Tacos were good. A bit overpriced but good.

Long lines around dinner time but they move quickly. Excellent food and service!

Ordered the chicken, beef and brocolli tacos to go. I wasn't expecting authenticity, but I was expecting them to be more than one note after their high online reviews. All 3 tacos just tasted like they were drenched in salt. The texture of their steamed tortillas were also off putting. Because the protein was tossed into the tacos with no care, the tortillas ended up being soggy and broke apart by the time I got back to my place to eat (about a 5 min car ride). Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Go to any of the taco stands around the city and get far better tacos for 1/2 the price. Plus you're not risking your life crossing Tchoupitolous.

Excellent food. Two locations. Here and in Algiers point. Both very good . Always have people eating there.

This is an incredibly and I cannot stress this enough casual restaurant. More or less a fancy taco truck. But that’s the beauty. All outside seating you order at a window and the food starts flowing from there. I started with the chips and queso with chorizo. And it was so flavorful. The chorizo was a little masked by the queso but still tasted good. The chips are clearly homemade and that always makes a difference and don’t break when you dip. Being in New Orleans I had to try the catfish taco. I made a rookie mistake and put too much guac on it and it over powered the fish but otherwise incredibly tasty. I will say the deluxe taco just didn’t seem to make a noticible difference in flavor for me. I also got a pork taco and that had amazing flavor too and the pork wasn’t too tough. Finished with a chicken quesadilla and it was a nice little capper for me it was the right amount of food being on the line of too full. And paired it all was a super refreshing limeade. All in all if you like tacos go here

Great place to eat if you are going to a concert at Tipitinas which is a short walk away. I got the Chips and Queso, Chicken Taco and Mushroom Taco all for about $15. Was very filling! Unlimited water in the back yard where people sit and eat. Great place and vibe to this place!

had the absolute PLEASURE of trying barracuda for the first time today and man i am blown away!! my partner and i enjoyed the house made corn & flour tortillas with the chicken & beef set ups. that cilantro sauce that comes with the tacos??? impressively delicious & the right amount of spicy. the fresh hot queso & fresh hot chips? made us so happy. i havent even gotten started on how accommodating the staff is! the person who took our order greeted us with a cool smile and even gave us safe-to-drink water to accommodate the boil water advisory the city has at the moment. the person who brought out our food made sure the food was packaged neatly & tight enough to brave the distance we traveled home (& it did!). im glad we ordered to go because my reaction was VERY DRAMATIC as to how delicious this meal was. we will definitely be back.

Great spot for delicious tacos! Stopped in for a quick lunch and got the $10 lunch box with Chicken and a Fish taco. Everything thing was awesome from the food to the service and atmosphere. This will be in my list for go to lunches going forward.

My wife and I ate here at 3 o’clock on a Monday afternoon in the summer. I got a bowl with pork, which was excellent. The pork was tender with grape flavor and the bowl was a decent size. My wife got a broccoli taco and a mushroom taco. She thought they were some of the best tacos she’d ever had. And we live in Tucson. We spent $35 and both got drinks. Highly recommended!

Not authentic. Bro the michelada was literally just oily hot sauce and corona, no Clamato juice. I wish they would’ve used corn tacos, everything tasted the same, I’m not a fan of the like experimenting with putting pickled onions, sunflower seeds and cracklin on my food like that’s not Mexican at all. Mangonada was fire tho and guac was good (minus the garnish). Overall just wish it was more authentic

The place is absolutely gorgeous, but the quality and taste doesn’t live up to the hype. My beef tacos were mid, but the biggest bummer were the michelada and pickled onions. The michelada didn’t have Clamato juice in it and it only had hot sauce in it with a bunch of oil. Also the pickled onions were so old just by the look of their color and tasted kind of rancid. I’m honestly disappointed because I was so excited to try this place:(

I love this place! I carefully pick my times because they can get real busy. But, the food is worth it. And I love the Jamaica Tea.

If you’re a taco 🌮 fan like me then this will be the place to go! They have great tacos and bowls! The Steak Bowl is definitely a must to try! They have great back yard with fans! And you’re never in line! Just the parking 🅿️ that sucks! But it’s worth! Btw the Magonada Margarita is the best in town!

Homemade tortillas are a must when it comes to having a great taco, and they have it 👌🏽 and all the meats are all well marinated and full of flavor. Obviously, I'll be back. 😄

Nice little find for some great tacos.

Chicken was salty. Broccoli was salty. Beef smelled like fish( maybe they don't clean the grill) queso was bland. Guac was bland and tasted like old avocado was used. Salsa didn't taste fresh- more like pre made for the whole week. Pumpkin seeds on everything doesn't really compliment well. Looked good- but after one taste it ended up in the garbage.

I love coming to this place but the chicken tacos are always way too salty!

One of my favorite taco spots in New Orleans - everything on their menu is delicious. Make sure to get the guacamole. The backyard area is super fun to hang out in with your food. Drinks are great particularly the special margaritas. Service is lightning fast. Always a good time had at Barracuda.

Top notch tacos! They were so flavorful and fresh. The salsas and toppings were fresh and made with quality ingredients as well. It was pretty busy when we showed up, but service was surprisingly fast, and the courtyard atmosphere was bright and enjoyable! Would HIGHLY recommend you try this place out!

Cute little spot with killer tacos. The crispy fish taco was amazing and my favorite! The fish was fried perfectly and was hot and crunchy. The matcha salsa was the perfect compliment! The chicken and pork tacos were also delicious. The outdoor dining space was cute and shady. The anti fly fans for the table were a nice touch.

Great experience here for a Monday lunch. The service was polite and quick. Not very crowded in the secluded garden area made for a relaxing lunch. My lunch consisted of two tacos, a pork and a broccoli taco. The pork had amazing seasoning; while the broccoli blasted great flavor and wasn't overchaered. Keep this place in mind for a relaxing and tasteful lunch.

Truly some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Close to beating out LA and NY tacos. Highly recommend the broccoli taco and then the Louisiana catfish taco

Tacos were amazing, backyard patio is great but there's always a line at peak hours, like mid day. Also a family friendly atmosphere.

Clearly a neighborhood favorite! The line was long, but it moved very quickly! Together, we tried almost every taco and would absolutely go back! Also, do at least one of your tacos Deluxe.... Totally worth it!

This was a nice find. The outdoor eating space is quaint and has a wonderful atmosphere. The food was good but a little pricey for what you get. I had the braised pork tacos which were really tasty. My wife had a chicken quesadilla and we shared some chips and queso. We each had a margarita, her Jalepeno and me strawberry. Bill was just over 50.00 with tip. Give Barracuda a try, I think you will like it.

awesome. first time visiting NOLA. thought the area might be sketchy from the outside but i was dead wrong. delicious food, great environment. wait was a little long but after being there i see why people are willing to wait.

Asked for no cilantro but was given it. Not normally a big deal but they were for someone that can't eat cilantro since it tastes like soap to them and had to be picked out. Besides that service and food were great

Really cool outdoor space with good food, great for groups and vibey dates. If you want to eat outside, this is a top choice. You order at the window so the service is real quick and easy. Ordered a few tacos, the queso, and a bowl. So the tacos were ok, no real complaints. But the bowl is where it’s at. Beans and rice and guacamole and choice of protein and you can add broccoli and mushrooms. Great meal, really filling and delicious. The queso was unique, I added the chili and it came with pomegranate so it was a mixture of spice and sweet. Also, don’t sleep on the frozen mango margarita. Delish. This’ll be the happening spot as the weather warms up!

We were in New Orleans for a month and had a lot of delicious food! But Barracuda was the one place that kept calling us back. Everything was exceptional..and so fresh!

Was looking for a place to enjoy Taco 🌮 Tuesday and came across Barracuda. This is a really nice place for this occasion. Real nice setup. Good food,drinks,and customer service. I am looking forward to visiting this restaurant again.

Best tacos you’ll find in New Orleans. Very fresh and everything is prepared amazingly. Loved the chicken and fish tacos the most. The chips and salsa are also fire. As a California native, I take tacos very seriously, and these are some of the best I’ve ever had. Very inviting atmosphere as well.

Chips and salsa were very good , simple but good. I also had shrimp tacos, pork tacos and chicken tacos. All three were good.

This is an outdoor venue with an indoor feeling (the heating lamps overhead help) and the tacos were phenomenal! Vegetarian options include a mushroom or broccoli taco too, so yummy!

Little too pricey! And the customer service it’s the worst!! Cashier did not even smile or greet us, it’s like she didn’t wanna be there or why am I here! You can’t have a place where customers are coming paying their money n the customer service is horrible! Same thing does for our waitresses! The food was okay! Could be better for the price!

The margaritas has entirely too much ice for my liking and it’s not really much of a “happy hour” price to me, personally, they really should stop advertising it as such. Their food is just okay, a bit on the salty side, I’ve definitely had better though.

Best cheese quesadilla I've ever had. They toast cheese on the outside for extra cheesy crispness. Thr crispy fish taco and broccoli taco are also my go to. Great guacamole (guacamole does not have onions which is IMO is way better) and pretty good queso.

Barracuda has amazing food and an atmosphere for everyone, including kids and pets! You'll leave feeling fabulous! This is a great hole in the wall place and is a must try when visiting nola!

I love Barracuda’s, a nice taco place. Parking is horrible, but it’s New Orleans lol!! When it’s cold, they have heaters outside that feels sooo good. The chicken taco’s are the best, the pork tacos are okay but really spicy and greasy.. I had a hair in one of my taco’s ( couldn’t be mine, I have pink hair ) but they replaced it with a new one. with that being said, just make sure you check your food, they don’t wear hair nets. Little to no drink options, they only have Jarritos soda’s lol. I’d go back but only for the chicken tacos, and chips and queso. Id bring my own drink!😭Their chicken tacos are really to die for, so delicious. 😫❤️

This is your next spot for sit-down tacos in a garden, no lie. Chicken and crispy fish are my natural fav. The mangonada w/ chamoy is fire. Speaking of heat, they provide outside heating lamps that keep it going all year round. Check out happy hour. And last but not least, if you're a queso fan like me, "making it spicy" is a must, plus free refill on chips. You can thank me later. Enjoy!

Fish tacos are great and so are their margs but have to drop my rating because it seems like their recipe for their beef tacos changed- they used to be my favorite but the meat isn’t as tender/melt in your mouth as it used to be and tastes different :(. I can no longer say this is my favorite taco spot.

I visited here when I came to New Orleans for vacation and I loved it. The food (Fried Fish Tacos) was great. The seating outside under the soft lights and tent is a nice touch. The two young ladies at the counter was just as pleasant as one could naturally be. (Kiki and P? I can't pronounce more less spell her name) but they were lovely and that is much appreciated. This place is consistently awesome. Just get the chicken, fish and broccoli taco and you’ll be in heaven. Great guac and chips as well.

The vibe here is awesome. The food? Not so much. Very middle of the road tacos for the hilarious amount they charge. Maybe I'm out of touch but $4-5 for tacos seems seriously overpriced.

Huge outdoor space with lights and many picnic tables for gathering with groups of family or friends. Delicious chips, light and perfectly salted, with a trio of dips, guacamole, salsa , and queso. Fish taco was super crispy and tasty. Loved it and will definitely come again.

Yummy tacos and good vibes! Tried the crispy fish, broccoli, and chicken tacos. Crispy fish was perfectly fried. The broccoli was our favorite! Lots of flavor and crunch. The chicken was a little dry but overall good flavor. This is a great spot to hang out, the outdoor seating area is cute and relaxing!

A cute little taco stand off Tchoupitoulas, Barracuda had friendly service and good food. Even after a mix-up of me not receiving my drink due to another patron’s mistake, they quickly replaced it free of charge. The margarita was simple but tasty and the fish and pork tacos were delicious (warning for some - it’s spicy with the green sauce)! Chorizo queso was good, similar to others out there but with some sort of bean or seed added to the meat that gave it a nice touch. The environment was hot (to be expected) but there were plenty of fans/water stations for guests. Dogs are allowed and there is even a doggy bag station. I will definitely be back on a cooler day!

Always a fantastic experience. The food and drinks are some of the best in the city. Underrated happy hour as well. With only outdoor seating, it can definitely get hot in the summer, despite the abundant shade and misters. But with food and drinks this good, you won’t care.

…I’m still trying to figure out how I’m just finding out about this place. The customer service was top tier, for starters. My coworker and I were leaving a high priority case that kept us at a certain location for hours and needed something good to eat. This was my first time but won’t be my last. Inexpensive items, the margarita drink was so good, the ambiance in the courtyard was so relaxing with a misty breeze from the fans. The bowl was so good. Im not a fan of fish breaded that way on this fish tacos but it wasn’t too bad. Check it out!
