Saturday visit was nice; just opening so not super lively but the beer was good. Like that they have a playground in back with lots of space and its dog friendly!

Very cool place. My husband enjoyed the beers. We both enjoyed the atmosphere. The music was legit. The food truck the evening we were there was some Gastro pub name that I can’t remember but the tacos were absolutely perfect and the carnitas sandwich I ordered for my husband garnered a lot of attention. Very very pleasant experience overall!

NO OUTSIDE FOOD! This is in big bold on the door with an effective date 1/1/24. What brewery does not outside food when they are not selling food directly themselves? My family was turned away at 8:30 on Friday with 2 boxes of pizza. The bar tender said we are welcome to eat in the parking lot. How about change your name to “Brew Pub” or “Back Pew Brewery & GRILL” or “& RESTAURANT” if you no longer allow outside food. No mention on google of a consistent food truck. Just silly, and now you have lost a local customer that has gone to BP over the years and bought your beer at HEB. Whatever, I will go drink at home and eat my pizza at home! Not going to give BP a second chance. Good riddance Back Pew. Rules are rules, F rules! No brewery only have I ever been to that does not allow outside food. Even breweries that have a food truck still allow outside food. Just did it 2 weeks ago at SpindleTap.

Cool local brewery here in the Kingwood / Porter area. Very family friendly, and a good selection of hand crafted drinks.

Open for a while on the Thursday flood night until they had to get staff safely home while other area businesses were closed. And open Friday afternoon and evening for our Post Traumatic Storm Depression. Proud to have BackPew as our neighborhood “go to”.

Five star brewery, beer, and vibe, but they dont allow outside food. I get it, but if you can't bring outside food, there should be more than one food truck (which is often the case).

Super laid-back, family friendly place with great beer, food trucks and - the best part for families with kids - a playground! We love to come here and relax with a drink while our little boy plays. Best brewery in Houston!

I really want to give this place a 1 star after today... My soccer team mom wanted to have our end of the year party here because she came once and loved it. I was 100% down with it since I've been many times and LOVE the place. Unfortunately as my people arrived, one of the workers came up and said we needed to spend $100 (since we were having a party) or leave, and what we had already spent doesn't count. We had already broken over $100 coming in the door... It caused more than half of our families to leave 30 minutes into our "party" because they didn't feel welcomed, and their first experience wasn't a good one. I'll keep this at a 4-star review because your bartender is AMAZING. The beer is always great, and the facility is always super clean. Hopefully, this is just a fluke and will never happen again.

Really loved this laid back and fun brewery set in the trees. Had a huge field for kids to run around plus a playground as well. Plenty of dirt for kids too. Food trucks on weekend, live music on Saturdays. Dogs welcomed! Also has a small indoor to sit and socialize if you dont want to be outside. Would give it 5 stars if they didnt have the "token" system otherwise great! We love it👍

Such a great brewery! Delicious beer and awesome environment. We love bringing our kids and having them play on the playground. The live music and food trucks are always a hit too. Definitely a family favorite!

Good beer but the bathroom situation makes visiting unenjoyable. Two Men & Women shared bathrooms inside and two Porta John’s outside. My wife spent more time in the bathroom line than she did watching the band Friday night as she spent ~ 20 minutes in the line two different times.

We love Back Pew! Great space to hang out with family, friends and pets. They have a huge outdoor area with a playground, large field, and a covered area with tables. There's also an indoor area. Awesome service and beer!

My original review continues to be accurate. Easily one of, if not the, best complete breweries in town. Fantastic space, staff, and beers. Update: expanded patio in the back and cold A/C inside on those really 'Texas' days. Very kid and pet friendly. Can't say enough good things about the place!

I tried the Hyper Light today during lunch, it was exactly what I needed to beat this heat in Houston today!!! I can’t wait to go and visit to try the other brews!!!

Staff are very knowledgeable about their beer. Huge outdoor space. Usually have live music on Saturdays and sometimes on Fridays. Dog and kid friendly place. Great place for people watching as you'll see people from all different backgrounds. They usually have one of two really good food trucks parked out back. They have some seating and tables but I recommend bringing your own folding chairs. Perfect spot to meet up with friends and grab a cold beer. Definitely rerecommend.

Maira Domangue posted a "zero" star review for the free Easter Egg Hunt hosted at Back Pew on Saturday. She admitted she was late to the event - strike one; she said there were 100 eggs with 20 million people - strike two; she said the eggs weren't even hidden - strike three! Exaggerated negative reviews are a pet peeve of mine and because I was at the event with my family, I have to respond to her blatant exaggerations. Upon arrival at the brewery well before 2:00pm, there were a lot families staking their place waiting for the event to begin. The ground was COVERED with eggs!! (Way more than 100). Any logical adult would understand there is no way to "hide" as many eggs as there were available for the children. There were a lot of kids (not 20 million) and if I had to guess, I would say around 200 - 250. Anyone who has children, knows that waiting is not something they are good at and Back Pew stayed with the posted time of the event and started promptly at 2:00pm. This is NOT an exaggeration because we timed it - it took right at a minute for the kids to scoop up all the eggs!! Standing back watching, all kids we saw had eggs in their basket with nothing but smiles. So Maira, stop blaming the business for what is obviously your poor planning.

I wish i could put 0 stars, but I can't. So they started the Easter egg hunt at 2 pm, and we made it to the place at 2:01 and NOT A SINGLE EGG! They put like 100 eggs for like 20 million people. They should have more eggs for more people and more eggs for the kids that came late. IT WASENT EVEN A EGG HUNT. THEY JUST PUT EGGS SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE AND ALL THE KIDS GET THEM! NEVER COME8NG HERE AGAIN!

I like it, but they only get 3 stars because they don't do any samples. I would have had a couple more and got some to go, but that is a, we don't respect you type of gesture.

Kingwood just got WAY more cool after finding this gem! It’s tucked away on the edge of Porter on a HUGE property with a playground, lots of patio space and fields to play on. Super good beer, too! Just needed better food options for a Saturday as we had 4 kids and they were getting hungry. We were impressed overall.

Excellent selection of beers for all tastes. Staff are friendly and know their beers. Nice stage set up outback for live music and tons of open space. Dog friendly. Usually a food truck or two onsite. Great place to people watch when there is a popular band playing. There is seating outback but it's a good idea to bring your own folding chair when it gets busy. Definitely recommend this place.

Hosted my daughters birthday party there yesterday and they went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed and supplied great service to our guests while also tending to their regular Saturday business. Definitely recommend them for events or if you just want a nice open space to enjoy some amazing beer!

Great beer, Friendly staff & sometime they have live events. Stephan & Chris are amazing and very helpful people! They went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed for my daughter's 1st birthday yesterday. Even in the rain they accommodate to make us feel comfortable warm, & dry. I recommend everyone to do parties here or just have a nice cold brew of all kinds or variety. Definitely wish I could add more then 5 stars. Most definitely family friendly & with a toddler friendly playground.

We are big fans of Back Pew. Great place to bring the family and the dog to hang out. Has a huge outdoor space with playground, food trucks, live bands and they recently added covered seating. Today they had a Chistmas market and free pictures with Santa!

Family, kid and pet friendly with lots of outdoor space. It was a bit bit warm today, we should have come earlier or much later but the atmosphere is great, the service as well, but the beer is the the star of the show. Great local brewed beer with plenty of options for everyone's taste. We will back again, especially when it gets a little cooler.

your bathroom situation is ridiculous! you are having an event with hundreds of people drinking beer, and you have TWO toilets? crazy! i later discovered four port-a-potties after waiting over 30 minutes in line for the bathroom. still, i think you need more actual first world restrooms.

Best place to hang out at on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Can't say enough good things about this joint.

Great IPAs and their Hopzuna is memorable. A bit different with their approach to purchase a glass to get a beer but have tokens too. Food truck tacos 👍 wish their live music played to the crowd in the beer garden vs an empty field which was strange

I just want to thank the owners for adding a hard seltzer to their lineup. I can sense that it's not your brewery's favorite to brew or sell. But my husband, son, and I live down the road and we get a little stir crazy sometimes. We can't stray far from home because our son is a baby. Plus we really just love the atmosphere of Back Pew. As someone who has never been a big fan of beer, it was really nice to get to join in the fun today. I hope y'all keep it on for a while! Thanks!

Tokens only for a concert event was a horrible idea as you had to wait in a 100 ft line to get a beer if you ran out of tokens and you’d been there a while. I love this place so still rated it 5 stars mainly because a bar tender even spotted me a round with tokens once. But please change that set up for the bigger events.

Love the concept of this place! The last we went during the summer, flies were everywhere outside! Despite that, the drinks and food were fantastic! Planning on returning during cooler months for less flies.

We came out for Oktoberfest this past weekend. It was a ton of fun! Even with the rain, we still had a good time. I like the token system a lot. You pay for your beer tokens at the entrance and there's two types. They had two food trucks and we had The Sauer Kraut. Every beer we tried was tasty and you can tell the staff is having a great time. Can't wait to come out and visit again!

Awesome beer in a great family - pet Friendly environment. Did I mention it is air conditioned? You might not think that is a big deal, until you visit other that are not🥵. I really enjoy their lighter pils in the heat and the Tanuki once the sun goes down. I wish they were open Thursday nights😎.

Back Pew Brewery is awesome!! Repeat ..it's awesome! Combination of live music outside with incredible beer. Food trucks with pizza, and another one with another truck with gourmet burgers. Tonight we saw Nightbird a tribute to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks .. sound and lights supplied by Texas Live Sound!! Great variety of hit songs and a few rare ones too! Most importantly the beer at a brewery has to be amazing right? Well, this place has a large variety of beers from light to dark .. if you know beer and appreciate a finely crafted brew with coffee or caramel notes .. you're going to love Back Pew Brewery. I know we do! We will be back for sure!!

Love this venue! When we arrived the hostess did not explain we had to buy tokens. That was no big deal at all. This place is extremely clean and pleasant to the eye! Restroom was spotless. This is a huge outdoor venue. Kenny Martin Band was live on stage with special guest Kenny Cooper! There is a playground and it is a kid friendly establishment! Feel free to bring your dog on a leash only. So enjoy your afternoon here bring a chair, kids, dogs, and in-laws. Pick your draft and relax. Sinners and Saints welcomed.

Amazing out door area with plenty of space. They have a two tier beer system with tokens. Normal abv beers are their "saints" with a white token and the high abv beers are the "sinners" dark token. It's a must go see with your family, bring your outdoor chairs and games to play in the grass. Plenty of space for everyone! There was a food truck here tonight and was delicious! Staff are extremely friendly and kind.

Far drive but definitely a great brewery to visit. Large selection on tap. Large outside area with plenty of social distancing. Usually have a food truck available as well.

If you haven't been to Back Pew Brewing you need to go. Black Habit is a regular thing now, Schwarzbier. Sweet Destruction she's says, but it is sweet.
