Authentic French bistro menu. We had a great waiter; food was very good. Had to return the steak for being rare vs medium but the staff was very accommodating. Save room for the bread and butter which is excellent.

We dined here on our last night in Yountville, we should have done it sooner with multiple visits! The crab souffle special was delicious as were the rabbit, mussels, and frites. We ended our meal with the brown butter apple tart which was excellent! Alexis our server was friendly and very attentive as was the other wait staff. They also have a very nice wine menu. We will return the next time we are in Yountville!

As opposed to the dining extravaganza that I normally engage in at bistro Jeanty, I decided to go low carbohydrate, ordered the season, flageolet beans, followed by the beet salad, which were both delicious and healthy

My wife and I tried Bistro Jeanty for our honeymoon. After dining here, we now prefer this restaurant over Bouchon Arthur serviced us that day and my wife and I were glad that he did. He gave great recommendations, very humorous and really made us feel welcome. Appetizers were Tomato soup with puff pastry and escargot. I ordered medium rare Wagu steak frites and my wife ordered beef bourguignon. Perfect temperature and portion sizes, so much flavor. Each bite took us back to our honeymoon in Paris. We will be back sooner than our next anniversary

We enjoyed it so much…as always.. A real French countryside restaurant with authentic French food, as good as you can imagine in France. Always courteous service, with a visible manager who says hello with a smile. A serious gem in the United States food scene

Jeanty is a true expression of classic French Cuisine. Authentic vibe and wonderful service. A must in Yountville, above all others.

The long awaited spaghetti ice cream was not properly prepared and disappointing.

Exceptional authentic French restaurant! Our server was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was fun and had a great vibe. The food was outstanding! My husband had the French onion soup, one of the best he’s ever had. I had the filet so police, it was cooked a perfect medium rare and the mushroom sauce was so delicious. My husband had a special, a double cut veal chop, he said it was very good but not great. Highly recommend this bistro!

As always, exceeded expectations. I had family in town and this did not fail. Another legendary meal.

We both had the sole and it was delicious! Make sure you order the beet salad to start as well.

Bistro Jeanty is one of our favorite Winecountry restaurants. It is like eating in welcoming home with family. The moment you step inside, you will feel relaxed. The service is outstanding and the pace of the meal is just right. Prompt, but no rush. The food is absolutely delicious. We had heirloom tomatoes, fries and escargot with mini raviolis for appetizers. Be sure to get the truffle aioli for the fries. Our entries included scallops and steak. For dessert we had the bread pudding and the “ice cream special”. Definitely ask about that one. Also consider trying one of the delicious “mocktails”,

Wonderful place to eat. Indoors it was a bit noisy, especially in the back room, but the food and service were outstanding. Definitely going back there again.

We’vre dined here many times over the years. Sadly, the food quality has declined. It seems like there must be a different chef. The sole meunière was quite heavy and seemed deep fried. It was not the light, flavorful dish that it should’ve been. The boeuf bourguignon was not served in a mini Le Creuset dish as it was in the past. There was a lack of sauce which rendered the few pieces of meat quite dry. The beet salad was good as were the fried smelts. Haricots vert were simple and good. Everything was overly salty which indicates a laziness and lack of creativity with the preparation. Service was fine but lacked warmth and personality. Everything came out too quickly and felt rushed. There was no time to relax in between courses. Not very French!

Coq au vin and tomato soup was amazing. Best French cuisine I have had in a long time. Sitting on the patio was a good choice. Inside dining was full and loud. Overall great experience!

Everything about Bistro Jeanty is incredible. From the impeccably cordial and always well-dressed hostess to the amazing service staff and the outstanding food that is always available. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoy coming down the hill and having lunch with you. Bistro Jeanty is a staple for my wife and I.

The lobster and crab shoulder was fantastic as was our favorite sole meurinere. Large portions that are so tasty! Always happy to return.

A perfect lunch during a perfect late summer wine county day. From the hostess greeting, to very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating service (especially for my hubby the veggie hater), we left with a glow (and a bag full of leftovers).

My mother & I ate here our last night in Napa. The French onion soup was amazing & our server, Arthur, was amazing!! He was so fun & we had some great laughs. He was so knowledgeable about the food & wine - it was a great last dinner. Thank you Arthur for an awesome experience!

Perfect. The best French restaurant, in my opinion. It’s better than a famous French restaurant in Las Vegas, bellagio. Crispy pig foot is amazingly good.

This has always been one of our favorite places. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is kind and attentive. If you are looking for a special meal this is the place. They always successfully provide a fine dining experience that isn’t fussy or pretentious. It’s always money well spent. Thanks again

We have now been to Bistro Jeanty three times and each time was absolutely fabulous. We live about an hour away, if no traffic. And we will now be going at least once per month. It is that good. The menu is spectacular and they have daily numerous daily specials that add to the choices. The food is authentically French and extremely well priced. The service is outstanding. The ambience is great and the food and wine are fairly priced. We recommend everything we have tasted so far....the Coq au Vin, Cassoulet, Sole Meunière, Smoked Salmon Rillettes, Daily special Souffle (ours was crab), Crêpe Suzette. The wine was fabulous and fairly priced. This is our absolute favorite restaurant in the Napa/Yountville area. Bouchon may be more famous in terms of name recognition and we have been there many times. Bistro Jeanty's food is far superior. Please go give it a try. You will be thrilled, we are sure.

Bistro Jeanty is absolutely wonderful, everything about it. It is, in our opinion, the best place to dine in Yountville (excluding French Laundry which is a different type of dining experience). The food is authentically French. The menu is diverse and has something for everyone, although likely not so good for Vegans. Not sure if they make that accommodation. We have now been four times and plan to start coming at least once a month. We are sure everything on the menu is good (and fairly priced) and can personally vouch for the Coq au Vin, Cassoulet, Sole Meunière, and Crab Soufflé. The Salmon Riillettes is also fabulous as a starter, perfectly salted unlike most which are way too salty. Our goal is to try everything on the menu (meaning my husband will do the pied de cochin, langue d"angeau, etc, and I will be the fish taster. Ha ha! They have a very extensive regular menu and also a long list of daily choices. The wine list is also good enough and fairly priced in today's market. I almost forgot dessert. The Crêpes Suzette is amazing. Sit outside on the patio if you can. The ambiance is great and the weather is usually supportive of being outside. Inside is a cool vibe too though. Bouchon is just up the street and much better known, I think. We have been there many times as well. Bistro Jeanty may not have the name recognition but the food is much better. Much better. And the creatively of the dishes is far superior. Enjoy, and tell them Janelle and Jean-Claude sent you.

One of the most exquisite dining experiences I’ve had in my life, bar none—beats the best of the best, even Michelin Star restaurants. I would order everything on the menu if I could. Cannot recommend highly enough!

The tomato bisque soup is simply delicious…paired with a hearty Zinfandel and the palate is satisfied! Of course there are many other delectables on the menu that will wow you too. Sergio was a very attentive & knowledgeable waiter. Highly recommend Bistro Jeanty!

been here a thousand times, very solid and usually fairly easy to get into unlike Bouchon and others. they have not changed the menu (other than a few things) in years. High quality French food but perhaps unimaginative would be the only complaint.

Went for the Brunch and it was amazing! Our server Tara did a wonderful job with recommendations, explanations and the perfect mix of attentiveness but not over doing it.

Came for lunch before wine tasting. Cute little bistro, friendly wait staff. The food was good, my fries (I ordered steak frites) were a little soggy, I prefer a little crunch. The beet salad and heirloom tomato salad were both good and the deviled eggs were decent. They also have a nice happy hour.

Birthday Dinner at Bistro Jeanty was excellent...........once the food arrived and was sent back twice! Wifes Veal Chop arrived even before the appetizers were served.......uhh no that is not the way courses are served. When the main courses were served, the wives orders came out, and we waited 15 minutes for the men to be served..........then my cassolette was overcooked and very dry!.......sent it back, by the time it was re-served everyone else was done with their meals!.........so had it packed up to go.... Manager came out apologized and gave us two merengue lemon tarts on the house to take home. everyone was very nice and helpful.......but frankly I expect better from Bistro Jeanty.

Wonderful as always. Went for lunch and back for happy hour. Goat cheese and Haricot salad remains a favorite. Had the oysters at happy hours were delicious and a great value. We always come back and bring friends each time we are in Yountville!

We had a fantastic time! The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. We started with the escargots, which were tasty, though the friture d’éperlan was a bit too salty for our liking. However, the main dishes were outstanding. I had the sea scallops, which were cooked to perfection, and my husband enjoyed the steak au poivre, which he found equally satisfying. The chef here has a real talent for flavors. The service was attentive and made the experience even better. For dessert, there were plenty of tempting options, and I chose the crème brûlée, which was the perfect way to end the meal.

Incredible classic french cuisine executed to perfection. Run don’t walk to try the french onion soup.

Bit slow service and expensive place

Our lunch at Bistro Jeanty on August 9 was not merely excellent or even superb -- it was SPECTACULAR! We shared the Dungeness crab souffle, which was to die for, especially with a half bottle of French Pouilly Fume; then we shared the ris de veau (sweetbreads) with morel mushrooms (with a bottle of California Pinot Noir). Added a side of pommes frites with garlic aoili. All of this was too rich for dessert, more's the pity. (The service was also exceptional.)

We had an amazing dinner last night. The quality of the food and drink was solid. My husband had the cassoulet and I had the coq au vin. Yummy! The staff is attentive without being intrusive. The place has a comforting and lovely ambiance. The noise level was a bit high (mostly due to one group seated near us) but it was happy energy. Will definitely return. Highly recommend!

Food was excellent. We did not enjoy the dog that came to sit next to us, it was obviously not socialized and misbehaved and had to be moved. Unfortunately i think this trend of allowing dogs is restaurants is ridiculous. I will be calling restaurants ahead from now on to inquire about their dog policy.

Authentic French cuisine in Yountville, prepared with a homemade touch. The signature tomato soup and rabbit meat pasta were my favorites. It was absolutely extraordinary culinary experience. The price was reasonable compared to other upscale restaurants in Napa.

Usually we love Bistro Jeanty. This time we were disappointed that they changed the Beef Bourgogne recipe from the crocks to more of a plain stew with meet chunks. I hope they return to the original.
