Omg, the food here was delicious, the atmosphere was great, but the prices were a little in the high end for what it was. I recommend the lamb chops.

Met a friend for a drink a couple weeks ago, and couldn’t stop thinking about the summer sangria, so came back for their Coolinary menu. Ceviche was great, watermelon salad was excellent, delicious fish with rice + beans + plantains, and ridiculously rich brownie dessert with dulce de leche ice cream. Great service & love the interior colors!

Disappointed. 1. Sangria: Delicious. I can have this everyday 2. Peruvian Ceviche: I am a big fan of Peruvian caliche, but not this one. I often add extra salt and pepper to meals, but the fish was too salty and sour and it numbed my tongues. I also can't eat cucumber, but they did not include within the list of ingredients. I had to ask for another dish, which couldn't finish because of saltiness. 3. Churrasco & Potatoes: I ordered medium rare then received medium well done. Wasn't a big fan of their chimmichurri neither. Potatoes were delicious. Could have been better. Service: They need another or more server. Atmosphere: Very Good!

Simple restaurant just off Canal, across from Saenger. Almost an unassuming place. Don't let that stop you; it was an amazing experience! Servers were welcoming and knowledgeable about the dishes. I had guacamole with chicarrones for appetizer and shrimp monfongo for dinner. Nice wine selection. I had an albarino that was very complimentary to my dish. It was such a fantastic meal, and the atmosphere was open, easy, casual. It just made everything that much better. Recommend to give and try then be amazed. It'll become a fast favorite!

A Latin tapas restaurant. I went on a weeknight, solo. Not busy. I was not overly hungry so ordered the grits and fish. Nice flavors, nice spice. Their menu is small but there is something for everyone. Not cheap but recommended.

The food tastes good, the quantity is very small, it seemed like a child's portion. I would not go back.

Absolutely enjoyed our meal. The pork arepas and tuna aguachile were great appetizers and the churasco was delicious. Service by Emily was kind and helpful. The spicy drink was top notch but all cocktails were tasty. Would definitely go back time we’re in town.

A must try and their happy hour is great. I only had a full day here so I did a lot of research and restaurants. This one came up quite a bit and didn't seem to be the touristy trap restaurant. I had my oysters and other things at those places but this place so far is great. I'm still eating so I'll add more as I go.

I have been here a few times over the years, and this place is great. They genuinely have some of the best ceviche I have had anywhere. I would recommend eating here.

Probably one of the best meals I've had in a long while. The fish and grits stood out amongst all the other dishes. The fried cauliflower had such layers of flavor to the relish that you kept going back for another bite. I can't wait to go back and try something else.

Was a wonderful brunch experience. I was finally able to get to taste mofongo, and it was delightful. The service was friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We stopped by just for the ceviche! It was wonderful, fresh, and flavorful. Perfect lunch for a hot day! We went for a late lunch and the restaurant was fairly empty, and our server was attentive and sweet.

If you’re looking for a quiet and cozy place for an amazing diner, this is it! We especially enjoyed the crawfish queso and the Peruvian ceviche. Cocktails were well made.

The food was extremely disappointing. Small portions and over priced for the quality. Either overpowering acidic flavor or under seasoned and not served at expected temperature. Decent place for afternoon drinks and the atmosphere was nice however service was slow seemed to be understaffed.

Okay, initially I was a fan of this spot and used to frequent this place once a week MINIMUM. Sit at the bar, grab a drink and some ceviche. The more I went and familiarized myself with the staff the cracks started to show. The owner disciplined staff infront of customers multiple times and it left such a bad taste in my mouth but I continued to attend because of the great conversations and service from staff! Specifically a bartender named Daisy. I recently found out that this bartender no longer works there and i’ve caught myself wanting to attend less and less due to the atmosphere, and the communication styles I’ve witnessed from the owner onto staff. It’s really unfortunate! I loved this place.

This was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Waitress was fire, drinks were fire, and the food was lava! We had a party of 6, 3 mofungos, fish and grits, the bistec y papas, and the lamb lollipops. All threw us out of the water! Tulane Med School, start taking all your guests here! (And also, if you're reading this, go ahead and go eat at Besame. Like, now)

Our bartender was the sweetest. The atmosphere was charming. It's a fancy spot that doesn't feel overtly fancy nor have those price tags with it. The food was delicious. Crawfish queso. I mean come on! My mezcal old fashioned was also divine. I had two! The paella was lovely and so was the other dish we had, can't remember the name.

What a great night we had at Bésame! Nanyo, Orlando and Venessa were fabulous hosts. The service, food, drinks and ambiance were outstanding. It was so good we went back a second time for a special dinner. Highly recommended this fabulous restaurant!!

The Oaxacan ceviche was refreshing and slightly smoky in flavor. The Mofongo followed and was perfectly savory and hearty as a start to the day. Great brunch option and a nice change of flavor for the area.

Our dining experience here was outstanding, except that it is a small place so when it’s full (as it was on our visit) it seemed very loud. But the food and service more than makes up for any drawbacks of the atmosphere. Arepas and fried cauliflower were both delicious, and the churrasco was perfectly flavored and prepared. A seasonal sangria topped off the dining experience. Service was excellent and speedy. I would definitely return—highly recommended!!

Everything about this experience was great. The cocktails were handcrafted and made with love. We started with the tuna ceviche/aquachile which was amazing. My wife had the Churrasco grilled steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and came out piping hot - it was absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp mofongo which was equally delicious. I had never had mofongo before - it's kind of like plantain cake. I highly recommend Besame and will go again.

This place is SO GOOD! Every single dish we ordered was 10/10 and we practically ordered the entire menu. Highly recommend their ceviches or aguachile. Cocktails are also outstanding. Will definitely be back.

Great lunch here today. The ceviche was very good, it had good texture, it had a bit of heat but didn’t come on too strong. We also shared the paella which was a modest portion but perfect for us to share. Our server who I believe was named Paola was just the right level of attentive. The bathroom was shared with another establishment and were clean and wallpapered with old life magazine covers which was interesting.

I have not written a review is quite some time but this place needs to be praised. I was simply looking for a restaurant near the theatre for an early dinner. This place fit the bill as it was the closest and had decent reviews online. I made a reservation online and last night we showed up. The very definition of a hole in the wall from the outside, but inside it was very nicely decorated. All of the food we ordered was delicious! Of the three appetizers we had I would say the ceviche was the favorite, but all of them were great. I could not decide among the mariscos soup, the paella or the fish and grits. Our server suggested I get the mariscos and it was superb! But, as I watched other diners getting the paella and the fish, I realized I just have to come back and try those as well. I really hope the city cleans up the construction mess all around the area and this restaurant gets a chance to really shine. Recommend 100 percent. I will be going back soon to try those other dishes.

For vegetarians, the Brussels Salad was amazing. Comes with feta cheese. My friend had the octopus salad and loved it. The Peruvian beans French press coffee was full of flavors.

Great place in an area that will hopefully see some revitalization. Great spot to catch before/after show drink and food as it's across from the Saenger Theater. Paella was done well and served in a perfect Tapas size. 👌 Sangria was the only downfall. 👎🏾

This place was so good, I ate there 2ce on my trip to NOLA. Little gem with an exquisite menu that isn’t overwhelming. Get there before lunch rush and dinner rush and you don’t need a reservation…but recommended.

The service was as good as the food, and that says a lot! It was very difficult to decide what to order, but I landed on the paella and loved it!! Gonna have to go back to try the steak!!

Oh my gosh!! This is such a hidden gem!! The food was absolutely phenomenal and the service was exceptional. We had the arepas and the steak which were awesome!

Absolutely will be back. Fantastic food. The ceviche is some of the best I’ve ever had. For starters, we shared the cauliflower (this is a must have for starters), and the crawfish queso (you can never go wrong with queso). For mains, I got the caldo de mariscos. Absolutely delicious. My group also had the paella, bofongo, and the fish and grits. Everything we had was nothing short of amazing. The staff was great and attentive.

Too many great restaurants in NOLA but addthisto the list, and a good diversion from seafood, etc.

One of the best latin themed meals I've ever had. Easily one of the top meals I've had eating through NOLA! The venue itself is relatively small and tends towards noisy, but that in no way interrupted the feast of delicious tapas. My group tried tapas including the guacamole (spicy, creamy, delicious) and the pork arepas (crunchy, meaty, incredibly flavorful) and were thrilled with the flavors! We also had a few main dishes where the highlight was the steak mofongo; it has a sauce that lights the mouth with spice with just a kiss of heat that lingers. We wrapped the night with tres leches cake which had an amazing yoghurt-based sauce that gave an acid touch to the sweet cake. The alcoholic bite to the sauce was subtle and a delicious lingering note as we finished our meal. As a general note I'd advise bringing good company and some patience! The food is worth the wait!

I stayed 2 nights at the HI Hostel, was so pleasantly surprised by the Happy Hour here. I got to come back each night for happy hour. Now I can’t wait to visit New Orleans again for this place alone. The food and drink were just divine. I enjoyed the crawfish queso one afternoon and pork tacos the other. Both late afternoon drinks were red sangria, not just poured out of a bottle, flavorful and well-made. I felt welcomed from the hostel just as if I had walked in on my own with a reservation. Seems like a great companion place to The Saenger Theater if you’ve got an event there. Do not miss. The chef comes highly recommended in New Orleans! Now I must try Tres Leches Cake!

뉴올리언스 음식이 좀 느끼함에서 벗어나 맛보는 스페인식 음식 퀘소도 소스가 크로우퓌시가 들어가 특이한데 좋고 튜나 세비체도 매콤하이 느끼함을 죽이고 파에야 1인용그릇에 작게 나오는데 약간 매콤하니 맛남 스테이크는 고기가 좀 질기지만 먹을만한정도, 감자랑 같이 먹으니 좋음. 시푸드에 질렸다면 괜찮겠지만 다음엔 다른음식을 먹어보고싶다. 상그리아도 잘 어울리고, 디저트 케이크는 신기하게 원한맛이 나는 케이크인데 입가심으로 추천한다. 약간 어둡지민 분위기도 나쁘지 않고, 서버도 일을 바쁘게잘해요. 5시 반이후에 간다면 예약하는편이 좋을듯

The steak and potatoes were some of the best in a city with lots of steak options.

We stopped in after the Wicked matinee at the Saenger. Everything we had was delicious from drinks to desserts. We knew we wanted to try everything so the decision was made to order dishes for the table to share. The standout drink in the group was the Bolivian Sour. It was the perfect blend of sweet and sour and it had some serious aesthetic appeal. We enjoyed the three tapas plates we ordered which were Crawfish Queso, Guacamole, and the Pork Arepas. We were all delighted with the spicy kick of the Guac, it really hit the spot. The Platos we ordered were Churrasco, Cochinita and Steak Mofongo. All were delicious but my personal favorite was the Churrasco, excellent Chimichurri and the Papas Bravas were the star of the table. Did we also order dessert? Of course! We shared the Maduros and Tres Leches. The standout for me was the citrus-mint crema on the Tres Leches. We loved the vibe, the colors and decor were bright and airy. We loved the Trumpet chandelier. The staff were all welcoming and friendly and we would absolutely return to Besame in a heartbeat.

food was fabulous, great for large parties and casual settings. near lots of great places and more of a hidden gem if you want to escape the crowds. paella was so flavorful, had a green broth with shrimp and mussels. ceviches were very tangy and flavorful, the veggies like most in the area very greasy and flash fried or battered. tasty

Food was very good. Different spicy spin on traditional paella, cocktail selection. Above par. Ambiance was very loud.

The drinks and ambiance are the best parts of the restaurant. The crawfish queso dip was cold. It tasted good, but was cold and not the right consistency. The two folks who got paellella were pleased, but the mofongo folks were not. I got the fish and grits, and it was so salty. The portion side of it was good, but so salty. One person had to send their fish back, because it was overly salted.

We had the tuna ceviche, steak and potatoes, and shrimp and grits and EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. The freshest flavors and best combinations of flavors as well. The sangria reminded me of an iced mulled wine and was also tasty!

Great place for Latin American tapas!! Food was delicious. Only downfall was the place was super loud. Hard to hear everyone talking at table.

My friends and I were looking for some good Latin food around our hotel near bourbon street. We came across Besame and we were not disappointed. Food was phenomenal. The owner is a foodie and most of his dishes are fusions of different cultures foods to make one amazing dish. Customer service was stellar. We were treated like family. I highly recommend visiting Besame if you are in New Orleans and looking for a change from all of the fried food.

We stopped in around 730 on a Saturday and got a seat right away(people leaving for a show). Have the Peruvian ceviche was very good, nice change from all the fried food elsewhere. Our main dishes were equally good as the appetizer.

Came in for lunch and could not have been more pleased! Every dish was excellent. We could have eaten several of the Crispy Cauliflower dishes. The Peruvian Ceviche was great, loved the Pork Tacos and the drinks were mixed well! Don’t miss this place!

We had an awesome date lunch here on a Fri @2pm and it wasn’t too packed, service was amazing & so was the food. Ambiance and music are so solid. Really felt out of nola which was super cool. I will 100% be back!
