The catfish and shrimp special was dam good and plenty of food you come hungry. you're going home full, and everything was just wonderful. The service and staff excellent

Place wasn't busy when I arrive. All the staff where warm n friendly. Food was hot n popping. Like being with family. Staff where very took care everyone. Didn't get everyone name., but the cashier who was taking payment, WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. I NOTICE WHEN ANOTHER PERSON OF COLOR WAS PAYING (INCLUDING ME WHEN I )PAY). With credit card/debit. Was ask 2 show ID. I TOLD THE LADY I'M THE ID. 🥰., AFTER SHOWING MY ID TO PAY, I FIGURE THAT THERE POLICY. WELL THE PERSON BEHIND WAS NOT OF COLOR N I WANTED 2 SEE HOW HE WOULD BE HANDLE. ANSWER(YOUR RIGHT). NO ID NEEDED FOR HIM. I TRY 2 LET IT GO, BUT THE INFIGHTING N MY SPIRIT WOULDN'T ALLOW ME. I MENTION IT 2 OTHER PEOPLE'S IN RESTAURANT. PREJURY/RACIST IS STILL AWAKE. HOPE THIS POST WILL BE A TEACHABLE MOMENT FOR THAT CASHIER. GOOD LUCK. KEEP MAKING THAT AWESOME FOOD ( ADD DRUM 😋)

Food was hot and delicious. Servers were excellent 👌🏿 Cashier is trash! When paying with a credit card while black you have to show identification, white man comes in paying with credit card no identification required. Your true colors showed I will never patronize this location ever again in life. No drum fish!??W.w. white Bay Seas better hands down.

The service is great. The atmosphere was lovely.

The food is great and the amount of food you get for the price is amazing. My only issue was the amount of times we were offered a to go box, especially when my family and I had just received our food no more then a few minutes before. Almost like we were being pushed out, which is a shame because we did enjoy the food.

Delicious seafood. My favorite is the trout. You just gotta watch for bones but they do remind you about it. Great service as well.

Food is fresh, fast and fabulous. I loved the fried shrimp with fries. My sister had gumbo which she felt was too spicy. The shrimp is fried perfectly.

Stopped in while we were nearby on vacation based on reviews and were treated to seriously delicious food and a wonderful, friendly staff. One of my kids even asked to go back again the next day. Portions were very generous and everything tasted amazing!

The food here is excellent! I was absolutely shocked by how good the food was. Keep up the great work! The dining room is kinda small, but who cares with food that good. Gumbo, awsome! Catfish, awsome! Shrimp, awsome! Coleslaw, awesome! This place just made my #1 restaurant. All you other seafood restaurants, watch out this place is going to take your spot...

Delicious food! Everything was well cooked and the portion was perfect.

My Daughter and I had lunch at Baysea's yesterday because she has never had their food before. She was as surprised at the amount of food for the price as I was the first time I had a meal when they were in Converse. It's a casual and relaxing restaurant. We both ordered the popular fried fish and shrimp special. This restaurant is small, but we arrived as soon as they opened and didn't have to wait to be seated. Take-out is available. This location is open every day except Sunday. The food is so hot and fresh and delicious! The thinly breaded well-seasoned crust on the fish and shrimp is so crispy and delicious! The inside has a very delicate and fresh taste! The small gumbo was spicy and full of sausage and shrimp. The menu has a nice variety of items to choose from. The wait staff was also very friendly, professional, and attentive. I ordered chicken wings, potato salad, and collard greens to carry-out. All of the items were excellent also!  We will try the other wonderful items on our next visit!

I placed an order in advance for a graduation celebration with Victoria and Trey they did an amazing job preparing everything. Everyone enjoyed the fish, shrimp ,french fries and hush puppies. Thank you guys for your hard work & great customer service skills. Only thing I would mention is the parking lot is not big enough & it can become very crowded!

Omg…the food is amazingly delicious, you get so much food for the price, the staff are extremely friendly. If you like seafood this is the place to go to. Highly recommend Bayseas.

Pat Booker location. Food okay, but over priced. No drive through, even though the building was built with one. Limited hours. Open only one day per week later than 6 p.m. So not there for dinner. Customer service. We placed an order to go. Three other parties who came in after us were served before us. Long wait. I had to ask if our order was ready. We won't be back.

We did takeout from Bayseas Seafood restaurant last weekend and have done so several times before this trip. We ordered two Large Catfish dinner entrees with 5 pieces of Catfish, Fried Shrimp, Coleslaw and French Fries. We also got an additional side order of Fried Shrimp. The food is always well seasoned, hot and tasty. We will definitely return again and would certainly recommend this place.

This is a great place to eat. Good prices and lots of food for your money. They do not offer military discounts, but you will not need it the are the best in town for quality and quantity.

New location on Pat Booker same great taste and portions. Same kind and friendly service and mostly the same faces (staff/ customers). Only issue is parking and seating inside. This location is much smaller than their old one. Saturday hrs seem shorter, too. I think they close at 6pm now? Still worth all the effort just be patient. Only place I know of to get consistently good, fresh-fresh, fried seafood on this side of town. The trout special is my go-to. I also love their oysters. *Of, note if you only like your fish fried in cornmeal this might not be your jam. It's more of a tasty, seasoned, flour-based fry with maybe a hint of cornmeal if any.*

Food never disappoints. Love it. You get more than you think well worth the trip.

Not happy with my experience, I ordered the shrimp basket for 15.99 and they gave me a boat load of fries and 2 packs of ketchup when I asked for more ketchup they got mad and didn’t want to give me more, the shrimp look big but it’s all bread the catfish is paper thin with lots of breading on it. It’s like they take one filet and slice it into three thin pieces and bread it real good to make it seem like three filets but it’s only one slice into three. the pork chop is paper thin with lots of breading they give u more fries then anything but only two packets of ketchup smh I won’t be eating here ever again.

New location! Seafood done well is the attraction. I had the catfish and shrimp special. My wife had seafood gumbo. My friends had shrimp po-boys. The portions were generous for the price. All were tasty. We all had fried entrees. I'll have to try broiled next time and look for healthier options, but an occasional splurge is okay, right?

I’ve been told for YEARS how good the food is but we never went because converse was too far out of the way for me! We ended up going today to the new location here at Pat Booker and let me say! I truly wish I would’ve went sooner! We both ordered the catfish plate with shrimp and fries, opted for hush puppies instead of slaw and I opted to get the green beans instead of slaw! This is literally only the 2nd time Ive had catfish and I am not disappointed!! My standard of fish previously shamefully was Long John Silvers!! 🤣 Both waitresses who helped us were extremely helpful and friendly! We waited approximately 1/2 hour for our food which to me is standard in any restaurant, everything was fresh,the portions were plentiful and bill was under $30 for us before tip!!! My only negative would maybe be the fries needed more flavor however I don’t typically eat them most places anyway so didn’t make a difference in my overall experience! We’ll definitely be coming back again!! It’s not often anymore we get great food and great service in the same place these days! I love that they close dining room early to be sure staff gets out in decent time also!

I have driven by this seafood place a couple times and wanted to try it for a while and I am glad I did! It’s a little hidden gem and I overheard there location moved. The shrimp and catfish was delicious - I got the catfish sample and a 1/2 sweet tea and unsweet. Oh! And their coleslaw was really delicious, too! Light mayo dressing with slaw - Yum! They didn’t have the clam chowder today but I definitely want to go back and try their gumbo next! Great seafood place and great inviting staff. Nice restaurant 💕

I am so glad my friend brought me here for my Birthday! New Location on Pat Booker Road. This place is AMAZING, Service is Great and a very Clean Restaurant to Dine In at. And the Plates are HUGE 🤩 Fried Catfish, Shrimp, Fries, Coleslaw and Hush Puppies for Dinner!! Delicious!!

5 stars for service, cleanliness, everything cooked fresh, enjoyed the shrimp and coleslaw. The real draw is how much food you get for the price. Fed me for two days! Knocked off a star cause the catfish lacked flavor and the breading was soft despite coming fresh from the frier. Fries were unseasoned and soggy, looked and tasted liked frozen Ore Ida. Regardless, I'll definitely be returning due to the sheer quantity of food you get. Unmatched.

We ordered the catfish special to-go and it was delicious. It came with 4 pieces of catfish, 3 shrimp, fries, and coleslaw. It was extremely cold in the dining area while we were waiting, I am not sure how people were dining in. We will be back!

Oh I’m so glad this opened. Closer to home. The food is great and plentiful. The best Cole Slaw around. The fish tastes great not muddy like other places. Again, thank you for moving.

Horrible service!! We went during lent because it was highly recommended to us. The employees were so rude. They talked about customers loudly and rudely to other employees but wouldn’t say anything to us. They were mad a family of 5 needed 2 tables because we ordered almost $75 worth of food because I wanted to try everything since we’ve never been. It didn’t fit in one table. She kept telling us no, then when the food came out I just grabbed an extra table and ignored her. How are you gonna have a family of 5 sit on a table of 4 with big plates and containers of food?? Then she was mad because she said she gave us a ticket…she did not. She was mad because she thought we were trying to hide it. She was being really weird. Seemed like part of the family that owned it. There were other employees trying to calm down her down. I told them everything we ordered, paid and walked out. I was warned not to sit inside because of service. But I wanted to not have cold soggy food at home. She’s lucky I had my kids with me and didn’t feel like getting confrontational. If your mad that it’s busy during lent and we are taking up 2 tables then require parties of 4 or more to get take out. She was also mad because we were taking to long to eat. Ummm, again family of 5! 2 adults, teen, child, toddler. Absolutely horrible service. Food was good. Wasn’t something that I’d pay for again though because I refuse to give money to a business that’s family owned, yet don’t know how to serve a family without disrespectful behavior over a BLESSING…being busy!!! I understand being flustered this was not it.

Can't go wrong with the catfish special with shrimp. Always a lot of food on your plate for the price. My go-to seafood joint. Call before you go, cause their times have changed.

This is my go-to for a good simple seafood meal. Fish and shellfish are great and you always get more than you ordered. They don't fry their fish in cornmeal but it's still crispy and flavorful. The staff are very respectful and responsive. There are also non-seafood items on the menu. Good dessert options. Plenty to eat if you've worked up an appetite.

The food was excellent, and the serving was enormous. Just good food for a good price.

I stopped here for lunch with my boyfriend, we both got the catfish with shrimp special. Our waitress was very friendly and super nice! Our food was served hot and fresh and fried crispy as we requested. It was delicious!!! Highly recommend!!!

I got the catfish fillets with shrimp combo.. mannnnnnn it was soooo good. We can back in 2 days. Yes we had this spot twice in one week. I know the building doesnt look all shiny like these other restaurant, but that dont matter these ppl know what they doing in the kitchen and they from New Orleans say less. Definitely will be back again and again

A total disappointment. I usually look forward to eating here but my fish should NOT taste like porkchops. My order should not be part of another persons when we paid separately. My order should not be bagged with someone's else's when we paid separately on to go orders.

Great people and great food try it out if you like sea great menu

Today was my first visit at this restaurant. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and given a menu to look over as I was placing a to go order. Everyone was nice and respectful. The lady at the front was very polite and helpful. All their food is super reasonable on pricing even for the family meals. I ordered their special of the day 3 pcs fried catfish, 3 fried shrimp, fries and coleslaw for $14.99! Everything came out hot and fresh & it was all delicious! Some of the best catfish I’ve ever had and definitely the best I’ve had in San Antonio area and I’ve lived here 20 years hands down!! Coleslaw was excellent!! I’d definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

It was very busy. It was a Sunday afternoon. The dining area was crowded. I think they should expand, it's a lil congested. Otherwise, everything came out hot and fresh.

Service is second only to the food. Food is better than any major chain in town. No frills, just good food and if you leave hungry then you eat too much. I love the Flounder plate with shrimp and oysters. Mmmmmmm.

This is some of the best fried cat fish I have ever eaten. The coleslaw was awesome, hush puppies were perfect and pecan pie was very good. I highly recommend.

If you are wanting a good place o eat in Converse but want and need only clean fish options and also have a taste for jalapenos on the side, Bayseas is the place for you. The cashier was friendly and talkative. She made me feel welcomed to the area and I liked her attitude and energy. The staff also wears gloves and masks, and I have never seen that before in a restaurant. Makes me feel that they are big on cleanliness. Will recommend and go again if I am in Texas again.

It was our first visit there. It was a small cozy place with outstanding service. We sure felt a big Texas hospitality in this place. The food was excellent & so delicious! My husband had the catfish & I had the trout. We were so pleased!

We just got back to San antonio and this was the 1st place we went to eat. We love the food! The porkchops are so good and the vegetables! Military discount. The people are super friendly.
