Very nice place the host of that place was super friendly and the food was delicious

I and my family have been eating Big T'S barbecue for years. If you want a darn good meal for a reasonable price this is the only place to go will not regret it. The barbecue melts in you mouth and the mustard base sauce is the perfect addition. They have a wide selection of food and it's all good 👍

Unfortunately I don’t have pictures, but pictures would not do this place justice anyways! We originally drove out to Scott’s family bbq but unfortunately they were still closed following the passing of the mother. A quick search led me to Big Ts and me and my fiancé were not disappointed one bit! From the delicious sweet tea down to the delicious sauce that enrobes the special whole hog bbq they serve. This was my first introduction to South Carolina hash and it was just an umami bomb of pork flavor hitting my taste buds from every angle. The sides as well are just as amazing, we had the potato salad and mac and cheese and they were both great. Do yourselves a favor and drive out and get you some of this amazing bbq as you will not be disappointed when you get your first taste of that magical golden mustard bbq sauce!

So, I’m visiting family in Gadsden for the Holidays and asked for some “good” BBQ Big T’s was PERFECT. I loved their generous pulled pork sandwich, had hash and rice for the first time and I’m almost embarrassed how fast I ate it, I topped-off my order with some of the most delicious fried wings EVER!

Built up an appetite walking in the nearby park & found this recommendation. It's in the middle of a residential area, small dine in area, noticed many people were eating in their cars or had take out. Food was fabulous, wonderful people, just what we were looking for. As they say: "you can't eat atmosphere..."

Loved it. So perfectly South Carolina, and so so good. An excellent place to go after Congaree, or any time else, it's that good

Food is good, service is sometimes slow, but that is because of the crowds.

Portions are huge. No dining in so we ate in the car and the food was piping hot! I love Mac and cheese when done right and hate it when it's not done right. Their Mac and cheese was so good piping hot. The fried chicken and collard greens are also delicious.

They have some rude people like in Columbia one them young people act like we can’t get what we ask for even when we see it cause they don’t want to go cook more wings. The other one with the older people sometimes act like they don’t want to cook the chicken and bbq good sometimes if it’s not hard. But hope they get help or do something

After a long day of hiking at Congaree NP I searched for BBQ places hoping there was something nearby to satisfy my need for meats and carbs. Oh man, was I not disappointed. The folks working were quick, kind, and answered the questions i had about the menu without missing a beat. The portions were insanely generous, and very reasonably priced! I wish I lived closer so I could come back again and again. This place is an absolute gem.

If you're visiting Congaree NP, this place is an absolutely MUST. It is such a gem. The folks who work there are so lovely and welcoming and everything I got was insanely delicious.

Friendly joint. BBQ over rice, traditional sides. Building isn't much but the staff and food are amazing. Visiting the National Park? Head here after your hike.

Original restaurant; lots of parking; take out only at this time; excellent experienced, professional and courteous service. The food was well seasoned, beautifully plated, and reasonable priced. The location is rural, but somehow people find it - well worth the drive. I highly recommend the restaurant.

I have eaten here before they are closed on Sunday at this location I had a flat and pulled into their parking lot to change it their barbecue pulled pork is very good I always love their coleslaw but did have one bad experience with it not being very good but of course this was during covid outbreak and who knows but everything that I have eaten there has been very good and tasty

This was the best bbq I’ve had in the longest time! This is spot on classic South Carolina bbq! The staff was super sweet too, will definitely be coming back!

I would highly recommend that you stop by if you’re in the area. We’d been looking for properties in the area and after a few hours I’d reach starving point. We were going to wait until Cola to get food but I saw Big T’s and the better half knows how I get when I’m hungry and quickly pulled in. The woman that greeted us was friendly, explained the menu and took our order. We exchanged a few pleasantries, got our food after a quick wait and proceeded to the car to eat due to Covid restriction that they followed and we appreciated. We settled down for a car pic nic, but as soon as my to go meal was placed in my lap, I realized I’d made a huge, and amazing mistake! Thank god they packed it to go, cause there is no way I could eat all that. Every side size was comparable to a lizards thicket double or maybe triple side. The collards were amazing! All of it was amazing. I got home and took a marker and put my name on my left overs box. It’s just the 2 of us but I didn’t want it to be a midnight snack and start a fight in the morning. Anyway, that was 2 days ago and I just finished the last of it for lunch. Great people, great place and great food! You can’t get food like this in Columbia unless your grandma’s cooking it!

I've eat at Big T's for over 35 years and today was my first time getting bad food and when I took my plate back in and told the lady that my rice wasn't done, all she did was get me a plate with NO rice and hash and gave me a plate with a small portion of barbeque and 2 small sides of mac and cheese. I paid for a Little T plate but was not expecting that. I've always received GREAT food from there and I hope this is just a onetime thing.

I took my husband on a 3 mile hike on his birthday in the Congaree National Park. It was beautiful and we had never been nor had we ever been to Gadsden, SC. I looked up bbque to eat and Big Ts popped up....amazing smoked bbque and friendly owners. Probably the best we ever had and the collard greens. This was good ole smoked bbque and the hash and rice was the real stuff.

Doesn't get much better than this! They cook over hickory almost everyday of the week and "import" their Q to the two Columbia restaurants. But why do when you can go to the "mother ship" in Gadsden and get it fresh off the smoker! Best of all, you'll meet Bit T too! And don't forget to pick up a bottle of Mr. T's Original Sauce in leading grocery store chains in SC! One of the best BarBQ restaurants in the Palmetto State!!!

Tras dar alrededor Congaree Park estábamos bastante hambre y la gran T parecía probable elección. En mi opinión las opciones de cerdo son mejores. Teníamos Carolina cerdo barbacoa en su máxima expresión. Mi esposa y yo lo disfrutamos un sandwich de cerdo y yo un plato de costillas y todos los acompañamientos. La gente allí era muy amable, el pop frío, y se lo recomiendo una parada aquí cuando en la zona.
