. We are ONE AND DONE!

Ordered for delivery at our hotel. Food tasted terrible. I can taste the fridge on the wings. A $12 sub was literally bread with one slice of salami, the amount of food for the price is a total rip off. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Been eating at Babe's since the late 90s. Just as good, even better, since they changed ownership. Owner is extremely nice and very kind to my young children. Meatball appetizer is excellent.

Price was way up there, I had a 12" pie and a pitcher of beer plus a glass and a salad, before tip was $55.

A Brandon classic. It's been here for years and offers a great tasting pizza. We ordered some wings, a med pizza with sausage, green pepper, and mushrooms. The pizza was really good. The service was excellent... but as with anything, prices are much higher than before. The toppings were there, but only a sprinkle in the middle, we had to LOOK for the sausage. The green pepper and mushrooms were there, but certainly not worth the cost per additional item. There is nothing worse than paying extra for topings, and you get so few. Disappointed and no plans to return.

This food sucks, don’t waste your money

Been coming since I was a kid ,watch babes change owners but the pizza is as good as it has always been . Sonal waits on us and is always happy to see us as we are her.

Babes has always been a favorite of our family’s for years. We stopped in for a double decker and a Greek salad and Sunal our server was awesome and food was delicious as always!

First timer here. Beer was cold. Salad was good size with tastey homemade house dressing. Single layer pizza was AWESOME. Service was great. Had a wonderful experience! We’ll be back for sure. Very fair pricing. Back home in Ohio this would have been a $75 meal.

Haven't been back since the previous owners sold it, whom I've know forever. My family was in town and I wanted them to try it. We ordered 3 of the double deckers. One was basically the hwy 60 one, (same toppings) I think the pizza needed a little more sauce and a little more veggies on it. It def did not look like the picture posted. Miss the train......

Ordered a calzone got home and it was burnt all over top and bottom. And it was so dry and tasteless. Sauce for dipping was very spicy not good at all. Never going back. And the cook didn't know Jim and James is the same name, had to find order and it was sitting there all along!

BABES HAS FINALLY REDEEMED THEMSELVES!!! We have been enjoying babes’s pizza for 30 years under original ownership when the new owners came in a few years ago and changed recipes suppliers. It all went down. I had seen the pizza be put in a warmer because the waitresses were too busy talking. I’ve ordered extra on my salad and get two more pepperoni as opposed to a Side dish of pepperoni I’ve had to go orders that were absolutely awful… After four or five tries, we completely gave up. However, we did go in this week for one more go around and let me tell you the pizza was magnificent hot service was great. And I’m happy to say that we will be back for sure!!!

Amazing pizza! Exactly how I remember it when I was younger! It was a bit nostalgic seeing the restaurant that has been around since before I was born is still up and running and not a thing has changed!! I went with my mom and my family and seeing a smile on my mom’s face as well as the taste of the pizza took her back to her jr. high days was really nice! great pizza! And as always an amazing stop to get a classic double decker pizza with a side of nostalgia!

Great experience. I have not been to Babes in 30+ years. My parents used to order from here and my friends and I used to come here after school when I went to McLane. Pizza just as I remember it and love sharing this experience with my grown kids and husband. Worth the drive from Apollo Beach. Thank you for the great pizza.

I’ve been going here for 28yrs and just visited again tonight! It is a memorable pizza and worth getting the double decker for sure! I ordered ham, mushrooms, and onions and oh so tasty!! I’ve been eating pizza from Babe’s since I was a kid growing up in South Tampa. Although the owners have changed, the food hasn’t. I stopped in earlier today to pick up my take out order .. double decker & antipasto salad. The restaurant was open for less than an hour so I was the only customer in the restaurant at the time. The owner took time to chat with me while I waited on my pizza to come out of the oven. She recognized my name even though my last three orders were placed through DoorDash. She was happy to put a face with my order. The owners like to know their repeat customers just as the previous owners did as well. A lot of work has gone into updating the place since the new owners bought Babe’s. Although I had no problem with the way it used to look, it definitely looks nicer. The pizza is just as good as it’s been my whole life. Tonight I tried something new .. the double decker Babe’s special but I had sausage added. I usually get double decker sausage & pepperoni which I love, but the Babe’s special is my new go to favorite. If you are looking for pizza (not a chain brand) give Babe’s a try. The double decker is a must. I definitely DONT RECOMMEND ordering Chicago style pizza because you’ll no doubt be disappointed like the last guy since Babe’s has never offered Chicago style pizza in the 30+ years I’ve been enjoying pizza from here. The salad was also great. I look forward to my next order, and I’ll be picking it up in person again because I enjoyed the friendly conversation as I awaited my order earlier this evening.

Went last night to babes since some friends recommended the pizza. I went with some friends so they let me taste theirs. You can only buy a pie, it's not by the slice. Pizza was good, perfect amount of sauce. Just wish the pizza had that NY crunch and crust. My sandwhich was fire! I got the chicken bacon ranch hot sub and substituted the grilled chicken for the breaded chicken cutlet. Was gone in like 3 min I was so hungry. Wait was a little long but I was really hungry so take that with a grain of salt. The waitress said they are famous for their double decker pizza which takes 30/45min to cook normally, so recommend calling ahead for that one.

Wow, just wow! Erica served us, and I'll be honest she was half the experience. Her service was as great as the pizza. She recommended everything we had and I mean, she got everything on the money. The double Decker is an experience to itself so come in knowing it takes time to make but it's WORTH every penny. Thank you so much for such a great experience here. Can't wait to come back and try the rest! Would recommend.

Attempted to place an order to go but since being bought out by new owners things have changed and not in a good way. The message on the phone just continues to repeat itself and no one ever picks up to speak with. This has been the case the last 3 times that I have tried to order from here. A few months ago when I was able to get through and pick up an order it was drastically different in quantity of items on the pizza and the quality was poor at best. Sad to see this happen as I have grown up in this area and Babe's has been a part of that time fir my family,friends and I.

They never open on time. I tried to walk in after 4pm and the doors were still locked while the young lady just stood there and looked at me.

I never leave reviews, but this one I feel I just have too.. This place used to be a trademark of Brandon When you buy something like this you are supposed to keep the product the same. There’s not one think that is the same from the original Babes. Sauce is different, sausage is different,etc. The sauce is what made the pizza! All of that is gone. Never again

A friend introduced me to babe's pizza and it was the best thing ever. I had to go back for seconds to make sure it was as good as I thought it was. It is awesome if you have not tried it it's a must try. The atmosphere was amazing. The customer service was awesome.

I've been going to this place since I was a kid. The old owners were always on top of everything and that's why it was a gold mine. Now the new owners have ruined it! This place is absolutely horrible! Sinking ship! I was recently in town visiting my family and we decided to order a double decker. I called and placed the order and they told me it would be ready in 35 to 40 mins. I get there at that time and the owner rang me up and she asked the kid my status of the pizza and he said he was just throwing it in. I was extremely irritated!! They told me it wouldn't be ready for another 20 to 25 mins, so i left and came back to pick it up. Finally once I got back to eat it then I find a piece of hair in it! Absolutely disgusting! I called up there and spoke to the owner and I explained to her what happened and she tried to deny there could be a piece of hair in it because they wear baseball caps lol. I asked for a refund but she refused to give me one, and said the only thing she could do is give 50% off the for next time. I explained I didn't live there and she said that's all she could do because they made it and it cost them money to do it! I told her that's fine then I'll call my bank and get it charge back and hung up! This was poor pizza and poor customer service from the owners! They are better off opening a 7-eleven and serving pizza there! I definitely will never be back to this place ever again!

Prices are now crazy here, $17 for a “large” cheese pizza and $4.50 for soda? I went in for a pizza and drink and was shocked when I got the bill. With tip it was over $30! I’m sorry, that’s just way out of whack!

R.I.P. to the greatest pizza joint Brandon ever had. This place has gone down hill. As a military member that grew up eating Babes my whole life and employed as a teenager, I can say this place has gone FAR downhill. I just ordered my first Babes Pizza in over a year and it was the saltiest pizza I’ve ever had. The dough is much thicker than it used to be making the double decker texture feel almost soggy. The place was empty, I remember seeing this place packed as a kid to the point they had to build a waiting room on the back of the building. Tonight it was dead I was very surprised… it’s sad and I’ll miss my old Babes. The new ownership ruined this place.

Straight trash I'm sorry not sorry

Where to start, how they stay in business with hours 4-9 their pizza is not that good for one some what rude when ordering and they don't know their own menu. A bunch of teenagers working there is mostly way they don't know anything like what pizza sauce is cuz they didn't have any on my pie. The crust was good but that's the only thing I could taste . Put this young generation in charge of anything will sure crumble. Like soggy Pizza 🍕

I recently tried Babes Pizza, and I have to say, I’m not impressed. The quality of their pizzas was disappointing, especially considering the price I paid. The dough had the texture and taste of a saltine cracker, which was quite disappointing. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning as a customer. I hope they can improve their pizza in the future for a better dining experience. As a side note. You can pick up this same pizza from your neighborhood Walmart for the fraction of the price.

I grew up in Chicago so I’ve had deep dish from all the places as well as tavern style (the lesser known style of Chicago). I haven’t had NY pizza in NY BUT I have had pizza in Italy. This pizza isn’t worth the $33 (with tax). Ingredients and taste are akin to frozen pizza. The worst part is the dough. The dough I would liken to a stale saltine cracker in some parts and then a regular saltine cracker in others. Most likely due to whoever made the pizza not rolling the dough out enough to make it thinner and/or not doing a good job of making the crust even. But yeah… nothing memorable. The cheese they use is standard pizzeria cheese that doesn’t have taste. The pizza sauce tastes generic. All in all, I’d give this a 2. I’d still eat it if I was hungry like I am tonight but I won’t come back here. Carry out experience. Ordered at 5:08p. Their app said it would be ready by 5:38-5:53. It’s now 6:03p as I type this on a Saturday where there are currently 2 dine-ins who have been served and two other carry outs who are after me. I got here around 5:40p and waiting forever. Ordered the double decker babes special. I’ve had Chicago deep dish pizzas come out way faster and it’s a thicker pizza. Got my pizza at 6:05p a few minutes after I started typing this. I’m now finishing it at home.

Most pizza here in Florida isn't that great but Babes is, by far, the worst pizza I've had here in Florida. Ended up in the trash.

Don’t order pick up threw sliced for your pizza they will leave it sitting outside without ringing your door bell or following any of the delivery instructions so they will just put your food out there and leave it without making you aware your food has been dropped off/ delivered then when you tell them you don’t want food that’s been sitting outside for 30-45 minutes they will say the only thing we can do is offer 25% back on your order when I paid 70$ for some pizza lol this is ridiculous absolutely ridiculous and nobody can give me any other answers about corporate offices of anything of that nature. And then when I called babes they also couldn’t tell me anything not when it left the store or any other questions i asked absolutely ridiculous

In past, Babes would be jam-packed!! Almost couldn't even get in the door...now, there was 1 couple with 2 kids in the entire place. Staff busy on their cell phones. I got take-out. Noticed ticket when I got home said topping was "canned" mushrooms. Overall...disappointing So I saw "owner's" comment about asking for fresh mushrooms otherwise default to canned mushrooms...so I went back to review menu to see if I missed something. Nowhere does it indicate there is option to chose fresh or canned. What other options are they not listing?? Seems a bit sketchy...how would a customer know to ask for "fresh"???

My girlfriend and I went in earlier today. Had an AMAZING pizza the best I've had since I can even remember!. Had afew beers it was a nice environment with friendly staff. This is my 2nd time there and I'm going to start making it a weekly routine. 150% recommend over all mainstream pizza places !.

We've eaten at Babes for 25 yrs. Our son grew up eating there. He was in town visiting and we got a double decker for takeout. It tasted okay but the crust is different now, not the same. So he was disappointed about that. We miss the train setup, different atmosphere now.

They don’t honor the $2 coupon anymore. They also don’t make the pizza like they used to in the early 90s.

Tried it for first time and it was a good pie. The crust ( in my opinion) was perfect, lightly brown and could stay up by itself except for the very end it had a little droop. I absolutely love the crust cooked that way and they nailed it.

By far the BEST pizza. We always get the Double Decker pepperoni with extra cheese adding banana pepper rings. Yum! My parents always order Double Decker with everything but anchovies. Yum! They won't disappoint, I PROMISE!!

We used to go to Babes often years ago and were pleased that the food was just as good as we remembered. The double decker pizza is amazing and so is the Greek Salad. Service was great. We were running late and they started the pizza when we ordered ahead and had it all ready. Will definitely return again soon.
