Just had an awful experience at this place with a friend. What started as a nice dinner turned very sour. My friend didn't like his main dish which he said was too fishy. While yes, it was seafood lasagna, you still don’t want your fish tasting like the end of a fishing pier. He also ordered a glass of red wine that came out chilled which our server told us all the red wine is kept cooled. Bartending 101 is you don’t chill red wine unless maybe it is a sparkling or dessert red wine. I guess our server told the owner of our misfortune at which point he came flying out of the kitchen aggressively and harassed my friend stating “it’s one of our best dishes and we’ve sold 34 tonight”. Basically asking my friend what his problem was Instead of trying to help or better the situation. It was reminiscent of a little boy who got his feelings hurt instead of a grown man taking constructive criticism. Not everyone is going to like every dish all the time. That’s just life. He continued to harass my friend complaining and really simply whining that someone didn’t like his food until we were out the door. It’s just not how you handle a situation as owner of a restaurant.

The environment was very welcoming and relaxing. The food was very delicious and authentic according to my Italian Nana. The service was incredible. Our waitress, LeAnne, was very attentive, ensuring all our needs were met. We had someone with a severe nut allergy in our party and LeAnne was very helpful. We will be back for sure!

We sat at the bar and ordered the calamari appetizer which was amazing! Then had salad with homemade dressings and finished with a chicken piccata and filet entree. The food is addicting! We were ready to go back for seconds the next day! The food came out piping hot which never happens at restaurants these days! Will definitely go back soon!

Michelle and Benny are absolutely wonderful hosts. Jackie behind the bar or serving you in the dining room is incredibly wonderful! The food was top notch! Order the garlic bread, it won’t disappoint! They change their menu every Monday and it’s fresh and delicious. A must try if you’re in N. Myrtle beach!!!

We love coming here. It is always amazing, from the food, the service, and the venue in general. We had an amazing server/waitress, Leanne — Let me tell you, she is AWESOME. She knows her stuff really good… and nothing but great stuff about the chef. His/her dishes were so tasteful….visual presentation was on point. Everything was perfect. The limoncello mojito, delicious!(just make sure to have a sugar rim) Thank You Leanne for the best customer service & thank you to the kitchen staff for making everything delicious.

Don't forget to turn off your open sign when you are actually closed.

We had fantastic experience. Decor, music, staff were so helpful. Each of us loved our selections, ravioli, scallops, shrimp, and filet. The banana appetizer and bread also perfect. My sister is a wonderful cook and she noticed the skill of everything served. It was my birthday and my sister had a cake made for me. The server was so helpful with serving us and with to-go supplies. I hope she liked some of the cake we gave her. Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday.

Bennys takes you to the streets of little Italy with their authentic made from scratch food. If you was real Italian they you have to visit Bennys!

Amazing service by Sam. She was excellent and treated our family with care. We showed up an hour before closing and she took good care of us and our kids. Great food and drinks. Sea food lasagna was great and so was everything else. 5 stars to her! We will be back!

What a gem in the middle of the tourist area of North Myrtle Beach. We have had a house here for 18 yrs and why we have never been to Bennys?.. we took our mom here for her 80 th birthday and it it didn’t disappoint. Service was great , food even better. It’s like the Ruth Chris of Italian ! Everything was delicious, they can usually make just about any pasta dish that not on the daily special board. We had stuffed rigatoni and some had Alfredo, shrimp or chicken. Salads were great, in house made dressings. Was a great birthday dinner for our mom and we will definitely go back to Bennys.

Food is absolutely wonderful! Garlic bread is crunchy and cheesy. Filet Mignon with the Marsala Sauce and Risotto was to die for! Can't recommend the restaurant enough!

When we walked into the restaurant, where the bar is, there is a foul smell and we were wondering if someone had threw up. Once we went into the dining area, it was better. Food was good and service was great.

We came for dinner last week, we usually come here about once a month. On this visit, it was the absolute worst service we have ever had there. I ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavalo and my husband ordered the pork chop, our food was fantastic. I ordered mine with no pasta, a side of broccoli. Our waitress Response was they’re going to charge you for the broccoli. Which I already knew because we’ve eaten here before and was no big deal, I didn’t ask how much it cost. Then she wanted to know if we wanted regular or garlic, I’m like regular or garlic what… Bread. I’m like we don’t want any bread, which I thought was very strange because they charge extra for bread. I’m not getting pasta so why would I want bread anyway? Evidently, the POS system was down, that seemed to be her excuse for everything. When they brought out my entrée, I asked where my broccoli was, she stated that they put it over the broccoli. I was like that’s not what I asked for, she was ready to just snatch it off the table, when I looked at it, I said there’s no broccoli on this plate, it was still in the kitchen. The man that handles the reservation list, was walking around with water. He tried to refill my husband‘s water glass, my husband explained to him that it was vodka and water, not water, we both had empty drinks, he didn’t even try to get them refilled. The owner was there pretty much just standing at the door doing nothing. I will say the young man that was walking around clearing the tables and filling up water, boxing up to go orders was doing a great job. You can look and see where I have given five star reviews, but after this experience, I don’t know that we will be back anytime soon. I don’t know if they were shortstaffed or what, but I’m not going to go somewhere that’s supposed to be a nice restaurant and have a rude server, give us poor service!

The food, service, and atmosphere were great. They do chill their red wines however. I'm not used to that. The scallop dish was delicious.

We came for a corporate event. But wow! The food and service was amazing. We had the calamari & banana peppers as appetizers for our table. I had the filet and potatoes for dinner. I also tasted the lasagna someone else at our table had. And then the desserts were also amazing. The owner, Scott, came out and said hello to our table. Overall, we had a great night!

Not enough adjectives for excellent to describe our date night at Bennys. The ambiance is exactly what you want for a nice Italian restaurant- comfortable, low lighting, traditional decor. The food was magnificent. We started with the homemade sausage stuffed banana pepper app, house salad with blue cheese, filets over risotto as our entrees, and a decadent tiramisu trifle for dessert. All fantastic and I can’t wait to come back again already!

first time visiting. service was excellent and food was fantastic. we order the gnocchi and lasagna as well as a fantastic snickerdoodle dessert. only con was that we actually went for happy hour special food served only at bar, not in bar lounge area. we didn’t realize the bar was small and reservations for bar seating would have been beneficial for the special. one bar stool of about 12 was taken up by a dog, but f this wasn’t the case we would have been seated at the bar. pro, they accommodated us if desired. overall our experiences was a 4.9.

Always one of our favorite restaurants in North Myrtle Beach! A great local spot for freshly made Italian food in an intimate setting. Our waitress, Alina, was fantastic and provided top-notch service! They do not have much capacity so I would recommend making reservations in advance, which they happily take over the phone. We can’t wait to visit again when we are in the area.

Delicious Italian food with a friendly waitstaff. This place is a go to in Myrtle Beach

We have now been here twice in the past month, and overall it is very good. Both times my husband has gotten the pork chop, once I got the lasagna and the other time I got the Chicken Sorrento. We’ve gotten the mussels, the stuffed peppers, and the garlic bread as appetizers. The food is good and we do enjoy coming here. I highly suggest that you do make a reservation. I have watched tables sit there completely empty for hours, while they are turning away walk-in business. So if you want to eat here, make a reservation.

Tried here for the first time. We had many friends tell us that the place was great. Everyone said, the menu is limited because everything is made fresh. So, we figured we would give it a try. We had a party of 4. Two of us had tortellini. In my opinion it was just okay and I understand I ordered tortellini so how good could it be. But that is my review. Service was good and the atmosphere was also good.

We sat at the bar for dinner, and the bartender, Sarah (and rest of the crew), gave us an awesome evening. We were dressed pretty casual, but it seemed like a place where you'd feel welcome in either PJs or a formal suit. We ordered a few appetizers, entrees, and drinks. The stuffed banana peppers and the risotto with the filet were my favorites. The prices were great for the quality--the food and attention to details (lit menus, bar plate blocks) were Michelin worthy. Everything was cooked perfectly and worth every penny.

This place comes up as Benny's car wash on your bank statement lol money laundering in plain sight much ??? lmao anyway the place needs a facelift it smells in there and the decor is old and outdated … we sat by the bar and the food was just meh. Women that answers the phone is also rude and needs a customer service classes. Won’t ever be going back.

First time here, and can’t say enough the food was so good. Our party of 6 all had chicken Alfredo which was not on the menu but was offered by waitress, and seriously wow… We will be back that’s for sure. Service was great. Really enjoyed ourselves. Food was good but not great. Bread should be included but there is a charge-got it anyway-it was good, but don’t think was homemade. Salad with blue cheese dressing was very good. Hubs had lasagna, good but not real flavorful. I had the chicken with eggplant, it was better than the lasagna. Even tho the snickers pie looked good (and it was) it was mostly fluff! Great service...with many smiles. Two of our party of seven were an hour late but we were kept in drinks and some great bread. Meal was delicious. I had the lasagna and could barely get through it. Nice. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

We have had a condo unit in Myrtle beach for two years and went here for dinner tonight and the food was delicious and the staff was very acomidating letting me switch what sauce was on the dish that I wanted

As a local (who’s a little younger than most locals ;) and always looking for the best restaurants here at the beach) and def a “foodie”— I have to give a rave review for Benny’s. truly it’s a hidden gem here in NMB and it’s hands-down my favorite restaurant in the area. from the food truly being homemade and not off a mass food truck to the service, it’s 10/10. When my girlfriends come down (I split time 50/50 between here and Charlotte) this is always our first night’s dinner bc we *love it* that much! :) it’s a hard time for all small biz’ and just wanted to make sure I left a review— if I could give 100/100 I would! lastly: order the mussels + bread + clam linguine + their wine menu is always great. xx

Had the best chicken rolatini carbonara that I ever had. My wife had the scallops putinesta and said it was excellent. We'll go back in 2 weeks and try something else. Highly recommend!

This place is so good. Classic vibes and atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Great suggestions and mods to the menu were offered. Fun cocktails and perfect wine selection. Food was delicious, tried a few dishes on different visits. Veal chop was next level.

WOW! This is such a hidden gem in Myrtle Beach!! The food and drinks I had were fantastic! (Get a chocolate martini 🍸 or 3 :) The ambience at this restaurant is so relaxing- perfect for any kind of get together. They have great hours M-Sat 4:30-10 pm. The specials change daily- even more opportunity to make your tummy happy! Try today and walk away with a smile!

Wonderful Italian food! This is a small restaurant, and the wait staff was really quick, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the lasagne, and it was just okay until I added extra sauce. It was 5 stars good! Their tomato sauce is AMAZING! My husband had the fish and said it was really good. They had blueberry cheesecake for dessert, and it was marvelous.

We went there with no reservation on a Saturday night, not realizing how intimate (small) the restaurant was. But they were able to seat us, even though they were quite full. The food was wonderful and plentiful, and the chef was willing to substitute chicken for veal in the "Denise" special. I love that the menu has only the specials, then they casually mention they have the standards - parmigiana, marsala, francese, spaghetti and meatballs, etc. also. Nice wine list. The staff was friendly and efficient. But the menu itself put this place over the top! It lights up! And the font is readable without reading glasses! My only drawback for Benny's is that they serve cold hard butter (a pet peeve of mine) in the little plastic packages. We will definitely be back!

Disappointed was here 2 weeks prior and the food was awesome. This time garlic bread never saw any garlic and chicken Marsala tasted like they dropped the black pepper into it. Brought it owner’s attention but his answer was same recipes as Bennys and same cook. Won’t be dining there in the future. People next to us had same experience.

Started with waitress telling us no specials then we hear her reciting specials to another table. Sauce cooked too much red pepper very dark. Eggplant had a lot of breading. Husband said lasagna was ok not the worst or best he ever had. Over all 3 stars

We had the Italian wedding soup, garlic bread, chicken carbonara (special request), and seafood lasagna. Everything tasted scratch-made and delicious! Cool folios for the menus and bill.

This was our first dining experience at Benny's and it certainly exceeded our expectations. Marisa, our server, was excellent with a winning personality and was most knowledgeable regarding our food, wine and anything else we threw at her. Our dining experience was awesome and we are so looking forward to coming back next year

While the food was "good", the service was sorely lacking. It was as if we were inconveniencing the server with our presence there (she hung at the bar with friends). Definitely not the experience we had a few years ago, and were expecting with our anniversary dinner. (No recognition of that either. ) All very disappointing. Terrible experience! Sarah, our server, was more interested in selling her homemade cheesecakes than taking care of her customers. Service was horrible and the food was not memorable. Sarah never asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything. We ask for bread and she brought it after we finished our meal. We were never offered water nor refills on our beverages. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.

Food was fair at best. First time I've seen Cocktail Sauce served with fried calamari in any real Italian restaurant. Much better options available in Myrtle Beach area.

We stopped here at the last minute on our way back to North Myrtle Beach. It was a bit pricey but the food was worth it. Not the frozen food cooked and served elsewhere but freshly made.

First time here and the Italian food here is on point. Highly recommend if you in the mood for real Italian food.
