I went for th first time 2 weeks ago. I got 3 hot dogs with Sauerkraut, Red Onions and Ketchup. I went back a few days later and got 4 the same way. OMG!!!! Soooooo good. I love that they are grilled and not boiled. Will be back again.

This is the way a hot dog pace should be. Great food and great stories. These are the places that need to stay around. I didn't try everything, but I am pretty sure everything will be fantastic.

My great grandfather used to get these hot dogs over 80 years ago. They are my favorite hot dog to date.

Consistently, the best hot dogs in Hudson County. The guys are always congenial, service is fast. Atmosphere is what you would expect from a sidewalk emporium. Boulevard Drinks is a much-loved Jersey City institution for 1,000 reasons.

I go there for their hot dogs. The service is excellent and the hot dogs are great.

2 dogs and my puppy dog Liberty at this classic Jersey City Frank hole in the wall. Place is from the 30s and once sported one of the razziest Neon signs in signage history. For some reason taken down. That said, lotta charm and the dogs went down well. People who worked their also super chill dudes. Pineapple drink to wash it all down.

Almost skipped by Boulevard Drinks today because I’m annoyed they took away their beautiful neon sign and replaced with cheap plastic. 😡Then decided if I wanted to try their dog that today was the opportunity since I was in the neighborhood. Had one dog with chili onion sauce and a pineapple drink. I enjoyed but they got nothing on Rutt Hut.

I've ate hot dogs for years in the real gray papaya and loved them.i decided to try this place once and it was gross.3.75 for a plain hot dog was pricey and I'm not cheap when I asked for mustard the goofy nerdy looking guy said 1 dollar extra which was a stupid joke.i love Arab people but these guys looked like Egyptian crooks.you know when people are out there to get every dollar they can out of you.i wouldnt even try it if I were you.cheap quality hot dog do not try

What a great hot dog spot. Reminds me of Gray's Papaya and Papaya King in NYC. Just wanted to try it out and was pleasantly surprised. It's not in a nice area and parking is scarce, but it's worth the trip.

It is what it is. A beautiful hole in the wall that's a long time staple of jsq. If you want a dog this is your spot. Little pricey tho, but they're tasty

Easily one of the worst hot dog places that I’ve ever been to. Since I was a kid, I always wanted to try their hotdogs, and I never tried them because they’re overpriced and I was scared for them to taste generic. Today I decided to go there and give them a try and one hotdog cost 4 dollars which was insane but I said it should taste good so I got hotdogs and this is the presentation.they barley put chili and everything just looks a mess and the person that was doing it was so nervous like it was his first time.and one hot dog was burnt . I should’ve just left the hood there and ask for my money back because I just wasted $8 when I could’ve what somewhere else and had a full meal I could’ve had bette hot dogs from 7/11 for 3 quarters of the price

I love this place but today new guy behind the counter I tell him I don’t want no burned hotdog and the first thing he grabs it’s a burned dog then he grabs and undercooked one maybe trying to be funny it’s just the lack of keep turning the dogs if you keep them on there keep turning them so it wouldn’t burn in one side I don’t like this new guy he doesn’t have customer service at all the other guys are great but this guy definitely not the right guy to be serving people Killed my experience I still end up eating a burned dog because this guy doesn’t listen bring back the other 2 guys that been here forever and get rid of this young guy with the glasses please I will not be stopping by unless I see the other 2 guys that have always been here for the longest time

The best hot dogs in Jersey City! I’ve been going to hot dog restaurant all my life. I love their chili and cheese. The hot dogs are little pricier but it’s worth every penny. I normally get two hot dogs at front but their so I sometimes ask for a third hot dog. The homemade drinks are good too. I always get the grape flavor and fruit punch is good too. My one complaint about this restaurant I wish it took debit/ Credit Card.

In Jersey City there is only one spot to grab hot dogs and that's Boulevard Drinks, they have been around since 1937. The fresh off the grill dogs and chilli are the best. I always bring visitors to have the "best dogs" in New Jersey. Easy walk up window with a few sits inside, cash is preferred but I do believe they take other payment options.

Went here for the first time this week and have to say that they have the BEST hot dogs I have ever had. I am used to the Manhattan hot dog - basically a sausage on a roll with a line of mustard or ketchup down it. Here you have a range of toppings to choose from which makes a huge difference to the end result. I will be back:)

These are the best hot dogs around. Absolutely delicious. I recommend the hot dog with sauerkraut; drizzle some mustard on there and you are set! A plain hot dog is $3. One topping is $3.25. The piña colada drink is good, too.

You don't really see standalone shops that sell hot dogs other than the hot dog carts in central park. So coming across this no frills type of place that serves hot dogs and more hot dogs was personally a satisfying find. The menu isn't big and prices increase incrementally in a matrix depending on the type of sausage you order and the number of toppings you put on. I got a hot dog with the home made chili onion sauce, because you can't get that from the hot dog man in central park. The staff working the counter was super friendly and whipped up the hot dog really quickly (hot dogs were already cooked and being kept warm as expected). The hot dog sausage itself wasn't giant or super long, I'd call it a pretty average looking sausage. The bun itself was also pretty normal looking and tasting too. It wasn't stale and had the texture of a pretty standard bun that you'd get from one of those packs of six at the grocery store. What really sold this place to me was the chili onion sauce. If you really want to take your hot dog game to the next level, you'll really need to pair the hotdog with this sauce. The hints of chili mixed with the slightly sweet flavor dressed up what was an ordinary hotdog to be the A-list Hollywood star of all hotdogs. It looks like you can buy this sauce to go too! I am tempted to come back later this week just to buy this sauce that I can put on top of ordinary hotdogs that I'll make at home. Give this place a try for a pick me up, it won't disappoint!

I’ve been on a hot dog kick lately and recently found out about Boulevard Drinks, so my husband and I decided to drop in on a Saturday at around 11:30. The place is a hole in the wall. But it’s always the dingy looking places that have the best food. I’m not sure there were even any seats. We just stood next to the counter and ate, which you need to anyway because they’re meant to be eaten fresh. We ordered a cheese dog with sweet onions, and a spicy sausage with sweet onions. Each topping is 50 cents, so it can add up and you may end up paying $5 for a hot dog. But worth it for a once in a while treat. The hot dog was good but I liked the sausage a lot more. Both have a similar taste but the sausage is bigger and snappier. We ended up ordering another spicy sausage afterwards, but this time with chili. This one was pretty heavy so I’m glad we shared. Unpopular opinion, but I think a chili cheese dog would have been too much. Glad we got to check this place out!

We were in Jersey City and it is a must to have the best hot dogs in NJ. Jumped out of the car (parking impossible) and come back with a sack of assorted dogs. Chili, onions, mustard and relish to bring to our family visit.

The chili hot dog is amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to people who are looking for something quick to eat. The prices are very reasonable.

Great hotdogs, the spicy onions are just the best. I love it so much im there at least once a week. Across from journal square, so perfectly located and a good place to mingle randomly. Staff is fast with orders. Theres even a walk up window, excellent idea by the way.

Really good place!! If you're on the go or just not in the mood to cook, they sell the hot dogs, buns and chilli by the dozen! They are very delicious and I highly suggest stopping by. They have small stools for seating. Appox 7 stools. Everything is always fresh and made right then

Delicious dog with a unique chili I have never seen before, glistening with onions and you can see red pepper flakes in it. Worth the path trip.

This hot dog stand has been a fixture in Journal Square for many, many years. They serve grilled Sabrett hot dogs, soda and fruit drinks. Whenever we go to the city, we must stop here, even if it is to have a passenger hop out of the car to get our order while the car drives around the block.

A little pricey, but the dogs don't disappoint. They are griddle fried and come with standard toppings; I went for chili-onion and chili and cheese, washed down with an orange drink. Three more dogs followed these (I didn't have any breakfast and I was hungry... Still, worth it). There's maybe three stools inside and a counter to stand at. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

The hotdog is not what it used to be, the chili actually used to be spicy, now it’s just meat and onions. The hotdog just seems smaller than it used to be and I feel paying almost $3 bucks for one bun is a little insane. Things will never be how they used to be.
