First time eating here and I am very impressed. The atmosphere is very cozy, the staff is kind and responsive, and it's very clean. I'm a recent liver transplant recipient and they had hand sanitizer on the tables and at the front. The seating is spacious enough so that everyone is not on top of each other. And the food was fantastic!

My mother and I dined at this restaurant tonight, and while the food was excellent, we encountered an issue with the payment process. The initial receipt indicated a total of $39.75, including taxes. However, after paying, my mother noticed the final amount on the receipt was nearly $5 higher. We noticed that the tax was charged twice. When we raised this with the server and manager, they claimed the discrepancy was due to an additional (third) drink, despite the fact that we only had water and tea. Even if this were accurate, the drinks were priced at $2.50 each, which would not account for the extra charge. We were unable to resolve the overcharge issue satisfactorily, as the staff indicated that addressing the discrepancy would require charging us again. Despite enjoying the food, this issue with billing has left us reluctant to return.

Loved coming to eat here. I got the lemon chicken. It was Very good. The wait staff is friendly although maybe has a hard time understanding English. I'm not sure. Our group had asked some questions and they were not accurately addressed so I'm not sure if that was a language barrier or what, but besides that there were no issues with ordering. Definitely swing by Big Bowl of your looking for Thai. You can't go wrong!

Best yellow curry I've had in a while! I really enjoyed the Thai spring rolls as well. Definitely going back soon! Edit: I'm still going here every time I crave Thai food. This is the most reliable place for great quality and wonderful service. Thank you all for what you do! Your hard work shows!

Why has the quality of the food gone down so bad in the last 3 months? My husband and I have been going for lunch and dinner with our 4 kids for years. We have always had a great experience until the last 3 times. I went with my parents and kids 2 months ago and noticed the quality wasn't as good, went back with my family maybe a month ago and the Thai red curry (my favorite,the only thing I ever order as an entrée) was so spicy I had to send it back. I had taken maybe 2-3 bites. I wasn't offered anything else (I am 100% willing to pay, but not if I can't eat it). We tried it again last night and I decided to order the Lemon Chicken because I've tried it several times from my kids and my dad when they ordered it. It was so dry, it was like it was forgotten in the fryer for an extra couple of minutes. The Chicken on the inside was almost like Chicken jerky, very dry and stringy. Please get back to the quality we love and appreciate. This is usually my favorite restaurant in Alabama legitimately.

Walked in for a take out. Menu had salad and fried bananas as a side for the curry dish that I ordered but the waitress said that was only for dine in, all I get is rice with a take out order. Same price though. Gave her a tip anyway but I don't think I'll be back. I will update my post once I've tried the food.

Very peaceful lunch. Beautiful and clean restaurant. Phenomenal service- attention to detail and fast! I ordered the chicken teriyaki box from the lunch menu. It was $17. I just expected more, especially from the food quality. Everything tasted off. If I came back I would try a noodle dish. But the food quality was off. Sushi tasted cheap and extra fishy, rice tasted like it had been sitting out, chicken was chewy and salad tasted like old lettuce. But I did enjoy the coconut soup! And I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and waiters. So kind.

Delicious Tom Kha (coconut base soup). Definitely recommend stopping by for some good Thai food. Can't wait to visit again and try out more menu options.

The restaurant was very clean and the waitress was very prompt with our menus and drinks and allow us time to relax and look over the menu. The food was amazing. We first had the crab ragoon and then for our main dishes, we had the chicken fried rice and fried lemon chicken. The food was delicious and we will definitely be visiting again.

Ordered the Big Tom Yum Chicken Noodle soup for takeout. Asked for it Thai hot. It wasn't like any Tom Yum soup I've ever had. More like regular chicken noodle soup. It had no spice or flavor at all. No lemon grass, kafir leaf or galangal flavor of any kind. If I had been eating there, I'd have sent it back.

They have menu's at the take out. They knew it was take out. When we ordered we were told it came with a side salad and fried banana. After paying, we received our order. We checked it. We were not given our side salads or fried bananas. When we brought it to their attention we were told it did not come with take out. The portions are also very small compared to other places. Some of the food was edible, but barely. My sisters dish made her physically sick to her stomach. I will not return to this establishment.

First I have to say they don't deserve that name. I eat Thai alot and this was the smallest portion I've ever gotten. The food was good though, had great flavor but the amount was ridiculous. How can you say big bowl when they are tiny. Service was okay, didn't seem very welcoming.

It was tasty but nothing spectacular, I'd say it's just an average Tai restaurant.

We get food here every time we are in the area. The quality of the food is good, unlike many other places around. The Pad See Ew is awesome and I usually get the Pad Woon Sen with chicken which is my favorite!

My holy grail. The prices are so affordable compared to other local restaurants - especially for the portion sizes. The coconut noodle curry was a real game changer, one of the most comforting meals I’ve had in a while. I have to try every restaurant’s pad Thai and I was pretty happy- delicious flavors and ungodly amount of noodles.

Ive had a little bit of everything from here and have been disappointed. My go-to is either the pad thai or the panang curry.

Big Bowl Thai was excellent! We ordered the Sumai appetizer, and it was delicious. We both ordered Pad Thai for our entree, no surprise there, but it was also fantastic. I called in our order, and it was ready within 15 minutes. The service was excellent, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Disappointed overall. Chicken Katsu was tough and chewy. Ginger dressing smells like fish sauce. Tom kha soup was extremely bland. Gyoza was rubbery. On the plus side, the egg noodle dishes and curries were tasty, but not really memorable.

I have been going to Big Bowl for years, and not once have they disappointed. They are perfect for intimate dates, or a quick family lunch! My go to order is the mild curry (with sweet potato and eggplant) or the coconut soup. The portions are generous and the price point is amazing!! When you go to Big Bowl you should definitely try the banana rolls, they are so good! The service is always quick, and the servers are very nice. If I could give 6 stars I would!

I'm going here a couple of times I get my nails done right next door and I really like the atmosphere it's nice and homey and the food is really good and fresh this is very clean establishment and I enjoy it every time I'm there I highly recommend them!

You're missing out on a great local eatery. My wife and I love the Pad Thai and my kids love the fried rice and just about any appetizer. The service is quick and it's typically a fantastic lunch stop. Don't rob yourself, go get a bowl.

The staff was very friendly and the service was outstanding. I really got the sense that the people there were working hard to earn business. I’ve told multiple people that I’d eat there again in a heartbeat. The best dish I saw that day was recommended by the waitress for my granddaughter. She had Teriyaki Salmon….so good. The meals automatically came with spring rolls, so no upcharge. Aesthetic presentation of the dishes was really well done. Sauces were delivered in shot glass containers. Price was great. We had four adults and a 9 year-old eat for $80, not including the tip.

This was by far the worst Thai food I have ever had and I generally love Thai food. The Tom Yum soup was especially bad and I had to return it. The supposedly spiciest dishes had barely any spice in them to even notice, but that wasn’t even the worst part.

I didn't care for the dish I had, but I also went off scrip and got soemthig I wouldnt normaly order, so that is my fault. They were busy, and everyone else liked their food, so I'll chock it up to my not choosing wisely. The service was ok. Not overly attentive, but not non-existent either. Prices were fair for lunch, and food came out fairly quickly. I will definitely give them another try when I come back to town.

I had the garlic pepper shrimp and although it was a bit heavy on the baby corn (I can do without it at all) the shrimp were large and in charge. The dish also has carrots, mushrooms and broccoli. Two sauces/dressings are served with your dish and the sweet one is amazing. It is very similar to a sweet and sour but appears to be an oily sauce. The salad is basic lettuce and carrot, nothing I early unique here. Spring rolls are awesome. The coconut soup is pretty awesome also. I've never had anything like it. It's a cream soup with onion greens and tofu. There may also be a little lemongrass floating around in there also. Good stuff!
