Boloco has become a recent obsession. It's a Chipotle-style build your own burrito place. They have really fresh ingredients and tons if topping options. For their meatless choice they have grilled tofu or you could just have different vegetables. I've gone a few times and the staff is always friendly and there has never been too large of a line.

I left a bad review a while back, and the owner responded and was super understanding and even gave me a discount for my next burrito. The food definitely improved this time around, got a good sized burrito and chips!! Shout out to Boloco management!!

Edit: the owner reached out and fully refunded my meal, and asked more about how it went wrong so he can address the issues with staff. It's clear that Mr Pepper cares about the quality of food and service, so hopefully my bad experience was just a fluke. Original: Disappointed. Came here after a few years out of Hanover, and immediately thought the ownership must have changed. Turns out that's the case. Used to be delicious food, now it's lower quality than Chipotle. Sad day. Side note- as a vegetarian, I was disappointed to see a big chunk of chicken in the red salsa. I pointed it out and the worker was just like "yeah, that happens sometimes"

It is similar to Chipotle. The choices are pretty good. We had some difficulty finding it from the street because the sign is small and the restaurant is actually down in the basement

Insanely good food here. Took a flyer on trying it and boy were we glad we did. My wife did the Modern Mexican Bowl and loved it. I built my own quesadilla and it was lights out good.

I am new to the area, traveling for work, while asking about a decent burrito in the area, a local coworker mentioned this place, he said it's like "chipotle". Man this place is way better!! so tasty I've tried chicken, steak, and today the carnitas just amazing! Food is excellent just beware if you order pickup you may have to circle around the block couple times or may have to park a block or two away. I believe it's worth the inconvenience...

Definitely will tell all my friends and family about this place I can't get enough of these goloco burritos stay open forever please thanks for the awesome food.

With the new owners, under the guidance of the co-founder, it seems that the restaurant has improved the quality of the ingredients and the flavor-fullness of the dishes. My summer burrito is similar to how I remember it, pre-pandemic. Now, if they could only bring back the smoothies and the Nutella milkshake, I will add another star to make it five stars. Please…. Recognizing that people are hungry at late hours in the night, I think it is helpful that they are now open till 9 o’clock as of May 2024.

Service fantastic, atmosphere fantastic, food couldn’t be worse. I felt like I was eating cardboard, and even the cardboard probably would have more of a zest.

I am incredibly disappointed with both my most recent experience at Boloco as well as the lack of service and communication since. I was not originally going to post a negative review, but I am quite disheartened to see a restaurant I once loved decline so much in quality. About a week ago, I placed an order ahead for pickup. I had a busy evening, so I wanted to pick up something quick, easy, and reliable from Boloco. Normally, I am quite satisfied by the food I receive from Boloco. The food is fresh, delicious, and made quickly. However, when I ordered ahead last week, my food was not prepared at the time of pickup. It looked busy, so I decided to wait a bit before asking a staff member. After waiting for 20 minutes (for an order I placed ahead of time), I decided to ask the staff if they were working on my order and when it would be ready. I was told that they were preparing it and that it would be ready soon. I ended up waiting another 40 minutes before they even started working on my order. I was literally standing in Boloco waiting for food I intended to pick up for AN HOUR. The staff workers were aware that I ordered ahead and made awkward eye contact with me for the whole time I was waiting. I was super uncomfortable and unhappy. I am also quite upset by the fact that people who were ordering in person were receiving their food much faster than me. I am not sure why the long line of people were in and out much faster than me, but I was incredibly annoyed by the fact that I ordered ahead for fast food and then ended up waiting longer than anyone. Because they didn't start my order until almost the end of the night, they were out of many of the toppings I had ordered for my burrito, so I did not even get to eat the food I wanted. The rice was undercooked; the meat was cold; half the toppings I ordered were missing. The bowl I ordered did not have cheese or lettuce on it. After waiting inside for a literal hour, I was incredibly upset to be eating mediocre food. After my incredibly subpar experience, I reached out to customer service through the website. I explained that the food and service I received were not the quality I was used to from Boloco, and instead I was ignored. I have not heard anything back and I am incredibly dismayed by the lack of service and support both that night and since. As someone who once loved and depended on Boloco for quick and delicious food, i am incredibly, incredibly disappointed.

Great customer service! I ordered food to be delivered to my workplace yesterday and doordash did not deliver it to the right place (not boloco's fault). One of the owner's CJ immediately reached out to me and made sure the order was remade and got delivered to me at work today. I also got a free cookie. CJ was extremely communicative and helpful, I've never had a restaurant be so committed to making things right! And the food was great :)

My food was late and cold. These review responses are also condescending, Hanover Boloco. It's obvious that the level of service has dropped recently. Waiting to see if anything changes.

Everyone knows my reviews. I’m fair and honest.Its Amazing to my that the owner did not greet or smiles at anyone as she rang people up. I don’t think she should be taking on that role. A smile goes a long way. I went here with my woman tonight. Customer service was subpar. Didn’t see anyone smiling or greeting customers as they ordered. Ordered classic Mexican with carnitas and extra protein. Pork was dry as can be. The attached photo will prove that. If you know pork you’ll see it’s dry as flour. Absolutely no flavor at all. Food was also cold. Makes me wonder if they are following town regulations. Attaching pics. I do not recommend at all. Chipotle and Moe’s is by far better which is sad because they are a huge chain.

We've been coming to Boloco for 3-4 years now, and while we liked it, things have really improved under the new owner! The space feels warmer and more inviting, it's cleaner, the service is friendlier, and the food is definitely tastier. I always get the elote burrito, and I noticed on a recent visit it was so much more delicious than it had been on previous visits. If you haven't been in a while, highly recommend coming back. Now that the place is under new ownership. The restaurant got a major upgrade!

Great food and service. I wanted to update my review after ordering food last week. Since it was less than a hour till closing I could not use the online service so I called in and after giving my order information I was asked to add a tip. I found it frustrating to be forced to tip for counter service that I would pick up. I can't imagine this is approved policy to put a customer on the spot like that. I doubt the employees are paid wages that rely on tips. I couldn't imagine finishing a project at my job and putting my hand out. In the future, if I call in an order and asked for a tip I will cancel it. Tipping culture in the US has gone nuts.

The owner is always pushy when ordering and rushes us along (even when there’s no line). Often, the rice is undercooked and they are out of vegetables etc. The prices continue to increase and the portion sizes continue to decrease. Unfortunately, Boloco has become less worth going yo. In the area, however, I would recommend Boloco over Moe’s.

The food is a little pricey, but it's good and the quality makes it worth it I really like their baked tofu.

We online ordered an original burrito with steak, boloco rice, cheese, mango salsa, guacamole & buffalo sauce. We received nothing in the burrito besides steak, the wrong rice, and cheese. We payed for those extra add ons and they didn’t put a single one on there. Won’t be back.

Favorite place for when I need something quick and delicious

Ordered delivery at 11:30 AM, my coworkers ordered around 12ish, three orders came in around 1:30 none of them were mine, I had to wait another hour for the food to come in they said they would refund the order but they never did... I am very disappointed I have been ordering from them for years!

The final Boloco! Farewell to the ones in Vermont and Boston, but the Hanover Boloco is holding it down in a big way.

Compared to chipotle this place is a bit of a disappointment. Small portion sizes (they don’t fill the bowl), a lot of rice, and not as much flavor. There’s plenty of good seating both indoors and outside the restaurant. This strikes me as the kind of place that does well with college students after a night out but as a normal restaurant it’s very meh 🫤

Love BOLOCO (Boston local company) so sad to see other locations changing to “B goods”. Best burritos and cookies!

This was hands-down the worst Boloco I've ever been to. The bathroom floor was dirty, the lights were broken, and the one stall had a broken lock. My rice bowl had very oversalted rice, they forgot to add my extra guac, there was no flavor to the tofu whatsoever and the actual flavor - the summer bowl fruits and veggies - were barely present. It was the most expensive, worst rice/bean bowl I've ever had. My partner wasn't impressed with his meal, either.

Lhdk food and plenty of it. Both my wife and I had burritos I I larger one as I am the larger person. Interesting in how it works. They have a variety of different things that you can add to your burrito. They have been ordering which they place things on a burrito and I'm sure works with the other things they sell. I had considered getting a quesadilla but burritos seem the right thing to do. They take the taco and steam it so it's nice and soft. I'm not sure I like that that much. I think I'd rather have my taco on steamed and then they put the ingredients in one by one. There are extra charges for queso. Those extra charge I think for Glock as well as for some of the proteins. Gives you a lot of food they do give you. Or you can get plastic knife on fork but it's kind of small for the purpose and the knife is not going to cut anything. Overall food is very good. The atmosphere is a bit stark but I'll be going back when I'm up in Hanover. Physically the place is a basement restaurant, there are some windows that let light in from the front and there's plenty of lighting so it's not an issue. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended for families for kids for college students.

Thank you for changing your recipe back !!!!!!!! My daughter and I love boloco and ever since the concord NH location closed many years ago we now travel to Hanover just for you !!! We went a few times in the last 2 years and we were not happy our burritos were sour and just not good and we drove an hour and a half one way, that’s a three hour trip just to throw them away after a couple of bites. Well today we said let’s give them one more chance and we made the trip and I’m so happy that we did !!! my burrito tasted like my very first Boloco so many years ago Thank you for a delicious lunch and again thank you for changing your recipe back to the original If it’s not broken don’t fix it ♥️

Yummy! Quick. Lots of great options for meat lovers and vegetarian and vegan. I love the farro as an option.

Food is delicious! I didn't always feel this way because I was always building my own burrito and then I started ordering the specialty items and now I order like once a week! Food is top notch!

We recently came to the Hanover location to get takeout and I experienced a situation with one of the employees that needed to be resolved. John Pepper, one of the co-founders, took the time to speak to me on the phone to clarify any misunderstanding that happened and come up with empathetic steps to take moving forward. We've always love the food at Boloco (it kept us nourished during the three months our infant was staying at the Intensive Care Nursery at Dartmouth) but I have even more respect for this establishment now!

Excellent food and excellent service

The Elote Burrito is the best thing on the menu. I'm a tad biased cause I love elote. I'm told the other styles and custom burritos (like Moe's or Chipotle) are good as well.

Yeah we eat here every week. Generally they're great. Don't come here on busy days though.

My experience with Boloco is always top notch! They get our food order correct, the food is always fresh and delicious, they deliver in a prompt manner (usually before the expected delivery time) and the staff is kind!

Front door did not close leaving the whole place chilly. On the other hand the food was delicious and unique. You get to basically tell them what to put in your burritos. The staff was truly super helpful and friendly. Great place for a quick lunch.

My daughter loves this place. Burritos are pretty good for fast food and service was excellent during a recent visit. The young workers had great attitudes and were very friendly. Management must be doing something right.

Worst excuse for a "burrito" at BoLoCo in Lebanon, NH. Okay, I get it... Dartmouth is 2,200 miles from the Mexican border. But seriously? We bought 4 burritos and all four were essentially "dry, rice burritos". Probably a full cup of rice, wrapped in a cold tortilla, with bits of chicken and beans added as flavorings, rather than as ingredients. If you want Mexican food in Lebanon, you're better off spending your money on one of those dangerous-looking "tacquitos" under the heat lamp at 7-11.

Just started work at Dartmouth and ordered a small burrito. It was fantastic and I’m going to be spending way too much money at this place.

Boloco is just great Mexican food with plenty of choices, many sides & it is so convenient to order online & pick up. Boloco=Delicious!

The food is overall average. It's edible and fine, and that's about it. It fills a niche in Hanover which doesn't have all that much quick service, so it's technically one of the fastest options. It's helped me out in the past when I was in a pinch and needed a bite to eat, gets 3 stars for that. But it's not exactly a standout meal, at least for me. Edited: My initial review was unnecessarily harsh.

It was fine, nothing really that good and when I went they were very behind on to-go orders, so I had to wait almost 10 minutes to order. It would have been worth it if the food was good but it was just pretty mediocre. :(

Today was probably our 10th visit to this Boloco in Hanover, and it seems the quality and friendliness is dropping off. I've been to a bunch of Boloco restaurants in Boston, and every time the staff has been very friendly. During today's visit, and even after double checking to make sure sauce was added, it tasted like it wasn't. Our burritos were very bland. Secondly, it felt like the "older" gentleman working there was short and hurrying us along with only 1 person behind us. They were not busy! This has happened the last couple times, and we've always friendly, so I'm not sure why we were treated this way. I can overlook bland food or minor errors occasionally, but not unfriendly service. Not sure I will be going back.

Ordered food for delivery. Was very disappointed by the charred cookies they sent us. These are inedible. They are rock hard and burnt to a crisp. You can see one of the cookies is normal, but then 2 of them are roasted. I let management know about this and they made it right and some. I Will continue to give boloco my business because of their prompt effort to make things right.

Oh how I love chomping down on a massive burrito with everything in it! My favorite order is the modern Mexican burrito, sized up, with carnitas, broccoli, corn, and whatever cheeses and sauces strike my fancy that day. It's quite worth the price, too! If I had one crib, it would be the common crib about burritos, which is that the burrito is a bit heterogenous: I would prefer each bite to have a little bit of everything. My friends are known to like their classic Mexican and elote corn options as well. They have the same options for their tacos, salads, and bowls too; and each item has very flexible, subway-like customizability. For me, it's basically Subway for burritos. Overall, I love Boloco for enabling some of my most wholesome, comforting, face-stuffing meals. It's the kind of thing to follow up with a nap or a nice book. Update: worth mentioning, they're pretty affordable, too. And also, my new favorite is the summer burrito!

As I peeled away the foil from my latest purchase to reveal the burrito within, I genuinely paused for a moment to admire how well-wrapped my burrito was. Where other establishments might peddle leaky or torn tortillas, I was so impressed by how snug and secure my burrito was that I had to write a review, and I literally never do that. While we're at it, I'll just say it - Boloco is better than Chipotle. Change my mind.

Oh my!! My first visit to a Boloco and won’t be my last!! Their options for vegetarian and vegans and the health Conscience are great; Tofu, beyond burger, farro and brown rice!! I ordered a Yummy bowl and had the awesome staff fill it with farro, tofu, black beans not swimming in salt, caramized onions, carrots and broccoli and topped it with a tantalizing mango salsa and cojoita cheese!! Yum

My biggest complaint is that the food was a bit bland, so grab some extra hot sauce on your way to sit down. It is also not at all handicap friendly, so skip it if you have trouble with stairs (that is one star off). Otherwise the interior was nice and clean, and there were some nice outdoor seating options. The food was healthy and priced on par with similar restaurants. The staff was nice and helpful.

Boloco is a great joint for a burrito, easy for take-out, easy for order ahead, good variety for all diet types.

My wife and I had lunch at Boloco -- and both of us were quite satisfied. Not outstanding by any means but a decent and tasty lunch without being costly. That worked for us!

We've missed Boloco since they left BTV and were so happy to detour on our road trip for some burritos!

We had a great experience. The food was good. The best thing about the place was the staff. We were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The booths were comfortable, and they sell my favorite iced tea.

Wonderful place to go for a treat or night out with friends. The menu letting you pick your food and what style you like it in opens up loads of possibilities, and is very unique. My personal favorite combo is the "Elote Nachos with Steak".

Decent food overall, but it's expensive and inconsistent. Portion sizes are reasonable, but for the price, I'd expect more (the biggest burrito is really a medium compared to other places I've been). The main issue I've had is the inconsistency. On more than one occasion the tortilla has been hard, rice hard, and filling not hot enough. Other times it's been great though...

ECO FRIENDLY. High level of respect for BOLOCO. They have great tasting food that is sourced in a responsible way and ALL OF THEIR KITCHEN SCRAPS GET COMPOSTED AND FED TO ANIMALS AT A LOCAL FARM.
