We had the most amazing meal tonight at Bona Italian! I’ve dined there many times and tonight was nothing short of outstanding! We started with the Burrata, the texture and cold temperature were perfection on a hot summer evening. Caesar salads are up next and were delicious. Main courses of Chicken Parmesan and Fazzoetti were so good, Lemon cake for dessert. Can’t wait to go back. Service from Matthew was excellent! Get back into Bona this summer and beat the season crowds. Tens across the board!

We have lived in Wilton for a little over a year now and every time we walk in the host makes us feel as if we are an inconvenience because we don’t have a reservation, their website doesn’t offer reservations online only by phone. Booking by phone sometimes is not always available because they don’t answer the phone or return your call. So perhaps update your website to book online or use OpenTable . The atmosphere is decent, it’s clean but you can tell they need to add some love to the place . Our food was good. I’ll put it that way . Our server was very kind and quick . It’s one of those places where we can go a couple times a year when we have no other options close by. Not terrible but not great .

I ordered take-out. Garlic bread is delicious! The bolognese was pretty good but I wasn’t feeling the sauce so much. I think the cream in sauce was throwing it off for me. Next time I’ll try the meat sauce instead. Great customer service!

This is an Italian Restaurant and should be known for the quality of their pasta dishes. This is now the second time I ordered a "create your own pasta dish". This time it was pasta with the meat sauce. Typically a meat sauce is created by the meat cooking for an extended period of time so that the flavors blend together. This pasta dish tasted like they just added some cooked ground meat to the sauce before they served it to me. While eating I clearly could taste ground meat that the "chef" just added to the tomato sauce. On a previous visit I had a similar experience with their bolognese sauce. It was so overpowering with cheese that I could not even eat it and they prepared another dish for me. Historically the other dishes I've tried have been very good--chicken piccata, balsamic chicken, grilled salmon and lasagna. Also the wait staff and the management are very customer service oriented. I do hope that they focus on improving their preparation of their pasta dishes.

We were 7 people and had a great time. The service was outstanding and the place was clean and bright and well organized. We also liked the new addition for the street seating area. My Chicken francaise had a very soupy sauce and I asked the waiter to drain it, cause it was very watery and not as expected. Thats why the 4 * for the food. Regardless, we will be back.

Have been coming to FLL for years and FINALLY tried this place. A+ from host to server to food to value for your $. Will be a regular stop for us when here moving forward.

I ordered veal marsala. Was a little taken back because it had onions in it and no marsala wine. Even though it was good it was not veal marsala.

It was my first time at a Bona Italian restaurant on Saturday night. We arrived at 8 PM, the host asked if we had reservations and we didn't. The restaurant seemed to be full and they offered us to sit in the lounge with a high table. It was ok at the beginning, however, the AC vent supply was right above the table blowing the air strongly. Made us feel colder and the food was cold fast! We ordered Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala and Branzino. We all agreed that the foods were delicious, except Chicken Marsala. The chicken was too tough! The garlic rolls we expect to receive before our salad appetizer, arrived right before our meal. The server told us they have to make it. As the rolls arrived, they were not warm. As we sat in the lounge the atmosphere felt wrong for a sit in dinner evening. There were a few patrons as we arrived, however it was empty very soon. There were none came to the lounge to drink. If I were the manager, I would turn the lounge with regular height dining table and have a server dedicated to it. It looks like they have live music in the lounge on Thu night, not sure what kind of music they have. It sounds like something I need to see and experience how good they are. As we walked out, the dining room was busy, they seemed like a popular place.

This is my favorite Italian place to eat in all of Fort Lauderdale! I ordered a half salt Margarita and our wonderful server Ilde (sp?) brought us out Garlic Knots, absolutely delicious! We started out with the Bruschetta and a cup of soup and salad. We ordered Lobster Ravioli with zoodles and Chicken Cyriac with angel hair pasta instead of penne (where has this been all my life?) I've eaten here several times and all the food is amazing! I've never had any desserts because I'm too full by the time we leave. They look very good and next time I will get one to go, maybe that Chocolate Mousse. It looks very light would be a good choice. The staff are always very kind and treat you very well!! 5 stars are not enough!

Excellent food. Good service. Owners visibly present and ensure a good experience. We walked in from the rain, with a party of 7. They seated us in about 10 minutes. Our waiter was a delight. The Beet Caprese Salad is an excellent creation & my personal favorite!

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time today and will definitely be returning! Mark, the owner, explained their plant based options to us. We had the vegan calamari, bruschetta, pizza and pasta with some vegetables and it was all amazing! The staff is super nice too! On Mondays the restaurant donates to a non profit! March 2024 update : second time here and love everything about this place!! Can't wait to return!

Great service in a nice atmosphere. They have great veggie meat options for substitution. The rice and cheese balls, chicken parmesan, baked ziti and veggie bolognese were great. Always a good meal.

This is a tasty and classic-Italian venue in a great and convenient location along the main drag of Wilton Manors. What made this location stand out to me was the impeccable service and attention from the staff. From the moment we walked in the door, I felt valued and seen as a customer every step of the way. Waiters were knowledge about the menus and made suggestions on pairings based on my group’s individual likes and preferences. The food was high quality and they used fresh ingredients with bold flavors that will leave you feeling adequately full and satisfied after your meal.

Excellent service,the staff was very friendly, drinks and cocktails were interesting. place was packed so I am sure it is a local favorite. My only quibble is the pasta was nowhere near "al dente"...was baby food soft. and the veal saltimbocca had no hint of a fresh sage leaf and missing much sage flavor. Swordfish dish was excellent. And kudos for such a varied menu. Will try it again and ask for less cooked rigatoni.

This was my First time eating at Bona Italian Restaurant and if I was able to give 10 Stars, I would. I ate there Saturday evening and every single Staff Member was extremely friendly. A friend and I showed up around 5:30 pm without reservations but, the Gentleman at the Front was extremely kind and gave us a table in the far back. We were greeted with smiles and kindness. Once seated, our Excellent waiter offered drinks and water. One thing I thought was very cool was the fact that they use "Pasta as Straws." I thought that that was so cool and different. We were brought Garlic Knots, which were out of this world 🌎. If I wasn't on a date, I would have had 2 but, I needed to behave. I ordered Chicken Marsala and my friend ordered pasta with meatballs. As we were waiting for our food, the owners came around several times to ask if we needed anything, if everything was to our liking and etc. Our waiter was great, the Food was Fantastic and I just loved and enjoyed the atmosphere. They make you feel comfortable, inviting and very friendly. If you are in Wilton Manor, Ft. Lauderdale or, just looking for Great Italian Food, Bona Italian Restaurant is the place to go. My friends wanted to take me out to celebrate my birthday, and this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. The food was excellent and the service was five star!

Our waiter was Rocco, he was super attentive... we had the veggie pizza with vegan mozzarella and I have to say it is the first time that a pizza doesn't feel like street food at all, on the contrary it felt like a high class signature dish in the shape of a pie. We also had the tiramisu and it was the literal cherry on top.

What a great night with friends and the food, service, and atmosphere was amazing too. I would recommend it to others for sure.

Went on Thursday night. Service is great but no need to interrupt table conversation every 5 min or so. I understand the US is different from Europe in terms of customer needs. All servers are GREAT, don't take me wrong, please. When a customer raises the chin above the glass and looks like his/her lost his keys (LOL), then is the timing for stopping by at the table (an old italian trick). I know it is hard and nobody teaches that or even has the obligation to, but it is the smallest and finest things and delicacies that will make the place from 4.99 stars to 5 stars. I appreciated the efforts of making this place already a great good to go. I don't recommend it for a single person, it could be intimidating, but this is not the restaurant's fault. :)

Reliable, consistently excellent,Bona should be in your top 3 Italian restaurants for the tri-county area. Men is relatively simple with all of the usual choices for pasta, parmigiana and such. The difference is in the quality of ingredients, freshly prepared everything, there own flavor profiles and seasoning blends. These plates feel like they nourish your soul, like your six and mom is serving you hot spaghetti on a cold winter night. Its deeply satisfying to be served a dish cooked properly, served by a polite waitress that knee how to be friendly, prompt and most of all NON-INTRUSIVE ! Our server gave really proper attention, she was attentive but didn’t ask extended questions or go off on some long story about her aunties dog needing a kidney or her car breaking down, she also didn’t audition to be our new best friend, some people might find simple service to be boring, done well as it is at Bona it is a genuinely pleasant refreshing experience. I have eaten here over 20 time in 5 years. I have never had a bad meal. Today Thursday feb 16 2023, our server was Madea, she was absolutely fantastic. Very well knowledgeable about the wines and sat down and explained the difference. The branzino, pick your own pasta(with shrimp) and the veal saltimbocca was amazing. I’ve had the veal parm here too and it is to die for. The atmosphere was amazing and the live band was killer. 5-5. Unfortunately we liked this restaurant but the Last time we were there they increased the price. I understand becasue of the inflation but the quality of the food was really poor. The owner always is on top of everything. I hope he will ready this post and improve the quality of the food. We love it a lot in the past. Great experience tonight at BONA. Started with the beet caprese salad and a glass of italian red wine. They have a great selection of italian wines, from all over the country to choose from.
