For appetizers we had the crab queso dip, jerk chicken quesadilla and lobster bisque. For entrees we both had the fried lobster basket each. I wasn’t a huge fan of the calabash style cooking, my husband loved it though.

They say they close at 10 and we get there at 945 and they say they are closed. Horrible service. A bunch of servers eating at the front entrance like a frat house! Will never go here again

Service was great even though they were super busy. Our waitress stayed on top of things. Bbq nachos were huge!!!!

We've been going to Myrtle Beach for years and just discovered this place. We went here twice on this trip because the food, service, price, and atmosphere are spot on. We have already recommended this place to family in the MB area. We will be back. By the way, try the she-crab soup, some of the best we've had.

My husband and I were looking forward to the fried lobster. Only the waitress never even bothered to take our drink order. We sat for a decent amount of time but the waitress just kept ignoring us. We finally left after noticing she served tables around us. We try not to think of this as racism, but it is what it is!

Had a great lunch here. I had Buffalo shrimp and a dozen oysters so many shrimp I brought about half home for later. Wife had the steamer pot she brought the corn and shrimp home there was so many. Had nice pours from the bar. Our server was excellent.

One word, yum. Ok, more words. Really tasty, well-made food, good prices and great service.

We arrived at 4 pm on a Friday and it was packed. We had already called and asked to make a reservation and was told they don’t take reservations and was hung up on. Went into the restaurant to find out how long the wait was and the staff was so rude and there was a 45 minute wait.

Very busy river side restaurant , that entertains while you wait. Parking lot was packed, there was an hour wait. We had drinks at the outdoor area. There was a magician performing for the kids. Food and service were great, we will come back again when in N. Myrtle Beach!

We have been dining at Boardwalk Billy's for the last several years when visiting North Myrtle Beach and always had a excellent experience. Very busy when we went but got seated fairly quickly. Sat outside under cover just in time before another round of tropical storm rain bands pelted the area. A very large selection of food to try. I had the fish tacos which were very filling and my wife had the shrimp po' boy sandwich. We also enjoyed the music that was playing until the gentleman had to stop because the rain was getting his equipment wet. What a great atmosphere to be at. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great Happy Hour Specials. Awesome sushi and drinks. Great local band. I've never been disappointed.

Nice "by the bay" restaurant serving a great variety of seafood and other protein options. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Highly recommend Billy's!

I had a horrible visit to Boardwalks. Me and my wife's food order was completely wrong and visiting from out of town after hearing good things i was just extremely disappointed and tired from my flight. However, Annie the manager turned the situation around for us. She approached us with genuine concern, took swift action to address the problem, and ensured we were well taken care of. Her professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction were impressive and made a significant difference in our overall experience. We hate to complain, but she listened and genuinely cared and made us feel heard! While it was still disappointing.. Annie's efforts and attentive service were much appreciated and restored my confidence in the restaurant.(she even brought our new orders out to us personally) Thank you for making it right! We will be back on our next visit and going to get her recommendation of Ribs and pulled pork.

Wonderful happy hr specials. Food was excellent and hot. Highly recommend the fish bites!! Our waitress was kind and attentive.

Called ahead to try to get some support for our large group. On the phone they were nice but hostesses were so rude when we got there - left us feeling hopeless and hungry.

We heard of this place online and decided to give it a try. It will now be on our list of places to visit while at the beach. The employees were pleasant, the service was excellent, food was great and prices were reasonable. We waited a few minutes to sit inside, but when we saw the outdoor area we determined next time we will just dine first available.

Boardwalk Billy’s was the first restaurant which I went to in South Carolina. My first time to the state and what a start it was! I drove all the way from Pennsylvania and we wanted a place to stop at for a quick meal for our children. Although we didn’t get a huge meal. We had to stop for hush puppies because why would you not when in the south. I got the Mac and Cheese with fries for my children and hush puppies and fries for myself and the Mrs. I can attest that the hush puppies were the best that I tried in the all of SC and their Cinnamon Butter was such a great compliment. They also give complimentary peanuts which I am a HUGE peanut guy so that was a plus! The next time I come down, I will definitely hit this spot up! 10/10 recommend

Sat with a water view, breezy, tall top table. When the sun got a bit much, our waitress took care to lower the shades for us. Food was good, not too expensive, and fun atmosphere. Family friendly! We left right as the music was starting but we enjoyed what we heard. A bit of a wait on a Saturday night, but really you’d wait anywhere by the water.

This was a nice spot next to the 🚤 lake. The food was good. Cozy atmosphere.

Really unsure how this place has such raving reviews. We went for happy hour and the hostess with an attitude really set the tone. Food was soggy and sub par. We didn’t get a refill once, it was just not a great experience overall.

Always very crowded but they will take care of you quickly. Lot's of energy with good music and the service is very good. Instead of seafood I tried the ribeye steak and it was excellent. My wife had ribs and said they were great.

The atmosphere was wonderful, everything we ordered was prepared to perfection. The staff were all friendly and professional, the entertainment was fabulous and uplifting! I have noting to say about out experience except for amazing!! We can’t wait to have the opportunity to come back again.

9 of us took my 92 year old mother in law to eat their for sea food they treated her with so much respect it was alsome she got her sea food i got the coconut shrimp basket all our food was really good that is why we come here every year thank you boardwalk billys!!!

The food was wonderful! We enjoyed awesome whitefish bites as an appetizer. My husband enjoyed a shrimp basket. I did find the mango chutney that came with the coconut shrimp a bit spicy for me, but my husband liked it. Our waitress was Amanda and she was amazing!! Very friendly and helpful. We had an hour wait as they are very busy, but there was a bar, corn hole games, and other things to keep you busy while you wait. It was worth the wait! They even have shelled nuts you can munch on while you wait. We would definitely visit again.

This place came highly recommended and it was a total let down. The hosting staff were so efficient and polite. Our server was the worst we barely saw her. The food wasn’t good. We ordered many options so the opinions and review is based on a family of 11 people. We can all agree the food lacked flavor and quality. No one raved about their entree or appetizer. The drinks were mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend.

Our favorite place in N Myrtle!

First time trying. Came to visit family from Connecticut. The place was very popular, people literally pulling onto the grass to get a spot. The staff there was very kind, quick, and lively. They have indoor, outdoor, and even seating near the docks. Food was great as well. Definitely hit this place.

Kind of a rough fish camp atmosphere in the ICW waterway. Friday they have a super deal, under $10 for a fried fish entree. Usually pretty packed. Bands outside on the patio...

The atmosphere of this place, is very laid back. But the food is anything but. Everything on the menu is priced perfectly. It's not too expensive, but it's not cheap either. It's exactly right. I got the oysters and they were about a buck a piece. And I got 15 of them. The crab legs were huge and they were for a pound and a half, $35. I find that to be a reasonable price. You can get things as little as about six bucks, to as much as about 50 bucks. But I will pretty much say that everything will be cooked perfectly. It's a little out of the way, and you will drive right past the the road that takes you there. And yes it will be crowded. But they have some fun activities outside and it feels like you're at a giant picnic. Enjoy

This was my first visit, and I loved everything about it. This was during Bike week, so the place was packed, but the wait wasn't long.

This place is absolutely amazing! The service was great, the food was excellent and really reasonably priced too! After years of coming to Myrtle, I found this gem!

Server was awesome. Location is great. The place is wicked popular so get there early or prepare to wait. Blackened fish tacos are some of the best I've had. You absolutely have to try the crab dip queso.

Cool place! Crab legs were delicious and the Mexican roll sushi was awesome! Lava flow drink was great as well. We ate out on the deck by the water with a great breeze and thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

David with the tie-dye shirt was THE best server! We came in on a packed Saturday night, thought the service wouldn’t be as great because it was so busy, but we were wrong! We had drinks while we waited for the table and the bartenders came right up to us and served us, 3 times! Once we got to our table, a little under an hour, David was our wonderful and quick serve, he really made our time better! The food came out quickly and was delicious. The atmosphere was inviting. I’m local so I will definitely be back! Try the Chicken nachos and wings!

The boil was so good I forgot to take pictures! We had a party of 8 and we all know thats every servers nightmare! Our server was attentive and kept the drinks coming and everyone left happy. If you’re thinking of dining here, arrive early. We arrived at 5 and by the time we left at 7 there was a HUGE wait!

Pretty dirty. Seafood didn't taste fresh at all! Sushi was 👎👎👎 Meals came out separately, while I was eating rest of the family was still waiting for their food. But our server was very nice and friendly.

Crowded, cold French fries, lots of house flies. Not my kind of place. Definitely trapping tourists.

We had a late lunch with their Taco lunch special. It was pretty tasty and you get lots of fries in the basket. Our server was friendly and helpful. We sat at the bar, as it was super hot, a/c felt good. It's got an older, beach vibe atmosphere with dark surfaces; it was perfect for a bite on a hot July afternoon. Drinks were VERY reasonably priced.

Definitely recommend this place! The food was amazing. Actually wish we would have ate here earlier in our vacation so we could have ate there twice. I recommend the crab legs and the shrimp basket. My husband got the half pound of peel and eat shrimp and his only complaint was that he should have got the full pound.

My 1st time here. The place was super busy so we expected a pretty long wait but our wait was really not bad at all! Bar drinks were quick and delicious. The food was absolutely amazing! Good prices as well.

Good selection of food from seafood to burgers. A lot of fried food as expected. We ordered the hush puppies with honey butter and they were really good. Would come back just for those or even get a carry out just for that. Mixed Drinks were ok and seemed a bit watered down, lots of ice on a hot day could have been a factor. Great and busy place with good entertainment. They had a band for adults and a magic show for kids on the side along with a sand pit for the kids too.

Had the fish special for lunch. Very juicy and tender fish with fries and slaw. A classic done very well. Wife had the lunch special seafood boil. It was definitely a pleaser as well. Good food and an unbeatable atmosphere. The service is also top notch!

It was OK? Waiting for our table was probably the best part, the Bartender was friendly and quick. We ended up sitting inside and our server took our order amd kinda disappeared for awhile...after 40ish minutes they brought our dinners and 10 minutes after that they brought our appetizer. The people beside us ordered, ate, paid and left before we got our food. And the food was just OK, I had the tuna and my husband had the flounder. It was very crowded and loud and I was definitely ready to go.

Well the food has declined from last year when we went the place was disgusting but it was an hour before closing but what pissed me off was when the waitress brought my check the bill said 278 dollars when my bill was 92 kinda sketchy make sure you check your bill before you just hand over your card

Don’t let the name fool you like it did us. This place is nowhere near the boardwalk or the sea. Boardwalk Billy’s is a testament to what happens to a restaurant when management doesn’t care about service or food quality. I understand that lots of businesses can’t find staff these days but they seemed to have plenty but they had no training or supervision. The hostess didn’t so much as say hello or otherwise acknowledge me when I walked up and she seemed mildly annoyed that I wanted a table. She then handed menus to another teenager that turned and walked away so fast that I had to almost jog to keep up. My party was walking slow so I had to go back and guide them to our table. The fist thing I noticed was that the floor was littered with straw wrappers, dirty napkins, and God know what else as none of the numerous teens working seemed to be on sweeping duty. I made the mistake of ordering raw oysters and when I asked what kind they were the waitress had no idea but was sure they were “from West Virginia”. When I pointed out that West Virginia indeed has no coastline and thus no oysters come from there she shrugged and said “that’s what they told me”. They turned out to be very puny and tired blue points and not only were they not still alive or shucked properly (had to spit out shell fragments onto the other trash on the floor) but they brought them to me not on a tray of ice but on a plate right out of the dishwasher so it was still hot. My craft microbrew was in a can and she didn’t bother to bring me a beer glass and I had to wonder to the bar and find my own as when I walked up no one so much as looked at me. If you want a burger and fries for your kids this place may be alright but don’t expect good food, atmosphere, or service..

Sushi that I tried (sorry, don't know which one) was very good; New England Clam Chowder was definitely not NECC, some kind of potato soup with a few clams in it; blackened Mahi Mahi- several pieces very fishy tasting. Nice atmosphere, service was great!

This place might seem like a touristy trap but there's a reason it stays busy. The food is pretty terrific. In my opinion, the peel n eat shrimp and sushi are the way to go. Get there between 4 - 6pm for Happy Hour and order off of that menu for great food and savings. Our party of 8, ate almost exclusively off of the Happy Hour menu al a carte style. p.s. I'm NOT a big sushi fan but it's great here, especially VOLCANO ROLL!

The seafood is all fried. I really wanted seafood for dinner. They had a good sushi selection but I don't like sushi. My husband had ribs. He said they were good. The atmosphere and setting were great. They had a wonderful 2 man band playing. We probably will not be back.

What fun place! Super busy with over 45 minute wait, but the bar is full service. We had to wait 15 minutes just for a seat at the bar. But while you wait the have tons of seating in the back where there was a magician keeping kids and adults busy and entertained while they wait and live music. When we got our seats at the bar our server/bartender was awesome (super busy but very attentive and friendly). The drinks were tasty and strong, the food was cooked perfectly and oh so good. Fun place to end our staycation.

It was our first time here (we were actually following a band that we liked). We come to NMB once a year and since our kids don't come with us anymore, we are able to explore new places. We arrived early, to the restaurant, since the reviews said it got busy quick. We were seated at a table and Kellen was our server. Since I was a server (in a previous life ha!) I told her we would be there for a while. She understood the assignment and never skipped a beat to take care of us. The atmosphere and service was so good that we went back a few days later with my neice, husband and their friends. Kennedy was equally as kind and a gracious server. We will be definitely make this a main stop on our vacation!

Food was greasy and not seasoned at all. Fish was horrible, never again. Husband got ribs and said they were the worst ever. Crab dip was a bit too cheesy and tasted more like a rotel dip with very little to none crab in it. Tables were tooooo close together, extremely humid inside, waitress was not very friendly.its a no go for me.

Fried shrimp was amazing!!! I liked the chips with ranch dressing for dipping. We also got fries and they are coated in something that just made them a little more crispy yum. Onion rings we great. The Mac and cheese was kinda dry it’s like they need an additional kind of cheese in with it to make it better. It was like 90% and we ate on the back deck and there was a nice breeze so it truly was just fine and I usually would want the ac. Our server was Tay-Mc And she was amazing she kept checking on us and made sure food was good and drinks. Great smile and personality. We laughed a lot with her. She actually recommended not getting the Mac and cheese but we did anyway 😳🙄😂. Great experience will be back every year and probably multiple times the week we stay.

We were originally told we had to wait 35 minutes for a table so we sat at the bar and we're able to eat there immediately! We had the crab nacho dip appetizer. My hubby had the bacon cheeseburger and said it was awesome and I had the chicken cranberry pecan wrap with hush puppies. The food was really good and the two girls that were working the bar were awesome. We'll definitely be back!

Service was quick, huge selection all well done.. masters at all!! So good my teens went back the next day! I was happy that we had the time to stop in. It was busy but they had activities throughout to keep the kids entertained for the time we spent waiting to be seated, which is appreciated. I would stop by again during a less busy time.

Me and my spouse went when they were very very busy, but the service and food was amazing I loved sitting outside and seeing the water the salmon roll was absolutely amazing it had a huge portion of salmon inside of it which was great!

Really the best atmosphere around! Loved the lights, the bay and the music. The food was great, especially the crab dip appetizer. My son loved the lobster basket. I will say the service was a little slow, but they were busy. Definitely a perfect place to dine out with friends and family!
