This is such a unique and much needed place for the Memphis area. The owner pours her heart and soul and has come up with some really fun events. There are hundreds of board games and a great beer selection. Visit this fantastic small business you will not regret it!

My friends and I visited the other day for the first time to play Catan, and it was so fun! Love the business concept. This is such a comfortable and fun community-oriented space and the food and drinks are just an extra plus. We will be back!

Recently discovered Board to Beers and have already signed up for a monthly couples membership. Me and my husband love board games but don’t have the space or funds to have the huge collection we dream of, so instead we get to enjoy tons of games for such a small price with great vibes, drinks, and people. Plus who doesn’t love to support their local nerd community!

This is such a fun place to hang out and play games. There are hundreds of different games to try out and plenty of space to play them for only $5 a person. The workers were so helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was very laid back. I tried one of the local beers on tap from Wise Acre and we played three different games during our two-hour visit. We will definitely be back soon!

We absolutely love this place. We bring our 5 year old and there are so many fun kiddo games to choose from—it’s the perfect fun but low key way to spend an early evening! The beer selection is always outstanding. The owners are so kind. A gem!

My friends and I went for the first time last week and couldn't be more impressed! Their game selection shows that the owners don't just hole themselves into one category but all. There are intense strategy games to quickly 20 minute party games. The food was perfect since you really only need snacks while playing! The beer selection is great! They have a lot of sours which you don't see too often around here. If you're looking for something fun, I'd recommend Board to Beers!

This is a Memphis gem, a true diamond in the rough. Currently the ONLY Memphis board game bar, the owner of this place is a true board game geek. Her husband and mother help run the counter and bar, and what started as a few columns of about 400 games has grown over the past years to a walls-long collection of what will soon be over 1800! Be sure to check their website if there's a game you want to play, but even if they don't have it, they'll have something similar. The regulars here are super nice and happy to show anyone how things work or a new game when needed. The owners are both great fans of local breweries, and there's a constantly rotating list of taps that change practically every week. Notably, I went to NYC's Hex and Co recently (listed as the largest board game bar in Manhattan), and I was shocked (and happy) to see that Board to Beers actually has more games than they do now. Be sure to sign up for the 1st and 3rd Wednesday D&D night on their Facebook (maybe the Monster of the Week game I run :P)!

Found this place recently, and love it! Great place to meet people who also love board gaming.

For the past two years I came here every Thursday for trivia! This bar is so much fun and everyone is so kind and friendly. I have moved out of Memphis and will whole heartedly miss coming here! I highly recommend for a relaxed and fun time!!

This is a neat place. There is a huge selection of games. It is clean and fun. The owners / proprietors reached out about a previous concern that I had as well (doors being locked during normal hours), and thoughtfully addressed it. Part of that was my fault for not checking their social media. Sorry about your pup :/ In any case, this is a great place; the owners care. It's a little too crowded and loud (hard to learn a game or read instructions with the noise around) for my personal taste, but that's just like, my opinion, man.

My favorite board game bar! Enormous selection of games with incredible wall art + setup. Plus, the owners are right there to make recommendations and explain rules — makes finding new games you love so much better!

After I learned the hard way that Mollie Fountaine can be a crowded, expensive place during party season especially, my dear friend, Izzy, was kind enough to recommend this place as an alternative for me and my boyfriend. I must say that I am quite pleased with what I’ve experienced thus far. Not only is the food delicious (albeit a bit pricy), but I also love their selection of beer and games and the fact that everyone who comes into Board to Beers is very kind and loves for every stranger in the room to partake in a game. Sadly, because I usually work Wednesdays through Sundays from 2 pm to 11 pm, coming to Board to Beers is a luxury for me. However, for those who can make it during those times, I’d say that you all would have good luck coming here and making many happy memories here. This location is a treasured hole in the wall for me and my friends. Not everyone can afford the cost of board games but this place had them all including D&D books to run a campaigne. The food isn't grand but it's a delight and safe place for all ages. The interior design makes you feel at home and at ease. And the drinks or pretty good! And I love and respect there bathroom designs and privacy set up. I only wish they were open earlier in the afternoon. They have games for kids and adults Snacks for any age And adult drinks as well! Trust me when I say this place is fun for all ages

Absolutely fell in love with this place, the staff is super cool, there's floor to ceiling board & card games of all sorts, difficulties, and play times, plus there's snacks and drinks available too! With lots of games to choose from, you're sure to find the perfect one, even from the cute kid's section. This is definitely a place I plan on visiting frequently

I visited Memphis and had a very enjoyable evening at Board to Beers. The owners were incredibly nice and helpful and the game selection is very good. I play trivia here on Thursdays. It’s an amazing place to hang out for a few hours and play a few board games. The corgi will ignore you. Don’t take it personally.
