Amazing pizza and a very unique atmosphere. The meatballs are extremely good. I would highly recommend this place!

The pizza is ultra small and thin, it costs 15$. You'll need between 4 to 5 pizzas to get full. One time experience and won't do it again.

Geeat vibe. Loved the pizza and a nice selection of brews and wine. It can be loud in the main area, but they have two additional seating areas.

Showed up for a gluten free pizza on a road trip, menu is marked to provide GF pizza crust, but the pizza is cooked directly in non GF ovens with no tray to avoid cross contamination. Cross contamination is only mentioned on the menu for toppings, NOT THE CRUST. Why even have GF on the menu if nobody can eat it?? If i didn’t ask the nice waitress about CC, I would’ve been screwed for my entire trip. I appreciate the service, but fix the menu before someone gets violently ill.

First time at Bella Luna was wonderful - we had the Bella Bianca and Pesto Verde pizzas - both were exceptional. The Bianca has the most delicious mushrooms I’ve enjoyed in a long long time. Easily 5 stars - go soon!

Our second visit to Bella Luna and they did not disappoint! The food was absolutely fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious pizza options that cater to every palate. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable meal. The atmosphere was wonderful as well, with a cozy and inviting ambiance. The vibes were good, the pizza was amazing and the variety on the menu was very good. My ancient, feeble and old papa also liked the food. The house made mozzarella really made the pizza above all others. My only complaint is that the menu has no sunflower emojis 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻😢😢.

Server was very nice and the food was amazing! The inside is a little loud but you get used to it. We got the soppressata, the don, the mushroom Pappardelle and one of the speciality pizzas (had peaches, mozzarella, and balsamic). Everything was delicious! Totally recommend

Got a table for two on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered 2 pizzas. Arrived within 15 minutes. Cost $32 pre tip. Good friendly service. The closest thing to an actual Italian/European style pizza that we have in the area. Would be good to have less flop, but the pizza is over all delicious!

The burrata and beet salad was outstanding

The sweetest basil I’ve ever had. I asked the server about it and she said they grew their own. That was on the drive up to the Adirondack Mountains in upstate NY. Had to get another pizza on the way back to NC. We were there about 3PM, so it wasn't crowded like our first visit at peak dinner hours. Highly recommended! Hopefully I’ll be back!

First time eating here, we got to sit outside as it was the weekend. It was an all around great experience, and they have the best cheese fries I've ever had!

Family enjoyed the pizza. Not your traditional pizza, but it was good. Lots of tap selections to choose from, waitress was friendly. If your into traditional pizza I wouldn't recommend Bella Luna, if your into something different then this is the place for you.

The waitress was outstanding, very attentive. Pizza came out in no time & was very flavorful. It's Neapolitan style, so keep in mind there will be some "flop" to the pizza- and one pizza isn't enough to share if you're really hungry (they're small). Would come here again.

Bella Luna makes easily some of the best thin-crust pizza I’ve ever eaten - seriously, if you’re a fan of the style, you have to try this crust. Their topping selection is reasonably comprehensive, and their specialty pies nicely balance tradition and adventurousness without straying into weird. The wine selection is really good for a pizza place, and the service and vibe are definitely appropriate.

Good pizza but the favorite was the meatballs! Ordered the meatball appetizer and this easily could be a meal paired with a salad. I have to rave on the meatballs, they were tender, juicy and flavorful and packed with a kick at the end. Lovely!

DOG FRIENDLY (in part of the restaurant)! I didn’t know this and missed the opportunity of bringing my pup! The pasta is delicious and the pizza is good too.

Nice cozy,yet chic atmosphere. As soon as I entered smelled like home,the pizza is really close to an authentic italian pizza, light dough,really fresh and top quality ingredients,staff was super careful and friendly. Drink bar offer delicious and unique drinks.

I’m a big fan of Bella Luna. The pizza is delicious and everything else on their menu has never disappointed. Service can be a bit slow but if you expect that you’re in for a lovely experience. Their mocktails are really bad, but I can’t fault the restaurant for that; I think it’s just the fake liquor they use.

The pizza crust is crispy, yet chewy and soft at the same time! So good! The pesto pizza was SO flavorful!

My wife really likes the pizza. I really like the meatballs. My picture of the meatballs doesn't do them justice. They are excellent. The pizza is very good too. There was an issue with the order, though. One of our pizzas wasn't made correctly. I was a little frustrated and called back. They immediately offered to make it right. I was pleasantly surprised and my wife said that action alone would give them 5 stars in her book. So there ya go. We ordered this meal to go but the restaurant is also great to hang out in and drink some cool refreshments.

This is my first visit to Bella Luna, we were celebrating my grandson's birthday, we waited 30 minutes for the table. The restaurant was extremely packed, the waitress came to us quickly to give us drinks and then we ordered our appetizers which came quickly then replaced our dinner order and it took a good 40 minutes to get that. We all ordered mixed drinks and the bartender didn't spare the alcohol, they were very strong. The food was very good but I am on the fence as to whether I will return. The young lady that waited on us was very attentive, she was an excellent server.

Easily, the BEST Caesar Salad Ive ever eaten! Im still thinking about it! Pizza was a bit underwhelming and a tad bland. Service was very quick and efficient!

Cool location for college. Great service and good selection including cauliflower crust. Maybe too much corn meal and charcoal finish on crusts, but otherwise decent. Easy parking and walk ability.

It's easy to understand why this restaurant is so popular and busy, even on a Sunday evening. The pizzas we ordered were outstanding and were devoured quickly. Beer list and cocktail menu were also good. Service at the bar was good in spite of the crowd.

This is a cool little place! Parking garage is right across the street! I was little skeptical because it's not much of a menu. These pizzas are absolutely amazing! Our waitress was awesome, and the atmosphere is great! Can't wait to visit again!

Food was great. Server abandoned our table after food arrived, finally came back with an attitude. If I'm ever passing through again, I will find somewhere else to dine.

The pizza is very good and the pasta is wonderful. The portions are a bit small given the prices but still a good meal. They don't take reservations, so get there before you're hungry.

Their specials menu is unique and complex. Their Ring of Fire pizza is a great staple on the menu. The drinks could be more unique/complex but still very good. Definitely recommend dining in instead of delivery.

We came here for lunch while visiting historic downtown Harrisonburg. This is definitely not your run of the mill pizza place and has both an upscale food offering with a super friendly vibe. They offer a great variety of pizza choices as well as a create your own. Each pizza is a 10” personal pizza which could be shared if you aren’t too hungry. They have other options as well besides pizza but we only tried the pizza. I created my own with mozzarella, hand pulled sausage, mushrooms and arugula. My partner had the Brooklyn and our daughter has the cheese (fresh mozzarella). Each pizza was very good and had super fresh ingredients. I really enjoyed mine a lot with the fresh arugula and the well seasoned sausage. The dough was very good and cooked perfectly. The service staff was very friendly and helpful. The layout was vey open and they have different seating options that would fit anyone’s preference. I definitely come back here again when I’m in town!

Always excellent food and service. Has been a go-to for many years now and it never disappoints. Frequently order from the "special" menu as they always come up with creative ideas and combinations.

Service 100/10. We had just done a sunset hike in sennandoah when we called in our order to pick up on the way back to Harrisonburg as we didnt want them to close before we got there. We made it back and the restaurant was still open for 30 minutes, so we asked if we could just eat there and grab a drink. They happily obliged and got us plates, waters and took our drink orders to we could enjoy our "take-out". Awesome food to top off the experience. Had some pizza, a salad, and the arancini.

Pizza is amazing, personal pizzas that are filling. Something for everyone. The crust is crispy and delicious, but doesn’t overtake the toppings. My favorite is the arugula prosciutto pizza! Pastas and appetizers are good too.. and don’t forget the desserts. I love the atmosphere, calm relaxed and modern. My children love watching their pizza being made. This is one of 2 places in the area I will eat pizza. You can’t beat it!

Wonderful food and very good service.

Pizza is good, but big issues with communication. We came in with four young kids and waited over an hour to get our pizza. When we asked what was up, the waitress told us they were short staffed. I understand and sympathize with the challenges of that, but we really needed to know up front that we'd be waiting that long for the food, especially with kids. When we pushed them on the delay, they brought us some bread for the kids - and then charged us for it. One of the adults with us also ordered their pizza-and-beer combo - but was then charged separately for both the pizza and the beer. All in all - decent food and it's nice looking, but with the delays, lack of communication, and then being overcharged on top of that, I don't plan on going back.

I don't know, maybe I'm spoiled. What should I have been expecting? Paying $109 for 4 small pizza's delivered to me. But it was just so disappointing, the dough is nothing but a chewy flop. It is so small for the price and just frankly disappointing.

A solid pizza place. Above the normal usual pizza fare. With nice touches like burrata covered in pistachios on a bed of arugula and beets, and very nice crafted cocktails. But honestly, who has time to enjoy any of the food? We were served and whisked out the door in 23 minutes. Was chewing on my second piece of pizza and multiple staff asked if they could remove my plate. Why? Third piece of pizza was asked if I wanted to see the desert menu..sure…after I finish my meal. My only moments of peace were after I paid and can finally relax and chew the ice from my drink. Lower the light level and ask your eager waitstaff to chill.

Hands down best Napolitana style pizza I have had in Virginia. The dough was light, soft and beautifully cooked. Awesome tomato sauce too. It reminded me of having a Margherita pizza while in Italy.

Attempted to order to-go was told it was dine-in only. To-go should always be an option. Cool, went in, explained to the host, who was rather unfriendly I might add, what was I was told on the phone. She said yeah dine-in only. Cool, Sat at a table, was offered a water by the host. I politely declined as I said I wasn’t gonna be long, I am going to order and go. The host immediately went to the manager. The manager, Hailey comes over doesn’t say hello, how you doing, didn’t offer her name, or anything. She said “what do you want to order?” I placed my order. Salad came out quickly, pizza took 38min (it was a simple cheese). I am not upset with the wait time as the food tasted great. I found the service to be extremely disappointing, especially being that the manager, Hailey was my server the entire time. Never once was there an update on my food order or a general check in on the table, despite the fact that the manager, Hailey and the owner wade were both circulating the restaurant. There was also no general apology for the 38 min wait time for 1 pizza. Hope the next time we visit, things will be better.

We came in 2021 and I still talk about this place. I thought it’d be the place we’d get married for the longest. The food is amazing. Staff kind. Atmosphere amazing. We just stumbled back across it today going to Cuban burger. We cannot wait to come back!

The pizzas are great and they also have anchovies if you like them. The spicy pizza brings enough heat to be enjoyable. The pasta is amazing especially the Mushroom Pappardelle. The bread and olive appetizer is really good. The slices are huge! And across the street are some really good dessert options.

This was Absolutely amazing. Try the hummus! Our server Holly was amazing! Masterfully handled a 7top with a child, without a glass going empty and she didn't even need to write down the order. Wonderful.

Always a fabulous meal. We visit Bella Luna every time we are in Harrisonburg. We had the Hearth bread, Risotto fritters, wood fired meatballs, Margherita pizza and the Arugula Prosciutto pizza. All was delicious.

This place is apparently very well known by the locals and for good reason - the food is pristine! Even on a Friday night, the wait was only 10 minutes, and the service was great and friendly even with a packed house; my server who's name i unfortunately don't remember saw that I was unsure what to order and he did a very good job of detailing what pizzas they recommend for what you're in the mood for. The Ring of Fire pizza was amazing and you couldn't even tell it was dairy free cheese that I asked for. My wife got the butternut squash noodle dish and that was quite exquisite as well. Definitely recommend, call ahead for a reservation but absolutely go! I can see why they're one of the best rated restaurants in Harrisonburg. Awesome atmosphere too, love the clasic Italian advertisements on the walls.

Menu is poor and cheese pizza, named on the menu Simple cheese pizza doesn't have flavor. Had to add salt and pepper. Ben, the waitress, did an excellent job on customer service.

Randomly stopped in on a Friday evening while traveling through the area with my family. Found easy parking across the street, welcoming, bright, and attentive staff, great atmosphere, and delicious food. If you're on the fence, know that all four of use would encourage you give it a shot! ... also, for the longer attention span peeps; the drink options were great, some very unique food options in addition to traditional favorites, and the bathrooms (for people who use as a guage of restaurant cleanliness) were appropriately clean and accommodating ;) Just go, and have your own great experience instead of just reading a out others'.

Whenever I am driving on I-81 in Harrisonburg, I try to stop at Bella Luna. Actually, that is the rule for both my mother and sister too. The atmosphere is lovely. The idea of eating in an old stable is thrilling. Not to mention, beautiful. The old beams surround you in unique character. I am a vegetarian who always has options here. I was able to choose one pizza and then add to it however I saw fit. I was traveling with someone who cannot eat dairy. She was delighted to easily find something to eat. She normally has to tell the wait staff so they can make special accommodations. However, that was not necessary here.

Passing through on our way home to CT (home of the famous New Haven style pizza!) we read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The pizza was excellent! More Neopolitan style, wood fired and fresh ingredients and we were thrilled! My husband and I each had their sausage and mushroom pie. The crust was the perfect crispness on the outside with good chew inside, perfect cheese to sauce ratio and locally sourced mushrooms (not sure about the sausage but it was delicious). Paired it with a local IPA. Oh, and we showed up 25 minutes before closing and we never felt rushed - the staff was super attentive and friendly.

We had one of the worst service experiences here. The food was delicious and all the other staff were very nice. However we had to get up from the table several times to get things we needed including the refills, ranch(which we asked for when we ordered), the check and box. We tried to “flag” down and get the servers attention multiple times but she would not pay us any attention. The bartender ended up helping us more than our actual server. We wanted to get dessert here as we were celebrating a birthday but opted out after the horrible service.

Great atmosphere and pizza. I love that they have mocktail options! The service was great. We wish we lived closer so we could frequent here often and try more of their pizzas. So many dishes that went by our table looked and smelt delicious. This is a must try!!

We visited Bella Luna for dinner one night while on vacation, and we were so surprised that the pizza was as delicious as it was. The flavor and topping combinations are unique, and the crust was the perfect marriage of chewy and crispy.

The pizza was fantastic. Best crust for wood fired pizza I've ever had. The server was knowledgeable about the variety of local beers and ciders on tap. The restaurant has an interesting footprint, and the unique setting was well utilized.

Beautiful place, chill vibe, plenty of seating and great service but the pizza was disappointing...for Americans this may be authentic Italian pizza but it really isn't, paper thin soggy center with big round edges that are charred is not it.

Great service, great food. Wood fired pizza is something special. We passed up Texas Roadhouse to eat here, and so glad we did. Specialty drinks are a little pricey but the draft beer was excellent and about right.
