Not very clean, there’s dust everywhere. I’m also looking at the post to an hi top and there’s gum all over it. Ordered oysters they didn’t have them, no biggie instead a shrimp PoBoy. Stale bun with 5 shrimp, small ones (40/50 size). Cocktail sauce was in a soufle cup and was dated 8/11, today is the 36th of August. It was really watery and made the bun wet. Handmade fries but one is hard from a bad spot in it; I left that one. Asked if they have sangria as in make sangria server had no clue what that is. Lol. Asked for a glass of Merlot—- never received it.

So nice to sit with a beer and look over the water. We're local so we have never stayed here but the people are nice and the atmosphere is a good vibe.

Sweet little bar/restaurant right on Lake Panasoffkee. Casual dining with emphasis on fish and fried foods. We tried the French fries; unusual and delicious! I had a glass of cold white wine on this warm summer afternoon. Attentive server. We will come back for dinner some night. Inside and outside bar/tables.

Great place to get good food. Their gator bites are probably among the best I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back again sometime in the future.

Catfish fillets were small and thin. Hasn't been here in 3 years. Disappointing. I'll give them one more try before taking them off my list.

We have been here several times since moving to Florida. The food is good, the service is wonderful, and you can't beat lakefront dining.

We came from Dunnellon to try it out and the place isn't bad but it isn't the greatest either. I guess we expected a bigger more impressive place for the advertisements but it's small inside and the outside is not overly spacious. I guess we were expecting more like Crackers in Crystal River but not close. They did have a band playing outside. The decor was more bar type and seemed more like it catered to bikers, bar folk and just your typical drinking crowd. We sat inside and even inside the temperature was pretty hot in the restaurant. The menu was a bit disappointing for someone that doesn't eat seafood, pretty much everything is fried and there's a couple sandwiches or a steak. I had the fried chicken fingers which were pretty good, the weren't cheap frozen types. They were homemade little over done, the batter was a bit too dark and crispy but it wasn't bad. The fries were some weird spiral thick steak fry/potatoe wedge thing which I didn't care for but my husband thought were ok. The homemade ranch was really good for the dipping. My husband had the fried shrimp. Which was a decent portion and the shrimp were large. They only had plastic silverware to eat which i wasn't a fan of. Wondered how that would've worked if i got the steak, would I get real cutlery? Server was decent. The prices were also decent for the food I thought. They did have a boat ramp but it looked closed and roped off. There was a dock and a couple boat slips. Overall if you're on the lake and want some fried food or some alcoholic drinks, not a bad place to stop. However I wouldn't make a trip to come here like we did after seeing advertisements for it.

This is one of our favorite places in central Florida. Almost everything is perfect, especially the fries. Being next to the water is always a plus.

Didn’t have what we wanted. The drinks were flat. It was very hot and our Waitress was not helpful. She didn’t even come back to make sure everything was ok. I had to ask another waitress for a new drink. The flies were awful. We were not even offered an apology and had to wait forever to get the ticket. Because our waitress Shannon took off and she was the only one that could ring us up. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We were the first customers when they opened up. They were out of gator bites. Which was the main reason for going there.

First time visiting and have lived close by for over 20 yrs. Crab cake sandwich and fries were delicious. Great music outside.

Cool, waterfront , true old Florida restaurant and bar! Great family friendly atmosphere, menu includes frog legs, cat fish, and gator bites. My steak sandwich was top notch. 2ish miles off of I75, totally worth the side trip!

The location was extremely convenient as we could pull up with the boat directly to the restaurant The food was great we are here for a four-day fishing trip and eat lunch here everyday.

I love Big bass grill. And it's the only place that has a band , on the water. And I get the fried catfish.

Got the po-boy shrimp sandwich it was ok at first kinda dry, then I added the coleslaw on top of it and omg amazing… took the sandwich to the next level!!! A must try just add the coleslaw on top of it …!!!!

A little out of the way hole in the wall place that is absolutely worth visiting. Service was a little slow, but it was a Sunday, after church visit; along with a waiting line crowd, so I cut them a little slack for the slow service. It is very rustic. It has a large covered outdoor dining area, too. My wife had their catfish, which she said was one of her best, ever, and I had a Philly Cheese steak sandwich, which was also very good.

Great place on the lake. Our waitress was on top of everything and friendly. Food was very good.

The food has deteriorated over the past 3 years we have been going. 5 people for lunch on a Monday. All 5 Fries were cold and limp, 3 Mac and cheese was cold, chicken finger order was prepared wrong and waitress asked if we wanted it the wrong way or prepared the way ordered. We asked for the order the way we ordered it, chicken fingers were fried to brown and dried out. At this point there is no use to complain to anyone. We paid our bill and will not return. The Cole slaw was good.

Had fried green tomatoes, fried catfish was amazing and the Louisiana boiled basket had plenty of spice and flavor. Great waitress Kimberly.

Our first time there, I ordered boiled shrimp, a pound, with NO SEASONING. The drinks took forever and food followed. I saw my shrimp had reddish seasoning soon as she set them down and disappeared. I caught her attention after I tried one, they were seasoned very HOT. She took them back and spoke of a new pound UNSEASONED. She returned with shrimp that had been washed, as best the cook could do.....to get the HOT SEASONING off. I caught her again and told her they were not right yet. My husband seeing my frustration, took the platter of shrimp and gave me his fish and chips, not to disrupt the others at our table. Waitress did not get it right! I didn't want a $7 discount as she put on the bill, I wanted what I ordered.

Not pleasant when you leave a restaurant hungry and disappointed. Today is Memorial Day, an important day for me to remember, and I like to bring my wife to a local place to celebrate those that are gone. Table we sat at we had to clean ourselves, pretty dirty, not a big deal. The waitress was not that pleasant but we were very respectful. Watched her hit up other tables but ours (bigger parties). We waited 20 minutes then just left to come home. Two hours wasted to go to this place.

Short staffed and busy, but real good service just took a while, but drinks service was immediate! GATOR BITES YUMMY AND BEER WAS COLD. HARLEY-DAVIDSON ALL OVER. LAKE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR AND SERVICE OR FAMILY 🐕 ARE ALLOWED OUT ON THE PATIO.

First time here and had a great time! Friendly and efficient staff, clean clean bathrooms!!! Good food, my gin n tonic was great tasting ...the tonic was fresh and crisp! Had loaded ff's with Glenns sauce, Delicious! Next visit...grouper! Will come again, often!

Excellent fried mushrooms! Fried catfish dinner is a good portion with two large fillets. Angus burger was juicy and fresh. Fried grouper sandwich was delicious. Some of the fries were a little undercooked but overall still yummy (and it was a busy afternoon). Great atmosphere overlooking the water

Got the Cajun seafood boil. Wasn't what I expected but still really good. I heard the grouper bites were amazing. I'll try those next time!

Great local pub that caters to both bikers and families. We were there for lunch but I have to believe it is a party after dark

The food was good and they had a band that evening. The waitress was slow and slightly on the rude side, although she may have been new, so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on that. , was a satisfactory experience.

We had a large group of about 14 with 8 different tabs... Ashley was awesome... Music was great too!

Absolutely disgusting shrimp boil meal! Don't buy it. The menu tells you it comes with fries and coleslaw. It does not. You get 7 shrimp 4 tiny slices of sausage (about 1/4) and it is burnt, 1 tiny boiled potato and a piece of corn that is equivalent to 1/3 of a cob. Don't eat any of it before you complain (even though they take 15 minutes to check on your meal) because they charge you for half of the food even though you didn't eat it. Do not recommend this place for food. Atmosphere at bar was great and the waitress was excellent. This was the manager and the cook that caused the disappointment.

GET THE GATOR BITES AND CHICKEN FINGERS!! i swear by them. people in these reviews complaining about cleanliness on the patio .. what do you expect? right by the water and lots of trees where things blow everywhere, plus YOURE OUTSIDE! i loved the vibe of the place. gave me a very country type of feel and i love it. food was great. music was good but slightly too loud so we sat inside and the volume was fine. i liked the plastic utensils because i don’t have to worry about other people using them before me (i’ve had instances in other places where they bring me dirty glass utensils) so i felt very safe here. staff is amazing and really make you feel at home. def coming back!

Ok place on the lake We ordered food, and they handed us a list of food they didn't have. Said they had a big weekend. Tables are kinda old but Ok. Service was good once we got a waitress. Inside looked nice too. This is a motorcycle friendly place.

So good, we came to eat here two days in a row! Special shout out to Leah!! Took good care of our puppy and us!! Fish dip, Fried oysters and Steak sandwich...all were wonderful! Kudos to the Chef. Great view too.

Visited on 3/15: Server was incredibly nice. Husband enjoyed the oysters. Everything else was “eh”. Fried green tomatoes seemed to be over battered and not fried all the way through. My chicken sandwich also did not seem to be fried all the way through, but it wasn’t pink inside just “tacky”, which I didn’t know was a texture chicken could have? Husband ordered blackened fish, received fried. We sent nothing back, so no harm against the establishment for not fixing it as we didn't bring it to their attention, however first impression wasn’t great. Probably won’t go back for a second attempt, but tons of people so they must enjoy the place!

Been several times always had terrible service. Finally on this trip got great service by Vickie. Things looking up, not so fast.... I'll have another beer, actually that was the only one we had. Thanks. Being a good server she went and searched and found another brand that they had one of. Check comes and after I pay I notice 3 items were over charged by a dollar each, and that was from memory without a menu to look at. Server apologized while saying they have a couple different menus....are you kidding me? So off she goes to tell the manager. No one ever comes to apologize or offer a drink or anything. So you think you want to eat here..... Believe the reviews, management has been blaming the help for 2 years I know of. I know why you can't keep help. Btw, I have left this review previously and somehow it disappeared. Go ahead and attack me like the others that leave negative reviews.

It was a off night. Not crowded food was fast.iam sure this place gets cranking when the weather gets nice with it being on the lake

We had a party of 10 and we sat outside by the water. Skyler was our waitress, and she was great !! Very prompt and helpful with recommendations for our meals. My wife and I ordered the Cajun boil for 2 and it was very good, however, it was a bit lacking in quantity for 2 people. Would have given 5 stars if the Cajun boil was a bit more plentiful. I also ordered a fried oyster dinner and was glad I did due to the less than expected serving size of the Cajun boil. The oysters were awesome. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their meal and the buckets of beer were icy cold !! Thanks again to Skyler for a job well done.

I'm a vegan so there not many choices. I had the deep fried mushrooms and they were tasty. Really liked the set up there

Went to BBG for dinner Saturday night. Walk in and then waitress said seat yourself's, we couldn't find a clean table, so we cleared it and sat down. We waited 15 minutes and Noone came to the a ke drinks or anything. We did talk to other diners as well that were complaining about service. We got up and left. Never to return.

The food was pretty good. The service was less than stellar. May have just been a bad time.

Food was not edible. The grouper sandwich had an unidentifiable stench. My husband's fries tasted of fish. The server was pleasant but we waited 45 minutes for inedible food. Do not waste your time or money. See response from restaurant to first review. They answered faster than we got our food. Hmmmmm!?

We got there after opening and were not that many customers. Service was at the beginning a little bit slow, but after that, our server Takisha was great and fast.

Nice place but I ordered a pot and it was cold when I got it

Today was the first time eating here. If it had zero stars would have gave it to this restaurant. Started out with when I went to sit in the booth it dipped way down like it was broke. Waited atleast 10 minutes before anyone realized we were there ( and it was empty). Being served with plastic baskets, paper plates, and plastic fork and knife was very disappointing. A sit down restaurant you expect a little better. We ordered the caprese salad to start. Server didn't tell us they were out of basil and the cheese was sour. Next we ordered the shrimp salad grilled with blacken seasoning. We asked the server how big the salad was and she said it was big. The bowl was big but not much salad in it, shrimp was cold with very little seasoning, and the lettuce was dirty. Has to send that back. Asked the server what the soup of the day was and she wasn't sure if they even had soup. The server had no idea about the menu, what went on it, how it was cooked. We ate the cold shrimp because we were hungry but they could have had that back too. They took the price of the salads off and the caprese but still charged for the shrimp. They didn't ask if we wanted anything else. Definitely will not recommend or return there.

I used to think Cissy was someone that people just like to pick at, until we went 3 weeks ago and on my hamburger, looked like some ate half of it. And when my husband texted her, she banned us from her place. Honestly, she has banned so many people. I am surprised she is still open. Now, she thought I was rude before I was gonna say. Don't get any mixed drink or drink that requires ice. My husband saw folks using a bucket that was gross with dirt being used to fill the ice bins. Not mention dead frogs in the ice. And her cooking oil, can you say cross containination. She only changes one of the three friers. Seen the drop frozen catfish in the dirt and just laugh and use them anyway. Now she can be mad with me. Peek into the kitchen before you eat there.. and do a Health Report check..

Down from NW Indiana ,Jerry of Tom and Jerry's air boat tours took us to Big Bass and the food is out of this world. Frog legs and onion rings are the best I have ever had. So good I went back 4 times for the same thing. Back in Indiana now but missing the food.

Restaurant is located on a lake. It is located inside a trailer park area and seems to cater to motorcycle patrons. It took a while to get the menu and then they were out of several things including grouper, chicken, fried pickles etc. We placed our order and it took another 25 minutes to get the food. And, the waitress forgot my fried green tomatoes.

A long way to get there nut the drive was worth it

Definitely will go back, with our little dogs, and priority #1 is to Enjoy the atmosphere!

9 of us dropped in mid day on a Sunday. Management shared with us due to low staffing and new employees service was slow.... We were immediately seated inside. Restaurant definitely has character! Fun! Food was good and reasonably priced. Nice menu selection.Wait staff did their best.And all things considered they did pretty well And they were busy. Live music outside. We'd go back

Onion rings greasy waitress was good but she quit before we could give her a tip. So we followed her out and gave it to her. We won't be back after was told why she quit.

Great old timey Florida lake place. Very authentic and not like the artificial Villages places. Catfish was the best fried fish I've had since shore lunch on Lake of the Woods in Canada. Staff were friendly and sweet as you'll find anywhere. Saw a large murder of crows out on the fishing pier after lunch.

Our orders were messed up, service was slow, the mixed drinks were very expensive, and my Cajun Boil was a joke. - An unseasonedd boiled potato, piece of unseasoned corn and some shrimp with some season sprinkled on after it was cooked. Of course, after I peeled the shrimp all the seasoning was gone.

Dry over cooked hamburger. Had to take a sip of lemonade with each bite to swallow. Undercooked frozen French fries limp and soggy. Took an hour to get meals.

Good food with live music outside.

Wasn't that busy. My husband and I sat at the bar for 15 minutes. Never got service. The woman behind the bar was overwhelmed and frustrated. A group of 5 guys left because they couldn't get service after their original beer. Very poorly managed.

Decided to stop here on our trip rather than fast food like usual...we were def not disappointed, the lake is beautiful, the waitress and the girl she was training were super friendly, the food is sooo fire, the big bass sauce is amazing, got the burger and fried pickles, sooo good. The liquid marijuana drink tasted like candy and gave me a buzz after 1 drink like this is our new monthly tampa trip spot.

This was a chance stop for a late lunch on our way home from a trip. It is right on the water and has a great old Florida feel. Food was good bar food, and service was okay but a little hectic. The surprise was the karaoke setup and number of people that sang. This is clearly a local hot spot. As we were leaving, it was getting very busy. Give it a try...

Worse food all 6 of us have ever had. Served cold. Will not be returning.

I'm from out of town, saw this place on a billboard. We had an absolute blast!!!! 2 of us had the Cajun sampler, I had the fried catfish, and 2 others had the Angus burger. All our entrees were cooked exactly as we expected.

We had an okay time but the food and service was very poor.

Waited an hour for a menu then the waitress was so rude we decided to just leave and not order anything. Too many great places to eat in Florida to put up with bad service.

The food and atmosphere here is great. Service the first time was great. Will go back and try again.
