Stopped in to grab a quick lunch, I’ve been here a few times and every time the owners are always so kind and the food of course hits the spot!

This place has gone down hill as in quantity and quality of food. Price has increased and the amount of quantities have decreased dramatically. You order a sandwich or rice dish and all you taste is the bread, barely and meat...

The best banh mi I ever had, the bread was fresh crusty, it had enough amount of pickle with the meat delicious 😋

Okay Banh Mi but disappointing milk tea. Got the Pork belly Banh Mi, it was decent portion for its price. I wish the carrot and daikon is pickled longer with better flavor. the Pork belly is just okay in flavor and texture. I was expecting it is juicier and caramelized as mentioned in the description. The pork belly is on the drier side but the fatty part is slightly better. Overall, the flavor is light. One of the most disappointing bubble tea I have had. The bubble is not the typical tapioca bubble, it is more like the hard jelly type bubble in canned bubble tea. The milk tea is very heavy with creamer/milk taste and barely any tea flavor, not what I would expect for a milk tea. Also the drink is full of ice cube.

I don’t understand why two sandwiches took them 20min to prepare. It doesn’t look busy at all in the restaurant.

I went to Banh Mi Boy yesterday and it was as delicious as always. I had the Curry Chicken Banh Mi, which I frequently order because it so expertly combines spice with the freshness of the veggies and the bread. It was amazing. I also ordered a Thai Iced Tea, which I’ve had a few times but never from here. I added Boba and it was really good - sometimes Thai Iced Tea can be too sweet; it wasn’t here. They had a special running where if you took a selfie and tagged them you could get a free menu item. I got a Garlic Bean Tofu on a croissant. The croissant is a new menu item, so it’s early days, but for their first day making this tasted great. I had it hours later (as I was very full) so by then the crunch of the croissant had reduced but it was still tasty. Overall, Banh Mi Boy is great. The food is consistently top notch with friendly service as well. I recommend it to anyone who likes Vietnamese food or just good food in general. It’s affordable and delicious 5/5.

This place has always been amazing, but today something was off. The sandwich was very plain. I think they may have forgotten the sauces.

This place used to be so yummy with hot fresh baguettes like they just came out of the oven. I was so looking forward to a tasty meal tonight but what ended up happening was crusty, stale inedible bread with tendinous meat that you can’t even chew. The grilled pork was all fat and the summer rolls were all lettuce. Smoothies tasted like they put the whole pineapple in the blender and had black flecks in it tasting starchy like unripe bananas. The whole experience was a disappointment and nothing was salvageable. Not to mention that a child who belonged to either an owner or employee was screaming bloody murder the entire time customers were there. Not the desired atmosphere either. Won’t be back.

Bahn Mi Boy has never disappointed. From platters to sandwiches, every dish is always delicious. Bahn Mi's are light but filling, balanced, and feel nutritionally complete. The platters are a little beefier if you are looking for more of a dinner option. This little gem is a must visit for anyone that likes Vietnamese food!

Very fresh and delicious sandwiches. On the same level as a Vietnamese restaurant we enjoyed in Savannah Georgia.

I love walking around the University and feeling like an undergrad again (I am 39 but some say I only look 25). This establishment all the more adds to the atmosphere with their garlic tofu sandwich that appeals to my vegan delights.

The best banh mi I've had since moving from NY three years ago. The baguette...ohhhh the baguette... crisp on the outside and soft inside...perfect!! Wonderful and friendly service.Really looking forward to going back.

The first time I visited I felt the food was top notch! This time it was meh. I was disappointed in the quality of my sandwich and my avocado smoothie. It was just was subpar. Also, I noticed a lot of fruit flies were flying around which was pretty annoying. 😞

Really good Vietnamese Comfort food. Banh Mi's are great and the Rice Dishes are awesome to. Great Prices and Great Portion sizes. If you need some yummy quick meals at great prices, this is a great spot to try. One Hidden Gem Dish: Try the Chicken Salad. It's Vietnamese style, and super flavorful especially if you are on a low carb diet. Super nice family run business. Highly recommended.

We got the Banh Mi Boy this place is great. The pork is savory, super tasty the other stuff completes the sandwich. I truly enjoyed this sandwich. Must try.

First-time visit, and I came away very impressed. My wife and I both ordered the Original Banh Mi, filled with ham, Vietnamese pork roll and pate. I also piled on with the Shrimp and Pork Summer Rolls. The sandwiches were great, made on nice crispy baguettes, garnished with pickled vegetables. I really enjoyed the Summer Rolls, but the combination was TOO MUCH FOOD. The Banh Mi alone would have been plenty. So I took half of the Banh Mi to go. Service was great, friendly and efficient, and prices are reasonable.

Banh Mi Boy is a clean and tasty Vietnamese spot in Newark, DE. The Summer Rolls and Dumplings are seriously delicious. Always a win! Plus, the Pho is excellent! Very clean and light tasting broth, tasty noodles, with plenty of toppings. If you like lemon grass, this is the Pho for you! Topped it all of with a coconut smoothie that was very refreshing. The owner is super friendly. I only wish I lived closer!

Service was nice and quick. The food was reasonably priced and tasted great We stopped by here while our car was getting serviced nearby and were in and out in decent time.

First time here and I ordered the roast pork bahn mi. It was perfect! The bread was warm and crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, and all the toppings were so fresh and satisfying. A lovely place! Glad to live so close, I'll be back!

Genuinely the best restaurant in Newark (and all of Delaware). Banh Mi Boy saved my life. Never had a better Banh Mi, and the price to food ratio is spot on. Don’t sleep on the summer rolls or the dumplings either.

The vegetarian tofu banh mi is one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was super fresh. Tried the lemongrass tofu too which was good but not as good. We liked the summer rolls and the dipping sauce a lot, too.

Yesterday, was my first visit here. I ate here after work for lunch. I ordered the Pho sandwich. It was absolutely delicious and fresh. The establishment and the bathroom was very clean. The husband and wife are so adorable, very nice and accommodating. Great job guys! I will be visiting again soon to try another delicious sandwich and a bubble tea.

My boyfriend and I were craving banh mi and stumbled across this place on Yelp. Since moving to the east coast, it has been hard to find good banh mi. This restaurant was very clean and the menu options were easy to read. We ordered 2 banh mi and a bowl of pho to share. Everything we had was fantastic and authentic. And even though they are named banh mi boys, their pho was very delicious and legit. The woman behind the counter taking our order was really friendly as well. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Oh My goodness! Yum! I’ll drive from Wilmington to have one of there sandwiches. Please try the TOFU Bánh MI with the sriracha sauce! Melts in your mouth! The Pickled Carrots were a first for me. I love the music they play. The people working there are always very polite. You’ll leave with a smile.

Banh Mi Boy is the best place in the Delaware area for authentic Vietnamese banh mi. In fact it’s one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Delaware! The sandwiches are always fresh and made to order. Each type of banh mi is delicious in its own right from the original to the roast pork belly. They also make a very unique and delicious “pho sandwich” that I haven’t found anywhere else. In my opinion, the banh mi are better than those that I’ve had in Philly. The summer rolls, chicken salad, lemongrass soup, and Vietnamese coffee are also delicious. All of the food is very light, but still flavorful and satisfying. Prices are also very reasonable. The Chen family opened Banh Mi Boy several years ago after having to close their original restaurant Saigon Vietnam due to the rent increases in Newark Shopping Center. If you never got to taste their ginger chicken or pork spring rolls then you don’t know what you missed! Mr. Chen and Mrs. Chen are always friendly and very kind, and they really take pride in their work. The quality of their food is excellent and very consistent. To the folks that complained about having to wait for their food, all I can say is that you can’t rush a good thing! Any waiting is well worth the outcome of having a tasty meal.

I had a tasty roast pork sandwich, and Vietnamese style coffee. Both were very good, sandwich roll was crispy on the outside, soft inside, good amount of heat and pickled veg. It was a decent portion, but don’t expect to be full. Atmosphere was a little wanting, a bit cold and quiet. Coffee was very good, traditional Vietnamese drip/very strong almost espresso, with sweetened condensed milk.

Amazing Bahn Mi (Vietnamese sandwich on french bread) All the ingredients are very fresh, but what really ties it together is the awesome baguettes. If you go, get a bubble tea smoothie! I've been up and down the coast, never found one better.

Delicious roast pork banh mi. The bread is fabulous. Pork belly and garlic tofu also good (but roast pork was my personal favorite). Iced coffee was very yummy. Daughter tried the bubble smoothie (strawberry), she enjoyed it quite a bit. The restaurant itself is small, with a bar at the window for people watching (good for those dining solo). You order/ pay at the counter and the folks prepare the food and bring it to you in little plastic baskets. You bus your own tables. Prices are very reasonable. Off street parking is convenient and well marked, accessible next to the restaurant.

It's hard to find a good bahn mi sandwich in this area but this place hits the mark when I am in Newark De. Good prices, tasty food, no frills college lunch spot.

I seriously love this place! The lemongrass tofu Hahn mi is awesome and I’ve yet to eat something here that disappoints. The staff is always very friendly. Especially the owner, he is so nice and always greets you like you are an old friend. I live 30 minutes away and still find myself driving over here after moving away from Newark just because I miss these sandwiches. Definitely would recommend ( and have recommended to many people)!

Spring rolls are excellent and reasonably priced. I only wish they quality was more consistent. If the owner was making food in the kitchen this wouldnt be a problem, but they have college students working there and not everyone makes a spring roll the same way. Still very good.

Stopped here for lunch and we all had the lunch special which included a drink and chips along with an order of steamed dumplings. Absolutely loved the roasted pork belly sandwich with the fresh veggies! Steamed dumplings are the best. So glad we visited for lunch.
