Hands down this place has the best cook. Her beer cheese burgers are to die for. I'll be back in just for Gina's signature burgers!

My family ordered dinner from here while staying in the area. Everything we ordered was delicious and employees were super friendly. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Love a great hidden gem, you walk in thinking it's a dive bar ,but think again! This place is way classier than menu and appearance. The menu has expanded, the outdoor area has expanded and not to mention how nice the server/bartender was as well as inviting, I'm fortunate to be able to order lunch from here often cuz it's so affordable I don't think I can go to fast food for the same price. Weekly specials also killing it! Must stop by

Awesome place. Locally owned and operated. Food was amazing too. I got the Chicken philiy sandwich. Their outside lounge area is awesome too. They have an area for live bands and a place to play bags when the weather is nice. Also they have cherry bomb blonde on tap which is hard to find out this far from the quad cities. Edit Feb 2024. Went back! Still great food!! 2/3 lb burger was amazing! Recommend the pretzel bites in beer cheese! Wings were amazing too!

This is actually an update. This place has really improved over the last couple years. They have put some money into the outdoor area and it is very nice. I have always loved the food here and the service is always fantastic

We were a regular. Went there yesterday, 12/10/23. Walked in and like 2 times before, we sat there waiting for service. Looked like 1 guy was cooking and no bartender or server. He didn't bother looking up. We got up and went to Court Street Pub. We'll think twice before coming here again. Too bad, the burgers are good.

Food is great for a tiny dive bar. Plenty of TVs to watch the game.

Solid service and food. Drinks have a great value. It’s a sandwich/burger and beer type of spot. Sports on the tv, nice patio. Dog friendly on the back patio!

While it is bar food, it still wasn't great. The place was all but empty, but the music was as loud as a full bar on a Saturday night. One of our burgers came out not even close to what was ordered. Service was slow for no busier than they were.

This is a must stop if you’re in Ottawa. The Beer Cheese Bacon Burger was AMAZING. Homemade beer cheese sauce? Yes, please. We went on a Saturday night and it didn’t get crowded until after the supper hour. Perfect for us. Awesome food & awesome staff.

Great Burger and great service.

As usual crowded but well behaved. Bar crew is top notch and the new owners are doing a great job. Can't wait for warmer weather for live entertainment on the patio. Burger special on Monday.

First time being there, had the moonshine burger and it was AWESOME! Staff was really friendly and prompt with service and refills. Had a good selection of hard alcohol on the wall. Would recommend going here and grabbing food or just having a few drinks with friends.

Decided to pop in and was pleasantly surprised. Indoor and a large outdoor area, both have bars. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere especially when a band is playing.

Other then being cold where i was sitting, everything was nice. Food was good and the lady serving was nice when she came around.

Good Food, Great Drinks and Awesome Hospitality

Great atmosphere, drinks are on point, and the food is delicious. Had some appetizers (breaded pickle spears and house made chips and beer cheese). This was our first bar&grill we came to on our wedding day in 2020 and we will be coming back again many times in the near future.

Burgers were really good, service was great. Music was a little too loud. We couldn't hear each other talk across the table and had a hard time hearing the waitress. The one man band/singer they had was awesome. Great atmosphere!!!

I love this place. Me and my fiancé come here for lunch about once a month and a few nights a month for drinks. PAM is Amazing. She is why we come here. Her and Matt are amazing! Matt is always super accommodating. I recommend this place but ask for Pam or Matt! Great bar food and good people.

Had a good burger and great onion rings. I took off points because I had two really tasty Bloody Marys, but could not detect any alcohol, which is annoying. (I miss Texas in that respect, you always knew your drink would be worth the $) They were busy and service was slow, but I didn’t take off points for that, because that is happening everywhere. No masks, but I don’t expect that if I’m gonna choose to go out and eat inside. Seems a bit risky for the table wait staff though :(

Surprisingly great food. Great "bar" vibe, cheap drinks. Nothing spectacular or special, but does the bar gig to perfection.

This bar has come a long way. The history of this bar alone is worthy of note. I'm excited and happy for the continued LOCAL investment and effort that has been put in place of this local gem. I highly recommend this establishment both local and travel worthy.

We're out exploring Ottawa and found this gem. Great Staff, Good food. Good selection drinks as well. Place was jamming and had had a steady crowd come in. Enjoy a drink before hiking of of the parks

Good chill environment. Music was popping. Drinks and service great. Bathrooms clean, thats a huge plus! And outside games like cornhole😄👍 I will DEFINITELY be going again.

Berta's turned into one of the nicer bars in Lasalle county. Great staff, huge drink selection, and the back patio area is fantastic.

A bit premature to say given one, first visit, but I liked it pretty well. Great inside space and also an extensive outdoor area that is good for football but needs diversification like horseshoes pits. Outside bartender Joe was very good and made things fun, informative and efficient. I'll be there next Sunday.
