Great food ,great portions, amazing flavor

The food was phenomenal and the owners were so friendly!! In town for business and now wish I had an excuse to be in the area more often to have the opportunity to try more of their menu. Would highly recommend eating here.

I didn't like Indian food before coming here, but the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the garlic nan and the lamb curry.

Horrible restaurant never coming back again I ordered food from them on doordash they gave it to another person didn’t ask for the persons name or anything I will never come back they gave me the worst customer service. I didn’t even have lunch because of this situation. I talked to the lady to the phone she didn’t tell me what happened and was being rude about it I asked her if I could still get my food she said no and hung up on my face if you want the worst service come to this store. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. If I could give them 0 star I would.

Went here with a party of five - we comfortably split three entrees. Some of the best Indian food I've had in this country, just bar none. The butter chicken was absolutely the best, and the Tikka masala and mutter paneer were flavorful and amazing. The best places are little holes in the wall just like this one. Did not disappoint!!

I usually call ahead for the thali. The non-vegetarian thali. It usually consists of 3 different kinds of chicken dishes: Tika Masala, Curry, and Tandoori,etc . The thali also includes basmati rice, roti,chutney, and two maybe three vegetables and a desert. The vegetarian thali usually consists of four to five different vegetable dishes from Korma, curry,vindaloo,and samosa, etc. The vegetarian thali includes roti, chutney, and a desert as well. They are all excellent and large portioned. If you want to try Indian food, then the thali is the best way to go. The thali is only available during lunchtime, which ends at 2:30. They are all excellent authentic and excellent. Before I pick up my order, I go to the grocery store on the right of the building. It has just about everything you can think of from every region of India, and beyond fresh and frozen. customer service it is on this side is cordial and knowledgeable.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had.

The food was perfect. The chef knows what he is doing. Most things are made from scratch and every dish we order was authentic and fresh. The menu is a good blend of south and North dishes. Great place for vegetarian dishes too.

Very good food. No longer has a buffet, but the sampler plate has a good amount of food (enough for a takeout tray for another meal).

Don’t go the restaurant based on the reviews…. No proper service, basics like spoon and tissues were also provided after 10 min of request and we ordered the food that was served after 45 min of order…we ordered chicken kadai which had paneer and poor ambience and service, a big no to this restaurant.

Food was good but not worth the wait. I ordered off Uber eats it took over 2 hours for the food to even be ready for pickup- 2 entrees and 2 apps then when it was received it had tons of cilantro and parsley mixed in. Neither herb was mentioned in the descriptions and both my friend and I hate those herbs would have asked for them to be prepared without especially given the wait time. I felt horrible for the Uber driver waiting that entire time. If I had been given the chance I would have cancelled the order after an hour with the exception of the tip for the driver.

After spending $45 on take out food from this place, we had to trash the food. Food was not good at all. We were there more than an hour to get two dishes of food. We were so disappointed 😞

We got takeout and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious and authentic the food tasted. We ordered spicy paneer tikka masala and spicy okra masala. The dishes were very spicy as expected, and we especially loved the spicy paneer tikka masala.

We ordered vegetarian thali. They served ladies fingers fry and paneer gravy, Basmati rice one rasmalai and naan. There is no dal. Naan is good, the fry looked little burnt and paneer gravy is too watery . Not satisfied, but ok for the price 14.99.

Was vising Charleston, this restaurant seems to be having good rating in Indian cuisine restaurants. but really disappointed after having dinner. They served staled bhaji (pav-bhaji), excessive use of artificial coloring + low quality masala (paneer makhni), Tasteless daal makhni, reheated leftover rice, even curd was not fresh. i like only breads.

The first impression when I walked in to the restaurant side was that it looked very small and it had a laid back casual feel. There are 2 entrances when walking in through the main door. The left side is the restaurant and the right is the grocery store. I was not able to experience the grocery store. I went into the restaurant side. The staff was very helpful, polite and friendly. The menu has many options. We had a party of 3. I ordered the tandoori chicken. The rest of the table ordered chicken curry and curry lamb. We ordered garlic naan for the table. All the food was very delicious. The presentation was good. The food is served family style. I would recommend going.

Out of curiosity, we decided to try this little hole in the wall restaurant/grocery store. I love this cuisine for the flavor and variety of spices that usually lack in traditional American Cuisine! This is the best that I have ever eaten! The butter chicken, Naan, and the Chicken Curry are out of this world! Highly recommend this place if you are ever in Charleston and want to eat superior Indian Cuisine.

I eat Indian food everywhere around the world and around the states, this Restuarnt was one of the best I ever had. Very good and very tasty food.

This is the most friendly Indian Restaurant I have ever been to the USA. Their service is very amicable. The food is really tasty and closest to the authentic Indian cuisine than any other restaurants in South Carolina. Garlic Naan is a must try and recommended item. I took their Lamb Boti Masala and Papri Chaat also. Those were really good too.

I ordered online directly from the restaurant’s website. When I got back to the office I discovered one of the items I ordered was missing. The restaurant said they can’t refund the missing item because I ordered online and no one at the “Snaptown” company that processes the payments will answer the phone. On top of that, the container for one of the dipping sauces wasn’t sealed properly and leaked all over everything, ruining the rice that was supposed to go with my entree. The fact that I am missing an item and a second item was rendered inedible, and am not able to get my money back is completely unacceptable. Despite the fact that the food that was edible and actually there was good, I will never eat there or order from them again because I will not support a restaurant with such unethical business practices.

Food is good but server told us thirty minutes until did was done and we sat there a whole 1 and a half hours. Good place but they served people that were there after me before me. I'm not sure they quite understand first come first serve or maybe they don't abide by it. Last time I'm coming here

Their prices are ridiculous and the food is not that great to warrant the price. Go to taste of India, cleaner and much better than this garbage they serve.

It's really good food. The portions are a lot. I am definitely coming back here often and bringing every friend I know to eat here, as well as swinging by the market. I look forward to coming back!

Great restaurant! Family run with delicious food! A little sad to see the buffet is temporarily(?) gone but they make up for it with the lunch specials!

My husband and I have eaten here several times. Their service is always friendly, the food is AMAZING. I cannot say enough good things. The food does take kind of a long time to come out but that's only because everything is freshly made. It is well worth the wait!

A place to go for Indian groceries in North Charleston. The prices are seemed little high than India Spice in West Ashley but you can find everything you need. The store owners are very polite and cooperative. Help you find thins and recommend what’s best.

Family owned. The server was nice. They do take out and Uber eats. The butter naan is great. The chicken tiki masala is amazing. My wife got chicken curry. It was good. Definitely going back.

Randomly saw this place today. Decided to try it. Service was great and the food was amazing! Large portions for price. Would have never thought much of it by the outside. I will definitely return! I need to go take a nap now!

Best Indian restaurant in Charleston Authantic Indian taste, bombay is our go to restaurant our fav dishes are Panner chilli Dry, kaju curry, panner tikka masala,Sahi panner, Dal tadka , even the south Indian food is also good here.

The service was disappointingly slow. The server took nearly 30 minutes to bring our initial order, and when we inquired about the missing Naan, she seemed confused and questioned if we had even ordered it. The Kadai Paneer fell short, lacking the flavorful touch which we get in street vendors' dishes in India. We regretted our visit and would not recommend this restaurant to others.

The food I had was the special and it brought a little of everything. I had a huge beer for 6 dollars. Everything tasted interesting and some of it had a spicy kick to it. All in all I recommend it

I really like the indian tali for lunch. The dish is different everyday. It comes with naan bread. You will not go away hungry!

Had an amazing experience for dinner. The food was so delicious and tasted like authentic Indian flavoured.

This place is top notch for food quality and always kindly greeted. Got take out this time but past 4 times I’ve dined in. Lunch special plate is hands down awesome if you don’t know what to get. Sometimes I just come here for a garlic Naan and Mango Lassi snack or get it to go. I could eat here every day.

Best Indian food in the Carolinas, and I've had plenty of Indian food. Place is a hidden gem for sure. I've ordered food here like 5 times in the past couple weeks, that's how good it is that its becoming a problem for my wallet. I recommend the chicken Korma, the Rasmalai, and either the chili garlic Naan or the Kashmiri Naan (if you like something sweet). They will make it for you to the exact level of spice you want so if you like spicy food you need to specify, otherwise it will be very mild to appeal to the basic southerners palate around here. I recommend ordering "extra spicy". Absolutely delicious and great service. Their vegetarian options are also great, I recommend the vegetarian korma with its wide assortment of veggies and Indian cheese (paneer).

First time stopping. Really enjoyed the meals we had. Chicken Tikka was one of the best we've had. Naan was on point as well. We stocked up in the grocery store as well. I'm sure we'll stop again next time we visit Charleston.

My goodness the food here was absolutely delicious! Got the Onion Kulcha and Aloo Paratha for our breads. Incredible. The Aloo was slightly better than the Kulcha but by a hair. For main we had Goat Korma and Lamb Saag. The goat just fell off the bone, so tender and flavorful. Dessert was Gulab Jamun was alright. More of a texture issue for us. Overall just amazing food. Nice quiet intimate setting.

Some of the best food you can find in north Charleston by a country mile. The extra hot vegetable dumplings (Malai Kofta) were, no exaggeration, absolutely amazing. I'll be adding this spot to my list of regulars!

Me and my girlfriend went there today staff were great and omg that food was the best Indian I've ever had. This place is one of those hole in the wall places that is absolutely delicious.They also got a indian grocery store in the same building which is cool.

I have seen this place for years, but hubby is not into Indian food so I never got any. This weekend I treated myself to a feast, and I was not disappointed. The mixed appetizers were mostly a bunch of fried stuff: bell pepper strips, onion florets, little patties I suspect we're chickpea-based, balls of something, and 1 big puff that was stuffed with something. The puff was the best, the rest rather underwhelming. That is the only part of my order that was less than stellar. Now to the raves: The butter chicken is perfect for people who might be new to Indian food. Not spicy, not overly curried, so tender and just beautiful. The chicken vindaloo ordered medium-spicy was my favorite! Definitely a kick, even spiceheads may stop there. Again, chicken so tender and just packed with flavor! The naan both butter and garlic were fresh and fluffy, perfect for scooping up the Phav Baji, which disappeared first. It's a delicious appetizer and quite filling. It came with split rolls but I liked it better with the naan. The Masala tea was basically unsweetened hot Chai, and served with 3 sugar packets. 2 were sufficient. It was the perfect accompaniment to this highly-spiced and delectable meal. I just finished the butter chicken for dinner, and the last of the vindaloo will be my work lunch tomorrow. I'll absolutely be ordering again, hubby can fend for himself.

The food was very Tasty. We got the tandori chicken, tiki masala and chicken biriyani. Just a heads up the /2 tandori chicken and chicken biriyani serving is enough for at least 2. We also ordered lamb samosa, aloo tikka, roti and butter and garlic Naan bread. All very delicious. The rice pudding was to watery for my liking but flavor was good. Service and Atmosphere were both good.

Food is 5 star when they cook authentic nd when I order online I get it authentic but if its not ready when I walk in to pick up my food I get the nasty watered down version extremely annoying since foodn is like 30 a plate smh... very disappointed with my food today I knew it would happen once I walked in.

Great food. Small hole in the wall. Service isn't always the best but they always serve you with a smile food is definitely fresh and sometimes takes a while but worth the wait! Don't be in a rush take it all in and enjoy the meal.

The staff is great! I’ve tried butter chicken and chicken korma which were both phenomenal. The only thing I’ll say is there can be a wait sometimes if you’re dining in, so plan accordingly! We typically wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour but it’s so worth it so I won’t knock off a star for that. ☺️

I use to work across the street and ate here as much as possible. Great food. Wonderful staff. Grocery side is awesome too! Haven't been since 2019 but I plan on visiting tomorrow! I can't wait!!!

Must have been an off night. We sat without drinks for a while. Looked around and no one else had food so we figured if we wanted something to eat we better go elsewhere. Maybe next time.

This is my favorite Indian in Charleston.

Very welcoming staff and suitably located near North Charleston. We ordered Togo Indian dishes like Malai Kofta, Dal Takda , Tandoor roti and food was delicious. We all enjoyed having it at our hotel in our short trip to Charleston downtown

Food was AMAZING but the server was not very attentive. If they come and check on the table after the food is served, they could be doing so much better.

Did not order food here so I can not comment. I come here for fresh herbs and spices plus a few veggies I can't get elsewhere fresh. Decent people wider than expected selection. Hours are a bit short .

This is my new go-to for takeout. The naan was freshly baked and the Malai Kofta was the best I've ever had. There's also a great little market attached.

Crazy long wait for a Tuesday night with an empty restaurant, for takeout. Don't expect to be greeted with friendly service. Smells of body odor as soon as you walk in the door

No buffet anymore but nice lunch special

I have been here a couple times and I thought the veg samosas and Tikka masala was good. The inside is small and dark and kind of awkward imo but I dined in again anyway. My garlic naan came out undercooked and cold with butter on it that wasn't melted. The waitress had finally checked on me and I told her about it and she offered to give me more but I was almost finished eating, I told her I didn't want it. When I went to pay I told the woman who was on the phone about the naan and she looked at me like I was crazy. She said "they make it and bring it right out." I don't plan on going back. Too bad since there aren't many Indian restaurants around. Disappointing.

Update: came back here hoping for the buffet, still closed. Came during lunch time and never was told the lunch specials, got goat curry and lamb korma as well as the appetizer sampler. The appetizers took forever to come out, barely 5 minutes before our food even though we ordered way in advance, food in general took a long time. Naan actually came out after our main dishes so we had to wait. Also quite pricy…. Do not recommend Mango lassi was not too sweet and a little tangy! Garlic naan had plenty of garlic, rice was light and delicious. Saag paneer medium was not toooo spicy but still had some kick and rich flavor with the lamb! Love this place and their little grocery store right next door.

One of my favorite restaurants! This is the second time I got the lunch platter because I love the variety. The food is amazing and the staff are all super nice. If you pick restaurants hoping for an instagrammable experience, this one's not for you! If you want to eat some delicious food though in a quiet atmosphere, I highly recommend this place.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Charleston, South Carolina. It offers alot of vegetarian ans non vegetarian options. Although they don't offer lunch buffet, their thali is very good and filling. All the food is freshly prepared and hence take a while to be served. Food quantity is very good for the price. Staff is very courteous. If you love Indian food, you must try this place.

Don't even read the other reviews, those people do not know about Indian food. You go to Bombay Bazaar for the food not the ambient or how the place looks. The place is cozy and the staff is amazing. The Naan is excellent! Everything well seasoned and a lot of flavor. Definitely should have better rating.

We stopped here for lunch while traveling. We order lunch thali , non veg thali, samosa chat, vegetable biryani and poori. We waited for 20 mins after ordering and Ambience definitely needs to be improved. Thali’s were average taste. Vegetable biryani was good.
