Hole in the wall place with a taste of Turkey. Their rice is really fluffy and amazing. We eat a lot of rice. The waiters were all amazing and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice. I ended up ordering the falafel and it was crunchy and delicious and had a nice warm filling.

Absolutely amazing experience at Bosphorus Restaurant! The food here is very delicious, with every dish bursting with authentic Turkish flavors. The staff are incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. We'll definitely be coming back!

I had takeout. Food is very good! I had the grilled salmon, california hummus and the Shepard salad. The salmon was a very large piece accompanied with rice and salad, my only complaint is that the salad didn’t come with dressing so I just added my own. The california hummus was awesome! The shepherd salad was very fresh and the dressing was great, very light and refreshing yet tons of flavor.

All the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Our service was friendly and helpful, including the preparation of off-menu items. Cozy little place, but comfortable.

HAD to review this restaurant! First time I've ever been moved to do this! Food was amazing! To "play it safe," I ordered a chicken sandwich and a chopped salad - sounds kinda "oh well," but I ate ALL of it! Another first! Everyone in our group of 9 was awed at the freshness and quality of everything we had. And what a terrific server - Serap - took her time with us and explained everything. Super service! This place is fabulous. Will definitely be going back here!!

Great food. A smaller place so don't just plan on waltzing in the door and getting a table. As good as any restaurant I've been to in Turkey.

Delicious Turkish food! You can tell everything is made to order and so fresh. We loved the döner gyro and Lamb shish kebab, hummus, babaganoush, shepherd salad and lentil soup. Lunch special was an amazing deal too. Will come back!!

Incredibly delicious and authentic Turkish food! The tea and coffee were great starters. Got the lamb Adana platter for lunch- one of the most flavorful meals. Platter for lunch for quite filling! Includes a cold app, soup/or salad and meal. Service was friendly, great location. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Great small, cozy and local restaurant! Not many tables, but very clean and neat. You feel almost like on Europe. Menu is straight forward and had many enticing items. Food is tasty and fresh! Homemade as they claim! It was late in a weekday, so the place was not full. I’m sure you better reserve it for busier nights. I would definitely return!

What a wonderful surprise luncheon with my husband! We've been to the Bosphorus Restaurant before and loved our experience. So much so that I kept their address in my phone! This visit was no different! The ambiance, the food, and the friendly service all combine to make a special delight! I especially love the spiced fried liver that we chose as a meze...an appetizer. You can not tell it's liver. It is a delicacy that dances in your mouth and makes you want more. Husband had the Doner Lunch platter, served with rice and a salad. I had the Adana Lunch platter. We were both pleased with our meals. We shared a dessert, the traditional Baklava, which had 4 sweet pieces made to share! We left with full bellies! The waitstaff was most accommodating and often checked on our wellbeing. This Gem of an Eatery seems almost hidden in its location, but do take the time to find and enjoy their offerings! I noticed they also had take-out service. The Bosphorus is perfect for a family gathering, a romantic occasion or just to have a good Halal meal. My only regret is that I wished we lived closer! Five Stars all the way.

I love this restaurant. Foods are so delicious and waitresses are so friendly. I highly recommend this place especially if you have an American friends and would you like to treat them with Turkish cuisine. I will visit again soon.

Found this place by googling "lentil soup near me" on a cold and dreary day. Bosphorus was the first result and did not disappoint. Likely the best lentil soup I have ever had. I have been back since, the food is great and the service is warm and friendly. The atmosphere is also very cozy. Great local place!

Small restaurant but delicious food… I have read the reviews of this restaurant and wanted to try this. What could be better than my birthday to try? It was my b’ day dinner with my lovely wife. We were coming back from seaside heights and called to reserve the table. They said you don’t need it, you ll get the table upon arrival. Closing time was 9 Pm and we reached by 8:15 PM. I live in the same neighborhood from last 2 years but never perceived this restaurant. Glad we come to know about this. Its small restaurant but 35+ people can dine together. We got the table and settled in. There was only one server who was taking care of all 4-5 occupied tables. We ordered special Adana kabab and Lamb chops. Lamb chops were charcoal grilled and aroma of charcoal increased its taste. It was great and so was Adana kabab. Mutton kababs very well marinated and comes with buttery flavor bread and rice. We enjoyed our dinner thoroughly. Recommended. Update (14-Apr-2023) My favorite Mediterranean restaurant. It was a special day, and I brought my friend. Got the table, settled, and ordered the below items Baba ghanoush: this time instead of hummus, went with baba ghanoush. A mix of eggplant, Yogurt – comes with Pita pieces of bread – great, 4.5/5 Garlic Butter Shrimp: so recently I had this item in one of the Argentinian restaurants, there they just serve 6-7 shrimp sauteed in butter and spinach – that’s it. Here in Bosphorus – it’s small shrimp, full of spices and salad at the side. sumptuous And then our favorites. Adana kebab And chicken Adana Comes with rice and salad. Would recommend, start eating as soon it lands on your table. It tastes great when it’s hot. It’s on skewers, properly cooked with spices, it’s juicy, melting in the mouth– it’s too good. Service was good, lovely, cute restaurant, staffs are very friendly and will answer all of your questions patiently. Lovely meal. 4.5/5

This Bosphorus is much smaller than the other restaurant of the same name. This place is a small cozy turkish place with good food presentations.

Never disappointed...excellent, fresh food, can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Service is also great. Bosphorus is our go to on busy weekdays and even on weekends we end up ordering from there.

If you're looking for authentic Turkish food then this is your place. Amazing every time!

Excellent food and excellent service.

Food is good w.r.t taste, but takes time to deliver order. We ordered chicken adana with butter drink and it comes as a package called lunch plater, the quantity is huge for a single person and they have other option called lunch special, which comes with lunch plater plus one sauce and soda, that's going to be super huge. Small restaurant but decent. Super food quality, and little expensive, but it's worth for the quality and quantity of the food. My suggestion is order first and go so you will save sometime.

A wonderful, off-the-beaten-path experience. We sampled a variety of traditional Turkish fare. The baba ghanoush and Sigara borek starters were fine - obviously freshly prepared, and the borek, which can be soggy and oily in the wrong hands, were crisp and light. The pita was not fresh baked, but was served warm and was good. The three entrees were all nicely prepared: chicken gyro platter was well seasoned (chunks of meat and not thin shaved slices), and the Adana kebab was meaty, dense and crisp, with a dominant taste of good lamb. Both platters came with a generous helping of orzo rice pilaf, and a garnish of grilled eggplant, tomato, and bell pepper. But the star of the show was the manti- these tiny, square-folded beef-filled ravioli were served with an amazingly rich and complex sauce of tomato, dill, and mint, and topped with yogurt. I would come Back to NJ just for these delicious dumplings. The other highlight was our hostess, who was quiet, charming, polite, and friendly. We felt like we were guests in her own home. Highly recommended! (Note: there is a surcharge for credit cards, or if you prefer, a discount for paying cash)

We have been living in the area for a long time, but only recently discovered this little local gem! Have been here twice and tried gyro, fish, lamb dish and everything is delicious! Love the cold dish and desserts! Do not miss the almond pudding and kunefe. Both are wonderful!

This nice clean restaurant offers delicious Mediterranean food, hosts are friendly and chefs are excellent! We come here often and are happy with our meals every time!

We visited this little, cozy restaurant last week with my friends. We ordered shepherd’s salad, which was outstanding-vey crispy and the amount of the salt, vinegar and all the other ingredients were perfectly balanced. We ordered mixed appetizers and they were really tasty, hummus and babaganoush were to die for. The fried calf’s liver was the best I had in many years. A friend of mine who is vegetarian ordered a plate of falafel and he liked it so much that ordered the second one. He said the sauce was amazing! We also had the mixed grill and everything tasted really well. The meatballs (kofteh) was a bit overcooked to my liking. When the waitress asked how everything was and when I did comment about meatballs, they were kind enough to cook a couple of pieces the way I liked. Overall, you can’t go wrong with this place. They have discounted price for cash customers. Keep up the good work.

Not a great experience for the price. The food is not fresh and the gyro and the kebabs were days old and was not authentic turkish food. It isn’t worth the price.

Just ordered from here( Delivery) my second time. First time was great, second time now and the food is really salty and lamb isn’t fresh, tomatoes burnt! Cmon guys what happened in the kitchen? I guess I’ll give you guys one more try and will update this review after. Update: The third time is the charm. Absolutely fantastic!! Thank you guys. You earned the 5 star review.

We have not been to Bosphirus since covid and we were not sure if they were still open but we were so excited to find out they are and it was great to be back. The food was just as delicious as before. Comes out hot, very fresh ingredients, lots of options, vegetarian and vegan as well. Love their home made humans, their lamb kabobs and rice is amazing and to top it off their baklava is totally off the charts and the best I've ever had. Be prepared to not be rushed, which we love. It is a BYOB and their Turkish coffee is delicious. Never ever had a bad meal, a must go to.

Iskender is one of my favorite Turkish dishes, which I've tried through out Toronto for the past 6yrs +. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Dried hard meat, small amount of pita bread at bottom, minimal butter tomato sauce, small slither size tiny chopped piece of pepper and tomato. Photo included does not do any justice to the burnt shaved dry uneatable meat. Friendly staff in front but the chef at back apparently does not care or tried to pull a fast one and serve crap. Do better please! If you can not serve a proper dish of Iskender, then you should not be working for this restaurant. Thank you

We ordered out from this place about a month ago. The food was really good, very fresh tasting. We went ahead and ordered again last week. We are happy to have a new place added to our takeout list. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Back again at Bosporus. Friday is our date night, looking forward to coming here. We bring our Raki, the Turkish alcohol drink, they have the best appetizers you can eat with Raki. Love their Liver, and cigaret borek, humus and eggplant salads. Lamb kebab so tasty. The irresistible desert is Kunefe, so delicious, can’t get enough of it.

I used to come here frequently, about 8 years ago. Stopped into this gem recently with my wife for a gyro. It took over an hour for a 2 gyros and 2 side salads. Not to mention we were sitting outside on a 90 degree day. The food was fine. Not as good as we remember.

Bosphorus was one of our go-to places for years, pre-pandemic -- and now, I'm surprised and happy to say, it's even better than before. Shepherd salad is very good, as always. Appetizers such as eggplant salad, stuffed grape leaves, and Sigara Borek are improved. Signature Turkish dishes like gyro kebabs, adana kebabs, and grilled whole bronzini are excellent -- the best we've had outside of Istanbul. The "Sultan's favorite" (a lamb dish with grilled chopped eggplant, mozzarella cheese, and sauteed vegetables) is also excellent. We prefer the inside seating, but the outdoor seating looks equally pleasant. Hightly recommended. BYOB.

Delightful flavorful food. I had the shish kebab with rice, pickled cabbage, and what I can only say is a lasagna-like stack of peeled veggies in balsamic. Wonderful! Only downside, had to sit outside. On the plus, had great entertainment from the apartment dweller’s public “tiff” across the street. Oh! How could I forget… the baklava 🤤 sooooo good.

I came with my family. Enjoyed the mixed grill. Nice family restaurant. Friday night was busy. Had to remove table early. No worries.

Small place hard to find can be easily missed, nice they have a large sign. Food as surprisingly great, combo dishes reasonably priced and delicious. Very good chicken and lamb

The meat platter was something else. It really hit the spot.

Everything was excellent. Looking forward to make a return visit.

One of my local favorites. Great customer service and the food is very authentic. We order from here at least 3 times a month and food is always fresh and delicious.

We ordered appetizers including fried liver, babagonush, zucchini salad, eggplant, Sheppard salad, my usual dish was Adana Special but this time I tried their new version of Beyti kebab - it was outstanding. Always something new in their menu, the server was very friendly and you could hear the smile behind the mask as she was being very attentive to our needs. Must get Kunkle, the hot finely shredded phylodough with melting cheese in the middle, a perfect end.
