Every time we went to Miami we always visit Boteco especially on Friday nights because they have live music. Food is amazing, service is awesome. We really enjoy everything. You’re gonna find a Brazilian atmosphere with great music and delicious food.

The place is great, but they should warn you that they will cover the card fee. Top + card fee makes the bill much more expensive

Very good and authentic Brazilian food. The A/C is not the best, but it makes you feel like you are really in Brazil. Prices are good, but mandatory 20% tip and 3% credit card fee, not cool

was blown away by great chimichurri and fat cap fully rendered. steak cane out way overdone. brought it up with server and was pretty much dismissed. cooks need a thermometer and a better light to see by i guess. also maybe stop serving thin steaks on a sizzling cast iron. need meat to be right temp when spending $40 on the entree

El Boteco is an authentic Brazilian space with delicious dishes. On Friday nights, there are Brazilian musicians playing samba and there is a lot of joy. An excellent day to go with friends.

Smoke and alcohol everywhere , dirty tables , really expensive , for single men's looking for single woman , not a good environment, hate it

Upon arrival we were taking aback by the $10 valet charge to park in a tiny parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. The valet park your car within just a few feet of the door where you can park it yourself and walk into the restaurant. We decided to park on the street for $4 at the meter. Upon entering the restaurant the decorations are charming and cozy almost like you're in Brazil itself. We were immediately greeted by a waitress who was courteous, attentive, and patient. The food came quickly and was presented attractively but that's about the only positive thing I can say about the food. I had the palomllia steak along with cheese bread and salad. For the price the portions were quite small. The steak itself was tender but thinner than what I'm used to getting in that dish with no hint of being seasoned. The cheese bread was bland. What made the experience worst was to constantly have to swat at flies to keep them from our food. The items we weren't eating we had to keep covered by a napkin to keep the flies out and this is not outside but inside the restaurant. Then there's a 20% tip that's automatically added to your bill. If you're not attentive you may add even more because when you're given the hand held device to pay it has options for a tip on it as well. There were only a few people eating at the time we were there in the evening but a lot of people were at the bar drinking and having a good time so perhaps this place is better for happy hours and drinks rather than food. Many of them seem to be regulars.

I did not mean to put one star, I mean to put zero. Even if I was able to put zero stars, that would be being generous. Me and my friend ordered the stroganoff off Uber eats, and if I’m being 100% honest, it’s genuinely in the running for the most disgusting food of all time. The rice smelled like black licorice mixed with cow feces. When I was eating the stroganoff I couldn’t tell if I was eating human feces from a person of the Indian race or just this pure garbage that they decided to feed me. The only thing that tasted normal was the avocado. Do not eat here.

One of the best Brazilian places in USA! Great authentic food! Should try their picanha 🥩 steak! And their Frango 🍗 a Passarinho! The drinks are even better! One of the best caipirinhas I ever tried! They also have live samba some nights, making you feel like you’re in Brazil 🇧🇷! If you’re in Miami, you should stop by!

Was there for the game, bad service and attitude, dirty back, and price crazy, no ice and not willing to accommodate or even separate bill! Or change option of drinks! Not sure you should go there!!

Walked in yesterday and was told to pick a spot to sit. Sat for 30-40min and they never attended me, we made eye contact and they were giving menus to other who just got there. I really wanted to try the place looked fun but unfortunately i wasnt even given a menu or glass of water

Disappointed, the feijoada used to be amazingly good and tasty, not anymore. Service below par, forget things and when you remind them after a long while you get a bit of attitude. Forget feijoada and go for picanha you might be better off. Not sure what happened, it used to be a great spot.

Pro: The all you can eat feijoada buffet over the weekend (1 to 6 pm) is a hit! Con: The Valet parking costs $7. Update as of July 6, 2024: Lowering my rating. Valet parking is 10$ now. They charge you 20% service charge even for the buffet. The food used to be better and more options. If you pay with the credit card, they charge you additional 3%. The caipirinha tasted strange, not like it used to. Will not come back.

It was far from being a delicious food for my taste! I only liked the Beans! The caipirinha, I didn’t understand if it was a lemon shake or a juice! Well, I didn't like it, but there are probably days when the kitchen is better!

Service ok. But I didn't like the food, the picanha wasn't tasty, it lacked salt. Strong garlic rice. The smell of the place wasn't good... it smelled of mold mixed with meat fat, horrible. The sound is very loud. Bad experience.

Pay attention to the menu, prices and the catch of 20% of the MANDATORY service charge!!!! Manager making fun of an employee during opening hours with the bar LOTED! Shameful, I felt for the employee. I won't be back, because the food isn't all that and they're too smart to charge! Continue like this, you will end Brazil's reference in Miami and your trade too!!

As a brazilian, I felt very very disappointed on the experience I had at Boteco. The place looks and feels very dirty, the table and chairs were sticky as if they haven’t seen a good cleaning in a few months. Staff team was nice, but no Portuguese speakers, which is OK, but would be nice to have some brazilians working as part of the staff. There was a man at the bar, looked like owner or manager smoking hookah while we were trying to eat and one of the servers was vaping all the time. Now on to the food… What a disappointment, it’s definitely missing the brazilian hand, no flavor, super super oily and not appealing to the eye. We ordered the Linguiça Acebolada, it had so much fat and so much oil, that we couldn’t even eat it.

Cheerful restaurant with Brazilian “ao vivo” music with a very happy and pleasant atmosphere, very tasty food, including dancing, good waiter service and a large majority of young people of Brazilian origin. Super reasonable prices around USD 50 - 55 per person including beer and wine. You pay an entrance fee of USD 10 per person to enter the venue with separate music and parking costs another USD 10. Food is great. However, very expensive. Menu to order online is also misleading. We've ate here many times before and remembered that one order of pastel came with 3 empanadas. Now one order only comes with 1 empanada...1 empanada for $7 is INSANE. I was shocked to find this new change since the picture online shows a basket of empanadas and also did not indicate that the price was for only 1 unit. The workers are very friendly but are not attentive. I placed the to-go order and came at the time my order would be ready by email notification. I notified a waitress that I was here for an order and she told me to wait a minute. I waited for 10 mins until I noticed a box by the DoorDash station so I asked her if that was my order and she said yes. If I hadn't noticed that box, I would have been waiting for an even longer time on something I ordered ahead and should have been ready by the time I got there. Very disappointed with this experience.

the restaurant is decent but when my friend I tried to go ...a very a rude valet guy who didn't speak any English started barking at us because we didn't know the parking situation had changed from last time we were there . He continued to mistreating us in the parking lot so , we left but ended having a great time at the Citadel (highly recommend it) .I live close by, I'll never go back or take my friends.

I had been craving feijoada for what felt like an eternity, so I finally decided to treat myself at this restaurant for the first time. However, the entire experience turned out to be a major letdown. The service was lackluster, and the food barely managed to meet the standard of mediocre. Despite my husband only ordering a small appetizer since he wasn't particularly hungry, they audaciously charged us for a FULL meal for him just because he gave him some of my food so he could try it for the first time. Outraged by this blatant overcharge, I demanded to speak to the manager, only to be met with the most disdainful attitude from what I can only describe as a rude woman if I can even call her that. Throughout our conversation, she showed no regard for my concerns and even threatened to review security footage to verify if my husband had indeed eaten anything. Incensed by her dismissive behavior, I found myself on the receiving end of her condescending tone and finger-wagging, as if I were a misbehaving child. The sheer audacity of her actions left me seething with anger, and I stormed out of the restaurant, leaving my husband to foot the bill. To add insult to injury, they had the gall to include a 20% service charge, despite the abysmal service provided by our waitress. It was a disgraceful experience from start to finish, leaving a sour taste in my mouth that not even the most delicious feijoada could wash away. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! MY RESPONSE: Your response is disappointing. I never once praised the food as 'delicious'. It was mediocre at best, and your inability to comprehend that is concerning. The rudeness of your staff member initiated the confrontation, to which I simply responded in kind. My husband's demeanor was one of annoyance, not embarrassment, as he attempted to diffuse the escalating situation caused by your staff's threat to review surveillance footage. Money is not the issue; it's about the fundamental principles of customer service, which your establishment clearly lacks. Trust me, your establishment won't see another dime from us, and my social media review reflects the truth of our experience. Your failure to address the behavior of your staff speaks volumes. We will gladly take our business elsewhere where customers are treated with respect. UPDATED AND FINAL RESPONSE: Your establishment's ludicrous policy is a testament to its incompetence and financial struggles. I've traveled extensively and have been to many restaurants and never encountered such absurdity. Your staff's inability to handle the situation professionally only reflects poorly on your management. My comment about the cost of my bag was to emphasize the principle, not money. It's clear that your priorities are misplaced. Rest assured, you couldn't pay me to set foot in your dumpster of a restaurant again. Goodbye!

I love Boteco. I’ve grown very fond of the owner, his brother, and the group of regular patrons whom, since my arrival, have greeted me heartily and welcomed me so warmly - I haven’t been this kindly accepted in a very long time. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. The people are interesting. The Brazilians whom you will see here are very lively, much like those of my own culture - so it feels like home. Friday, Saturday night you will hear live music and see people dancing and enjoying themselves. I love that. But it’s not just about Brazilians. The restaurant aims to be multicultural - one look up at the string of flags hanging from the ceiling of the patio and you will even see… An Iranian flag. I love that.

Sliders and fries were amazing filled me up!!!

Stop in this place to see how it was because I pass it everyday. It’s spacious inside and they have happy hour which is my favorite thing! I got shrimp and fries and it was quite filling. I recommend this place to come after work and chill!

Boteco is the best. I come here all the time. I always enjoy the live music on the weekends. And like that I can always grab the late night eats. Yuni makes the best strawberry 🍓 caipirinhas they are my favorite. Great spot to catch sports as well. I go here at least once or twice a month.

DO NOT COME!!! The service was ok. I love picanha due to its delicious taste. The picanha at this place is tasteless. It that wasn’t enough, they even charged me tip without my permission. As a customer, I decide to give you a tip or not - not the restaurant. It was just me, so there was no need to charge me a tip upfront. Moreover, I was forced to pay $10 for parking. I am sorry, but this is not an upscale restaurant that we have to pay $10 to park. This was a terrible experience for me and I won’t be coming back. Everything is expressed here is my opinion and my subjective perspective.

Rustic Brazilian restaurant/bar, second time we visit, we like the picanha beef they use. This time we were there for the X-Burger, nice thick burger, the garlic french fries add extra taste. We had shredded beef and codfish croquttes as appetizers...both YUMMY! I wish I was more daring and try the typical Brazilian food (next time). We went early on a Saturday evening and could tell it was going to get really busy and LOUD, as a band was setting up a few feet from us. Service was good, but servers tended to stand around talking to each other a lot, I hate when I have to call servers over. We had the 2 appetizers, 3 X-burger meals, 2 beers..total came to $92, including the 20% tip they automatically included. They have onsite $10 valet parking. Overall good experience.

Terrible! It's absurd to pay 20% tax included in the bill (when you question the amount they say it was in the footer of the menu, a VERY Brazilian way) the dish was a PF in Brazil... without beans and half of the dish French fries... .very oily. Parking costs 10 dollars separately, which is also a big deal. I don't recommend it for all possible reasons. Expensive, bad and they want to extort the customer. Shame on being a Brazilian restaurant, yes.

Maximum exploration, escape from this place. They put it at the bottom of the tiny menu that they charge 20% for service so no one can read it and when the bill arrives, the surprise comes. And they still charge a valet 10 dollars to park. I had lunch and dinner in countless places in Miami and none of them charged anywhere near that much for service. And the food was NOT great, we paid 17 dollars for a dish simpler than a Brazilian PF. In total it cost 70 dollars (350 reais) for 2 extremely simple dishes and a soft drink. I don't recommend it to anyone, run away.

The Brazilian band was awesome! Food is mostly fried and on par with pub food. Everyone is super friendly. It appears to be popular with Brazilians.

Service was great, our server spoke English, spanish, and Portuguese. We went a Friday so there was live music. They have buckets of beer 5 for $25, we got an appetizer which was amazing and the picaña steak which was also excellent. People were dancing and vibing to the band! Would most definitely recommend for an night out with great food and drinks

Excellent place...the Best place

Awesome vibe, great food, and exotic drinks. They even have a brand new pool table, live bands, and Texas Hold'em poker on Monday nights. Its also the best place to watch the game on their massive 88in flat screens.

My son is very sick, he ate a hamburger, the only thing he ate yesterday. He's about to be hospitalized due to so much dehydration from the spoiled meat. I don't recommend it. Bad hygiene

Amazing atmosphere, great food. Rude service. Had to sit at the bar since we didn’t have a reservation which was fine. It was difficult to get our bartenders YUNI C attention to order anything. Once we received the check it had a 3% card charge PLUS 20% gratuity already included. I requested it be removed but the bartender YUNI V said that it cannot be removed and decided to snatch my card out of my hand. This was incredibly rude and unprofessional. In Florida it is not mandatory to tip, i wanted to leave something but not this much as 20% was not earned whatsoever. Please retrain your front line bartenders this is unacceptable.

Fun atmosphere in the outside dining area. We showed up for a late lunch/early dinner. The waitress forgot half our order and that was delayed but other than that everything was great. Caiparinha was fabulous and strong. Lots of people were eating the buffet that was provided, we opted for the regular menu. 2 pastelles, 2 skewers, side salad and one appetizer, plus 4 drinks ran $100

Very good food excellent atmosphere quick service

Overall this place has a great atmosphere. The previous owner created an authentic Brazilian “Boteco” local bar aesthetic. That being said the new management/owners had their work laid out for them. Unfortunately things are not the same nor living up to my previous experiences there. The automatic $10 valet & 20% service charge is a bit of a turn off. I understand this is a way to mitigate costs but it’s kind of tacky. Especially when the service isn’t exactly exemplary. You can’t pretend to be a “Boteco” then charge as though you’re a Michelin 5 star restaurant. LOL Seriously the staff needs a little better training. Plus the live music although a nice touch can be a little loud & obnoxious. Maybe a DJ or an actual qualified singer can make the difference. Just a few observations from an off and on again customer who’s watched the different incarnations of this place. Take my constructive criticism with a grain of salt.

From Michigan & we went here for a couple drinks because it was close to where we were staying and we fell in love with the place! Great atmosphere. Staff was quick and friendly. The owner was there & he was so kind to us! He sat & chatted for awhile. Really made us feel welcomed! Will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Feijoada isn't the same, not worth the money you paid for buffet. Servers are excellent. Unfortunately nothing is the same as the past Boteco. A suggestion: buffet area should be lower and have more space between plates.

This place was so nice until we decided to spend new years there. The back speaker in patio outside is broken, sound system is TERRIBLE! Such an easy fix but yet no one took care of it! How come? I couldn’t hear any melody, just a vibration from broken speaker that drove me to the massive headache. We got home right after midnight bc it was not possible to stand this type of sounds. End up paying over 400$ for party that I wouldn’t stay for free. Our server just kept disappearing and we waited for appetizers 45 min … for the cheese bread.. Somebody should take care of sound system asap. It’s sad that management do not see such an important aspects of good venue because this place has potential. I’m sorry to write this but it’s true.

I've tried going here twice now, and both times I could not get anyone to help me or serve me. The second time, I went to the buffet. There were no plates, so I helped myself to a plate from the dining room. I loaded up my plate but then I couldn't find any utensils anywhere. At that point I had lost all patience so I left some money and just walked out. Don't waste your time. Also, fun fact: parking is $10 valet.

My picanha was decent, caipirinha felt water down, the chicken was too dry to even eat (prato da mae). The worst was customer service. I don't think they know what it means. When I asked why they charged me for the uneaten chicken they had to consult with the manager who then charged me for the fries and black beans the chicken came with for a grand discount of $3.00. I wonder if I were to ask for the chicken without sides if they'd charge me $3.00? Never going to find out.

I've visited Boteco twice. The first time was on a weekend, and we had the buffet as well as the burger. The buffet had some good items, but overall it was nothing special. The burger was extremely dry and flavorless. The second time, I ordered some skewers and was again disappointed with the quality of the food when compared with the cost.

The atmosphere is relaxed and cool, but the staff is also very welcoming.

Hands down the best bar in Miami. The pour is strong, and the food has that homemade feeling. Never disappointed, if you’re lucky enough to catch a soccer game here then you are in for a treat. Real fans that are always friendly and fun whether you’re with their team or not. You can never go wrong with the pichana entrees, the bolinho de carne seca are a great appetizer too! One of the few authentic Brazilian spots in Miami

Casual spot for some delicious Brazilian cuisine. Service was good and the atmosphere is unique. We tried the codfish ball (bolinho de bacalhau), the shrimp with onions (camarao acebolado), and the pork and bean stew (feijoada) buffet. They were all great, very tasty and well-seasoned. Yet, the feijoada was the star of the show - with a lot of options from the buffet that came with the feijoada offering an excellent weekend option for a very fair price.
