They were VERY accommodating. I have a seafood allergy and upon request made sure that they made the chef aware. I had asked about a kids quesadilla and they said they have a “secret” menu that had an adult sized chicken quesadilla for me! 10/10 would recommend!!!

DoNOT order the Chilean seabass! Got a hard and squeaky filet, so bad! The guy “working” there said “it sometimes happens!!!! “ depending on what part of the fish…he then took it to cook it more , came back more squeaky with a green sauce on it (maybe to mask the taste) . The guy disappeared and never checked back. Poor food, poor service! Never again!

I just had the best Mediterranean grilled veggie salad topped with two juicy slices of Cajun rubbed grilled salmon at BSFG on Artesia. My lunch partner noticed that there were two female chefs behind our amazing meal. I’ve eaten at this restaurant many times over many years and did not go back for a few because quality had plummeted. BUT this is now my go to place for fresh fish again. THANK YOU BSFG!

The Service: Staffs are very friendly and helpful. You order & pay at the counter, they will deliver the food to your table. It would be a little bit confusing ordering but they are there to give recommendations. The Food: You choose what kind of fish, what kind of flavor and what kind of side dishes. I have tried several of different fish and love them all. Fish are big portion as well. My favorite sides are corn (the smoky taste~) and quinoa (with some brown rice in it, very filling). Drinking fountain are self-serve. They also sell beer & wine. The Parking: Private parking lot (free)

Had dinner with a friend, she got the surf and turf, steak and prawns, they have a great selection of sauces, I got the salmon burger with roasted potatoes and clam chowder, the chowder had potatoes, celery, and dried rosemary that added a nice flavor, we sat outside

I like the food better at the Lomita & Hawthorne location better. Cole Slaw more creamy there, and my trout was a little dry. Food was OK but expecting more

The food here is AMAZING! I'm unhappy with about 95% of my restaurant experiences. Had a bad day of that yesterday. This place made our day today! It was busy, but they had plenty of room to seat us. The food was delicious without being heavy, or salty, or greasy. It is walk up to order, but is NOT a fast-food experience. We would have easily paid 3 times as much for dinner at the place we had planned to go that couldn't seat us. I'm SO glad they couldn't. We had 4 different appetizers and 5 dinners, and everyone was impressive! Definitely the best fish, and maybe also the best seafood meal I've ever had. Fresh, flavorful, delicious. Even my very fussy father-in-law was raving about his meal. You should definitely eat here!

Fantastic experience. I ordered carry out so I saw it as fast food seafood. Which I know sounds weird, but the fish I had not only tasted fresh, but it was well made and the order was ready within 15 minutes. Kudos to you all…. I’ll be back 😉

Great seafood, reasonably priced. The Fish and chips plate is hands down the best fish and chips. Their salmon is always so good, they have a good number of seasonings they can throw on there for you. The catfish is really good, there's better out there but is still real good. All around, suck a good spot if you're looking for some good seafood.

The menu offers a wide variety of options, especially for those who follow a pescatarian diet. I had the salmon sandwich, and it exceeded my expectations in terms of taste and flavor. I added some squeezed lemon juice to the sandwich, and it made it even more delicious. The sweet potato fries tasted great with a little salt, pepper and ketchup, and I also tried the grilled snapper over flavored rice, which was also very tasty. I'm planning to go back and try the Ani tuna salad next time.

Nice casual place with lots of fish options. Was in the mood for fish and chips and it was excellent. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you, but you can tell the staff really cares about the quality of the food and it was great.

My wife and I had a grill plate (Ono) and a Fisherman’s basket. Taking into consideration the price, taste and amount of food, this place is fantastic. It should have been packed but wasn’t. We plan on going back it was so good.

It's a Friday in Lent. What's a Christian craving some penitential fish and chips in the South Bay supposed to do? Naturally, I browsed the SouthbayLA subreddit for some fish and chips recommendations. Bluesalt Fish Grill did not disappoint. The fish and chips were hot, crispy, and tasty. They're a great value and extremely filling for the price. I don't have any complaints about the service. It was a bit busy, but it was also a Friday in Lent when a lot of folks might be eating fish? In any case, I want to bring my mom back here at some point. They have a lot of wild caught fish options.

'Simply Tasty' is how I would describe Blue Salt. Initially, you feel you're in a 'fast food' establishment, As we stood in line, you get to see the various plates being brought out and that's is when you realize... N O T 'fast food', but a healthy, delicious meal. The service does not 'carry' the place, as when I asked for some cocktail sauce I was met with, "That'll be a dollar.", with a raised eyebrow. My reply, 'It's okay, I actually have one!" (After dropping $58 for two meals). Overall, great food and good service. I wouldn't expect more than that.

Hubby and I went here for the first time last summer. I thought the food was too expensive pre-Covid. Haven't gone back since.

My sis had the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos. Puts other restaurants to shame. This has elevated my *fast food* experience. 5 stars isn't enough for this place.

I have been getting their fish tacos for a long time now which were very good. In the last month I could tell a definite difference. One was just loaded with cabbage and very little fish A week or so later I ordered the same fish tacos, This order was different in the sense that it wasn't made the same, not much cabbage and very little fish. They have become completely inconsistent in the way they make them. Something has definitely changed.

Every time we visit the food is delicious. We're always so hungry we forget to take a picture of the plate when it first comes out.

The food was unseasoned and the worker was very rude. I told him my order and he misheard me and gave me the wrong drink which was okay so I let him know which drink I wanted and went to be seated. When he brought out the food he brought out the wrong thing, I ordered shrimp and he brought fish so I let him know that the order was incorrect and he got an attitude and started arguing with me and told me that he asked me two to three times what I wanted. His tone was very rude. This confuses me because I was very clear in what I that I wanted to order and I was not rude to him at all. If he misheard me that was not my fault but there is no reason for him to be so inappropriately defensive and unprofessional. I did let management know about this and they brought me the correct order but I still will never come back because of the way this employee acted.

The food here is outstanding. Fresh, well cooked, and well. Seasoned. It's a very busy place and rather small. Seating is limited. But well worth the effort.

What a find! This place is such a great place. The food is excellent, the service is great, and the prices are unbeatable. Portions are great. The best part is how customizable everything is. You choose your fish, what butter or seasoning you want it cooked in, and then two sides from over a dozen options. The drinks are cheap too. The staff were all super knowledgeable about the menu and were friendly, as well as on top of everything. Love this joint!

We have been here a few times now. The food is great and so is the service. The Fisherman’s basket is very good along with the fish plates. You can’t go wrong. I also love how there seem to be so many regulars which is always a good sign. This will become a reg of ours.

So great we went back 3 times. Just wow. The fresh food and plates for the price are amazing. Such a hidden jewel. Could not believe there was not a line out the door wrapped around the corner.

Pretty good stuff. I had the shrimp tacos and they were pretty huge. The combo comes with two and that's really all you need. It comes with yellow rice and black bean salsa. I wish the salsa was served warm, but it's still tasty.

I love this place! Have been going here for years and they never dissapoint on a delicious fish dish. They have a wide selection of marinades & rubs to choose from to pair with your choice of fish. Definitely reccomend to anyone who enjoys eating fish at a reasonable price.

Didn't realize this wasn't a place to get waited on. But regardless the food we had (swordfish and shrimp) hit the spot. At least this place is open later than other places. I recommend if you're short on time and if you want to avoid the restauranrs along the pier.

This is the first time I get to try the new seafood restaurant in Redondo and I can highly recommend a thumbs up to the salmon and catfish.

Good food (the mahi mahi was a touch dry) with many choices (like 10 or 12 fish) with choice of rubs/spices and sides.

I visit the other location quite frequently and gave them 5 stars as service and food is excellent. Visited this location on a Saturday and walked in at 9:32 pm and they said they were closed, even though big open sign on window. Need to update hours as it says 10:00 pm on site and I also visited website for online order and says hours until 10:00 pm. So either incorrect hours listed or just didn’t want to serve any more customers that evening.

Awesome food Discovered this place by accident and now I only come here for quality seafood. The fresh salmon is a great option, as well as the octopus salad. Make sure to try a side of rosemary potatoes and ask for the chili cilantro sauce, thank me later.

Very reasonable prices for the quality of fish. Counter service with fountain drinks (also beer and wine). Decent sized indoor dining with a few outdoor tables. A go-to spot for a quick and tasty bite.

This place is great for relatively inexpensive seafood. Extensive menu, good variety. Of course it’s not what you’d get in a seafood establishment where you’d pay twice as much, but it’s damn good. But my only complaint is that the clam chowder is way too thick and gooey. Perhaps some prefer that, I don’t.

I love this place! I come here every time I'm out in LA, which is almost every month. The prices are great for what you receive! The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection. The steak is marbled and cooked as ordered.

Casual walk up ordering like Carl's Jr. but seafood. Prices reasonable and ahi tuna was very good. Very good Cole slaw and salad side. Really wanted something fried but resisted my urge although other folks' plates looked delish! Would definitely return!

The wife & I had tried their Torrance location and, as we were in Redondo Beach, we decided to give this location a try. We weren't disappointed and were glad that we were at the end of the lunch hour as Blue Salt seems to have a lot of 'traffic'. We both went for the Two taco Plate and were pleased with our meals. The next time we return, we'll try something different, just for the sake of variety. Enjoy

Excellent quality and variety! I’m going to make this a weekly visit. We had the roasted brussels sprouts appetizer (marinated &with capers and parmesan); salt & pepper fried calamari; ceviche tostadas; salmon taco plate, and snapper dinner plate. Some folks seem to be complaining about low salt- personally I prefer the low salt herbal seasonings used in our dishes that we could add salt to our own taste. Wow!! Great portions, savory, perfect hot temp. And the NY cheesecake for dessert + 2 glasses of wine. Cheesecake light and not overly sweet. Perfect ending. We demolished all the food before it occurred to me to take photos.. so next time!

This is a solid seafood restaurant. They offer most of the basics like fish and chips and clam chowder, but the value of this place is the food is tasty, and the prices are fair. You don't go there for ambiance; you don't take someone there on your first date. This is a place to go if you want good seafood at a reasonable price.

This restaurant has healthy selections that taste as incredible as their reasonable prices. The side Mahi taco was less than $4 and was perfect for a late-night treat. Their staff made me feel like I was their friend.

I used to like this place a lot, then I realized, how it has changed. I ordered Fishermans basket, and beer batter fish and chips. well, the fish was good, but the crab cake was absolutely tasteless, it has no flavor whatsoever. the chopped salad or plain slaw, don't know what it is supposed to be, tasted stale, when you buy pre copped and leave it for a while, it stinks, plus have nothing on it, must have taken a fist full from the bag and plated it. the hush puppies or whatever it is was too hard and tasteless. What is wrong, this place used to be a place I recommend to friends and family; is it going down or what.
