Went while visiting relatives in the area and was not disappointed. The food was amazing and we all had a very good time. I had the lamb mac & cheese and it was so good. It even reheated well because I could not finish it there the portion was huge.

The outside seating with built-in table fire definitely added to our dinner experience. The food was also some of the best Greek food I've had in the suburbs. Unfortunately, there were both delays in receiving our drinks as well as missing orders that couldn't be resubmitted due to kitchen closure; however, our server was very apologetic & did what able to rectify the situation.

First time dining wow what an amazing restaurant. Great service, delicious food, perfect ambiance. Hailey, our server, gave us great suggestions on our food choices. The shrimp de jonghe, tamara, skordalia appetizers were great starters. The Greek Tavern Salad had very crisp vege’s and was tasty. Lamb Mac & cheese yummy and the Skirt steak was cooked to perfection! Aurora delivered our bottle of Juggernaut Chardonnay and the wine complemented our meal. Desserts - lava cake & baklava - omg perfect Highly highly recommend and will be back soon

We have dined in and ordered take out from here a lot! During the pandemic we ordered the family meal for carryout. The food is ALWAYS on point. The staff is friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. When the weather is nice, you can sit out in the patio for a different vibe. The drinks are good too. It’s hard to find a spot that has flavor in every bite. We’ve ordered the New York strips, salmon, chicken kabobs, lamb shank. You have to have the Greek potatoes with your entree! I attached some of the entrees we have ordered in the past and also the family meals we got to go. You have to try this place out!

Answering machine said they opened at 3 on Mondays. Guess what - they were closed for deep cleaning!

Excellent evening. My fiance took me for my birthday meal and the staff was kind to be prepared to remember to say happy birthday! We had a menu that even said happy birthday on it! Also the roasted lamb was easily the most flavorful and delish dish....words can not describe how absolutely perfect it was. So a picture works better.

We went for my fiancé's birthday and everything was fantastic, from the service to the food! Will definitely come back!

What a very nice restaurant located in the outter ring of the Fox Valley Mall with plenty of free parking right outside the door. The restaurant was beautifully appointed and the service from when we walked in the door until we left was outstanding. We were there in the middle of a Saturday afternoon when it was pretty calm, but I have been there during their busy time, and the service was outstanding then as well. The bread served on the bread board at the start of the meal was very good and was especially good with the Avgolemono Soup. I am not real sure I would order the Chicken Parm again as the chicken seemed a little over processed. The Mousaka flavor was very good but the vegetables in it were cut rather large so they were not done to my liking and I needed a knife to eat it. One person at the table ordered the side of grilled vegetables and really enjoyed them. The Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was really enjoyed by the person who ordered it. Vodka Gnocchi was very good nicely sauced and cooked to perfection. The restaurant including the restroom is easily navigated when using an assistive device for mobility.

Everything here is so good. The staff are friendly the decor is like a taverna, the food is superb. I lived in Greece and this is the closest I have found to the food I had in Greece. The only thing missing was the ocean breeze.

I found this restaurant on line, I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate my mothers birthday. After spending a great deal of time, researching restaurants, I finally decided to try this restaurant. I made a reservations for us to come on Sunday night. The food came out in a reasonable time everything taste, so delicious. I love the ambience of the restaurant as well as the service that we were received. I will definitely be back. For being in the Fox Valley area, this place was pretty decent for lunch. Prices aren’t terrible. Service was good. It wasn’t busy. Gyros were very good. Portions are huge. Tarama (red caviar) with pita bread was a nice appetizer. I typically don’t eat too much fried food, so I would just skip the deep fried zucchini. The lamb mac and cheese mostaccioli was a little salty. That’s why I look off one star. However, there was a generous amount of meat in there.

Went to Basils for dinner last night and had the best experience ! My family is Greek so I'm very picky about Greek food and everything was delicious ! The spinach pie wasn't just beautifully presented but the flavor was exceptional. The beef in the dolmades was seasoned perfectly and the lamb chop lollipops were cooked just right . Maggie the manager was so nice and welcoming and checked in on us to make sure everything was perfect and we had everything we needed. She even personally made me an espresso martini that wasn't even on the menu ! It was amazing !She really went above and beyond and after being in the service industry for years and currently in a costumer service job its so refreshing to be so well taken care of when going out . I will definitely go back and cant wait to try other things on the menu!

We stayed away for a while because of a server who does a poor job, is combative and needs customer service and serving training. She was not there and we were relieved. We had a very tasty dinner, very attentive server and nice live music to set the tone. The happy hour prices for appetizers was appreciated. We will come back more frequently and just make sure to have a different server. Our server last night did an excellent job and was friendly.

We went last weekend on Saturday night. It was very tasty. But there were a few things that I will mention. We were a party of 5 with three drinkers, and the check with tip was around $400.00. Not bad for the place . We had some problems getting set up and getting drinks to the table at first. But it was eventually handled, but not before we were eating calamari with our hands. I had the steak it was cooked correctly but a bit thin. My son in-laws steak was not cooked correctly, but the restaurant gave us one to go. Over all ok and we will go back if we get a chance. Hopefully, it was a one-off kind of day for them.

Hope you like hornets in your food! The manager doesn't seem to mind. For context, I sat outside around 7:00pm (getting dark out) and ordered the baked macaroni and cheese with lamb. The dish came out and the cheese formed a seal around the bowl. A little more than halfway in, I noticed something curled up and blackened. After unfurling it, I realized a literal hornet had been baked into my macaroni! I called the waiter, who started off by saying they had a bee problem with their outside seating. Admittedly, I saw one fly by while eating, but we went when it was beginning to get dark out and bees are less active. He assumed this hornet (which was black from being cooked) crawled in while I was eating. After I explained the bug was black and was baked into the dish, he called for the manager. The manager gave me a similar explanation and assumed this hornet crawled in while I was eating, cooked itself, and died in the bottom of my dish. I shown my phone's flashlight on the hornet to explain its color was due to being baked in their oven. She was mostly silent while I explained my dissatisfaction, and I was given a simple, "I'm sorry" while she remained silent for the most part. She only offered to waive the dish from my bill (no further compensation for me or my party) and didn't seem too alarmed by this. I know the bug had crawled in before the dish was baked.

This is a pretty decent Greek Restaurant. I love the seafood here. It was perfectly well done and the taste was pretty good. Did reservation for Birthday and I was absolutely satisfied with their service. The only thing I didn’t liked was zucchini chips . It was too oily . Didn’t liked the fact it was deep fried& was not worth the price. plus unhealthy I should’ve ordered Mediterranean side instead. Other then that Nice Experience here . Although, the ambiance inside the restaurant is good but I chose Patio setting because of Sunshine.

Went for Father’s Day. Reservation was for 7.15. Obviously towards the end of the day but if the restaurant is taking reservations then there shouldn’t be any drop off in service. First off we got no bread as they had run out. We asked for water but didn’t get any and had to remind the server to bring it. When the food arrived we still hadn’t received any napkins or silverware and had to wait while our food got cold for them to be brought. Before ordering desert specifically asked the server if everything on the menu was available given how things had gone so far. She said it was. However after ordering she came back to tell us that all they had left was 2 pieces of cheesecake. As there were 3 of us wanting desert we declined.

We love the food here. We have dined in and carried out several times. Their family meal carry out specials were our go-to during the pandemic and thereafter. My husband and I dined tonight- we began slowly since our server did not come to our table after sitting for 10+ minutes- other tables arriving after us were being waited on.
