Highly recommend this winery. Noticed it had all 5 star reviews so took a chance to drive over and was an amazing experience. Tom the manager is a great guy and the picnic table views of the vineyard is incredible. Will definitely visit again it’s a super charming must visit

If I could it rate it higher I would! Cassandra was AMAZING and truly made the experience what it was with her enthusiasm and expertise. Great views, great wine. A must stop in napa.

Joey was wonderful!! We came pretty late in the day and he still accommodated us!! He made our daughter’s birthday very memorable. Such a great afternoon, I highly recommend stopping and sampling their wines

This is a lovely winery. We enjoyed our experience there. The tour was wonderful and we did learn a lot about how the wine is made and how/where the grapes are grown. The wine is wonderful! We will definitely be back next time we’re in Napa.

Beautiful winery with an incredible backyard overlooking the vineyard unlike anywhere we’ve been in Napa. Joey treated us to an incredible and intimate tasting experience, despite a large group tour arriving at the same time. Would 10/10 recommend. Don’t forget to use the 2 for 1 deal with priority wine pass!

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Backstage Winery as part of a trolley tour, and it quickly became the highlight of our trip. The charm of this winery is unparalleled, and we found ourselves extending our stay to soak in more of the beautiful vineyard views and the delightful company of talking birds that added a unique touch to the atmosphere. The wines at Backstage Winery are simply some of the best we have ever tasted. Each sip was a testament to the quality and passion that goes into their winemaking process. We were particularly impressed with the variety and depth of flavors, making it a truly memorable tasting experience. We must also extend our compliments to the owners for creating such a welcoming and enchanting environment. A special shoutout to Joey, who played a pivotal role in enhancing our visit. His knowledge of the winery’s history and his ability to broaden our wine experience with insightful explanations made our visit even more enjoyable. Amazing place to end the day of wine tasting. Specifically: Joey, Todd, Cassandra were AMAZING!!! Fantastic place to enjoy some wine on the back patio. We will be back!

This is an excellent winery with well-kept grounds and the most informative staff of any winery we visited in the Napa area. They are exclusive in the sense that you can only buy their wine from them. I was informed that they are situated on eighty acres. In my opinion, they have the best pinot in the Napa area. We learned a good deal about the wine making process and enjoyed ourselves during our visit. I recommend visiting this winery if you are in the Napa area with a couple of free hours.

We rolled in to Backstage a bit late in the day after having already been turned away by a few other tasting rooms nearby for not having made a reservation in advance. The folks at Backstage were super welcoming and unpretentious! Their super chill and super positive attitude was so appreciated. Joey served us two flights. No fuss about who was sharing a sip here and there. He was so knowledgable and friendly and really made the experience special. He was able to read our group really well as to pace and how much information to add. We ended up buying several bottles of wine which we are super excited to share with family and friends soon. All of the wines we tasted were excellent but a few really stood out. The rose we tried had hints of various fruits but wasn't too sweet. The zin was just phenomenal. All the cabs were great but the Oak Knoll was something truly special. Joey: thank you for making our stop at Backstage a great experience! We will most definitely return!

We had the privilege of hosting an event at Backstage in August 2023, and it was a complete hit. Everything from the wine to the staff going above and beyond again and again made this such an unforgettable evening for us and our guests. If we could give 10 stars, we would. We can't thank Olivia and Angelo enough for the amount of care they put into hosting us. They were so welcoming and accommodating to our every ask, allowing us to use the entire property however we envisioned. They helped us test and order the perfect types and amounts of wine ahead of time so that the evening us was a total breeze. Even a few nights ago, nine months after the event, a friend brought up how wonderful that night was and how delicious the wine was. We can't wait to return this summer to do another tasting at Backstage and encourage anyone who is looking at hosting event or doing a wine tasting to check them out, you won't regret it!

We were blown away by this winery, from the service, to the wine to the views, it has everything. Our host, Joey, was nothing short of incredible. Very friendly and knowledgeable and made it just such a pleasant experience. I can’t say enough about him or this place. They even allow you to picnic with your own food! We purchased and opened a bottle of their Pinot noir and enjoyed the views and it was nothing short of amazing. This is a hidden gem and napas best kept secret. Come see for yourself!

It used to be called Andretty Winery. So the new owner renamed it to Backstage winery, which is in my opinion not suitable name for this Tuscan-themed winery. Also, the logo does not fit the design at all, it ruins the whole winery appearance. The best thing was to leave the previous name: « Andretty Winery”. The whole charm of the winery was the way it looked, it had the smell of Italy and the paint that was starting to peel off gave it its uniqueness. I still love this winery as I have so lots of good memories with it. Attaching the photo from 2018❤️

We enjoyed a great tasting at Backstage hosted by the owner and his daughter. Knowledgeable and shared information but not over the top. The wines were great, the grounds are beautiful and the hosts were very welcoming, friendly and proud of what they are doing. Great place to visit

Backstage Winery was the third and last stop on the Platypus Wine Tour that my husband and I joined during the Easter Weekend, and it was such a wonderful experience! Beautiful buildings and garden, lovely and knowledgeable host, and some truly excellent wines. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning winery with delicious wines. The cabs are incredible! Visited on a Platypus tour and was impressed. Todd provided a great tour - he’s knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging. Ashley was also very helpful and so friendly as we tried to decide which ones to purchase. Not to be missed!

Had the pleasure of visiting this winery on a tour that we booked. So glad this was on our itinerary for the day. Our tasting was so much fun, the wines were amazing literally from the Chardonnay to the cab! It was really hard to choose and if I could I would have brought home all of them! :) It being family owned and the fact that the father and daughter did our tasting made it more special. Highly recommend and will 100% go back!

Best wine tasting experience over our 4 day stay, out of 9 different wineries. The main reason: Todd. If you can, have Todd host you. He was funny, engaging, and overall responsible for the best time during our Napa trip! The wines are great, the place is magical (try to schedule it at lunch time and enjoy a picnic in the back!).

Excellent experience! Great tasting options and Rod was very fun and knowledgeable. This is a new tasting room so it isn't too busy but I'm sure it won't be that way for much longer.

We had a wonderful time at Backstage. It wasn’t busy at all which is surprising because the wine was fantastic and we had a blast learning about the winery from Todd. I ended up coming home with a couple of bottles.

My husband and I loved this winery! Todd was very welcoming, informative and kind. We didn’t feel rushed & felt right at home. Todd tailored the experience to what we were looking for and gave us a better option than what we booked. We learned so much about the property and also had plenty of time to relax & enjoy the wine. He also gave us a recommendation for a local bakery which was amazing. Todd made our experience at Backstage Winery 5 stars.

Of five tastings we did on our trip, our group agreed Backstage was the best overall experience AND quality wine on our trip! Todd was so engaging and paced the tasting perfectly. All seven of us bought wine to bring home too; a testament to this great family owned winery.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. My girlfriend and I had a weekend in Napa and this was by far our favorite stop and the highlight of the weekend! To begin the property is beautiful and comfortable, and the wine is fantastic. However there are other spots in Napa with great wine and views. The difference here was the incredibly hospitality! Jiana and Todd made us feel at home and provided excellent information while touring us around the property! Overall a must go! Last thing, compared to some of the more corporate wineries that try to churn you in and out, Backstage encourages savoring the time and wants you to walk around and explore the property. Instead of feeling rushed I felt they didn’t want me to leave.
