This place is great. My family always loves to come here and have been coming here for as long as I can remember. The burgers are great the fries are OK. I would recommend the fingersteaks as well!

I came in with a group of 25-30 people for dinner; Our waiter (Seth) was on top of it! He was very accommodating, all the orders were correct & did it all with a big smile. The establishment has a cozy, home town atmosphere. Food was good! 10/10 will be back!

Wow! Definitely worth the drive to Archer. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. The fresh cut fries, tater tots and onion rings are a must! Then to top it off, finish a huge meal with the best shake around! The service was outstanding!

Oh boy, what a great burger! We got cheeseburgers (not the Big Jud) and a basket of fries and we're not disappointed. This was a recommended spot and I can see why. When we're back in the area I see us coming back. The server was very attentive and kind.

If I could give a zero star I would! The cleanliness of this place was terrible! Trash as you walk in the front door and all over the floor. Also the service was the absolute worst ever experienced. Never spoken to when we walked through the door. Finally got sat and took at least 20 minutes to get the drink order and drinks given to us. Then we waited at least 1.5 hrs for the burgers we ordered! Took into consideration they were busy, however never was checked on while waiting for our food. We finally got our food it was cold and way over cooked. The burgers were disintegrating as we were eating them. Never checked on after was given our food. Did notice that the tables that got sat after us were getting food, drinks and checked on multiple times. Also the waitress was just as friendly as can be with them. Then finally got our waitress attention, asked for boxes. Waited over 15 minutes for the boxes. Finally had to get up and get my own boxes and asked for my bill. When at check out I mentioned that this was the worst experience ever and the waitress then decided to ask if we had anything fun planned. At this point ma’am it’s too late! Don’t be friendly at the end when you want a tip! Zero tip! And I am normally a big tipper but that was absolutely the worse customer service and food we have ever had. Will not be going back to any Big Judds at all! Also if I knew the gals name I would call her out! For sure needs either more waitresses or she needs to learn better customer service! Zero stars and worse $100 spent ever!

Big Jud's reminds me of Jughead from the Archie's comics. Down to earth location, homey and family-friendly. It is home of the Big Jud challenge. 1 pound or 2 pound hamburger with the fixings, toppings and french fries/onion rings. Took the 1 pound and could only finish half the burger, shake and fries. All was delicious!

I was in high school when this location was built. I've always enjoyed coming out here. As time has gone on, they've made a few changes that has lessened the enjoyment. They no longer do milkshakes out of the metal can. It's now done by a machine that has to use a smaller styrofoam cup. That was a huge hit for me. That was always one of my favorite things about Big Jud's. Nobody else in Rexburg did that. I was willing to drive out to Archer just for the milkshake. Then they went and did away with their pastrami burger. That one hurts. The Big Jud's in Ashton still has those two fave's of mine. For those two reasons alone, I'm willing to drive just a little bit further and go up north. If you add in the beauty around Ashton and it's bigger and more updated location, I now think that's the better of the two Big Jud's in the area.

It's a very small place but I would eat there again if I didn't live in Utah and the employees are so so nice I 100% suggest it there food is amazing but there might be a Long wait but it's still worth it

Take out and delivery seem to take piority with that ther bench to wait inside is and Made us wait outside for over 40 minutes. a server we do see half the time and food took forever, And when it came it was burned and overseasoned. Got a mushroom burger that didnt taste like the mushroom and Swiss it sounded like it would be good except cant tasted to swiss and mushroom had a unusual texture maybe overcooked never will go again even if you paid me i wouldn't. Wasnt will to try there shakes with out bad everything else was.

My father-in-law law and my wife kept telling me that I needed to try Big Jud's. One of the greatest place to eat a hamburger. Big Jud's is a famous place, they have a one pound burger and a two pound burger. Well I finally was able to try their burgers and I can not say anything bad. The meat is cooked to perfection, the dressing on the burger were all fresh. The lettuce was crisp, tomato was good. I added avocado to mine and even that was fresh. Can't wait to go again.

I placed a to go order around 80.00 with tip. I was told, "Your food will be ready In 15 to 20 min" 20 min passes no problem.... 40 min pass .... 60 min pass. I go up to the counter and ask um where's my food. I just saw a 15 top walk in after me and there was food served. The cashier shambles to look for the order and says opps I forgot to send in the order. It will be ready in another 15 to 20 min. I laughed with her and kindly asked for a refund. If I could leave a negative star I would.

What an absolute find. One of the best burger and fries I've had. And the salted caramel ice cream was the perfect finisher.

I have been on a quest for the best onion rings and Big Juds wins! There burgers are AH-MAZ-ING too!!! So fresh and seasoned perfectly. The milkshakes are top-notch as well. All around great food!

Great place to eat! The food is good and comes out pretty quickly. This place can get busy around dinner time but they try and get you seated as soon as possible. They clean the tables well and make sure they are cleaned before sitting down. Only complaint is their way of paying. They use an iPad style and the server just stands there when you put in the tip which feels a little awkward when they just stand there holding it while you're deciding a tip.

Road trip to try Big Jud’s and well worth the trip. Hawaiian burger was amazing!! Friendly atmosphere.

This is a must visit spot if you're anywhere near the area! A short drive out of town to get the best tasting burger I have ever had. The atmosphere is so awesome, no tourist trap, just the perfect little local burger joint out in the country with HUGE burgers and personality! Will definitely be back!

Everything was good, especially the onion rings. I could eat those by the boat load! The service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend Big Juds.

I mean it's a burger joint with bad burgers. Burgers were terribly dry, fries were soggy and not seasoned, tater tots were the only good food we had. Service was quick and waitress was nice but not a place I'd ever return to.

My family always gets the Man vs Food burger to share. It's HUGE but also extremely tasty. We get ours with pepperjack instead of blue cheese and it's absolutely amazing!!

I love their food. It's a favorite for any time we're in town. We love to bring someone new and let them take the challenge! Watching then try is almost as much fun as eating the fresh made delicious food. A 2lb hamburger with a drink and fries (a lot of fries) and get your picture on the wall of fame!

We have been there often . But yesterday we had graduation dinner , the Hawaii burger not good at all! Other burgers meat like over cooked ... it's not like use to be .. and more expensive!!

The hamburger was fantastic unbelievably delicious. The French fries were to die for. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the shakes were a little thin. Otherwise, the waitresses are so kind .

My son really wanted to go here for the plate-sized cheeseburger and it didn't disappoint! They were good quality burgers and the fries were yummy and fresh cut. Not the best hamburger I have ever had, but it was fun and still good tasting and satisfying.

The bacon on my burger was crispy, it was well cooked and had a perfect amount of blue cheese. Overall it was a great classic burger. A better and toasted bun might have improved it. The fries were great, fresh and homemade. Will go again!

I've been going to big Jud's since I was younger than I can remember and I love it every time. The burgers are amazing. Fries are plentiful and delicious and it's always a good time.

This place is the best. I eat here a lot a lot. Ethan and Tate are some of the best servers here. One time I had a server named Seth and his service was mediocre, but I think they fired him. But the best server I've ever had was a guy named Scott. He was fantastic he should get a raise. The food is great atmosphere is great.

Place was awesome! Tater tots was very good quality as well. Food came out in 5-7 minutes, very good. We ordered the 1 pounder and it was wonderful. Super worth it. Good for challenging yourself to get a 1 or 2 pounder or having your friends eat with you. It's about 25 bucks for 1 pounder so a pricey but super good.

First time there! Simply Amazing hamburgers

Went to Big Jud's. Ordered a bacon MUSHROOM burger. I got three TINY SLICED mushrooms on my burger. I asked the server for some more mushrooms and he was sweet and went away to get me some more. He came back and stated the cooks told him they were told to cut down on the mushrooms and that I would have to pay for my mushrooms. I literally got three little slices of mushrooms... so do not order the mushroom bacon burger. If you want three tiny pieces of sauteed mushrooms, I highly suggest not coming to the restaurant if that is an issue! I am not this type of person. I don't normally complain about food. In fact, if you look up most of my reviews, they're five star when I have a really great review, but not tonight. I'm really sad that this happened. I love big juds but won't be coming back to this location. Ashton wouldn't do this to me. Just a side note. I gave the service one star because the managers and the cooks! The server was amazing! He was sweet and kind and was embarrassed to tell me that I needed to pay to get more than three mushrooms on my mushroom burger.

The best food around! Fantastic burger and fries at a great price. I wish we lived closer, because we might need to plan a road trip to stop by again. After a drive through the countryside, we arrived at the cutest little burger spot. Glad we came on a weekday, as we were told it gets busy on a weekend (which we quickly learned why). Burger was great, chicken sandwich was delish, and the small natural cut fries were the best I have had in a long time, and just the right size for 2 people. Polished off dinner with some local ice cream (the kids scoop was just the right size). Staff was so kind, and we wish we had ordered an extra meal to go! A must visit!

I took my husband for the first time. At first the service was good, but as soon as our order was taken and our drink was brought to the table, our server didn't come back to our table until no joke 37 minutes after we finished eating. So from when he brought us our one drink and then checked on us again, it had already been about 55 minutes. This was frustrating because we watched him serve a table all the way through (taking orders, getting drinks, giving food, and preparing ice cream) before he remembered we were there. All we wanted was a refill and to order some ice cream. Moral of the story, don't go unless you are okay to only have one drink and to just sit and wait. Maybe take a big group so you get their attention. The food was delicious though. The ice cream is way expensive for how little you get so be aware of that.

We had an excellent time with our family. Our waiter was phenomenal and the atmosphere was super fun. The food is always delicious. It is a little ways out of town but COMPLETELY worth it! Would recommend their Mushroom Swiss and if you are up for a challenge they have a 1 or 2 lbs challenge.

Great food and great service for a small business that is locally-owned and operated.

The burgers and fries were amazing! The fresh cut fries were really good We couldn't get enough of them and the fry sauce, The portions were really big too! We ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and the Hawaiian burger and enjoyed both of them, and then we got some huckleberry and mint chocolate chip ice cream or dessert.

UPDATE: My son clicked on Google Maps today while eating and saw that we're here wayyyy too often. But it's our favorite, and our go-to for visiting guests. Recently added antique signs for sale, and tablet-based payment. Replaced Reed's ice cream with Glacier ___ brand. ------------------ Great burgers. Great chicken. Great onion rings. Great tots. Best fries you'll ever eat. This place is a landmark, attracting families and tourists and students and everybody--despite being pretty far off the beaten path. Worth the drive! We eat here all the time and bring every out-of-town guest here. Try the Hawaiian burger, which is my go-to. Be sure to order a large rings, as they'll get eaten up quickly. Servers are Rexburg-typical super-friendly and hard-working.

There are two Bid Jud's locations, so definitely come to this one in Archer it's way better. Best burgers in Rexburg area. Just a double patty burger and you'll be full. Their tater tots are also quite popular, and of course their 1 or 2lb burger, which is enough to share between 3-4 people. If you order to go they prepare the food really really fast. If you dine in it usually take quite a while to get the food.

Love their big burgers. Had the fries.and had them cook longer so they were nice and crispy. The staff was great.

The burgers here can be massive, but I prefer to get the smaller burgers. The fries and tots here are really good as well. We come once or twice a year to enjoy these great burgers. The mushroom burger is top notch. The milkshakes are really good too.

Nothing beats the nostalgia and exciting big burger diner experience better than that of Big Jud’s. Adding bacon to the Big Jud special was a delicious addition last time out with our family. Highly recommended.
