The Divina Arepa was amazing! Love the name 💞. Food was so well seasoned. 🤌🏾

Authentic Venezuelan taste! There's not tons of seating - maybe 9 tables that could each fit ~4-6 people along with a bar to sit at, so come early busy hours!

Heard good reviews about Bolivar & Lincoln. Finally decided to give it try. It was unfortunately not a pleasant experience. Took 15 minutes to order & once we did, our drinks were not received for another 30 minutes. The waiter came back to ask us what we ordered again which signified he had either forgotten our order or there was an error in the kitchen. After waiting another 15 minutes we decided to ask for the food to go. I liked the passion fruit drink & the empanadas but after waiting that long I ended up eating it later. I would advise them to be honest with their customers if there is an issue In the kitchen to allow us to be more understanding because no one is perfect & things may happen beyond our control. But the lack of communication was frustrating. Hope to receive better service if I ever find my way back to Bolivar & Lincoln.

Found this place on google and decided to try it out because of the high ratings, and it definitely did not disappoint!! Everything we ordered was so fresh and flavorful. Our server was so sweet and checked on us multiple times. Definitely check this place out if you’re in Chicago!!

The food was amazing. I was amazed by how good their service. The restaurant staff checked multiple times how the food was if we needed something. The restaurant also had a very nice and cool vibe. Would definitely recommend it.

WOW, amazing! I just had one of the best breakfasts in a very long time. My issue with South Beach is it is a tourist trap, and for a $35 breakfast you want to at least leave feeling full. Well this breakfast was $15.99 and the taste was over the top and yes I am leaving very satisfied!

As soon as I came in I was greeted by their friendly staff. The restaurant was clean, had good music and is BYOB. I ordered a pineapple juice and an arepa pabellón. The pineapple juice was freshly made and it was delicious! My only criticism is that the could’ve filtered out the pulp. The arepa was fresh, well-seasoned and packed with meat! Overall, it was a great first experience and would highly recommend if you’re looking to venture out to other Hispanic cultures.

This is a charming spot in Lakeview offering fantastic Venezuelan eats! The food was amazing, and the ambiance of the back alley is lovely and perfect for the summer. We ordered the tequenos, the party animal Arepa, and the Pabellon Criollo, and each dish exceeded our expectations. The tequenos had a satisfying crunch and delightful cheesiness. The arepa was a real treat with well-flavored pork pieces. The shredded beef in the Pabellon Criollo was so tender and juicy. The dining experience was very enjoyable - the service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the overall environment was fantastic. We’re excited to return again soon!

Gigantic Arepas! It was huge and I couldn’t finish it. I wish they have better condiments/salsa. I would like to try other dishes.

Delicious! We went to Bolivar and Lincoln on a recommendation from a friend, and the café did not disappoint. I had the Queen Arepa. Delicious, however I should note the chicken avocado salad is served cold. My partner's chicken empanada was outstanding. The meat was so well seasoned. I loved the blend of spices; both spicy and earthy delivering a taste combination I'd never experienced before. We were too full to try the flan, but we'll plan to leave room next time! I'd recommend to anyone in a heartbeat!!

Fantastic flavors in a Lakeview cafe! Tucked just off the commercial streets is a small cafe serving deliciously rich Latin flavors. My daughter and I split the appetizer platter (great) and I had the Pabellon arepa - amazing (fortunately came with extra napkins, can’t help but dive right in). She loved the queen arepa as well. Each sandwich was enough for a full meal so we had plenty to take home Small interior is colorfully decorated and the tables are nicely spaced. Also has a small patio to the side for nice days. Very friendly service. Definitely succeeds in bringing a taste of Venezuela to Chicago! We will be back!

My first time having Venezuelan . Very welcoming place in North Halstead Tried arepa for the first time. Chicken with gouda. Blondie Loved the taste . Was very filling also. Will surely come back to try more on the menu

Had the cowboy and the blondie arepas which were pretty great, the flavors were certainly a surprise given the area. The two arepas and one jarritos came out to over $40 dollars, and wait time was 30 min.

I walk by here all the time and decided that it was finally time to get some empanadas. Luckily for me, they’re 100% worth it. They’re pretty big, crispy on the outside, and full of deliciousness on the inside. Weirdly, when you’re inside you feel like you’ve been transported out of Chicago. The city moves on outside but inside Bolivar & Lincoln you’re in a whole different world and it feels good to escape, even if only for a short while.

The arepas are fresh and delicious! However, we had to wait for an hour for our food and if it wasn't because I got up and asked about our order who knows how long would have been. So disappointed with the attention.

The place is highly recommended, the food has a very characteristic seasoning, we ordered tequeños, the thin and crispy dough and a grill that was in good shape and flavor. Not to mention the sauces! One richer than the other!! The attention is good. The place is very nice and the music is 5/5. Overall very good experience.

We arrived and Sanyi was very welcoming, we arrived at happy hour and the house wine was great (sauv blanc) I had skirt steak which was good and my wife had cazuela pacífico which was fantastic and was Sanyi’s favourite also. The service was great and the atmosphere was so nice.

Not everything is perfect. There is good service, but the very plastic cachapa dough is nothing like the Venezuelan one, a lot to improve with that. The shredded meat is not the best either. I rescue the roast chicken. Tequenos are not the best either. Maybe I went on a bad day for them, but I am always honest with my reviews. It would be a 7.0 out of 10.

I took an acquaintance from Venezuela to this place. We had a sudden change of plans and could not take the acquaintance to a known Venezuelan Restaurant as Bien Me Sabe or Rica Arepa. The waiter was a Colombian Gentleman by name Carlos Andrés. The food was cold. The bills showed a tax that we were non-familiar with. Upon inquiring to Carlos, he did not know what the additional tax was about. In less that 48 hours, We received an email from Capitol One to contact Bolivar and Lincoln because there was an overcharge in the credit card. The overcharge is not at the original of the credit card customer receipt. We called three times on March 4, 20 24. A Gentleman without an accent that was not Carlos Andre’s answered a cell phone based from Minneapolis. This is the cell phone on the credit card slip. The unaccented man refused to identify himself. The man hang up the telephone in three consecutive times. My acquaintances texted me their receipt. There was a second tax illegal in Chicago present at their receipt that it was different from the tax I questioned Carlos Andre’s about while in the premises. Under further investigation, the name of my acquaintance appears on my customer receipt. After these three money overcharges and the name abnormality, plus hanging the telephone three times, please, go to another of the multiple Venezuelan restaurants in the city. There was a Cuban restaurant doing this at the corner of Briar and Broadway on Lakeview. The news closed the place. It is time for the news or the city to close this one. Since they operate from a Minneapolis based celular telephone, it might be the same people under a different name. Go to another Venezuelan restaurant of the very many in the city. The place is quite small anyways as compared with others.

My family and I went here for lunch, it was great! The staff was welcoming and accommodating for our party of 8, even though the place is a bit small. The food was delicious, tequenos were gooey and the sauce on the side was so flavorful and just the right amount of spicy. Most of us got an arepa with a coffee, and we all enjoyed our meals. My only complaint is I just thought the place was a bit too cold.

It was our first time to try Venezuelan food. The staff was friendly and gave very good recommendations. The cowboy arepa and pabellon criollo were both an excellent choice.

Amazing arepas! Each one has its own unique unsuspecting flavor. My husband and I each ordered one to start but had to split another just so we could try as many as possible. We don’t live in the neighborhood but we plan to venture out again for more very soon! Highly recommend

This was my first time trying Arepas and am so glad came here. Not only were they excellent (not too greasy, great flavor distribution) they were surprisingly affordable. Furthermore, every guest will appreciate their comic book aesthetic of pictures of Símon Bolívar and Abraham Lincoln.

Im a local from the beach and I also work there, i love this place, from their food to their service. Music, ambience, my bartender Camila was perfect, she even use some Ice shots glasses she made her own as a surprise for her guest. We loved it, me and my friends will be definitely coming back. The food was amazing, their chicharrón and yuca frita exquisite! And of course the manager checking on us.

The food here is amazing very tasty, as well as the flavor of it is very accurate to the Venezuela’s cuisine as a Venezuelan myself I can vouch for that besides the prices are decent. However the service was terrible they didn’t treat us badly or rudely but I didn’t expected such a poorly service with an empty restaurant at the moment we were there. Despite that, the food is what really stands out from this place.

One of those places where you take the first bite and you think, holy cow, that is SO good. Had the Taquenos appetizer and a cowboy Arepa. Just fantastic, and the sauces are out of this world. May be the best food I've had this year. And the staff are super nice.

The cafe has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of their Venezuelan specialties. Highly recommended!

I had the ham and cheese arepa here over a year ago and I was thinking of it ever since. Finally made it this week to have another and it’s just as delicious as I remember. Huge portion, I was stuffed!
