Big Bear Po Boys are the best in the area and Legend. Their portions are grande with amazing flavors especially the BBQ roast beef. Prices are at market. It's not really for dining in but for those grabbing a poorboy or burger for lunch they do offer a few tables outdoors with umbrellas. I would highly recommend for on the go burst of flavor deliciousness. 👍

Hands down the best roast beef Poboy this side of the Mississippi. I mean, there's good roast beef Poboys out there, but ain't a Big Bear! Once a week!

The food is outstanding, and those working gave our kids one of their homemade cookies, which was great. If you want a roast beef poboy, this is where you should go. Seating is limited and outside only.

Stopped in here for a late lunch and wanted to try the place out. The sandwich was good except for the fact that the bread was overtoasted to the point that there was burnt spots. Would have gotten a five-star review had they had a little better quality contro,l and when I went it was late in the afternoon and there was no crowd so they can't say they were busy. The roast beef was good enough to make up for the burnt bread hopefully if I go back next time I won't get a burnt sandwich.

So glad we have Big Bear Po-boys in Mandeville! The Covington family restaurant has certainly been the go-to for many years but living in Mandeville, downtown Covington is inconvenient to get to on a quick whim. The best po- boys around are put out by this family and their restaurants!

This was a darn good po boy! Got a half sandwich with chips and it was more than enough for a lunch meal. Crew was super friendly and helpful. I was on a work trip, but would definitely recommend and will have it on my list whenever I’m back!

I’ve seen a lot of places opening, claiming to be bears poor boys. This place really does taste just like a bears bowl boy with the right recipe . My only complaint they only do shrimp Poboys on Friday.

Great Roast Beef Po Boy to go. Just what you think of when want a good sloppy roast beef. Friendly and courteous service.

From the moment I called to order, the service was awkward, then when I got there, it turned to downright rude. I asked if they could dress only half my poboy & they said it would be too hard for them to do that. Fine, no problem. So I asked them to just dress it on the side. Apparently, they didn’t like that too much! They didn’t tell me they were going to charge me extra to put the lettuce & stuff on the side, but they sure did charge me. Then when she told me my total, I ran my Apple Pay, went to sign the receipt, and it was way more than the total she told me. She just failed to mention that she was charging me a service fee for using a card. It also was not noted on any signs at the counter. $25 for one dry poboy and an order of limp, cold fries is absolutely LUDICROUS.

Wow! This is my first time coming to Bears after a year of living in LA. Not only is this the best poboy ive had but the roast beef is some of the best as well. I look forwatd to returning on a friday to try their shrimp poboy!

Great addition to mandeville. A lot like the covington location but no seating. I ordered early so food was ready to go. I am going to hate seeing it get so popular. I enjoy the short lines

I was so happy to see this open up in Mandeville. I work in Mandeville and when Bears in Covington started closing on Saturday's that meant no more Bears Roast Beef. I don't know the exact relation between Big Bears and Bears, but the Roast Beef at Big Bears is as good if not better and they are open on Saturdays!!!! I know they are located off the beaten path, but completely & totally worth it. Super easy to get to!! Go pick up an amazing Po-boy today!!! ***They have Shrimp Po-boys right now for Lent***

We just drove 10 hours straight to get to Louisiana and we were famished. We were looking for something small for lunch, since we have a larger dinner planned. Found this place recommended on the map, and decided a sandwich would hit the spot. When I say this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had… I mean that. I got the ham po’boy dressed and my fiancé got the fishing sandwich (it does not have fish, think a Dagwood style sandwich with bbq.) Even the half sandwiches are good size. They are messy, fresh, stuffed to brim with toppings. You can’t eat these while driving down the road. Grab more napkins. More than that. There ya go. Quick service, very friendly, and we ate for $19 for two people. Highly recommend.

Awesome roast beef po boys! Brings back memories of the old Big Bears on US 190 in Mandeville. There was a long line of people every day at lunch waiting to get a roast beef po boy.

No place to sit and eat inside. Food was very good.

Consistently great grilled ham and Swiss cheese po-boys! Outstanding roast beef po-boys! But don’t come expecting to sit down and eat as there are only outside picnic tables.

So happy they opened a Bear's in Mandeville and I was not disappointed with my sandwich. They do not have seafood as they are working off the original Big Bear's menu when they were open in front of the hardware store in the little shed building. Best BBQ beef and best Roast Beef poboy hands down
