Was there for a grad party, food was excellent, service was good, definitely a must go place

Awesome Polish food. Perogi are soft and flavorful. Potato pancakes are fried crisp and have substantial grated potato pieces for a great interior texture. Can't wait to return to try other menu items.

Food is decent. Perogies bit gummy. Some meats were over cooked. Desserts were good. Coffee is awful everywhere. Fish was good and salads.

The best polish food restaurant in New Britain and the state of Connecticut. I have my birthday party there and eat lunch or dinner. Professional knowledgeable and polite service. Strongly recommend.

This is an excellent place for authentic Polish food. The Belvedere platter is great if you can’t make up your mind and the Hungarian goulash is fantastic. Only drawback to this place is the early closing time but it’s worth planning your day around.

A great place to go for authentic Polish food in Little Poland! The Potato Pancakes with Gulasz are out of this world and are definitely my go to! The patio is also a nice touch during the summer. The restaurant is clean and the decor is very aesthetically pleasing. The staff is also friendly. Great experience!

Quaint feel, great service, good food. The tripe soup is fantastic. I could have made a meal of it had I eaten the two rolls that came with it. Ordered the Belvedere platter, which came with hunters stew, keilbasa, stuffed cabbage, pierogis, and potato pancakes.

Came here with my girlfriend for our anniversary. Had the Belvedere platter, grilled kielbasa, and potatoe pancake appetizer. The food was delicious, and true to the polish tradition. The potatoe pancakes are huge which was unexpected but great. The service was also quick and friendly. The only criticism I would give is that the menu has a lot of overlap between plates, platters, and appetizers. So it's hard to choose an app, and then a plate, without getting double of a particular food. Not really a bad thing, but I just wish they had more variety. Additionally, when we came in, it was at a time where there was no servers around, so we sort of stood there for 5 minutes waiting... Not sure what was going on at the time. Letting this slide since everything else was spot on. I'll be coming back for more.

This review is about management rather than the food. We traveled from RI to New Britain to shop at a Polish market and get some Polish food for lunch. We ordered takeout from Belvedere and ended up bringing it home to eat. Upon arriving home we saw that we were given the wrong order. After calling the restaurant we were asked to call back on Monday. The person we first spoke with was quite apologetic and understood our disappointment. Called today and spoke with the owner Ella. She could not have handled the situation better. Refunded us without question and was quite sincere about inviting us back to make up for the mix up. Looking forward to getting that Belvedere platter next time.

So this is a double review! I recently went here for lunch and loved it so much I had them cater my Dad’s birthday. The lunch was amazing! The restaurant is clean, the staff is kind, and the food is just like my Babcia’s! The pierogi are amazing! We loved it so much we asked them about catering a birthday party! The catering was so easy, the owner and I texted about what I wanted, she texted me back with prices (so fast) and they were so reasonable! Next when we picked up all the food she had a case for it all that kept it warm for 4 hours! It was so hot when we served it. Everyone raved about the food! Belvedere carting paid attention to every detail. Belvedere sent us fresh dill and even fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries) for the farmers cheese pierogi! We had more than enough food and Ella the owner helped me pick the amounts! I am telling you, this was amazing! Authentic, just like your grandmas cooking! Wonderful experience! Thank you all!

The potato pancakes taste like hash browns and overcooked.at least it looks nice inside .the waiters were not friendly , no hi as you walk in.

We recently had a baby shower here and it was amazing. The food and service were tremendous and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

There were no dumplings in borscht, no bread, and didn’t add applesauce and sour cream to platter.

I am not fond of the new bar space upstairs. We were there for a large party and were set up in the basement. Although it was decorated lovely with Christmas decor, it still felt like a basement with a very low ceiling. The food and service was very good.

I had the pleasure to visit Little Poland this week for our family’s first time! We drove over 1.5 hours! I was at the most adorable flower shop across from the magnificent church there, the friendly kind gentlemen (Nick) I believe his name was, told me I HAD to come here for lunch.. And boy am I glad as ever! We had the delicious Polish Platter, and so many delicious food here! I was so happy for the recommendation. It took me back to my young days in Poland. The restaurant was decorated beautifully, and the food was heavenly! Thank you Belvedere Cafe !!! Me and my family can’t wIt for our next visit back to this adorable street!!!

One of the best Polish restaurants on the East Coast. The menu is varied, the wait staff friendly, and the food is delicious. The chicken soup was homemade (even the noodles were homemade) and the beet soup amazing (try it with the mushroom ravioli). we both enjoyed the Belvedere platter, the large one included a tasty Kabasa and the pierogi simply amazing. There's enough different stuff on the menu to come back several times. We intend to.

We celebrated a birthday here as a group of 7. We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Delicious food, very good atmosphere with Polish programs in TV. Good chicken noodle soup, that pasta is made by themselves so really ++ Very tasty hungarian goulash with huge potato pancake. Waitress very friendly and nice. Definitely good place if you wanna eat good (polish mostly) entree.

Authentic Polish Food with great drinks, priced reasonably. 4 of us dined there on a weekday evening. The menu had a good variety of choices. The waitress was attentive and all of the orders came out as expected. A real treat for those who crave authentic Polish food. I did find the dining area is a bit too bright. A bit of subdued lighting would add to the atmosphere. Can’t wait to return.

Unfortunately something is not going well, service 😕 not very well and atmosphere too. My friends like to visit this place before but not yet.

Best kielbasa i’ve ever had. Smaller portions but very tasty potato pancakes. Thin and crispy which not everyone likes but very delicious dinner.

I ordered the whole thanksgiving dinner for 20 people and was so pleasantly surprised. It included the whole turkey and all of the sides as well as a desert. It was unbelievably well cooked, turkey was juicy, well seasoned and delicious as stated by all of my guests. I will never cook the thanksgiving dinner again as long as Belvedere is in business! Thank you!

Horrible experience….service was the worst I have had at a restaurant, barely any patrons in restaurant but it still took her a half hour to bring us water, then we ordered martinis of which took about 45 minutes before I called her over to ask if we could have our cocktails she finally brings them they looked like they had already been half drunk I actually asked her if someone had been drinking our drinks…. Who serves a 13.00 martini that is half full, my friends martini was served in a wine glass ,,,,, I told her to take mine back that I wasn’t paying for half a drink, then it gets better she brings my salad out and then proceeds to deliver my friend her main entree while I am eating a salad before the entree, this was an epic disappointment. I will not return to this place a complete rip-off!

A jewel in the middle of New Britain . Food was fabulous and the service was great. Decor was modern and stylish, totally unexpected from the street. It was raining when we went but there happens to be terraceb seating. Will have to go back and do it again outside.

Ela and the Belvedere staff do a fabulous job. Never disappointed with the food. And she goes above and beyond for any party or event hosted there or by them ! Try them out for your next casual dinner, or extravagant event! Trust me ! You will be very happy & they do much more than just Polish food! They can make any cuisine for your next party.

If you want to eat authetic Polish food that thrills your tastebuds, you must go here! Two of us shared the Polish platter with an order of blintzes on the side along with a pint of Polish beer and a paczki for dessert. Amazing! The service was friendly and accomodating, too. You can't get better than that. A must try!

Excellent food with great atmosphere and an attentive waitstaff!

Our family of four stepped by to Belvedere on our way home on a cold Sunday night and they were closing but the nicest waitress ever Marta let us in anyway. They served us delicious polish soups including homemade noodles. Beef tartare was amazing! Excellent food and service!

First time visiting. Food was delicious and authentic. Enjoyed sitting on the spacious patio. The experience was somewhat soured when I noticed a 20% service fee was added to our bill. We were a party of 4 and have not come across a service fee at a restaurant unless it’s a private event…

When we live in Connecticut it was our favorite place to eat. Since we moved to Florida we could not find a place that serves excellent polish food in classy twist excellent service and sophisticated ambiance. So while in Connecticut we made sure to visit. We been not disappointed. 🙌 bravos

Very impressed with the food here! I ordered the Belvedere Platter and really enjoyed everything on it. If I had one critique, I thought the potato pancakes were a little bland. Otherwise, everything was delicious and the portion size was perfect. Great prices, and the place was very clean. We will be returning!

Very nice and elegant experience. We had pickle soup and mushroom soup along with hot open face sandwiches on a crunchy baguette. We will be coming back.

Visited Little Poland area during a business trip to the New England area. Definitely a big, but a pleasant surprise seeing such a concentration of Polish people in New Britain. As far as Belvedere, nice place. The patio's decor simple and clean, shaded from the sun. Elegantly served food, taste-wise, authentic, but I've had better. My expectations might be higher, being native polish, than your average customer. Next stop, Staropolska Restaurant down the street. We'll see how they compare.

An amazing classy Polish establishment with food that will melt in your mouth! Great company and amazing service. ; fun, light, easy going, drinking and eating. Don’t forget all the Polish beers they have on tap....and Belvedere! Thank you for being open during these times and taking care of us!

From the moment you enter that place the stuff gives you an excellent feeling. Very congenial hosts, it is a kind place to go out with friends and colleagues or with your date. yummy food, skillful chef, reasonable cost and professional service. Highly recommended.

I stopped in here while visiting from North Carolina. It was snowing and the roads needed to be plowed so I was surprised they were even open with how bad the roads were. The bartender Claudia made a mean old fashion for us and even though the kitchen was closed, she even was able to have a Hot Sandwich made for me. To die for! They also had the the UFC fight going. So thankful for this visit, especially during a visit of a parent being in ICU. Will stop by next time I'm in town.

I absolutely love Belvedere! They’re always nice (not because they have to) and the food is excellent-better than my grandmother’s (sorry Babcia). Portions are very big for the money. My favourite is Pan Pawel, always so cheerful, just makes your day better 😁

Nice atmosphere and good food. We went there when there was a Polish event in the other room. It was so fun to hear them laughing and the music playing. The only thing is that there is not a lot of seating except around the bar so call ahead. The other room has always been reserved for events so sometimes we can't find a place to sit.

Delicious hot, the variety is great.

I got gulampies it was good but sauce was heavy . Mom in law got mushroom crepes they were huge.
