The first time I ate at Bones the food was very good, this was in January 2024. The second time last month, I ordered again, I was not pleased with the food. But I thought it was just an off day . It happens. But last night I tried the hamburger and my daughter the cheeseburgers. They were awful! My daughter couldn't even eat hers! I am not sure if it was so much fillers to make the meat go further, or what. My daughter said she wasn't sure if it was even meat. It was not in a patty form. I don't think I will going back

I love this place and the food is amazing and the service is probably the best I have ever seen when you have staff members come sit down at your table and talk to you like they know you for a long time is simply heart warming

As a lifelong Utah resident, this southern barbecue restaurant was a real treat. The people were friendly and the food was amazing. The pulled pork sandwich was possibly the best I've ever had. This place is definitely worth the detour off the freeway.

Shrimp dinner on Friday and Saturday night is amazing!

Beef Brisket and Pull pork were good! Wasn’t too fond of the ribs, they had a nice season but no smoke ring! Sides were ok. 6.5 out of 10

Chicken was dry as hell and no flavor. Brisket had zero flavor but was exceptionally tender. Barbecue was edible, though they don't give you buns with it. Brunswick stew was basic as hell. Edible. Baked potato was not good. They also only give you butter. Ribs were god awful, zero flavor and you need wolf canines to rip it off the bone!!! Over hyped and over priced mediocre place. Whoever runs this place don't know what they are doing. You bring shame to the south calling this a BBQ joint. Zero flavors.

We came upon this place as we were headed to Dr Peterson's office as a new patient. The food , server, atmosphere was amazing. There was a 3.5% charge for using a card,so bring cash. Will visit again.

Southern style and friendly atmosphere is what I love about Boneyard Bar B Que. I arrived when they opened on Friday at 11am and it wasn’t long when the hungry crowd was coming in. Their bbq sandwich was a handful !!

I had the fish & shrimp special & was kind of expecting an average meal. Boy was I fooled. The food was well above what I expected. You just don't expect that type of food in a small town restaurant. Food was totally awesome. I will order it again. Great food good price. Thanks Boneyard

Coming from two Texans whose first day was in Georgia so yes now yall get to take the bad rep. We walk in and place a Togo order and it took 48 mins to get our food out. I asked the lady to put onions and pickles on it and she started at me confused saying “This isn’t Texas” don’t call it BBQ then lady! (Clearly it wasn’t) the meat was fatty and wasn’t even seasoned and the sandwiches come without BBQ sauce like what!??😂 Will never be back that’s for sure.

How serendipitous to have stumbled upon this place for lunch on the way to Hilton Head from ATL. I grew up in the south and now live in California and I always miss the BBQ. Excellent pulled pork and sides, super fast, friendly and attentive service (what I miss about Georgia)...four people fed for $40. You can't do better.

Now this is a must stop. Best brisket I’ve ever had and Brunswick stew is also fantastic. I met the owner very sweet lady she loves her country music. Everyone was sweet as they could be and I will stop every time I pass through.

Excellent customer service, great food and prepared fast, my only hang up is the small portion of food for the decent prices. My plate was very light that it didn't even feel like I had any food in it when I picked up my to go order... =(

We were disappointed in the food. Bbq was drowned in sauce. Couldn't tell you what the meat actually tasted like. Brunswick stew was very bland. But the service was very good

I'm not usually a fan of BBQ places because where I'm from, we don't get good BBQ. This place? Ridiculously delicious. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection and was very cost friendly! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and offered recommendations to suit what we were looking for. This will definitely be a repeated visit when we're in GA

Usually it's pretty good but they screw up on people's orders too much they give you fish instead of shrimp and for the price of the food it shouldn't be my job to check my order before I leave I've worked in restaurants before and it's never been up to the customer to check to make sure that they get the right food it's up to the workers

My family and I came from out of town for the nearby haunted house with little in town to pick from we chose this establishment! The food was amazing as well as the customer service. We live over an hour away and will be returning simply to eat here again!

My husband and I were returning to our home from the nearby town of Dublin, GA and actually found this delightful restaurant by accident. (We missed a turn.) Since, it was lunchtime and there were lots of cars, we decided to give it a try. Very glad we did. The staff was so friendly and attentive. I had the fried fish, which was very fresh and came with two sides. My husband had the barbeque plate and two sides. Everything was so good. Nowadays, a lot of restaurants want to charge more for some sides (think sweet potato fries, brunswick stew), but not here. If you are in the Soperton area, give them a try. You won't regret it.

We were driving down I-16 and took a 10 minute detour to Boneyard BBQ. Well worth the reroute. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Everyone tried something different. BBQ, brisket, loaded potatoes, fried okra, and then homemade banana pudding all delicious. Great BBQ.

Food and service was really good. I was surprised that they had a mustard style BBQ sauce. Definitely will return!

Going off our most recent visit, which was on Saturday, June 11, 2022, I'd have to say this: GREAT food, but not-so-great service. The waitress delivered our drinks and was kindly never seen again. I'm unsure if she went on break or left at the end of her shift, but we never saw her again. Another waitress (who was juggling the cash register as well) brought us our food. It seemed to take us a while to get refills on our drinks and we never got an offer for dessert. HOWEVER, the food was VERY good. Among the four of us, we had BBQ, baked potato, brisket, and a variety of sides. It was all cooked to smoky perfection! Perhaps we just picked the wrong day to go service-wise.

Catfish special was delicious! 😋 A little disappointed because I so wish they would serve the "hot mess" every weekend! It is fried potatoes with bbq on top. So delicious!

Update: We stopped at Boneyard BBQ on our way to Savanah... Great BBQ, sides, atmosphere (they've expanded their space) and fabulous prices! Stop in on your way "to or fro"...only 12 miles off I-16. Great local BBQ place with many more choices. Dine-in or carry-out. Friendly staff. Good prices. What more could you ask for!

I'm not a fan of fried catfish actually I'm not a fan of catfish really. But for a barbecue place that serves fish and shrimp on Friday and Saturday I got to tell you they made me a fan of fried catfish. And I'm feel like they're a little heavy-handed on the salt but I don't put any salt in my food cooking or eating so maybe I'm extra sensitive to it but from the green beans to the shrimp the fish there was salt everything except for the baked potato. But everything considered I will definitely be back. their prices are very reasonable. Better than their competitor that's in Vidalia. Plus they have mustard-based BBQ sauce here. Haven't tried any of the barbecue yet. But I'm looking forward to it. I believe it'll be just as good or better than the catfish.

Brisket sandwich is the best around, bbq sandwich is fine, our food was good and hot....but.. .we needed it to go and it took 45 minutes...it was just sandwiches and fries...def wont go again unless we have all kinds of time

We had brisket, baked beans, potato salad, brunswick stew and a fried pork chop. The food was really good. I didn't like the bbq sauce, too much vinegar for me and the brisket needed a little salt, otherwise a great meal...oh yeah there was also a corn bread flap jack. Very good! The owner and the young lady taking our order were both very friendly. We were just passing through headed home from Jekyll Island. Good quick stop.

My husband and I loved the food , atmosphere and staff here in this quaint town very near the interstate. The food was delicious! We tried and shared a few extra sides on their menu. Their okra was delicious and cooked to perfection. The bbq was tasty and well chopped. We also took a few bites of their mac n cheese, baked beans, crispy fries & potato salad. They had an old South Brunswick stew which we loved, that had potatoes, diced tomatoes and pork pieces in a terrific sauce which reminded me of my childhood when we processed the hogs and had a big family feast afterwards. The decor in this place was so cute. So many unique wallhangings, statues and figurines everywhere. It felt so "homey". We SAVED this place in our favorites list. Its also close/easy to get to and from it while you are traveling on I-16.

The food is excellent!! The staff is friendly and will stop and chat while refilling your glass and actually talk to your children. The prices are good and plenty of seating. We will be going back!!

The prices are good and the food is well made to how you want it. You won’t find cooking like this much anywhere else. They have a great selection of country cooking for you to chose from. The staff makes sure your food is fresh and they check up on you regularly to make sure. 10/10 would come back again.

I like the food at Boneyard BBQ so much that I moved here! Well, I may be embellishing that a bit, but the food is really good, and I do live here now. I posted a picture of the double bacon cheeseburger that I ordered tonight. It's the third one I've had in as many weeks, and every time I eat one, it's melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I've had many things from their menu over the years and they've all been delicious. If you're traveling on I-16 between Macon and Savannah, take a quick detour at exit 67 and head south about seven miles to beautiful downtown Soperton and you'll find the Boneyard BBQ ready to feed you and yours. "Bone appetit."

Very Clean! Great pulled pork sandwiches! We found this place while driving through I-16 on our way to FL. Great find! Ate across the street at the little park and the owner came out to ask how we enjoyed our food. Really above and beyond service. Thanks again!

One of the best hidden bbq gems around. Small hometown bbq restaurant cooked with love and soul I'd recommend them all day hands down. I drive 35 minutes to get this melt in your mouth bbq and have talked with people inside who would drive over an hour once every week just to get a taste of this delicious food. Keep up the great work guys, Soperton is proud to have you!
