Small restaurant located right next to our AirBnb and well rated, we let ourselves be tempted for a takeaway lunch. Because even if the atmosphere was nice with its beautiful terrace, sheltered by parasols, it was too hot to eat outside. The tacos are super good, with quality products and very fine taste. 2 tacos per person were enough, accompanied by chips and guacamole which we shared. In short, you can go there with your eyes closed.

Food was amazing, best tacos around, and the people were great.

Beautiful option for those crossing Missouri by ferry. Simple place, but with impeccable service. The strong point is the nachos. Feel like a local and enjoy the atmosphere. It is worth it!

So much fun! Definitely recommend the brocoli taco! The fish taco was also amazing. I have no doubt everything was delicious but only had so much room in my stomach. Make the trip. You won't be disappointed.

We came across this little restaurant by chance and we were not disappointed. The tacos are delicious and the atmosphere is really nice! We are from France and if we come back to New Orleans, we will happily eat at this place again!

Amazing local taco place just on the other side of New Orleans. Took the ferry to explore the other riverside and found this gem. Made the day so much better!

The best tacos and "superbowls", consistently delicious and fresh, well seasoned and served quickly. All at a more than reasonable price compared to the other side of the Mississippi. The beef and fish cooked perfectly. Small but sufficient selection of drinks and super nice operators. We were the same there two days in a row!

This is the near perfect taco stand. Superior food and service. Only area for improvement is the chips were flakey not toothy as I prefer.

Really chill and laid back taco stand. The queso is to die for and the margs are amazing. The seating is outdoors, however there is a ton of shade and mister fans to keep you cool. This is honestly one of my favorite local places.

I really appreciate the service at this location. I wasn’t aware they were cashless, and didn’t have my debit card with me. The woman who took my order worked with me. I got the broccoli taco and the chicken taco. One of my friends got a deluxe beef taco and that looked pretty amazing. My favorite part of everything was the service but something has to be said about the michelada they made me. O. M. G. It’s hard to find a good michelada but wow, this one was just stellar.

Wow best Mexican food EVER!!!! So delicious!!! $3 round trip per person on the quick ferry ride over, so worth it for this amazingly delicious restaurant. If you are thinking about doing it, don’t…. Just do it! #noregrets

This is such a nice and relaxing spot in Algiers. While we only got a quick drink we would def go back. The margarita was really good.

This is my first time here and I was pretty impressed The food was so fresh and the meat was so tender. My only complaint is they don't do shrimp tacos but that's fine The queso dip makes up for it. There's no dining inside but the outside was the vibe. Simple menu not much to overthink. Oh and we order the margarita picture and split it between three people It was enough for seconds.

Ordered the fish, chicken and pork tacos with some Modelo and everything was so good! Especially loved the salsa verde on the chicken taco, but the star of the show was most definitely the fish taco. Highly recommend - the vibe on the patio is so great and the neighbourhood is so peaceful and quiet.

During the festival across the river... . This is a taco restaurant where you can quietly enjoy the leisure of this town. I was full so I ordered just one taco ($3.99) and a nice guy (???) brought it to me. Delicious, but too salty for my taste

Easy ferry ride and short walk to this excellent spot. The neighborhood has excellent New Orleans architecture so the walk is great too. Beware, though, the last ferry to Canal is earlier than you'd guess. When we were there the kitchen was slammed, so food came out slowly. Don't know if that's typical, but the kitchen is doing great work in a tiny space, so don't sweat a little wait. Esquites was very good, but chips with all the dips has to be the go to. All were excellent. We had the fish tacos (excellent), a mushroom taco (excellent), and beef tacos (very good). The beef would be excellent most other places, but the fish and mushroom outshone it. If I lived here I'd go to this place once a week. Really great spot in a city with lots of great food.

Cute historic neighborhood eatery in an old gas station. Add a little spice in tour life while visiting Algiers. The taco stand is cashless and has outdoor seating at umbrella covered tables.

This was a nice taco spot ducked off in old Algiers. The tacos were good even the vegan taco was good. The drinks were bomb. They were a little pricey and they don't have specials on taco Tuesday.. I would go back... Update- they aren't as good as they used to be when they first opened. The food presentation fell off and the drinks seem watered-down now. I would still go for convenience being that it's less than 5 minutes away.

Stumbled across this place while walking around Algiers checking out the cool architecture. Barracuda is outstanding! Soooo glad we ate here. Everything was dynamite. The broccoli tacos were a stand out!

We wandered from New Orleans to Algiers Point via the ferry. As we walked around we came across this gem. We just love the ambiance, the food was top notch and they had good beer. What a fantastic location!! I am a real estate agent and think every neighborhood should be developed like Algiers Point. There is a park for children on the corner across from Barracuda, and near by there is a church and a bar amidst adorable houses. Great location!! We did not get a picture of our food because we were too eager to eat. We just forgot!!

Great taco stand with happy hour food and drink specials. Tried the crispy fish taco and the “crunches” happy hour tacos.

What a great addition to the point! They picked the prime location for families since they’re across from Confetti park. I was so pleased to see they had opened a taco shop here.

I am so glad that a friend of mine brought this location to my attention. I've always wanted to try the other location but didn't want to fight the traffic to get to it now I don't have too. The food is fantastic. The staff is friendly. And the atmosphere is relaxing.

The only thing I don't like about this place, and the only reason it doesn't get all 5 stars, is that seating is exclusively outside. Y'all it's Louisiana. Food and drinks are delicious and service is quick and friendly.

Excellent steak tacos. Well seasoned, lean and tender. Great flavor. Fresh flour tortilla, cooked to the right crisp. Fresh guacamole. Chips are not made in house and it shows especially because everything else was made fresh in house.

This is definitely one of those "off the beaten path" places. You want great food, go here! Definitely worth the extra time drive time if visiting the french quarter. I got the pork and the catfish tacos. Wife got chicken all phenomenal.

We ate at the Algiers location. Great food, clean bathrooms, great service! And the drinks were good. ALL for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend the fish tacos. Make them a deluxe! It’s worth the extra money!

Wanted tacos and passed by Barracuda's in Algiers. I really love their Beef tacos but branched out a bit. Made one taco a deluxe. Not bad but not necessary. The Fish taco was awesome. I see the appeal of the tacos. They were delicious. There isn't much of an atmosphere since it was cold and outside but the food is worth it. The chorizo taco is okay but would definitely get the beef and the fish tacos again.

Best tacos I have ever had. Went back for seconds. Do not underestimate the deliciousness of the broccoli taco and mushroom taco.

My girlfriend and I were recommended this place by a cemetery tour guide and it didn't disappoint, especially with it being sunny and in the 60's. Service was excellent, the place is clean and pleasant. I got the crispy fish and chicken tacos along with having some of my girlfriend's mushroom taco. Everything was delicious

The food was well seasoned and tasty. Loved the salsa and the warm chips. Nice atmosphere. They were hosting a nostalgic Christmas movie night at the time. The towered gas heaters made eating outdoors comfortable.

Always a good time at Barracuda. The pork taco is my favorite, but they’re all really good. Get a cocktail, too. You won’t regret it.

Tour guide, Jeff, from the cemetery tour recommended we come here and he was not wrong! The crispy fish tacos, chips and queso, and corn was too die for! Really glad we came out here and tried it. I especially enjoyed the pomegranate surprises.

Can’t pass up a ferry ride & a stroll. Bumped into Barracuda Taco, looked cool, sat outside basking in the December sun enjoying excellent food, especially the chicken and the street corn cup. Clean restrooms , another plus.

The Barracuda Taco Stand appears to be an old repurposed Gulf Oil Station. The building is really cool and the sign is a great landmark. The food here is absolutely great and the staff is super friendly. I had a beef taco on a corn tortilla and my wife had the fried fish taco on a wheat tortilla. The margarita was also very good. This was our first visit but will not be or last.

Great neighborhood taco stand. Yummy drinks, fun atmosphere, & good chips & dips. Definitely order the chips with all the dips to try queso, guacamole & salsa. I love the fish tacos and beef tacos, as well as corn in the cup. Also love the jalapeño margaritas. Good selection of local beer.

We’re staying on Algiers Point. We ate here last night and liked it so much that we decided to eat here again tonight. The crispy fish tacos deluxe and jalapeno margaritas were my go-to. Others in the party had quesadillas, corn, queso, and assorted other items. No one complained. Everyone left happy. The staff were energetic and enthusiastic. We have other places in the Quarter to try or we’d be back again on this trip. Highly recommended.

If you are ever in Algiers Point. You have to stop by Barracuda Taco Stand. The pork n chicken tacos deluxe were 🔥. I will definitely be coming back.
