Had a delicious cobb salad with shrimp. Great service and enjoying live entertainment by The Chocolate Factory Band. Great night, great atmosphere!

I need to leave a quick review. This will be simple and to the point. I went here after a late night at work. I had a crab cake sandwich. The crabs that died and went into this sandwich died in vein. God gave them life only to be destroyed and put on a garbage dry bun with no sauce. The poor crabs had been paired with so much filler that you could not even call it crab. In General this place is garbage. For those giving a good review you must have been born without taste buds and for this I am sorry. If you’re hungry go to McDonalds, you’ll get something you can swallow.

We're their neighbors! Love the team they have over there. Really funny and friendly group of people. Highly recommend stopping by for a drink or to hang out when you're in the area!

Neighborhood dive bar, but a decent burger.

I saw great reviews for this place and was excited to go when I visited the area recently. However, the experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I was told to sit anywhere and they'd send a menu and waiter over. I sat down next to tables that were already being serviced. The waitress for that area walked over, made eye contact with me several times, but refused to otherwise acknowledge my presence as she doted on other guests. I patiently waited 10 minutes without being spoken to, provided a menu, or even acknowledged.

Fun place to meet a friend for a drink or go alone. Patrons are friendly, they have a jukebox and patio.

First time and last time spending money here. The website for this place doesn’t even function correctly. We had to work too hard to find happy hour times. The manager, shown in the picture i am posting, was not friendly to my wife and I. I would have never guessed he was manager he acts unprofessional. We went for happy hour and was treated like we were invisible and un important. Not very attentive. Maybe the establishment is prejudice or racist, even the other customers loud conversation made us uncomfortable. We traveled to many states and have more than a few passport stamps. I know good service when its given. The server was a woman and she was nice but slow. This county has a lot of disappointing restaurants, may have to move its that bad especially the traffic and aggressive drivers. And i was born and raised in Bergen county nj just 20 mins from NYC. Never know who walks into your establishment

If I could give 0 stars I would, the owner or bartender was extremely rude, wait time for drinks were over 20mins and it was 10 people max in the entire restaurant, tables were dirty and sticky. Food was a 4 out of 10 at best. I would avoid, however if you choose to visit. GOOD LUCK !

I and my wife happened to be in the neighborhood and dropped by for a couple of drinks at this place. The drinks are pretty weak and watered down for the price and it was not happy hour.

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the fantastic dining experience at Blue Iguana Café yesterday. The food was delicious, the service exceptional, and my entire family thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll definitely be back!

They offer good brunch varieties. Great environment and plenty of parking spaces.

This place has really gone downhill. So sad to see. It used to be a favorite hangout spot for my coworkers and I, but in the last few months, it's just not worth it anymore - no matter how good the food is. The only reason I stopped by was to get some wings and to see Daneri because he is a gentleman and a treat. But so much has changed, and not in a good way. The last few times we did a work Happy Hour, we went other places. Today we probably will too. I miss what this place used to be.

What time happy hour special prices on drinks ??

Wouldn't give any stars 22oz beers are $11-$12.50 each, check has a 2.00% restaurant fee before even pulling out a card or anything to pay, and if you pay by card they will add themselves a $5 tip after you already tipped in cash. The place has gone way down hill in as little as one year. The food is bland, their taps pump out foam so they get tired of trying to pour the beer and give to much foam. The new bartenders aren't capable of providing proper service to their customers and just want to f around all the time.

We are so so disappointed in the blue iguana in Fairfax by the fair Oaks Mall. They just denied entrance to our service dogs. We explained to them that we were in fact service dogs and wanted to sit inside and they said no we would have to sit outside, even though they knew how Cold it was. When I explained to them, please understand that these are service dogs I was told“ yeah I know I just told management twice”

I went to Blue iguana in search of some dinner and some brews and I had the Pizza tots which was a very delicious spin on tater tots. I also liked the Street Tacos with the Grilled Chicken. The beer was a little high end especially for Miller lights. The music on the jukebox was Cool to listen to while eating and having some brews.

The people, both staff and customers, are the friendliest folks in Northern Virginia. The food selection and quality is way underrated. We have never had a bad meal at the BI. Please don't ever 'evolve.' The BI is such a special, uncomplicated, unpretentious, wonderful spot to unwind, or party hard. Whether you're a regular or it's your first time there, you'll get treated like part of the BI family. I look forward to every visit!

Very poor customer service from the management team. It was clear that they don’t care about keeping customers happy.

What a spectacular day we spent in this place, excellent food and super good service. I invite everyone to come, you will fall in love with the Restaurant.

It used to be decent. The food was usually good and the service was just alright. Place was usually filled with the same regulars but smelled awful. After months of making it a semi regular place that we would find ourselves wanting to go to it all just started to go downhill. Over the past several visits the service has gotten worse and worse (reflected in the regular crowd shrinking). The smell was resolved but the food has gotten worse. On our most recent visit there were less people than normal but service took so long we gave up on saying something about our food that was disgusting then left after sitting with empty drinks for over 15 minutes. We even witnessed one customer have to send their drinks back and after they got them again the customer just went and got their own ice. The botanas which I used to love had so much oil i soaked my napkin with it and had to dump out all the excess covering the whole plate. Can not justify returning ever again

Went here once a week ago, and the place was obviously not managed well. Their menus were not updated to reflect accurate pricing, the men’s bathroom door’s hydraulic system was broken so it was propped open, and the website said it was trivia night when it wasn’t. The service was decent. Don’t recommend coming here until there is better management.

Won’t be back. You will be charged more than the price you see on the menu. Service is excellent, food is average.

We have eaten here many times in the past, however, they cancelled their Thanksgiving buffet and didn’t bother to tell anyone on their reservations list Bad form!

It's one of our favorite bars to visit. Their bartenders rock, and their drinks are so fairly priced!!! We love their handcut fries and their taco specials on tuesdays. Awesome people, food, drinks, and latin music!

The food had hair in it. Manger was gaslighting me by saying it was not “hair consistency”. Honestly the food wasn't even that good, but the service made it worse. -0/10

Food was great, got a steak (cooked perfect) and some shrimp which. Friendly atmosphere but the best part, for me, was the incredible friendly service from Nelson who clearly noticed I was in business from out of town! Will be back!

Big thanks to all at blue iguana for a warm welcome to a visitor. I was on holiday (I'm English!) For a week nearby and visited every night whilst there for a drink. I was soon recognised as a returning customer and greeted with a hand shake by the guys (and friendly greeting by the girls !) Special mention to Spencer and his good lady. Good selection of beers - 22 Oz glasses even better !

Great daily specials! Angus burger was superb. Hand-cut fries were good. Beer was excellent. And the service was great with views that agreed with my own. The music added an extra 25 points to my review!

Loved it! Mon-Fri specials.. Came on a Thursday for $1 wings. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the garlic parmesan, soy honey, old bay & bourbon bbq flavors.

Local Travelers from Maryland My family and I visited this place for the first time and was treat very badly within the first 5 minutes we were there. Did not get a chance to enjoy a good Sunday Brunch.

Friendly staff, it can be super quiet and sometimes packed. Great bar selection and food are super decent. Prices are super decent, located in the heart of Fairlakes super accessible. They typically have great promotions for food and drinks as well.

Went to this establishment. Never again. will not recommend this spot. I received my order of fajitas which was recommended. The tortillas were sour and smelled bad . I asked for a replacement of tortillas and the waiter told me I needed fresh chicken because it was sitting he said I needed to pay. Why do I need to pay because I receive old n sour tortillas . Go here for music only the food is terrible.

We do like the food, they have really good item at times - "If" you could ever find their menu on line to check them out... Seriously - they never seem to "G-A-S" about anything beyond their opening page showing their name on line..... yes - they have their click of followers and the neighborhood will bring in new people from timer to time... seems word of mouth is all they need... if really interested i suggest you try looking for them on Yelp, it's there because of Yelp's business not theirs.... sad, they could have a much better review for the place because the food is more often than not really good.... they do have delivery situations like all places do these days but if you can find out what's up that day --- git it a try... we do prefer a delivery but being there is best you can always sit around the corner from the bar where you can hold a conversation ... it's kind of a sports bar that should tell ya about volume... here's a clue - $39.00 for a steak.... a little side of mac and cheese will set you back $8,00 bucks.... !!! feed the kids at McDonald's across the street - they will be much happier and then you can justify the cost of your stuff in your mind a little easier.... they got a very good rating up above because of the food if there was a good, making this place above average then they would get that..... it's the food here guys - you'll like "it".... !

I got a salad which came way overdressed, and the person I was dining with got "jambalaya" which was almost certainly frozen and microwaved. food definitely overpriced for what it is/what you get. that said, service was great and friendly, attentive without being bothersome. environment/atmosphere is basic, clean, and maintained, but nothing special or remarkable.

Went here for a date night for married couple on a Saturday night. A few regulars which you can tell by the atmosphere and conversations. We were welcomed and had plenty spots to choose from. Plenty of drink options. We decided to get a rice dish with a Cajun meat mixture which was reasonably priced and tasted great, sitting on the stomach well after drinking. Definitely a new spot that's different than our usuals.

I've been here a few times and have had really good experiences. However, when I went by myself and sat at the bar Sunday night, the bartender asked me what I wanted once. I sat at the bar for an hour and she didn't ask me if I needed anything else, didn't offer me another drink when she saw mine was empty, nothing. She didn't even bring my bill, I had to ask someone else for it. I did not leave a tip because of the service. When the charge cleared in my account it was higher than the one drink I paid for. A tip was added to my receipt after I left. Disgusting.

Absolutely horrible and childish quality. Waiter was great and polite, but the food is absolutely thawed out the morning of, and is a complete joke. If you're already drunk go here...you won't care. If you're interested in a great meal...talk to Sergeant NOPE. You can get better quality at 7-11. Not really sure what else to say, but that was so disappointing.

Charged a $2 Credit Card fee without advising me of the fee. I would have paid cash if I had known. Looks like it could be a great bar other than the “hidden” fees.

MUST VISIT this establishment has a very specific charm like no other. PLEASE ASK FOR ESTEBAN when you come in. He works hard for his tips and his tips should match how hard he works.

Brunch was not what I expected but the a la cart menu was very good! Tucked into a shopping plaza, Blue Iguana treats locals to good food! They are famous for their botanas, so that's what I had. Very, very rich and creamy, I had it over grits instead of rice. Still very good! The tres leches cake listed on the menu was no longer a part of it, sadly. The staff was attentive and very nice. Next time I'm gonna try the shrimp and grits... Recommend!

We had Thanksgiving dinner there. Nice staff, comfortable table, easy parking, and buffet was seasonally appropriate. Food 8 out of ten. Turkey gravy was worse than my wife's, which I thought was impossible. Turkey was dry, but flavorful. I am nevertheless very grateful they offered this Thanksgiving dinner. All comments were meant to be constructive.

This is a wonderful little spot tucked away in Fairfax. It has a very local feel, the happy hour options are plentiful and go late enough that you don't have to rush after a work day to get the deals. Billy was my server. He was fantastic and obviously a local favorite. Dinner was a highlight, though the appetizers I got were only average (mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms).

Purely in terms of food I enjoyed it and there was a wide variety of cuisines to chose from. It was a little pricey for the quality and quantity. But, if considering it's also bar I would suggest it's food.

The Greek salad is really good! There's no lettuce so it's just cucumbers, tomatoes, olive, cheese, pepper and chicken. It was very fresh! Billy was so nice - thank you!!

College bar vibes. Service was a bit on the slow side and the selection of beers was okay. They offer relatively late hours of operation which is probably the best thing about the place. Wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but it wasn't a bad place by any means.

Very chill bar and restaurant! Nice outside area to enjoy a drink and/or food. Finding a low key place in Northern Virginia seems like a diamond in the rough.

First time at Blue IGUANA, service was Tops, waiters were very efficient and friendly. Was there for a FHOG Officers meeting and we will be returning next month. Food was excellent and pricing were very good. Would suggest it to anyone.

Stopped by for lunch with a group of friends. I absolutely loved the place: attentive service, modern design and of course delicious food. There were so many interesting options to choose from! I haven't tried any of the mixed drinks but I heard they tasted great as well!

I will get her name and add to this review but I am sure she wouldn't work anywhere if it wasn't up to her standards. So the food is amazing and their culture is very warm and accommodating. Enjoy... Desiree is her name and she is amazing. Also Yanni is another bartender and he was fun too, especially his music selection on the jukebox!

Great Place to relax and enjoy some yummy eats and brews. Our waiter was awesome, he had a great personality and even though we were sitting outside he never forgot about us. He was on it with everything. The food was fantastic too. I had the jose street tacos and the hubs had wings. Thier motto is "just good food" and it shows everything was simple american food done very well. We will definitely be back.
