Fried chicken obviously is good, but with lack of care and service it sucks. This location does not pay attention to customers and also was stingy about basic needs (napkins, fork, plate). Do not dine in here. Also got 30 pc wings and only got 27 pieces. It is expensive so that is not okay. Honestly would not come back here again even though its pretty good.

This is kind of a ghetto Bonchon. The bathroom is dirty, there is no table service, the seats feel cheap and uncomfortable. The ceiling tiles are broken and dirty.

Amazing food, server staff was amazing and very good at recommending options. If youve never tried their food id give it a test! (If your okay with the jump in prices like most places of course.)

This places disgusting, floor was very sticky and no A/C waitresses don't even come to the table anymore cuz they so-called change their dynamic avoid this place and go to another bonchon

Update 8/26/24: I learned today that BonChon no longer has any lunch combo meals. Guess what I wanted for lunch today? (Bring back the lunch specials, just like before, and you can have your old review back.) Original review: "I'm thankful to the person that recommended this place to me; it's my new fave! They use to serve the customers, but now we order at the counter and wait. Use to have kpop music videos playing but now you don't know what you will be watching.

My family has been a fan of Bonchon ever since we lived near the one in Rockville, but this one in Germantown seems to have smaller strips for the same price and the floor is always so slippery that I nearly fall over every time I go in to pick up food. While I love the fried chicken I just don't think I'll be going to this location anymore unless it's through the drive thru.

***DO NOT MAKE YOUR ORDER A MEAL FOR $5.49 - THEY OFFER FRIES AND A DRINK BUT THEY WILL LITERALLY GIVE YOU LIKE 20 FRIES!!*** Save your money and buy the full size fries for $7 instead of the $5.49. They will give you AN ENTIRE TUB of them instead of just a few. I just paid $25 for chicken and fries and feel like I got pretty badly ripped off bc all my 4yr old son wanted was fries and even he can eat all of these himself. The staff is nice & nothing wrong with them. But they should really make people aware that the portion is different when you get the deal. That literally makes it not a deal! Also, when you buy chicken, fries aren't even an OPTION as a side. You HAVE to buy them separately. That $5.49 deal is nothing but an extra way to squeeze the customer out of a few bucks after they already chose to come support your business and buy overpriced chicken! Lol. The owner needs to not be so greedy. The lady who answered the phone told me it's just what they're told to do so that tells me it's the owner saying "skimp them" on purpose. Curious to see what the owner has for a response to this review because there really just isn't any sort of response that justifies selling $0.10 worth of potatoes for 6 extra dollars knowing damn well the customer is expecting a normal amount :/

The chicken absolutely sucked. Only good thing about it was the crunch, they barely put any sauce on there. But the wait time was fine, and so was the service! Chicken needs to be cooked thoroughly and seasoned, too bad it was none of that.

I love bonchon and their food, and I usually don't have issues with this location, aside from small variations in quality. However, I attempted to order again about a week ago, about an hour before they closed at 10pm on a friday night, which seemed perfectly reasonable to me. Come to find out after I had driven to the store that my order had been cancelled, and that their "kitchen was closed". On a friday night! I hope it was for a good reason, but I think I'll stick to the other locations from now on.

Stop closing the kitchen at 9, especially on weekends, or update the closing time online as to not mislead people.

This is the worst store. No one ever at the counter. Blasting music. Food always takes 25 minutes. This store needs a major staff overhaul. And when someone does come out from hiding in kitchen, they are miserable. Just shut the store down

This restaraunt has a lot of potential because the food is delicious but lacks timely manner to get food out on time. 1. Ordered Soy Garlic spicy half and half Boneless wings which wasn't boneless. Husband did appreciate the wings but said he wouldent come back due to the slow service. Ordered Tacos which were amazing very filling. 2. People were waiting long time for their food which was annoying and could deter customers to come back as they dont want to wait long. It looked like they were short staffed. It's A Sunday it shouldent be short staffed. 3. If Service Was efficient Definetly would be 5 stars.

This is not what should be representing Korean food. The chicken mediocre the ddukbokki was salty af. Save your money.

I just had dinner at Bonchon Germantown and it was amazing. The Asian fusion flavors were unlike anything I've tasted before, and the Korean fried chicken was incredibly crispy and flavorful. The atmosphere was vibrant and the service was top-notch. I can't wait to go back!

Went there today during my rest period. There was not one person in the place. I asked for the bulgogi house fried rice. The place has a musty smell to it and it was not to clean. The price was $16.95. What a disappointment. The rice portion was very small, the beef was non existant, only speckles of it through out and the meal was ❄️ cold! It seems that they used leftover white rice to make my meal and it came from the refrigerator. It is shameful to do so and charge so much money for it. Then I saw an employee and mentioned to him that my meal was cold and he just shrugged his shoulders! So I left about half of the little bit of cold food given to me and left to eat somewhere else I will never visit Bon Chon again! However I was concerned that they may take my leftovers and feed them to some else!.

We were one of three people dining in on a Friday night, pretty empty. The food was delicious though, really attentive service.

I don't know what happened but this place really fell off hard. Not what it used to be. Go to Chicken Pocha nearby instead, it's much better.

I ordered their strips which I loved for years. Unfortunately, they changed the supplier for their strips and they are terrible. Sauces are still great but the one thing I loved on the menu is not the same so I am done with Bon-Chon. You had a good run

Their chickens are good. However, at this location, you’ll always have to expect delay for your orders. This time, because I have previous experiences, I ordered 1 hour ago ahead of the pickup time. Guess what, I would still have to wait in the parking lot for 20 minutes after the set time. In other words, expect your takeout order to be prepared using 1 hour and 30 minutes. ———————— Okay, so I requested no scallions on japchae and steamed rice for bibimbap. This experience tells me that it took the staff longer time to make my customization order wrong. Please explain what’s the point of ordering online using your preferred bonchon ordering website?

When I arrived and walked in to place an order there was no one to greet customers or even check in with. I Waited 5 mins near the register and no one came out of the back where I heard them talking. For a Tuesday night I can’t imagine it being that busy. I ended up just walking out. Won’t be coming back to this location. Rockville and Kentlands Bon Chon have way better customer service.

I really liked bonchon Chicken before, but I think they changed ingredients. This time was terrible,not crisp at all, and it was not fresh. I am not going to order again.

Rude service at drive thru. The guy wouldn’t give us a sauce on the side for some reason. I pay for the meal and then immediately after he tells “oh by the way, it’s going to take 30 minutes”. We got understandably frustrated and he didn’t react at all. It felt very manipulative as he only told us after it was too late to go somewhere else. The whole experience was bizarre and just a fair warning to anyone going there to ask helps long it will take prior to ordering.

We went for dinner and wanted to eat in the restaurant (not take-out). We had to ring a bell on the counter because no one was around. A nice young man came out and asked us if we had a pickup order. We said no, but that we wanted to eat there. He seemed surprised. He said for us to have a seat anywhere and someone would be out to take our order. We sat down and waited for nearly 10-15 minutes and no one even came out of the kitchen to greet us. WE WALKED OUT. Obviously, this place doesn't want customers in their restaurant....they only want "to-go" orders. All 4-5 bar beer taps were all closed and/or not working. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED. This place used to be good. I guess they will only stay in business for to-go orders. We loved their wings & drums, BUT WILL NOT BE BACK. We found another restaurant in Germantown that has great Korean wings and will go there.

First off I was a manger here at this location I’m a pregnant woman and they were trying to make me work 2-3 doubles a week knowing pregnant woman can not stand that long I was let go because they are all racist it’s all Spanish workers there and they play favoritism really bad.. they don’t use gloves to cook their food they touch peoples food with no gloves. I slipped 3 times here and had on non slip shoes how is that safe . The hot box for the chicken is broken, the freezer don’t keep things frozen, the sink doesn’t get hot so how was they washing their hands unless it was like me and went to the restroom. They wait 5-10 mins to cook your food so the wait time for people is extra long and they don’t care . These are some pointers you should think about before eating here at this location. Oh and they are now starting to temp food because a lady got super sick from raw chicken and his is my witness. They have terrible service before I got there they wouldn’t check on their tables nothing u have to tell the servers to check on their tables and it’s not a good look no one stays up front unless it’s the other black assistant manger who they also treat as if he is not a good worker I was told before getting hired he was a terrible worker and he doesn’t do he’s job he does better than any worker there and it shows I’m just not going to hold my tongue as he does wrong is wrong right is right hope this helps you all in the future

This place has the worst customer service!!! Owner should fire everyone working Friday night shift. Wait for 20 minutes for our order and nothing was shown! Asked the staff to check for the status of my order; he angrily threw down his phone and stormed into the kitchen. I was NOT ready to spend money on people that are just rude!!!! I don’t like Third World service! At this store, that is all they have!!!! Eat somewhere else!!!!

The rice was $10, boneless chicken wing (garlic spicy) was $5, but they also charge for the drinks and the sauce for total of $30. Who can explain this to me clearly? ARE YOU READY TO BE RIP OFF?! The whole place was freezing cold. Although there were just 4 customers, the food took forever, probably at least 30 minutes. Our Bipimbap arrived barely lukewarm, it was practically cold. The chicken wings came earlier and were good.

This dine-in restaurant has lost their way. The table service was abysmal. Food arrived luke-warm with no utensils or napkins. The server said he would bring these right away. After ten minutes I went to the carry-out counter and asked again. He said "Oh yeah, let me get that for you." It took several more minutes. Food was cold by then. Same issue with paying the bill. Consider this place "carry-out" only and plan to reheat your food when getting it home. Be careful not to slip on the slimy floor! There is a black trail of shoe wiping on the sidewalk at the entrance.

All I got was a bowl of chicken fried rice and a order of fries. Found out when I got home that the rice was less than a half a bowl. The fries didn’t make it home but it was not a lot at all… So much for spending $36 on dinner

Drove 1hr to go here! Kids wanted bonchon so we said okay. Highly disappointed! Place was dirty, rang the bell for the cashiers, and what does she do come out with a bowl of fruit loops with her mouth full! Then tells me to hold on! Are you kidding me! Worst customer service. Let's not forget they forgot my coleslaw in the order, maybe that's why they charged me only for 2 of my spicy mayo. Will NEVER come back to this location again. You guys need to change the time you close. It says closing at 10 pm on Saturday but I got there at 9:20pm, the doors were open but the guys told me they were closed. Atleast change the time so that we don't get to drive there. I love the place by the way but that time mix up is disappointing.

We left Bonchon Germantown very disappointed with our visit. The sad part of this is that the food was great and as delicious as we remembered. It's the service that was lacking and it really impacted our entire experience there. Our server appeared to be the only one who was working the front of the house. He took our order (seasoned fries, pot stickers, and fried chicken) and brought us our drinks in a reasonable amount of time. Not very long after, our dumplings and chicken arrived. We reminded him of our fries and he assured us it'd be out shortly. We enjoyed our dumplings and chicken in the meantime. Minutes and minutes go by and as we near the end of our meal without the fries. We decide to call the server over to ask him to cancel the fries. We intended to enjoy the fries with the rest of our meal - not at the end of it. He informed us it was already cooked, and already on the bill and offered to pack it for us to go. We reluctantly agreed to avoid further complications. When the packed up fries came out, they appeared shorter in quantity than the actual order of fries would've been. Probably because they were made to fit into the take out container but we didn't feel comfortable paying full price on a short order that came out after we finished our dinner. My husband asked to speak to the manager to explain the disappointment and to request the fries be taken off the bill. With some reluctance on the side of management and after realizing that we were mistakenly charged twice for the fries, they were eventually removed from the bill. We were extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. After realizing that although we only had one server running around to all the tables to care for the customers, there were probably 4 or 5 additional staff members in the kitchen including the manager who would periodically come out to their bar area for a drink. Other tables' orders were coming out late as well and we can't help but wonder why other team members couldn't step in to help deliver the food to the tables. I'm not sure where the hiccup was that night. We've never had a terrible experience at this location before but I certainly don't think that we'd be making a trip back here. I think our server did the best he could but I do think so many circumstances were out of his control. Hopefully they take the time to reevaluate their service practices and have more people helping to provide dine in customers with a good experience instead of hiding in the kitchen.

Ordered take out few days ago for pickup at 6pm. I placed the order at 3:30. I pick up my food at 5:05 and it’s cold and soggy. Clearly they made it as soon as i called it in, and they never bothered to remake it

There is nothing special about this place. Parking lot was so unkempt I thought is was permanently closed at first. I got the bibimbop with tofu. Very little flavor. No seasoning besides the sauce which was on the side. They do have a bit of a variety on options to eat though. They serve some alcohol if you want that too. Service was okay. Worst Bonchon Ive been to in my life. Ive been to several Bonchon in different states and countries. This is the one with the worst service. My kids love their soy garlic chicken tenders. I love the the sweet and crunchy wings. They come with a side of coleslaw or pickled radish both are great sides to the chicken. We came here because we were craving sushi and Google said you can get sushi here. There is no sushi. We decided to give it a try anyways and got chicken katsu and potstickers. I went there with parents for a casual lunch. But, we were so disappointed. It was very slightly rainy. The floor of the restaurant was very slippery. It was very hard to walk on it.
